  • Very nice and cosy cabin!

  • The cabin is lovely and exactly as described in the listing. Yes, it is near to the train tracks but the noise only bothered me on one night when there was very heavy rain too. My daughter enjoyed the vast selection of DVDs and it was a lovely cosy place to come back to in the evening. It's super easy to check in and it was easy to find the cabin in the park. Lovely views down to the river.

  • The poppy lodge feels like a luxurious cottage. Although right next to a railway it’s not at inconvenience at all it’s a lovely location. The space and presentation is so impressive & you can tell a lot of love and care has been taken to create such a lovely lodge. X

  • Jo’s place, while within a lodges park, felt quiet and secluded. It’s a great base to explore that part of the Cairngorms and the surrounding area.

  • Incredibly wholesome place. Loved the area

    Morgan2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in a cosy lodge. Good location, the Christmas decorations were a nice touch.

  • Jo’s place was beautifully presented, check in was straightforward, and it provided a solid base for our (3 in total) weekend in Scotland. I would definitely return to this place and not even look at other airbnb’s in the area as I couldn’t fault it one bit. Thanks Jo.

Our cosy 4 bed country cottage is set back off the main road overlooking the Taymouth Castle Golf Course and the stunning village of Kenmore, which is on the banks of Loch Tay. It comfortably sleeps up to 6 adults and 2 children with access to local amenities and family friendly activities. This area is also ideal for walking and cycling.
Our cosy Estate Cottage has 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and a family space upstairs. Please note the family space is best suited to 2 adults and 2 children as the twin bedroom upstairs is accessed through the double bedroom. There is also an open plan bathing area in this space.
Kenmore is a small village in Perthshire, which is a popular centre for activities on Loch Tay. This beautiful village is at the northern end of the14-mile long Loch Tay. It's great for activities on and around the Loch itself, such as sailing, canoeing, water-skiing, jet-biking, or for the more leisurely, fishing or golfing! There's a couple of local Hotels and The Courtyard restaurant, so plenty choice for eating out. And if you're looking to buy gifts or great fresh local produce, pop into The Courtyard shop. The main attraction is the Scottish Crannog Centre, one of the country's top heritage sites where you can discover what life was like over 2500 years ago! This reconstructed thatched wooden house is built on stilts over the water, with a gangway that would have been lifted up in the event of danger. - from VisitScotland.com
  • This was our second visit to Carlo’s cottage. Excellent location, great space and Carlo is really helpful with fast responses. Wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thanks

    Jillian2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed last year at Carlo's place in Kenmore and didn't hesitate to rebook again for this year. It is a lovely cottage, very comfortable and warm. We had everything we needed and the space is perfect for 4 adults each having their own room. The double duvets on single beds are a nice touch, and the shower has good pressure and hot! The location is perfect, not too far to walk into Kenmore but isolated enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. We saw deer every morning and listening to the owls at night Just wonderful.

    Suzanna2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The location of this house is wonderful. The house itself is comfortable and with the log fire, very cosy!

    Jesse2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We love Loch Tay and wanted to share our love with our family and so arranged a surprise stay for my brother & his family for this 40th. The kids loved the space so much. There was lots of place for them to play inside and out. It was great that they could stay in the conservatory to draw on the blackboard and play board games whilst we adults could enjoy a chat and a wee glass of wine round the fire. Conservatory obviously pretty cold in winter so bring your slippers & hoodies but nothing better than sitting round the fire playing charades! :) The house was surprisingly well stocked with everything you could need and felt really homely. My husband enjoyed morning runs in the surrounding countryside and Kenmore is walkable distance for a play park, shop, restaurant and other amenities (as is the Crannog!). We had a great time and are already considering coming back again together next year now that my family also share our love for the beautiful Loch Tay :)

  • Carlo’s apartment is perfect for a weekend a way with the family, close to some really nice walks and in a quiet area.

    Sarah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place and easy to find. Location was superb, great scenery and walking distance to Kenmore. House was cosy and well equipped. Couldn't fault anything. Highly recommended getaway

    Alex2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great cottage in a fab location. It was the perfect size for 4 adults & 4 children. Very well equipped for our needs. The kids found the bath in the upstairs bedroom to be a great novelty (I’ve never seen them want to get in the bath so quickly!!) Washing machine & tumble dryer in the garage was an added bonus after being out exploring. Kenmore was about a 15 min walk away with some amazing views on the way.

    Emily2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Carlo’s place was amazing. So cozy but spacious for my family of 6! The sunroom had the most spectacular view. He had great recommendations for what to do and where to eat. He was so responsive and helpful. Can’t wait to come back!

  • Stephen and Jill are lovely hosts. They’re very warm and friendly and make you feel at home. Alby the dog is an excellent host too! The location is picturesque and beautiful, very quiet and free of light pollution so the stargazing is great. It’s definitely for those seeking to relax in nature and recharge. Make sure you do a little walking in the immediate area to appreciate the place. It’s an easy drive to Pitlochry for food and provisions with walks and climbs everywhere. There are wonderful personal touches that add to the stay. Definitely recommended!

