  • Cute house and cute town. Place was very clean, had all the cooking utensils I needed, and checking in late at night was a breeze. The drive in on 38 along the Umpqua river was amazing.

Relax and revive in this artistic 'cabin' with wonderful views of historic Glenn Creek from every room. An architectural dream, you enter this lodge style home through a pivoting hobbit style front door with hardware from the 1800's.
Highlights of this original home include a gourmet kitchen with labradorite granite counters, 800 year old juniper tree spiral stair case, huge beams and exposed rafters, a sauna, and a romantic wood stove. Also each upstairs bedroom has a hanging bed with three 8 foot skylights above for indoor star gazing. Original artworks from local artists are throughout the home. Many pleasantries await the curious such as embedded fossils in the cracked mud walls. Nestled amongst towering fir and cedar trees, with windows everywhere, you'll feel and see nature's presence. This home site has a remarkably peaceful way about it. Check out more pictures at www.belowthefallslodge.com Recently featured in Southern Oregon Magazine and KCBY 11 TV's ~In Focus~ 'Goin' Green' and Oregon's Solar Home Tour, this is a unique 'green' home. This home was built with environmentally friendly materials. Building with little impact on the surroundings was very important to us during construction. The myrtle hardwood floor in the kitchen and living room was milled on site which came from trees that stood where the house is now. Same story for the beautiful maple flooring in the ½ bath. All of the large beams and fir flooring came from two 4' thick 104 year old douglas fir trees which also stood and were milled where the house is now. The fir trees sprouted after the last forest fire that came through the canyon. One of our neighbors fell a sixty five year old redwood that was over six feet thick! We used some of it as a wonderful wainscot paneling throughout the house. All of the finishes used are no or low VOC. Surrounding the house is native vegetation, huge trees and a few herbs and spices for cooking. You'll enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with labradorite granite counters. The kitchen island has a new five burner gas stove with a convection oven and warming oven. The island has plenty of granite and wood counter space. Hanging from the exhaust hood are stainless, non-stick, and cast iron cookware. Also included are coffee and a grinder, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, utensils, chef knives, glasses and frosty cocktail glasses in the freezer. The dining room table has a river view and can seat eight. There is also seating for three at the island bar. From the kitchen you can visit with the folks in the living room thanks to the open floor plan. Beside the wood stove are two chairs and the futon couch with reading lamp. A CD changer and TV with a DVD player and VHS machine are in the downstairs bedroom. Bring your favorite videos or browse our selection of movies. The property has 150 feet of creek frontage with great views of Glenn creek, the forest and distant cliffs. Enjoy wildlife viewing with River Dippers, Chipmunks, Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, Screech Owls, Pileated Wood Peckers, Elk, an occasional Bald Eagle or River Otter and other wildlife from the house and back deck. Build a fire and have lunch on the nearby picnic table and benches.
The narrow canyon valley below Golden and Silver Falls is wonderful. I grew up here moved away, and came back for the natural beauty and solitude of the Oregon rain forest. This area has been a favorite of mine since I was a youngster. In 2005 when the bare land became available I jumped on it and started a three year art project which became Below the Falls Lodge.
  • The place was more gorgeous then I expected and I loved my stay! Next time I will be back for longer to enjoy more of the house and the property and the surrounding area. Coos Bay is amazing and Cape Arago and Shoreline park are breathtaking. Highly recommend this house!

  • This place is a dream stay! Shane recommended a hike just up the house to see some waterfalls and they were so breathtaking and amazing! The house itself is so cozy and looks like it’s straight off my Pinterest board. We will definitely come back to visit! It was nice to disconnect from devices for a while and my husband said he got the best night sleep he’s had in months on the bed we slept on. Highly highly highly recommend this place

  • I sincerely appreciate Williams concern for my privacy and making me feel comfortable in his home. I am a medical travelor, my contracts are 13 weeks long and I truly felt at home. He made sure to communicate his availability should I need anything. Elkton is a charming town worth visiting and staying awhile. I will definitely return for Wine tasting and shopping!

    M2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay at Williams' place in Elkton. It is reflective of the pictures, clean, well maintained and super comfortable. It is steps from a couple cafes and restaurants and close to the river. I would recommend Williams' house to anyone looking to stay in Elkton.

Turn off the tech! Turntable w/vinyl collection is as advanced as it gets. Listen to birds, neighboring cows and distant tractors. Breathe in the fresh air. Take in views of the vineyard, mountains and sunsets. Enjoy fine wine at the rustic fire pit.
Private room sleeps two, private bathroom with shower, kitchenette, turntable and classic vinyl collection. Outdoor fire pit, and wine available for purchase. Drive, bike or walk to neighboring wineries, restaurants and the beautiful Umpqua River. Yurts are growing in popularity, especially in Oregon, and offer a unique 'Glamping' experience. Play board games, assemble puzzles and listen to our extensive classic vinyl collection on the turntable. The sofa pulls out to sleep up to an additional two guests. Air mattresses available upon request for larger parties.
You get a beautiful view of the Coastal Mountains and vineyards smattering the hillsides. Sunsets here are gorgeous!
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our night in the yurt. Sitting outside with a beverage in the evening and then waking up to the fog over the vines was incredible! There are plenty of space heaters and blankets to keep you warm on chilly days and has everything that you’d need in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The town of Elkton is super tiny, but has a couple of good restaurants and has the friendliest people! Tyler was great with communication and super easy going - when we’re back in Oregon, we’ll definitely return and this time stay more than one night.

