Holiday rentals with a patio in Rockingham County

First off, Rob and Jen are genuinely kind and nice people. That contributes greatly to being super hosts who treat their guests with kindness and concern. Their apartment is just as the photos depicted. It is very clean, has a private entrance and private patio, and has all you need for a comfortable stay. The pasture raised eggs, personal note, and local coffee add a really nice touch. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, it is a short walk to town, and very close to area wineries, hiking, and fishing. Their sweet Golden Retreiver Sadie may greet you. I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning.

Communication with Isabella was a breeze. She was responsive and friendly. Location was good - just a few minutes to JMU, grocery stores, and restaurants. The place was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The kitchen had all the necessary amenities - stove, oven, fridge, microwave oven, kettle, and coffee machine. There are also washer and dryer which are able to handle big loads of laundry. The bedrooms are comfortable, as were the beds and pillows. Even though the bathroom is small, the shower water pressure is very good. Isabella and Lorenzo provided us with helpful information and recommendations of where to eat and things to do in the area. Thank you 😊

Jennifer's place is a great stay! We were there for just one night and it was perfect for access to downtown Harrisonburg to meet up with family. very quiet and peaceful setting in the countryside. We did not hear the hosts the live in the space above the apartment. additional information/instructions were around the apartment that were very helpful. we would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

this is a lovely place. The host?, Glenn, was so very helpful and friendly. He lives above the guest house. Everything is very peaceful and pretty. The river and firepit are just across the street. We enjoyed our time Although the river was too high for us to use the kayaks

This place was an excellent weekend getaway. Very clean, nicely decorated. Felt at home. We cooked every meal in the kitchen no problem. Excellent location for winter or summer mountain activities. The pool was a great bonus after a day of mountain biking. So much fun, look forward to staying again.

We are repeat guests at Paula’s and it’s always a great time. Visiting our JMU Duke and staying at the Southern Charm Retreat is always fun, convenient to the campus and relaxing. House is roomy and super clean. The game room is a fun bonus and the back yard deck is beautiful, well maintained and great for entertaining. Thanks as always Paula !

We had a wonderful stay at Andrea's property. There was plenty of space and there were thoughtful amenities. The kitchen appliances were top-notch. We really enjoyed the large comfortable bed. Being able to walk out the front to the street or out the back entrance was an added bonus. The instruction book was nice, everything was perfectly described, and we had no problems with the wi-fi. Being next to the General Store was great and it was fun to see all the historic properties up and down the street. If the Fraternal Order of Eagles has an event here again we would love to stay at Andrea's property.

Check in was simple with instructions provided. House was clean, quiet & comfortable, as well as close to everything. We loved the openness of the layout & were surprised at how much space there was. It was nicely stocked with kitchen basics & bedrooms were super comfy.

Shannon and Julianne were great hosts! This home had everything to offer. You really don’t need to bring anything with you! There were a lot of amenities. We loved sitting outside at the fire pit and relaxing. The house was very clean and comfortable. There is a lot to explore in Harrisonburg. We would definitely recommend staying at this house!

Absolutely loved our stay at Emily and Gabriel’s Airbnb in Harrisonburg! From the moment we arrived, they were so warm and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests and go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. They were super responsive anytime we had a question, and even took the time to wash our towels for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The house itself was spotless, clean, cozy, and exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Everything was exactly as described (if not better), and it truly felt like a home away from home. Emily and Gabriel are amazing hosts, and I would 100% stay at their place again. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful, relaxing, much needed getaway for a birthday weekend. We really enjoyed the screened in patio and the hot tub! We also appreciated the guidebook that was provided for us in the living room. It was much helpful! We felt right at home and even wished we had came a day earlier. Great stay!

I’m not sure where to start! I wish I could rate this experience a 10/10. Super accommodating, super flexible, beautiful place that met our needs perfectly. It fit the 4 of us well. House was super clean. We brought our dogs with us and it worked out seamlessly. Also 10-15 from JMU. Went for an event at JMU. The guest book was also super helpful. We really appreciated the early check in and late checkout. Thanks again!!!

The house was quaint and comfortable. We were allowed to have a graduation celebration which we much appreciated. The house is older but well maintained and comfortable.

Our stay at OverlookLoft was amazing. Host James answered our many questions, and made us feel right at home. The loft is about 20minutes from Shenandoah national park, and within 60minutes of 10 different hikes along Skyline Drive. The loft has upgraded amenities, including remote control hvac, and a new outdoor propane grill. You’ll find comfy outdoor seating on the refinished deck. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, spices and more. Making a home cooked meal was easy and convenient. The onsite water supply was fresh, clean and delicious, I strongly recommend giving the tap a try. Inside you’ll find a thoughtful guidebook, loaded with numerous pages of local hotspots and town history. The local town of Elkton was filled with super friendly folks. As was nearby Harrisonburg. Glad we had our 4x4 with us, as some parts of the road and driveway were steep.

A perfect getaway! Felt like home and was peaceful and relaxing. Had everything needed for a wonderful weekend. The sauna and jacuzzi tub were very enjoyable! All around more than we could have expected. Comfortable beds. Beautiful set up and decor. Pleasant deck seating and grill! And great communication. Thank you so much, would love to return again.

Have stayed here multiple times now but this visit was specifically for my daughter and son in law to enjoy a babymoon getaway. The river is easily accessible so they floated in tubes one day and took their canoe out another. They were able to take their dog as it is dog friendly. They grilled out and enjoyed the beautiful decks around the home. Resturant suggestions were layed out with local menus as well as local attractions. Luray Caverns is close by, Cooters, from Dukes of Hazards store serves a great lunch, and the drive and scenery all around is incredible. Sharon is the best host and always available by text or phone for questions. Check in and out were simple.

Great location in the resort. Lots of events for entertainment.

It was great to have a quiet place with enough beds for our group. We had fun playing cards in the living room at night, and the view of the stars outside was great, too!

Joy's condo in Bridgewater was very pretty, spacious, comfortable and clean. My traveling companions and I thoroughly enjoyed using it as a home base for our activities. It had everything we needed to feel at home. The neighborhood that it was in was very quiet and easy to get in and out of. I would definitely recommend it as a wonderful place to stay when vacationing in that area of Virginia. Susan

Molly was a great host. The Airbnb looks exactly like the photos. The place was clean and had everything we needed. It was quiet and we couldn’t hear any neighbors. Molly gave very detailed instructions which made checking in super simple. The beds were a little bit hard but other than that, this was a perfect place to stay.

We had such an amazing stay at Doug’s place! I totally recommend to anyone who’s looking for a cozy home with nice amenities in the woods. Not only that but lake laura is very accessible from the space, they have water sport rentals there and we went swimming in the lake a few times. It’s walkable! the connivence store nearby has essential groceries. Great location if you’re trying to access the Shenandoah as well, it’s about an hour and a half drive depending where you’re trying to access.

The rental and grounds met our expectations and needs very well. Lots to do in the surrounding area. The pool and hot tub were just right. Comfy beds and cozy common area.