  • I walked here alone and stayed for one night. Jill and Stephen clearly delight in hosting and made sure that I was comfortable and happy, and offered to help as much as they could. They have had lots of interesting guests and have some great stories to share. After chatting to Jill over breakfast I left feeling inspired - she has had a very interesting life and offered a lot of insight into my own plans. I can’t recommend this place highly enough!

    Poppy H2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Steven and Jill for your hospitality. You were kind to meet me on my late arrival, show me around the house, let me greet and pat your lovely dog, offer me a breakfast and a conversation. I also found the surroundings very calm and beautiful and saw a pack of deer run through the nearby field in the morning! I'd gladly come back!

    Ivan2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jill and Stephen were the most wonderful hosts. A beautiful home in a stunning area. Delicious breakfast and a warm bed. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended!

  • Jill & Stephen were so lovely and welcoming, especially the tea and cake on arrival was fab! Breakfast was delicious and layed out lovely. The house was very cute and the bedroom very comfortable with everything I needed. They also didn’t mind me having to check out early morning for work. Really pleasant stay and very lovely hosts.

    Natalie2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jill and Stephens place is all you want from a rural Scottish visit. The house is just beautiful inside and out, and the location is very peaceful. Jill was so welcoming and friendly and truly made me feel like I was at home, and the breakfast was splendid. I will come again and I will recommend the stay to all.

Cruck Cottage is a unique, spacious secluded cosy cottage with private garden in Highland Perthshire close to Aberfeldy and Kenmore, offering the perfect hideaway to relax and unwind. The cottage is stylish and surprisingly spacious due to it's high cathedral ceiling in the lounge/dining room. Situated in the quiet little hamlet of Camserney, you can chose to simply relax in front of the cosy log fire or explore the spectacular scenery of the area. Perfectly located for walking and cycling.
In the words of our guests.... “Wow, a little piece of Perthshire heaven” “The Cottage is simply stunning” “Set in the most stunning Perthshire countryside” “Crisp white bedding that made me feel like I was in a 5 star hotel” Cruck Cottage is a fully renovated traditional stone cottage, still retaining many of it's original features. Originally built in 1768 the cottage was once thatched. It lay derelict for many years before being beautifully renovated in the late 1980s and still features the original oak Cruck (oak frame that used to support the thatched roof) in the lounge/dining room. This provides a unique and historic feature in the main lounge/dining area with it's high cathedral ceiling. The lounge has a floor to ceiling stone fireplace with large wood burning stove. The master bedroom on the ground floor features a luxury solid oak super king sized bed with extra deep mattress, antique double wardrobe and chest of drawers with dressing mirror. This bedroom leads through to a beautiful conservatory with double doors to the garden. The second bedroom is on a mezzanine level which is accessed by a staircase leading from the lounge/dining room. This room has 2 single beds, two comfortable armchairs and a well stocked bookcase and selection of board games. As well as being a very comfortable bedroom this room also provides a lovely space for relaxing, reading etc with views to the garden and surrounding hills. The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over the bath. Wash hand basin with vanity unit and toilet. The cottage has a beautiful brand new fitted kitchen with cashmere coloured wall and base units, with mahogany wood look laminate worktops and flooring. The kitchen is very well equipped and has an electric oven and ceramic hob, under counter fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and washing machine.
The cottage is secluded but is only 3.3 miles from Aberfeldy and 6 miles from Kenmore. There are numerous activities and places of interest in the area and there are guides to many of them in the leaflets in the cottage.
  • Cruck Cottage is a hidden gem full of character tucked away in an idyllic location close to Aberfeldy. Ideal for 2 couples or a family of 4 - I went with my husband &parents. Lovely open plan sitting room with wood burning stove (took a while to heat up !). Friendly neighbours who helped us get our car out of the drive in the snow and Elaine was a great host answering my questions promptly & checking we had arrived safely. I would thoroughly recommend Cruck Cottage - don’t hesitate to book !

    Elizabeth2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, cosy cottage in such a pretty location. Elaine was a great host - wish we could have stayed longer!

    Jill2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect place to stay. Beautiful property, lovely and cosy with the open fire roaring. Everything you need to make your stay easy. The area is wonderful, lovely coffee shop in Aberfeldy called Habitat, well worth a visit (dog friendly) and Griffin Forest is a lovely walk made even better with lots of snow. We managed to fit in a lot of exploring too, Glencoe, St Andrews and even Balmoral. They are quite a drive but well worth it to take in all the fantastic scenery Scotland has to offer. We would really recommend a stay at Elaines place, and hope to go back one day.

    Karen2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cosy cottage with some lovely extra touches to make it the ideal place to get away from it all and enjoy the beautiful surrounding countryside.

    Anna2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We booked Elaine's cottage for a girls' getaway. The cottage is beautiful, cosy and filled with lovely touches. We were able to take gorgeous walks right from the front door and stayed warm by the fire. We had a dog and an infant with us and found the cottage had everything we needed. Would absolutely stay again.

    Lauren2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing stay! Elaine's cosy cottage is the perfect Perthshire getaway. It was the ideal place to venture into the glorious Scottish countryside, while the roaring fire offered some much needed cosiness on our return. Kitchen, bedroom and toilets all spotless and well kitted out, the conservatory was great to soak in the scenery from inside, and the upstairs mezzanine is a great little addition. Lovely welcome hamper too that was the icing on the cake. We'll certainly be back!