    Lauren2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place for a short weekend getaway. The yurt was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Just about anything we could have wanted in terms of small, thoughtful accommodations was available. Even in the tail end of winter, it was a beautiful location. My husband and I were worried about being cold, but we found plenty of space heaters set up to keep us from freezing. Tyler was super accommodating about our booking dates - when our original plans fell through because of sick kids, he very kindly let us change our booking around. Definitely look forward to coming back again!

    Holly2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in this middle of nowhere place because we were curious about yurt living. It’s a cool space with vintage furniture, no signal and a record player. We were lulled to sleep by rain and the comfortable bed gave us a restful night. In town there a surprisingly good restaurant that serves clean local food and is stocked with some organic groceries. We weren’t able to do any wine tasting but I’m sure that would’ve been fun too

    Malgorzata2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous and peaceful And clean! Wish we could have stayed longer

    Eleonor And Cheyenne2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed an amazing yurt experience disconnected from internet, tv, and everyday busy life. We loved watching beautiful stars at night. There is a small but very nice wine tasting area serving a variety of great red and white wines. We loved their 2017 Baco Noir and 2014 Pinot Noir. We look forward to coming back when it gets warmer. Thank you Tyler!

    Yasushi2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • The wine is amazing and so are the views! This place is great!

    Ian2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time! We got there before the tasting room closed and got to try their wonderful wines. The yurt was extremely cozy and comfortable. Highly recommended!

    Marina2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an amazing little getaway! It was so nice to unplug from our phones and spend some quality time with each other and the pup! Our tasting was amazing with so many beautiful wines. Watching the sun set over the vineyard with a glass of wine in hand and Elton John in the background was so romantic and surreal. Kira loved running around while we sipped wine all evening. We built a fire and had a perfect view of the stars above. We will definitely be returning!

This cabin is cozy and comfortable. it is located a short distance from Plat I reservoir. The reservoir is a buzz during the spring and summer months with nesting birds and wildlife. The cabin sits well off the main road so this lends itself to the quiet that is enjoyed here. Pets are welcome but must not be left unattended.
I have lived in this house since November of 2018. I had needed to downsize to retire. I found this place sort of by accident. It wasn't posted or listed. A friend at work had heard that I was looking for a small place. By word of mouth I was directed to the previous owner. The place needed a lot of work but it was just what I needed!
  • Patricia’s place is exactly as described - a cozy country cabin. The surroundings are beautiful and the area is quiet and peaceful. The most noticeable sounds are the chirping of the birds at her feeders. The space, although indeed cozy, is actually quite large and very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay immensely and would recommend Patricia’s place to anyone passing through the Sutherlin area.

    Don2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia’s cabin was lovely and so cozy for two weary travelers passing through. Her place was full of thoughtful touches. The bed was heaven! She explained everything to us when we arrived and was very welcoming. She had preheated the cabin since it was a rainy day, which was so incredibly thoughtful. Thank you Patricia, we were so grateful for your hospitality! Highly suggest to any one.

    Kristin2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet

    Vonetta2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • The property was amazing! The host was super nice and helpful. She even left some fruit and snacks for us. We had forgotten a cooking pan and she was flexible with allowing us to use one of her own.. over all it was a nice quiet weekend, would stay again.

    Cece2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This space is a converted wood working shed in the back of a cute little ranch. Simple and comfortable. Patricia is a great hostess, very friendly. She has everything you might need, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, TV with Netflix and a very comfy bed. She provides refreshments in a refrigerator on the porch and snacks in the kitchen area. Internet and phone service are a bit sketchy. Very quiet and clean. I would definitely stay again.

    Christine2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Trisha’s place is very clean and cozy. Her snacks and amenities are a nice touch.

