Family-friendly holiday rentals in Rockaway Beach

Linda’s cabin is a dream. It is just as listed , we especially enjoyed the trails and hot tub! The location is great - very private and peaceful . You can easily be on the coast to explore within 10 mins. Linda also provided many recommendations upon our arrival and was very responsive to any questions we had. We would love to come back in the future, it was definitely one of our top experiences.

We had a great vacation at this lovely home. A short walk to the beach. The sound of the ocean, very clean home with everything you need. The extra amenities of a hot tub, bikes, etc were a huge bonus. We enjoyed the close hiking trails. Would highly recommend and would love to come back.

The beach cottage was a great location, just minutes to the beach and downtown. Very cute cottage and great amenities. The host was very responsive to all our needs. Definitely a great place to stay!

This little cottage was so cute. My husband and I got married at Short Sands Beach and stayed here for the days leading up to it, we had the best experience. Conveniently located, well stocked, and we loved the hot tub! Would love to visit again some day for an anniversary trip.

Absolutely loved our stay! The property is perfectly located at about a 15-minute walk from the beach. Clean, well-equipped, and beautifully decorated with a relaxed coastal vibe. The host was friendly and responsive. Perfect spot for a peaceful getaway—highly recommend!

We stayed at Vista View for 3 weeks in May. Had various family members visit while we were there and everyone loved the place. It will be a vacation hard to beat. Dishwasher had a problem at one point and Sarah arrived in 5 minutes to fix it. She also stopped by once a week to check on the hot tub and make sure it was balanced and working properly.

We loved this Arch Cape home! Seeing the photos inside of this historic space, were so interesting. Loved the walkway to the beach, and sitting on the swing at night. A wonderful touch was having available firewood, to enjoy the beautiful fireplace. Our stay was very peaceful, and every amenity we needed. Thank you for sharing this beautiful space with us.

I mean, what can I say. Our family stayed here two years ago and we loved it so much that we planned an entire vacation around staying here again. John's cabin does not disappoint. There's no wifi, no tv, no radio... just a breakfast table, a couple couches that face one another and a fireplace. What more do you need to disconnect and get your headspace back? The cabin is quaint and has a remarkable history. The private beach is a one block walk away down a gravel road and all the neighbors we met were kind and sweet. We cannot say enough wonderful things about John's cabin. Thank you, John... see you again in another year or two. :)

Great place! Well appointed home. Nicely outfitted kitchen. Ashley is very sweet and accommodating. The location is great. Walkable to the beach and Sitka Sedge.

We loved the view of the water and how secluded the deck space felt! The home is so cozy and the decor very charming. This was a great location for us to explore along the coast and drive to Tillamook.

This place was fantastic. Gorgeous area and an easy drive to so many great coastal cities and state parks. Cannot beat the location and the house is very comfortable. Everything we needed was available. I rented this space for just myself and my partner for a birthday weekend. If we had brought along friends to share the cost, the price would’ve been very reasonable for the amenities and location. Would absolutely stay here again.

There are a lot of great things to say about this cozy home. The best part is the proximity to the beach. Furthermore, the part of the beach we accessed easily from the home was further away from the more touristy access point, without sacrificing an amazing view of Haystack Rock. It was relaxing with all the comforts we needed. The gas fireplace made the living room so cozy, especially after coming back from watching the sunset on the beach. We were minutes away from the restaurants and shopping yet far enough away to have very peaceful evenings. I would definitely book this again!

We had a family of 7 stay for 7 nights, and Jacob’s house was perfect for us. The kitchen was truly set up for cooking — it had everything we needed and more. The entire home was clean and well-stocked, with extra essentials easily accessible. All the bedrooms were comfortable and accommodated everyone in our group. The short walk to the beach was ideal — we went down several times a day, and even enjoyed a few beach bonfires in the evenings. Jacob also provided tons of extras in the garage, including a rolling cart that made it super easy to bring chairs and gear to the beach. Highly recommend this stay!

Loved our stay here. The house has so much character and like so many have mentioned, it’s very well stocked with anything you may need to cook or bake, extra blankets and towels, and games. We have stayed at many Airbnb’s, all with varying degrees of these things, but Colin’s place was up there with availability of needs and comforts. Very responsive to our questions. The location is fantastic. Walkable to the brewery and local market. But also quiet and off the Main Street. Wound absolutely stay here again. And hope that we do.

Peaceful, cozy, wonderful get-away with beautiful surroundings. Such thoughtful and personalized amenities and Joanne was very helful, quick to respond and friendly. Beautiful walk to the beach through the neighborhood. Would most definitely stay here again!

After turning down a quiet street and walking into Nancy & Ron’s bungalow by the sea, I just sighed and felt at home. A wall of windows brought in sunlight and soothing ocean sounds. The space is all about comfort and relaxation, from the bed and couch to a well appointed kitchen to a clean bathroom (with great water pressure) to a cozy fireplace and Himalayan salt lamps. I enjoyed getting takeout and relaxing in the really comfortable chairs on the deck as I listened to the waves and bird song and soaked in the privacy in being surrounded by lush trees and plants. I sauntered a few minutes across the dunes to long walks on the scenic beaches. I’m a frequent visitor to Manzanita and the recommendations from the hosts’s for visitors are spot on. I needed quiet, ease, and restoration and this space was perfect. On the last morning, I met Nancy & Ron who are a lovely couple who bring a lot of intention to making this a wonderful, private and soothing place. I will definitely return!

This is a beautiful, uplifting place with a great view in the hills above Nehalem village. Beautifully located just a few miles south of Manzanita and a few miles north of Wheeler, a beautiful little town on the bay with a great restaurant open on the weekends called the Salmonberry. I loved the living room looking out onto the back deck with all the beautiful plants. The bed in the master was very comfortable and the place was very spacious. Myla was kind enough to let us in early because it was our anniversary and we needed to be there a little earlier. She was always responsive and very kind. The best place I have stayed in the Manzanita area!

This place was beautiful and close to the beach. Lots of games to play if the weather is rainy. Just a short drive to short sand beach and the tide pools by haystack rock.

Lisa's place was amazing! Super comfortable, super clean, kitchen was well supplied, area was terrific. I hope to stay again on my next trip to Nehalem.