    Paul2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous cottage. Photos don’t do it justice. Need a car due to lovely location. Lots of nice walks around about. Elaine and her hubby went out of their way to make our stay as good as possible. Even dropping a hand blender off for us to use! Very hospitable. Would definitely recommend.

  • Stunning views, well equipped and great hospitality.

    Gary2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • A nice log cabin on a working farm. Beautiful creek and bird sounds all morning, kitchen is nicely fitted and the robes/dressing gowns were so soft. Follow their instructions to find the place; Google Maps indeed sends you to their neighbors. Bed was a bit short - I'm 6'1"/185cm and my feet had to rest on the bed frame, an inch or so higher than the mattress, to stretch out.

    Dan2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Such a perfect little cabin. Will definitely return for a longer stay. The cabin is fully equipped, kitchen has everything required to cook a meal or mix up some drinks. Plenty of towels and 4 bath robes which are perfect after some hot tub action! TV has a hdmi port for Chromecast or firestick, WiFi was also fast and easy to connect too. I can't fault anything about this cabin it was the perfect get away for my sisters 40th.

    Lana2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

Our cosy cottage is the perfect Highland antidote to busy modern life for families and couples alike! Nestled in the rolling hills near Keltneyburn, this is a luxurious sanctuary providing all you need to rest, relax and enjoy in comfort.
This cottage is part of an award winning 18th century Steading conversion, tucked away from the rest of the world in the stunning Scottish highlands, within view of Schiehallion. The only sounds you'll hear by day will be the distant burbling of the river or the occasional tweet of a bird as you relax in tranquillity. The cottage itself was converted from crumbling cowsheds into a fresh, modern country retreat, featuring all the home comforts you would expect in a luxury getaway, including roaring log burner, indulgent beds and sofas to sink into, plush carpets, solid wooden flooring and fully equipped kitchen (including full sized dishwasher). Heating is provided courtesy of the log-burner as well as storage heaters, which will be switched on prior to your arrival. One basket of logs will be provided for you. The cottage features two bedrooms, the main with a double bed and the second with two singles that can also zip together to form a super-king sized bed, making this ideal for a couples break away or a family holiday. There is also a spare bed downstairs in the living area as one of the sofas converts into a bed with extra topper available for a guaranteed great night's sleep, so all in can sleep max 5 people. The cottage has 2 well equipped bathrooms (1 with bath, 1 with double sized shower). For larger parties and longer stays, there is also access to the garage, in which you will find a washing machine and separate tumble drier, as well as family sized fridge freezer (there is also a small one of course in the kitchen!). Its also possible to store bicycles and any muddy boots in the garage. A Weber bbq is also provided for you, in case you should wish to make the best of the Scottish weather in the private garden to the front or rear of the property, and garden furniture is also available. Alternatively, if you prefer to make the most of the indoor space, DVDs, board games, puzzles and a selection of books are all available for you. Also, we are baby/small child friendly, so can make a cot and high chair available on request.
  • This is a fantastic cottage. My wife and I throughly enjoyed our stay. We used this as our "home" to then hike all the local trails. Could not have been a better location. Cottage is has everything one could need to make it fell like home. Should we find our way in this area again this will be the only place we stay.

  • We enjoyed a great week in Claire's cottage. Claire was a great host with helpful communication in the run up to our stay. The cottage is in a great location for exploring and well equipped for a comfortable stay. We'd recommend to anyone.

  • Great place for an autumn getaway! Claire was very helpful on the run up to the booking and quick to respond. The place was spotless and the woodburner was great as the nights become longer and a bit chillier

    Steph And Murray2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great experience at Claire's place, a short 15 minute drive from Aberfeldy, a very charming small town in the center of Scotland. The cottage was a perfect home and central point for adventuring through the countryside. The fireplace was a nice addition to the chilly October nights and housed lots of memories for our trip abroad!

    Matthew2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great long weekend away at Claire’s cottage. It was perfect for our family of four, with everything we needed and plenty of space to stretch out. The wood burning stove made sure we were toasty warm on our first frosty night of the autumn. The kitchen is very well equipped and had everything we needed. The garden was a lovely spot to sit with a coffee and watch the deer on the hillside! The local area was just stunning with the autumn colours and we enjoyed some fab walks in the woods and clambering over waterfalls. We would highly recommend Claire’s place as a base to explore Perthshire.

  • A really lovely place to stay, easy access to the local town, and an easy walk everywhere, while also being really private. The inside is amazing, with full shower, nice space for a couple or a single person getaway. The host was really nice and welcoming, and takes really good care of the place. Will be back with my Girlfriend for sure in the near future!

  • Stunning cottage in a beautiful setting. The hosts have everything covered for you for a brilliant break. Spotlessly clean and really warm cosy house. Oh and the hot tub is the icing on the cake. Would return in a heartbeat.