The thing in addition to this rental is the private terrace of the room overlooking the Indian Ocean and the sound of the waves that we hear in the evening in bed. **PLEASE REFRAIN FROM TRAVELING IF YOU ARE SICK!** During this COVID-19 pandemic, we are taking every possible precaution to keep ourselves, our animals, and our guests safe. We will be be saying hi from a distance. We are disinfecting every surface after every guest checks out, wash all laundry on sanitizing settings, and wash our hands consistently. Please rest assured that it is very safe to visit the farm and we value your bookings during these unpredictable times.
Looking for a break from reality with idyllic views and silly critters? An off-the-beaten-path adventure? Look no further than Happy Compromise Farm! Our 20-acre property is serene and private with a spacious yurt in its own field. Your closest neighbors are two alpaca (Hazelnut and Roy) and two goats (Big Tony and Herbie), who will most likely be welcoming and curious. You can check out more of what we do on Instagram @happycompromisefarm. We are a beginning yet working flower/berry farm and animal sanctuary. You'll see and hear us around the farm throughout the day, along with all of our chickens, roosters (all seven of them!), ducks, geese, alpaca, goats, peafowl, and dogs. We're happy to show you around or answer any questions - especially if it's about animals or farming! Currently our yurt experience is akin to glamping. It's lovely and private, and the bathroom is an outhouse a short walk away (or you're welcome to use the woods behind the yurt or field in front of it if you're feeling outdoorsy). There's a small kitchen area for preparing things like salads as well as basic kitchen implements (cutlery, cutting board, etc.), a very small mini fridge, and a toaster oven, along with handmade bowls and cups from Lumerine Ceramics (@lumerineceramics). You can also cook on top of the wood stove (we provide one cast iron pot for you to use). We ask that guests only prepare vegetarian food while on our property. Locally roasted coffee - both decaf and regular - is available inside the yurt along with a French press, electric kettle, and filtered water from our gravity-fed spring. We have an elevated wash basin with cold water access for washing your face, brushing your teeth, etc. (no real shower yet). There’s an electric heater to keep the yurt warm as well as a gorgeous, recently remodeled wood stove and extra blankets for making it as toasty as you like, even in the middle of winter. We provide some wood and have more for sale if you need it. We aim to be a zero-waste farm and the yurt is 100% zero waste. The night sky is absolutely incredible here on clear nights - make sure to check it out through the yurt’s telescope! **Currently we have three add-on options available for guests: breakfast/snacks, use of our outdoor sauna, and a farm tour (tours are currently on hold).** - We offer a small array of breakfast and snack options. Please see the menu in the yurt or in our photos for more details. Oliver is a professionally trained chef and we make all of our own food from scratch. - We are also offering our outdoor cedar steam sauna for use. We provide towels, wood, and super soft and luxurious robes. You are welcome to use the sauna more than once during your stay. It's $15 for the first use and if you're using the same towels, etc. then we just ask that you purchase more wood from us for subsequent uses. - (TOURS ARE CURRENTLY ON HOLD.) Interested in learning more about the farm? Book a farm tour! You'll meet the animals up close (alpaca selfies!), we'll talk about why regenerative agriculture is so important, and why our current food systems aren't working. Tours are just over one hour and are discounted to $25/group for yurt guests (normally $25/person). You can book a tour on AirBnB by searching "Selfies With Alpacas on Vegan Farm" or just let us know in your booking message. Please give us advanced notice if you are interested in any of these amenities as they take time to prepare and we want to make sure they’re ready for you. Think of us as a gorgeous retreat for the slightly adventurous. It's the perfect place for getting back to nature, R&R, connecting with loved ones, celebrating a birthday/anniversary/graduation, or writing that book you've been meaning to finish! Guests often tell us that they can't remember the last time they slept so well after they've stayed in the yurt with the super-comfy bed and no light or sound pollution (except all of the animal noises!), and that they can’t wait to come back.
The farm is a place to get away from it all. We’ve got breathtaking views and gorgeous drives - and not much in the way of city perks. The town of Drain is 25 minutes away and has the essentials (and a Victorian castle!). Cottage Grove is about 40 mins away and has a charming Main Street with shops, cafes, and restaurants. Eugene is one hour away and has everything you could possibly need. We’re also an hour and a half from the stunning Oregon coast and two and a half hours from bustling Portland. We're in the land of historical covered bridges, so make sure to swing by a few while you're in the area!
  • What a nice get away, really enjoyed our stay

  • We had an amazing time at Eryn & Oliver's place. The yurt was gorgeous and offered us a perfect chance to relax. We took the opportunity and enjoyed their sauna as well as the tour around the farm. Eryn & Oliver have achieved so much during the last 7 months and we couldn't have asked for better hosts. We definitely want to come back soon.

  • Lovely experience. Nice place to disconnect. Eryn & Oliver were very easy to communicate with. Although we were away from the farm most of the day, we enjoyed the sauna, vegan snacks and being around the animals. Would recommend!

  • The Yurt is absolutely lovely, with details that will make your stay feel all the more special (wood burning fireplace, herbal teas from a local tea shop, homemade soaps and more). The bed is very comfortable and with the quiet and dark you are sure to get a great nights sleep. Eryn and Oliver are great hosts, and with Eryns detailed check in instructions it was also super easy to find even as I drove up in the dark. I highly recommend this place to anyone even considering it!

    Kristine2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place to unwind and unplug! Eryn and Oliver are thoughtful hosts who have a dreamy yurt!

You will love this beautiful little cabin. Glenn Creek Cabin is set in a beautiful coastal forest. The house itself is one bedroom with a loft. The back side of the cabin is all windows and looks out onto Glenn Creek. There is a king size bed in the loft and a queen size bed in the downstairs bedroom. Everything in the cabin has been recently remodeled. The kitchen has granite countertops, new cabinetry, stainless steel dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, etc...All the conveniences of home in this nice, quite setting.
Glenn Creek Cabin is approxiamately 21 miles inland from Coos Bay. The cabin is 3 miles from Golden and Silver Falls. It's great for hiking and biking. Along with this, the Pacific Coastline is only 40 minutes away, it makes for a great day trip.
  • The cabin is beautiful, updated, and comfortable. Gas fireplace wasn't working, it would have been nice to know that prior to booking. The cabin is in the middle of the woods, the quiet and beauty is wonderful. Unfortunately, the cabin is also surrounded by dilapidated homes and buildings. But when you're down by the river, its beautiful and peaceful.

  • You won’t understand how wonderful this place is until you visit it! It’s super clean and cozy. Perfect little hideaway to get away from it all. We experienced no issues whatsoever. Just wish we could’ve stayed longer!

    Danielle2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is so amazing. The drive up there is incredibly beautiful and the cabin itself has an amazing view, photos really don’t do it justice!! The cabin itself was very clean, it had a fully stocked kitchen of utensils, pots, pans, plates, silverware, etc. which we really appreciated as we cooked a lot of our meals in. Also, we had a question our first night and the host was super quick to respond. They also gave us great local tips and detailed instructions on how to get to the cabin. I would love to stay here again- overall an amazing experience.

    Chelsea2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place was excellent. The location was exiled and perfect. There are waterfalls about 5 miles away which are some of the best waterfalls lives in the Pacific Northwest.

    Arturo2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin was really nice and quiet with a beautiful view of the river. It was a really relaxing trip and the space is the perfect size for one person or even a small group of people. Would recommend!

    Darbi2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fantastic! So cute and cozy. The drive up was great. I had everything I needed in the cabin, and everything was as great as I expected!

  • The cabin was an amazing experience! Such a beautiful setting and home. Would definitely stay again

    Jokubas2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! Super private and quiet. The cabin was sparkling clean and well equipped. Sitting by the fire at night right on the river was definitely the highlight. This place is definitely way in the middle of nowhere but that's exactly what I was looking for. It's not too hard to find, just use Geraldine's directions instead of Google maps as it will take you the wrong way.

  • Amazing hospitality 😊

    Adriana2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • It's five stars because it is clean and the place is exactly as it is described in the listing. There is no cellular connection or wifi or tv, the house is five miles outside of the small town of Elkton and the space is a studio (no separate space for the bedroom) with a private entrance and kitchenette. All of this is described in the listing. But regarding the cellular connection, I took a walk on the road in the morning and I got cell connection within less than a quarter mile from the house. Regarding the five miles outside of Elkton, it's a good road (the road is not overly curvy or hilly or rough) and the driveway is easy to find. We arrived in the daytime and that helped but it should also be easily navigated at after dark. This was a good place for us to stay overnight on our travel from Astoria to Redding.

    Michelle2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We we're met by our host. Very charming Keren and Kester have a lovely studio. No phone or wifi and was not missed. Elkton is limited on places to dine, Keren suggested available eateries. Very comfortable

  • Very kind, hospitable hosts and WOW- what a nice place, especially for the price! Safe location, comfy, warm, convenient! The hosts go above and beyond to make you feel welcome; a wide assortment of coffee’s/tea’s, snacks, a fire place, lovely porch and a sleep number adjustable mattress! This place has everything you could possibly want or need during a short stay. The hosts even went so far as to make me my own personalized list of restaurants in the area due to my dietary restrictions. 'The Tuckaway' is in a private location surrounded by 5 acres, some of which is occupied by miniature donkeys. Come and enjoy our 'low tech' set up (no wifi, but AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon cell phone coverage), minutes from the scenic Umpqua River. Elkton is close by with restaurants, award winning wineries and Fort Umpqua. Explore the stunning Oregon coast and the Dunes, only 45 minutes drive away.
'The Tuckaway' is essentially an open plan arrangement with a privacy screen for the main bed area. An outside patio space is also provided with barbecue, table and chairs.
A scenic and quiet location surrounded by farmland, but close to amenities.
  • The Tuckaway is a great place for family. Beautiful scenery, peaceful, and quiet. Love all of the fresh air and beautiful area. Karin and Kester are amazing hosts. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. Loved it!

    Todd2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Kester and Karin are exceptional hosts. We felt welcomed from the moment we set foot into their place. We had great conversations. We were a group of 6 and we felt like we were staying home. They made sure we had everything we need.

    Bilal2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Kester’s place is a great place to bring many people for a good price. There were many comfortable beds, the space was clean and the bathroom was very nice. We so appreciated the tea, coffee, and water left for us to use. Although we didn’t cook, it would be a great place to cook and eat at. Check in and out was clear and easy and the area was beautiful.

    Jackson2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great getaway from the city life into a farm land! We came as a family of 6 with different generations from child to parents to grandparents to great grandparents for a 2 day hang out trip to include the dunes. Location is quite a distance from the dunes/Honeyman camp (~1hr 10 mins drive) and accommodation is deep into Elkton about 10 mins drive from city itself. The space is good size and fit us all, also roll away bed available if needed. Place was clean with fresh towels and sheets. Little kitchenette with essential utensils, a portable 2 pc burner/hotplate, grill and sitting space outside. Water from well does smell of sulfur and might shock some, Karen was nice to provide bottled water for us. We also noticed if water is boiled, smell/taste goes away. Super clean oxygen satiated air with flat fields great for activities/play. The donkeys were a huge highlight, we got to meet and feed them a couple times, very sweet family of 3! Very hospitable hosts! Amazing family hang out that brought us all together! Would highly recommend!

    M2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • I went with my husband, two grown girls, and two grand daughters. How fun to have two cute beds for them! The accommodations were wonderful, roomy, clean, and we had all we needed for a lovely, peaceful stay. Our hosts were so warm and welcoming, and gladly visited with us, sharing their adorable and beautiful donkeys with my 5 & 3 year old grand daughters, who were delighted with them. The neighbor had a horse, mule, and goats, which were all fun to visit and watch, too. The trees are beautiful and the drive to Tuckaway Rd is glorious accented by river views. Kester and his wife were gracious and I would highly recommend their sweet place to anyone looking for an easy, quiet, peaceful and comfortable stay in the woods!