  • We loved our stay at the Bothy, the cottage had everything you needed and is spotless. Enjoyed spending time looking at the beautiful scenery from the hot tub. There’s a log fire with a firewood store just outside. Short walk in to Aberfeldy if you fancy eating out or going to the pubs. Great spot for local walks and seems to be a short drive to local attractions. We’d love to come back!

    Francesca2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • A beautifully renovated property, at the Birks of Aberfeldy. We used it as a base for walking and relaxing, but it's close enough Aberfeldy to get easy access to amenities. Well maintained and clean, comfy bed, relaxing hot tube; everything met or exceeded expectations. Would happily recommend to anyone.

  • Myself, my wife and 1 year old son stayed in the Bothy for a long weekend. This property was even nicer than we expected and had absolutely everything that we needed from local attractions explained in a folder, a kitchen full of every utensil that you would need which added to the self catering experience. The property itself is spacious and is really nicely decorated with a large bathroom and open fire in the living room. (Unlimited fire wood supplied) The views from the back of the property are brilliant and even more enjoyable when sitting in the hot tub with a beer! Thanks again.

Deep in the heart of Aberfeldy town centre our very large Victorian 3 bedroom second floor apartment is within feet of all local amenities. The property is very large and spacious with all you need for an enjoyable stay. There is plenty of parking outside the private entrance on Moness terrace and further parking at the rear of the coop. There are few stairs to negotiate but what a lovely view from the corner window in the living room. Dog friendly. We live local and easily contactable.
Victorian building with high ceilings and lovely character. Lovely views from the corner window for people watching. As central as you can get in this lovely Perthshire town. We accept well behaved dogs.
Sitting central to all of Aberfeldy's amenities. Coop only 50 metres away and numerous shops, restaurants, cafe's, bars, a stone throw away. The local post office and cinema within 100 meters and bus stop a mere 150 metres away. With a golf course, tennis club (2 courts with floodlights) and bowling green a short walk away. Fishing of course, both Trout and Salmon all within a short walk.

  • Euan and Irene were ideal hosts. Great communication beforehand and very welcoming on arrival. Loved the coffee and scones! The house was easy to find with driveway parking. Spotlessly clean and the room was spacious and warm, with comfortable twin beds and a very homely feel. The en-suite was a fine size with a lovely shower and plenty toiletries and towels. Euan and Irene were very friendly and hospitable with free run of the kitchen. Great chats but also respected privacy. Nothing was a bother. I can see how they have so many excellent reviews and certainly lived up to their reputation. It was a pleasure staying there and I would be more than happy to return.

    Iain2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • These two are such wonderful and welcoming hosts. They make you feel like you are old friends. I have stayed with them before and remembered I would have scones and tea upon arrival. I even had porridge for breakfast and a nice gift of chocolates for my birthday. I highly recommend them.

  • My boyfriend and I were in the area to see the Enchanted Forest. Euan and Irene’s house was a 25 minute drive away so we thought this was perfect - Irene was up to let us in at the late hour of 5 past 11 which was very accommodating of her. They have a lovely, comfortable home but most of all they are very welcoming and personable hosts - thank you for your outstanding hospitality and the tasty scones!

Stella is a 1973 Airstream. Your Hosts Niki and Nir have lovingly restored her bringing her in to the 21st century. Situated in their organic gardens, but tucked away from the main house. Located in the stunning countryside of Highland Perthshire with an abundance of outdoor pursuits on your doorstep to enjoy. Or you might just like to wind the days away relaxing in the hot-tub chilling out.
Offering all the best of Scotland, there is something for all ages and interests here whether you seek adventure, cultural stimulation, wildlife, or well-being. The nearest town Aberfeldy is Scotland's first Fairtrade town and retailers and attractions throughout the area do their best to promote Fairtrade, organic and environmentally friendly products. Just six miles west of the town, Loch Tay is the largest loch in Perthshire, framed by majestic mountains and hillside farms and cottages. As well as being the popular playground of sailors and watersports enthusiasts. Nearby to the north, Glen Lyon is often described as the longest, and loveliest glen in Scotland, and has a wonderfully mystical atmosphere.
  • Amazing place to stay. Great escape from the grind with stunning views and wonderful facilities

    Jamie2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying here! Beautiful location and the hottub was amazing!

    Allana2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful little place. Easy to find and the interior of the Airstream was even nicer and more spacious than the pictures suggest. The hot tub was warm on arrival and the outside area has a lovely vibe to it. Only a 5 minute drive to Aberfeldy where there are some nice cafes and a shop. I cannot recommend enough.

    Jordan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Stella is a perfect getaway for anyone who wants to step away from a busier Scottish city. It has all the wee things that you’d like in an Airbnb but has a massive selling point in a hot tub with a beautiful view of Scottish hills.

    Calum2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing place and space to escape from the world for a few days or longer. Stella has been restored to a new found glory and is full of all the modern facilities and equipment to make the stay feel like a home from home. The bed is such a comfortable and cosy place to retreat to after a relaxing hour in the hottub. The area surrounding Stella is remote and peaceful, yet the town nearby is only a walk or drive away. The highlight for us, was whilst out walking in the woods behind Stella we encountered the wild deer that roam the countryside.