  • The Tuckaway is a hidden gem in a peaceful setting. My family stayed for one night on the way up the coast. My kids loved feeding the miniature donkeys in the morning and my wife enjoyed coffee on our private patio. There are some wonderful wineries and a delicious breakfast spot in town too. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend!

We have a u-pick flower farm that is open July-September, and just up the road you can find u-pick fruits and veggies. An easy 10 minute drive to downtown Roseburg, where you can find shopping and fun spots to dine.
  • Great little place to relax and create. I would definitely recommend this lovely space and definitely return. Anna made us feel comfortable and at home. The view is breathtaking and so peaceful. Just lovely all around!

    Ginger2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place. THE PICTURES DO IT NO JUSTICE. Stayed during the winter so not much of a flower farm for us, but an amazing get away 50 steps from the river. Dark Sky's, amazing sounds and amazing views! Our original plan was to visit Crater lake and the Oregon coast while we took advantage of this amazing spot but found ourselves not wanting to leave, so we hit Walmart and spent 2 days secluded from the world. Can't forget to mention the good morning visits from the Anna's dog Bella! Beautiful and friendly! Can't wait to visit again!

    Mathew2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Anna's retreat is amazing. The view is gorgeous. Family is very respectful of your peace but very accommodating as well. Bella is an added bonus coming to say good morning😊 I would love to visit in the warmer months to see the property in full bloom!

  • Such a wonderful place! great place to be away from the city, the noise, traffic and no technology interruptions. the Family had so much fun at the River kayaking. and just relaxing by it. wonderful place! and we also had wonderful company by Bella! (dog)

  • Beautiful place! Will definitely stay again next time I come to Roseburg.

    Ryan2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Anna’s guest house was absolutely lovely. I stayed there for a month and enjoyed waking up to beautiful sunrises, walking around the farm, and watching sunsets over the river in the evening. This is a fully equipped guest house with lots of privacy and I would recommend it to anyone. The kitchen was large enough to prepare meals, the bathroom had a shower and tub, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Overall, I was sad to leave and wish I could stay another month it was so great!

    Everett2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • One of my all time favorite stays! We had no reason to do anything other than hang out at Anna's place enjoying life on her flower farm on the river.

    Teresa2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • What a retreat! My family loved our stay at the farm. Our kids had so much fun watching the goats and chickens and playing fetch with Bella, the dog. We enjoyed taking the kayaks out in the morning to explore up river. The house was super cozy and adorable. Thank you!

Elliott Forest Cabin is a secluded retreat featuring 500 feet of creek frontage, a tree house, two fire pits, and a large kitchen. The weather up river tends to be about five degrees warmer than Coos Bay and we get more sunny days. Dip your toes (or fishing line) in the creek. Grill your catch on our expansive deck. For a romantic twist, dine in the treehouse. Bring marshmallows and stargaze around the campfire. Or play board games and watch the raindrops fall. More info at elliottcabin.com
The cabin comfortably sleeps four and is stocked with luxe sheets, gourmet coffee, a cozy sectional sleeper, and Turkish cotton bath towels.
Tucked in the historic logging community of Allegany, our cabin was built in 1993 on part of W. R .R. Glenn’s 180-acre homestead. Glenn was a Civil War veteran and the first settler in the area. He arrived sometime before 1875. In the 1930s, this area along Glenn Creek was a large logging camp. By the 1950s, the loggers had moved deep into the forested mountains to the east and west. Just down the road there are huge, hiker-friendly waterfalls at Golden and Silver Falls State Park. And the nearby Elliott State Forest is open year-round to those who wish to cruise its backroads.

  • O’Fay house is so spacious and well laid out. The property was serene and the rooms are spotless. The decor and hosts make it far and away the best value of any of the numerous AirBnBs I have visited. I want to come back in summer and use the pool!

  • What a cool property! I was in town on business but Ernie's would be fun for couples or families as well. There is a ton of movies to watch! (I spent more time looking through all of them than watching them.) Ernie met me when I arrived and he is very personable and a great host. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back in the future!

The Cabin also features a mini-fridge and Keurig Cofee maker, with real 1/2 & 1/2 and Sugar in the Raw, 2 nightstands, each with a small lamp with a USB charger. There is also a TV with DVD player, with over 200 movies to choose from. There is no bathroom in the cabin, however, Cabin guests have access to a shared private (keyed) bathroom.
This Cabin is nestled in the trees of the Sawyers Rapids RV Park, right on the Umpqua River.
  • Best vacation spot ever!😁

  • These are great little cabins for the outdoor enthusiasts! Proximity to the river and fishing is great! Our hosts took good care of us and we were cozy and dry over a very wet weekend. They cabins have hot coffee, an electric fire place heater and dvds to watch. Everything was clean and comfortable. We usually camp, so this was a major rainy weekend upgrade for us! Thanks much, we hope to be back soon!

  • Beautiful location, cozy cabin, great hosts. 10/10 stay

    Tyler2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the view and sound of the river from this cabin! The cabin was comfortable and also rustic, a perfect accommodation for November weather when camping would have been too cold. Cliff included some extras that we really appreciated, including a bundle of wood that we really enjoyed. The location here is great as well — right on the Umpqua, ten minutes to award winning wineries, and thirty minutes to the coast. Highly recommended!

We are a small hobby farm out in beautiful wine country just 15 minutes west of Interstate 5. This is a quiet retreat a mile up a dirt road. We currently have a miniature donkey (Minnie), two pygmy goats (Mr. Tumnus & Kid Sensation), a fun-loving pot belly pig named Kevin, a heritage turkey (Phil), a mini red heeler (Finn), a funny looking pug mix (Gladys), and a cat named Monsieur Nibbles IV. Guests are invited to feed and interact with them when we are present.
What you are renting is the guest quarters which are attached to the house. You will have your own private entrance and can come and go as you please. The guest quarters are recently remodeled and have a full kitchen, laundry, bathroom with a brand new shower, a work desk and a covered outdoor patio. There is only one bed (queen size) but we have a small but reasonably comfortable floor mat for a 3rd guest.
Our place is located right in the heart of wine country and is just a few minutes drive from the Callahan mountains, less than a 2 hour drive to the Oregon Coast or less than an hour drive to the famous hiking trails of the North Umpqua and about a 2.5 hour drive to the world famous Crater Lake. There is a country store just 2 miles from us that has a hot deli, freshly made sandwiches to order, and even sells fresh made Indian dishes to reheat at home. If you want to dine out, Roseburg is just a short 10 minute drive and has many great dining experiences to choose from.
  • Location was lovely. We saw deers as we arrived and as we left little squirrels. House was fantastic! Decorated so cute. Craig and Corinne were super nice. We loved interacting with the animal. Great stay. Will return if ever in the area💗

    Crystal2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Would recommend to anyone who loves cute animals, a beautiful cottage, and scenic setting, this is the place!

    Alon2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was easily the best stay we’ve had on Airbnb since we started using the service 5 years ago. The guest house was spotless and beautiful with a really lovely patio. Everything is so thoughtful from a stocked kitchen to mini golf and lighted patio. The animals were so cute and friendly! Everything was amazing, thank you so much to you guys and your sweet animals!

    Alon2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Craig's place was amazing, one of our best stays ever! The location was perfect—just a short drive outside Roseburg, but rural enough to be extremely peaceful and help us feel like we escaped for a weekend. Check-in was a breeze, and there was a wonderful selection of cereal, coffee, juices, and snacks for breakfast. Craig introduced us to his lovely animals, including a mini donkey, goats, a pig, a turkey, and two dogs. We look forward to staying again sometime!

    Alex2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was immaculate! Beautifully designed, sparkling clean and nice little touches like snacks & spare toothbrushes we’re greatly appreciated. Craig was a super host - responding to messages promptly, arranging for us to feed the animals (such a nice experience!) and recommending local places to eat in town. I highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay there again.

    Aimee2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely stunning and beautiful! Come enjoy the farm animals and a quaint little place. Very very clean and great hospitality! Definitely recommend!

    Heather2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • I would not change anything, besides possibly regular sugar for coffee! Everything was nice and neat and clean smelling. Loved the attention detail as far as decor goes! Loved the umbrella at the entrance of the entry way and then a place to put it near the entrance if the door! Absolutely loved the farm animals and now I want a turkey named Phil!

    Heather2020-01-05T00:00:00Z

Nestled in the forested canyons of historic Glenn Creek and East Fork of the Millicoma river, you'll enjoy its beauty, while exploring Golden & Silver Falls, hidden gems in the dense emerald forests of southwestern Oregon. Completely remodeled, this cozy little cabin is three miles from the falls, and 21 miles east of Coos Bay. A perfect retreat for a couple who enjoy an evening under the stars with a fire in our fire pit below the cabin, or the gas fireplace on cold winter nights.
Built in the early 60's as a fishing retreat, this little cabin is 50' from the East Fork of the Millicoma river. With a bright open fully-equipped kitchen, WiFi access, satellite TV, laundry, fire pit and a gas fireplace, it makes winter or summer a perfect time to visit. The bedroom has a queen bed and new mattress, and all the blankets and comforters needed for a snug and restful sleep. Enjoy all the seasons, while watching river birds, wild turkeys, otters, salmon, chipmunks, quail, deer and the occasional elk, who venture down to enjoy the river. Watch for Red Tailed Hawks, and a magnificent American Bald Eagle who surveys the river frequently most mornings. You may even see a bear or two enjoying the apples in our orchard. Chinook salmon spawn in front of the cabin from November to January and steelhead fishing starts mid-December and runs through March. Trout season runs from May 26th through October 31st. During the months of July through late September, fill your basket with fresh blackberries or spend time picking apples in our orchard.
Located on the East Fork of the Millicoma River, and surrounded by the 92,000 acre Elliott State Forest and the 210,000 acre Weyerhaeuser Millicoma Tree Farm as neighbors, you'll enjoy the beauty of the Glenn Creek forest canyon. Not isolated nor secluded but private on the river side, the Little Cabin sits 50' from the river. There is no swimming available at the cabin (due to it's natural spawning grounds), but further upstream near Golden & Silver Falls there are several natural swimming holds.
  • Highly recommended!! This place is the cutest little cabin and is perfectly stocked.