    Steven2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a perfect weekend in Stella, and would of happily stayed longer. We never actually met our hosts Niki and Nir but the communication before and during our stay was impeccable. Stella is a beautiful gem and we have already looking at a return trip. Storm Dennis did force us to change our plans but Stella keep us in luxurious comfort. Thank you for having us

    Sam2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great space, hot tub is lovely and spectacular views. Will definitely be back.

    Tracy2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Can’t thank you enough for such an amazing stay. From the photos we already knew it was exactly what we were looking for for a quiet, relaxing few days away. Everything was absolutely spotless and very well presented and the hot tub was just superb. There was everything we needed and more - cosy blankets, a great little coffee machine, the kitchen cupboards and drawers were so well stocked with everything we needed as well. Excellent communication and directions and also info about local walks and amenities. Can’t thank you enough and would highly recommend for anyone looking for some peace and quiet and to get away to relax, or anyone who loves to be close to amazing scenery and walks. Thank you again! Guests say: “Comfiest bed ever !” “Wish we’d stayed longer!” A few minutes walk from a lovely bar/restaurant and Castle Menzies, the Still is a detached, beautifully renovated historical cottage in a hamlet by Aberfeldy. A well-furnished, spotless space to enjoy ( no added cleaning fee.) Come for a rest, the outdoors, tourist must-do’s, etc! Easy self catering, local restaurants and shops, local stunning scenery. 5-star host: Bec is v helpful when needed, but guests enjoy uninterrupted peace!
Centuries ago the Old Whisky Still produced whisky, legally or otherwise, for guests and locals. It had been a ruin for decades before its renovation in 2018. The thick walls and stone work give it a cosy and traditional feel, but the open plan layout and vaulted ceiling lend a lovely sense of space. Relax, take walks by the River Tay, Moness Falls or Weem Woods all on your doorstep, then settle down by the wood burning stove in this unique space!
Photos of this beautiful part of Scotland rarely do it justice! Aberfeldy is a thriving Highland town, six miles from Loch Tay, with fantastic community spirit and national award-winning tourist attractions and businesses. These include Dewar's Distillery, bookshops and art galleries, great coffee shops, Castle visits, land rover safaris and boat trips. There's an Art Deco cinema, a community library and excellent sports centre, and much more! The area is famous for outdoor pursuits including canoeing and rafting, hillwalking and fishing, and sporting events take place every year such as cycling and triathlon. The area is also a great favourite for walkers and artists. Guests always enthuse about their stay in this wonderful area, and very often, they make a return visit! This is a beautiful area in its own quiet valley, but also so central , in the heart of Scotland, and equidistant from Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Inverness, as well as Fort William on the west coast, St Andrews on the east.
  • Beautifully clean , quiet and welcoming.

  • Bec’s place is even better than it looks in the photos. It was spotless throughout and tastefully decorated. The bed is huge and very comfortable. Location is great too and Bec recommended some local attractions, all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. Would love to come back again to explore the area a bit more.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Bec’s place. She was very thoughtful and kept us in touch with emerging road closures due to flooding on our way to the place. Her place is spotless and a beautifully cosy little space. A lovely space to spend time, and a lovely area to explore. The nearby Watermill bookshop in Aberfeldy is a particular favourite.

  • Thank you to Bec for the most amazing stay at the Old a Whisky Still! We had such a relaxing time in the beautiful Still but also had plenty of things that we could have done. Bec was constantly on hand with anything we needed and nothing was too much to ask. Thank you Bec for an idyllic stay! We couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Relaxing hot tub which we enjoyed all times of the day/night - so much privacy, very secluded! Towns/Villages to sight see or eat are within minutes! Everything we could have wanted! Thanks so much!

  • We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful cottage. Everything is brand new, super clean, cosy and the little breakfast was an extra touch that made all the difference, perfect airbnb!

  • Laura was a great host. She replied to our request within minutes and provided accurate directions to get to her home. The bothy was warm and quaint! There was plenty of wood for the woodstove and all utensils and amenities included. The cottage was sparkling clean and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. A wonderful country retreat if you're looking to get away from the big smoke for the night. Would highly recommend to all!

  • Amazing space to relax in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Bothy Retreat and will highly recommend it to anyone wanting to escape city life. The cosy log burner warmed us up during the cold winter nights!

Due to the weather we are now closed until the beginning of March. We are 2 miles up a gravel track, which is okay as long as you drive it steadily. Most standard cars are fine. But once you are up here you can share the beautiful walks and activities the chalet offers. There are stunning Munro's, waterfalls and lochs on the doorstep; visits to taste and see the finest whiskey being made; lots of excellent pubs, restaurants and cafes to visit, or just stay, relax and enjoy the views.
Not only do you have your own chalet with two separate ensuite bedrooms, each with a double bed, but also a small but fully equipped kitchen, with hob, oven, small fridge and eating area for four. There is also a large sheltered patio with seating if you fancy eating outside. To the rear of the chalet is a terraced lawn offering great views over the valley. The chalet has its own gas central heating so you will be warm whatever the weather outside.
You will be adjacent to a working farm, so please observe the Countryside Code.
  • Had a wonderful 2 night stay at Peter and Suzanne's chalet. They were excellent hosts, the chalet was perfect and the views are stunning. Thanks for having us.