    FireBug Tools2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little cabin that lives larger than expected! Lovely river location, well away from the beaten bath was just what I was looking for. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

    Theresa2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • The through communication and attention to every detail at this adorable, clean, well-run cabin frees you to focus on the beauty of the nearby waterfalls that are easily accessible from close parking and short, beginner hikes to the waterfall bases. The waterfalls are breathtaking! Directions to the cabin from Dee are perfect, and the guidebook in the counter serves as a up to date ready reference. Highly recommend this cabin, except when I need it to be vacant to visit again! Cheers!

    Jeremy2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Dee and Jim’s cabin is lovely! Every possible amenity you might need is there.; even a full sized, front loading washer & dryer, which we used. We hiked the 3 falls which was easily accessible and was about 3 miles further down the road. I would highly Recommend staying in their cabin it was fantastic!

  • Charming, comfortable, quiet, well equipped kitchen for easy prep and enjoyable sun room for meals and games with a great set of window looking onto the creek. Easy close hikes and the road outback is a nice evening stroll. We were very impressed and would highly recommend this little cabin for a quiet escape.

Embrace on a great time with our teepee on a beautiful pond with island. Come make a fire and enjoy the night sky and stars. Two person kayaking, and other activities available. This is a great and unique lodging experience and we look forward to your stay ! Our teepee is equipped with cowboy coffee maker, double bed and a very comfortable single cot , rustic chairs, and a cooler. Bathroom facilities with shower close. Caution... the bullfrogs have a tendency to sing at night.
  • This was such a special space. It was bigger than expected and overall a truly amazing teepee experience. Even with the rain, it was easy to cover the smoke flap and stay warm/dry. Curl up next to the fire, stargaze if the sky is clear, and enjoy the quaint little pond on the property. Will try to book again next year!

    Elise2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at this Tipi for our Anniversary and it was very nice. Kayaking on the lake was so peaceful as the sun set. The little Tavern down the street was a nice quaint place for dinner and the Fire inside the Tipi was a nice touch. All in all a lovely stay, thank you!

    Nichole2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Eyanna was a wonderful hostess and made sure that we had what we needed. The tipi was extra cozy and very well decorated. After camping at our own spot in the rain for two days, we felt much dryer and warmer in the tipi. The fire helped to keep the air warm in the tipi as well. The bathroom was a short walk away and had everything anyone would need! Would have loved to have used the kayak if we had more time. Overall a great, relaxing experience and would love to visit again! It’s located only a mile or so off the freeway which made it easy to get to as well close to the cute downtown of Oakland.

In the heart of Oakland historic district. Oakland is a lovely little town with only historic homes and buildings. No fast food, no Walmart etc. Just a historic old town where you feel you stepped back in time. Everyone is very friendly and there are always things to do. Sutherlin and Roseburg are very close and have all the big stores. Oakland only has the basics and is very clean and cozy.
  • Ryan's little cottage is wonderful :-) We enjoyed the little farm so much. The little pigs are so sweet and Ryan's puppy Maisy is the sweetest under the sun! she came over everyday and greeted us and spent time with us we just loved her. The cottage is wonderful, we brought our BBQ (small travel one) and BBQ every night. Wonderful deck to sit on and enjoy the serenity of the area. Definitely will be back if in the area