    Andrew2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful sunrise views both mornings! Breakfast is provided which is a lovely touch. The road up to the chalet is a little rough but Peter provided us with great instructions. Beds were comfy & heating made the place really cosy!

  • Peters place is surrounded by beautiful scenery, lovely walks and is perfect for enjoying a weekend away exploring this area of Scotland. It is about a 15 minute drive from Aberfeldy and is approached via a steep uphill road/track. It’s very secluded and Peter is a brilliant host - providing local knowledge and tips.

    Lauren2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • My parents and I went on a road trip through Scotland and spent our first two nights at Peter's cottage, and let's just say it was the perfect start of our road trip. The location is great, super quite and perfect for relaxing - the view is amazing! Everything you'd need for a pleasant stay is provided. There are also a lot of walks and hikes nearby. The road was a bit bumpy, but totally manageable! Peter is a really nice host, who is there if you've got any questions and can give you good tips for the surrounding area, but also leaves you your privacy. We would definitely come back and then stay a bit longer ;).

Aberfeldy is a cute Hughland town with lots to do, beautiful Loch Tay is only 5 miles away. The Armoury is well placed for beautiful river and country walks with many diverse activities such as white water rafting, golf, mountain biking, hill climbing - all on the doorstep. Glass walls in the family room maximise light and bring the cottage garden into the house. It is a private walled garden. The dining kitchen seats 8 or you can stroll into Aberfeldy - 2 minutes walk, for ample dining choice.
Guests love this cosy cottage with the snug with the real fire recessed in a Natural stone wall. Then through to the very spacious lounge / dining/ kitchen Family room ideal for entertaining.
We are well placed for river walks and 5 mins Walk from the famous birks of Aberfeldy with its beautiful waterfalls.
  • Really spacious kitchen, dining & conservatory area. Warm & comfortable place to stay. 4 single lads fit in without any problem. We chose a particularly stormy, wet & snowy long weekend to climb some of the many nearby munros. Plenty of space to dry full winter gear too.

    Michael2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Armoury is a beautiful home in a beautiful location. Great value for money, the Armoury has everything that you need. All village amenities are within short walking distance. The fire was outstanding, the hot water and heating spot on. It’s a great family space that us and our three children enjoyed every corner of. We will be back. ❤️

    Susan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay at Rosemary's cottage. It was perfect for our family of 5 and our labrador. The garden was a real plus and so was the log fire although the cottage was really warm and cosy without the fire on too. The cottage was really clean and had everything we needed. The cottage is perfectly located for exploring the local area and also really handy for local shops and restaurants. We had a really delicious meal in the Three Lemons. We will definitely book Rosemary's place again next time we visit Aberfeldy.

    Jane2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet, private and charming cottage perfectly located in Aberfeldy to allow exploration of Perthshire. The sun room is just great!

    Gregor2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the armoury. Perfect enclosed garden for dogs and kids, central location and lovely, social living space. We will definitely be back.

    Jodie2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Really beautiful space, the extension out the back is wonderful with the cottage garden. The location is convenient for the village but still quiet with a variety of bird song from the surrounding trees. The space is ideal for dogs with the secure garden although the neighbours dog likes to poke its head over the wall! We would definitely return if coming to the area again.

    Klare2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived as 4 male cyclists looking to experience the Scottish locks and mountains. The location was perfect just 5 or so miles from Lock Tay and mountains beyond. The house was perfect for parking our Van and securing Bikes. The open plan kitchen and concervatory area worked extremely well for food and post ride relaxation. The house has two bedrooms comfortable for 4 adults with two bathrooms. The house is overall very spacious but 2 people would need to sleep in the lounge if 6 occupied. It is incredibly good value, quiet, restfull and well located. I would definitely return.

    Robert2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • A really well located and cosy little cottage, fantastic kitchen and garden to cook and eat in. Really comfortable sofa and beds and hot water for baths after a tiring day walking some of the great places around Aberfeldy. Only thing would be to make sure you bring own stick for the fire and extra amenities for the kitchen as nothing is provided. Great host and thank you again Rosemary x

My little house is unashamedly furnished as a country cottage. It is light and bright and colourful. Aimed at lifting your spirits and immersing you straight into nature. Our area, the Heart of Scotland, embodies all that is beautiful in Scotland - mountains, moors, rivers, lochs, woodlands and waterfalls. Here you can walk, golf, canoe, cycle, swim and climb hills in the fresh, clear air surrounded by nature. Scientist have proven the many health benefits of being in and exercising in nature.
The houses is situated in the middle of Scotland and as a base is ideal for exploring the whole of Scotland. The main cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Aberdeen - all can be reached from here in one day. This is an ideal base amid stunning and soul-lifting scenery. Aberfeldy is a pretty, lively town in Highland Perthshire. Burns wrote a poem about The Birks in 1787 and you can follow the footpaths for 2 miles up to the Falls of Moness, where you will discover spectacular views! The town is also home to Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery which is open throughout the year, why not pop in and take a tour and a dram? The heritage exhibition is well worth a visit where you can learn more about John Dewar & Sons. Traditional Scottish country cottage situated near the beautiful Highland Perthshire village of Strathtay. The cottage sits in an elevated, secluded spot above the River Tay, just off National Cycle Route 7. We have three spacious bedrooms, two with king-size beds and one with two single beds. Our games room has a table tennis table and a selection of games. In our spacious garden you'll find a lovely outdoor dining area and a wood-fired hot tub! We love it there and hope you will too.
The cottage is nestled in a secluded, wooded area near the glorious River Tay. We're so pleased to be able to share it with you. OUTSIDE you'll find plenty of space to park three cars and a garage where you can store your bicycles. There's a large garden with plenty of room for sunbathing (though please remember it's Scotland!). The landscaped outdoor dining area is the perfect place to dine al fresco, and once you've had dinner and done the dishes, what could be more relaxing than our wonderful wood-fired hot tub? The hot tub is totally guest-controlled - but don't worry, you'll be given all the instructions you require. In spring/summer/autumn it will be pre-filled for you to fire up and enjoy at your leisure. In winter (November to March), you'll have to fill it before you fire up, but it'll be worth the wait as you lie back and gaze up into those clear and cold winter skies! INSIDE the cottage, you're greeted by a large porch with a bench that's just perfect for taking off your hiking boots after a day in the hills. You then come in to the tastefully decorated dining room, with a huge dining table which seats up to ten people. The kitchen is well-stocked, with a double oven and grill, induction hob, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle, digital radio and all the pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and utensils you should need. From the kitchen there's access to the back garden and also a small WC. Coming through to the main part of the house, an airy hall leads to a downstairs bedroom and living room on the ground floor. The living room is cosy and is kitted out with two large sofas. The TV is internet-ready (Netflix available for guest use) and has a (limited) selection of Freeview channels. The centrepiece is a wood-burning stove (logs provided), perfect for quiet nights in watching a film or playing games. The downstairs bedroom (blue) has a king-size bed, beautiful antique wardrobe and a handy dressing table with mirror. Upstairs, you'll find the bathroom, a shower room, two bedrooms and the games room. The bathroom has a shower, bath and toilet. The shower has great pressure and will hopefully invigorate you for the day ahead. There's also a further separate shower room with an excellent electric shower. The games room has a table tennis table, perfect for a family tournament! There's also a selection of board games here to enjoy, including family favourites such as Trivial Pursuit, Linkee and Pictionary. When not playing table tennis, you can relax on the sofa and watch some TV - use the Google Home App to connect to the TV and watch content. There's also a Nintendo Switch with Zelda and Super Mario games. The second bedroom (cream) has another king-size bed, a cupboard for your clothes and a beautiful vintage dressing table and wall mirror. You'll also find a cot here, and a full length mirror to check you're looking your best! The last bedroom (purple) has two single beds, a cute vintage chest of drawers and another full-length mirror with hanging rail.

  • We could not have asked for a better, more interesting, comfortable and stylish place to stay. Richard was so helpful right from the off and we just loved the setting and the area. The house had everything we needed and more. I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed staying there.

  • Beautifully decorated rooms, lovely little touches and treats, high quality furniture. luxurious and tasteful.

    Jill2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful, relaxing and tranquil. We absolutely loved our stay and Richard was a great host. The hot tub was the perfect addition to the cold frosty February nights. The house and garden were also perfect for our two boisterous dogs who loved to play and chase the hares and pheasants then curl up in front of the wood burning stove. Perfect. Exactly what we needed.

  • Laigh of Cloichfoddich was one of our favourite holiday cottages so far. Richard has thought of everything. It’s something of a cliché to say somewhere is a ‘home away from home’ but the cottage was definitely that. We felt so relaxed and comfortable in the cottage. Chilling out ont he hot tub whilst it snowed was amazing. We will definitely be back and will bring another couple with us next time. Thanks again, Laura and Cameron

  • The cottage was wonderful! Everything we needed and very clean as well. Richard was a great host.

Beautiful setting and handy for lovely walks and cycles! Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and condiments. Would definitely recommend!! Thanks Richard!!

Bondhu, a listed traditional stone cottage in Aberfeldy, is ideally situated for you to enjoy the best of the countryside in Highland Perthshire and is within easy walking distance of the town's restaurants, shops and pubs. Cycling, white water rafting, hill walking, golf, castles, Highland Adventure Safaris and much more are right on the doorstep for your enjoyment.
Two well behaved dogs accepted on the proviso they do not climb on the furniture and do not go upstairs.
  • This cottage was perfect for us. Super clean and new, beautifully decorated and warm. Within walking distance of Aberfeldy's shops, pubs and restaurants. Perfectly located to explore nearby lochs and glens, amazing drives and scenery. Sue was a great host and very quick to respond. Highly recommended!

    Ali2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • A great find, this cottage was perfect for us and the extra little touches made it really standout from other places we have stayed in. Sue is a great host, who has clearly put a lot of thought and care into her cottage

    David2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Exceptional cottage, cosy, warm, well equipped and a real home away from home. Everything is top notch from the bed linen to the kitchen utensils! Great base for exploring the town of Aberfeldy and the surrounding areas. Perfect accomodation and holiday for couple and a small baby. Thank you!

  • A great home from home and Sue's property is very well equipped with everything you could possible need - and more! The lights were on to welcome us and the lemon drizzle that awaited was the best! Sue helped out with her local knowledge. A great cottage in the lovely town of Aberfeldy, highly recommended.

    Lorraine2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is lovely - spotlessly clean, spacious, homely and very well furnished and equipped. This is one of the nicest Air b'n'b accommodations we have stayed in. Comfy bed and good shower. Great wardrobe space. Back lobby was a bonus when we came back from walks with our wet dog! He could dry off in there before he came in to the main house. Lovely to be able to walk to shops and restaurants and to the beautiful Birks of Aberfeldy. The back garden is lovely but if you you have young children, it might be helpful to know that it's beyond the car parking area so not a garden that you could just open the door and let wee ones out to play. Sue is a fantastic host -very helpful. Thanks for a great stay.

    Catherine2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage, great lemon cake. Well equipped. Everything was there we could have wanted and needed. Great location. Lovely walks. Highly recommend the cottage.

    Samantha2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable cottage with a lovely back garden and great location - only 5 minutes walk from the shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit the area.

It's a great wee place for a single person to stay and enjoy the delights of Pitlochry, especially if you love the theatre, as both Deirdre and Greg are theatrical folk. The room is spacious and comfortable, breakfast is help yourself and simple, and you feel as if you're at home. They have two beautiful, friendly dogs who are very welcoming - I was sorry that I only stayed one night!

    Linda2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • A good stop in between Edinburgh and Inverness. Deirdre's place is lovely & quite - 15 mins walking from Pitlochry station. For those who carrying a medium/large luggage you may need extra effort as the road is a bit steep. Checked in was smooth, even they let me checked in early. I really had a wonderful stay at Deirdre's place - especially with 2 cute dogs. Thanks Deirdre & Greg! Definitely would come back.

    Stefani2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Everything in Pitlochry is near although I was bringing lots of stuff getting here which was quite challenging. The room was cozy and perfect. Sparkling clean and has a great touch. Felt I was just at home. To add, the bed was fabulous. Very comfy and had a good sleep.

  • We visited in the Autumn and the house couldn’t have been cosier - especially the log fire, sauna and hot tub. The property is well located on the banks of a pretty river and there is ample opportunity to sit and enjoy the view from the large garden. We also enjoyed a restful night in the extremely comfortable bed. John ensured that every little detail had been thought of and, as a result, we felt very at home. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

  • Great location just above the distillery!

    Gavin2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time in Aberfeldy. Pam's place was a great place to rest and chill after the wonderful birks. Her hospitality and smile make the place even homier.

    Isabelle2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice. Very quiet. Directly above the still. Kitchen well furnished with fridge, freezer and a washing machine. Everything had what you need. The heating works well and the water is hot too. We felt very comfortable and would have liked to stay longer.

    Katja2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay, we were very lucky with the weather too! The cottage is really nice and well equipped in a quiet farm location. It is a walking distance to the centre of Aberfeldy for shops, pubs etc. Also very close to the Dewars distillery which is worth a visit. We did a lot of walking and riding our bikes. For directions follow signs for the Mains of Murthly or Spirit of Wood past the Dewars distillery up the hill.

    Mark2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house with a beautiful view

    Gerrie2019-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Pam's cottage was warm and cosy. It was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay and offers great value for money. Pam and her husband were friendly, attentive hosts. The cottage is in a stunning hillside location up the hill right behind Dewars distillery which is well sign-posted. It is advised to arrive the first time in daylight as the house itself is off a lane and we took some time, and a quick call to Pam, to locate it in the dark. However the views in the morning more than made up for this. There is a Co-op supermarket at the petrol station close by as you go into Aberfeldy. Here you can get all the provisions you will need. It is open until 11 pm but Beware. Scottish legislation forbids the purchase of alcohol after 10 pm. There are several good restaurants around the town itself.

  • Our stay with Jane was lovely. Jane was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. The room was cosy, clean and had everything we needed. The shower products were especially nice and in the morning, Jane provided us with a yummy cooked breakfast. The view from the house was stunning and we would definitely stay with Jane again if we are visiting Pitlochry.

  • Jane was great, a warm, welcoming host - a great spot to stay with great views. A hot shower and comfortable bed after a long day in the wet outdoors! Jane even filled my flasks with tea for the day ahead.

  • Hello Jane. Shelley & I had the best stay at your place. The room & en-suite was lovely with superb views. We had a wonderful sleep in your warm comfortable beds in a super spectacular quiet location. It was so good that we slept in! The breakfast was also excellent situated at a table with sensational views of the mountains. It was like hotel service! You are a fantastic host, really lovely & personable. If you are coming to Australia , come & stay with me. I mean it! Loved your farm. We had a great walk to the top in the mist but didn’t find your highland cattle, but did see all the other breeds of Sheep you mentioned. It was a good work out climbing those hills.! Would love to come back & would highly recommend your farm stay & you to anyone wanting all of the above that I’ve mentioned. Big hugs. Susan & Shelley.