This charming 2bd cabin has a rustic log interior and is set back 150 yards from the Umpqua River. Surrounded by towering tree lined hills, and always a good 10 degrees warmer than the coast, this is the perfect spot to swim, fish, and relax. A large dock provides easy access to the river in the summer months.
Just 18 miles up Oregon Scenic Highway 38 from Reedsport, is the historic town of Scottsburg. One of Oregons oldest communities; there is not much here now except for a number of homes along the banks of the Umpqua River. The temperature is often a good ten degrees warmer than the coast, and with the towering cliffs of pine trees, and the river flowing peacefully by, you will realise this is a very special place. This charming cabin has a rustic log interior. The cabin has a full kitchen with all the modern amenities, a full bathroom. There are two bedrooms - the master with queen bed, a twin bed, and storage. The walls have a gap (see pictures) up the top so light and noise does transfer from room to room. Most folks never notice it. The second room is smaller with another queen bed. We have new WIFI service which works great now. Also we have added a beautiful deck on the front of the cabin to enjoy your meals while looking out over the garden. The cottage is set about 150 feet from the River on over an acre of property. The cabin shares the property with a main house that is not rented out or used when the cabin is rented. Please note you are not able to see the river completely from the cabin, as the lot has clusters of trees that provide shade. This is a perfect place to have a private getaway or bring the kids for swimming and fishing in the river during the day and campfires in the evening. There is often a complete fire ban in the county in peak summer season - that means no campfires, fireworks, or charcoal grills). We do provide a gas grill in order to BBQ. The river is tidal, and this is the last stretch of the Umpqua you can get a motor boat to. Beyond the bridge it is too rocky, and shallow. There is a dock, and the boat ramp just two miles away uptream. We can provide referrals to a number of excellent local fishing guides if you would like to try your hand. Our dock is in the river during summer months only (generally Memorial Day to early September). Its the perfect place to sit, and soak up the sun, or jump off into the river to cool down. Bring some inflatables and tie up, or bring your kayaks and explore the river and enjoy the wildlife. Scottsburg is less than twenty minutes to the west of Elkton, where you can go wine tasting, visit the Butterfly Pavilion and Education Center, or tour Fort Umpqua - a replica of the Hudson Bay Trading Company fur trading outpost. Scottsburg is 20 minutes east from Reedsport. Activities in Reedsport and Winchester Bay include; Dean’s Creek Elk Viewing, Umpqua Discovery Center, Umpqua Lighthouse State Park, ocean fishing, crabbing, sand dunes, and much more!! There is a small general store in Scottsburg just a short drive away, or the nearest shops are in Reedsport. Regarding cellphone service AT&T does not work here. Verizon, and Sprint seem to. We love it because we leave our phones off, and our troubles goodbye. There is room to park your small RV, boat trailer etc. No cable TV but we have a good selection of videos, books, or family games. Please note that no pets are allowed at this time. If you have any further questions about the area, or property please do not hesitate to email or call. *************************************************************** Area Fishing Guide The Umpqua has one of the most varied river fisheries in Oregon, including a world-class smallmouth bass fishery and strong runs of spring and fall chinook. The Umpqua’s north and south forks come together northwest of Roseburg, and the mainstem flows more than 100 miles northwest to Winchester Bay. Smallmouth bass fishing begins at the top of tidewater and continues up to the forks and into the South Umpqua. Late winter and early spring offer trophy fishing for the Umpqua’s largest bass, while the warm summers bring fishing so fast and furious that an angler could tally 200 fish in a very busy day. Spring chinook are fished from late March into July, with best catches usually in April and May. Fall chinook start moving up in August and September, although the bigger fishery for them is in Winchester Bay (see below). Hatchery coho are planted in the South Fork and move through the mainstem quickly after the first fall rains. Both winter and summer steelhead fishing can be good, with summer fish peaking in June and July on their way to the North Umpqua. The larger winter run sometimes includes a fishery for wild steelhead, and hatchery fish on their way to the South Umpqua are present in good numbers. There is usually good steelhead fishing from December into March. The Umpqua also has a good run of shad that arrives in May and June. Shad are fished from Scottsburg upstream, including popular spots at Sawyer Rapids, Yellow Creek and the forks. More: Umpqua River Smallmouth Bass Fishing (Spring Tactics) Umpqua River Smallmouth Bass Fishing (Summer Tips) Umpqua River, North Fork Treasured for its good runs of wild and hatchery summer steelhead, the gorgeous North Umpqua is also fished for wild winter steelhead, spring chinook and fin-clipped coho, and it offers fine trout fishing above Soda Springs Reservoir. A mix of hatchery and wild summer steelhead enters the North Umpqua in June, with catches high in July and August and again in October and November after the water cools. The river’s winter run gets going well in January but these days is primarily wild fish. Spring chinook are present from April through October, with peak catches in May through July. Trout fishing is best above Soda Springs Reservoir for both rainbows and browns. There is a popular fly fishing-only stretch in the 31 miles of river below the reservoir’s dam. Winchester Bay The Umpqua River’s bay at Reedsport and Gardiner is a great producer of fall chinook salmon, and it also has good numbers of fin-clipped coho salmon, sturgeon, striped bass, perch, crabs and softshell clams. Fall chinook fishing is very popular, providing catches from July through September. Hatchery coho – along with lots of wild fish – are caught in good numbers in late summer and early fall. Fishing for white sturgeon is good in winter into spring. Striped bass move between Winchester Bay and the lower Smith River, with some good bay fishing from June to October. Perch and rockfish are caught in numerous locations from boats, jetties and docks. Crabbing is popular from boats and a pier in Half Moon Bay. Softshell clams are abundant on the flats off Bolon Island and elsewhere. Boats from the ports also access offshore fishing for salmon and other species. Area Hunting Great local hunting in the valley and surrounding hills. This cabin is the perfect location in the fall/ winter season to base yourself for outdoor adventure in the area. Scottsburg is located close to the Siuslaw, Melrose and Tioga units - home to bear, cougar, deer, elk, wild turkey, game birds and more! See local fishing information at bottom of this page. Plenty of room for a group of hunters or fishermen to relax and unwind after a day on the river or on the trail.
  • This place is awesome. We fished, swam, floated, read and relaxed. Great location to get away from it all. Beds were so amazingly comfortable (and I'm super picky about sheets and mattresses).

  • My wife and parents had an amazing time on the Umpqua river! The property was beautiful and the cabin was very comfortable. We had everything that we needed for the week. There is no AC but there are plenty of fans to keep the cabin cool. The location on the river was 5 stars! We rented Kayaks in Eugene to bring with us for the week and used them every day. Fishing was stellar and the river was warm and very swimmable. We played nightly games of Horseshoe and took full advantage of the private dock. The location was also great, being just a 20 minute drive to the coast and town of Reedsport. We will be back again for sure!!!

    Eric2018-07-22T00:00:00Z

The back (private) deck overlooks the pinot noir vineyard, the children's play structure and Mt. Tyee. The light-filled house is homey, with comfortable furniture and antiques, books and historical Oregon photographs everywhere. There is original art in all the rooms, courtesy of my plein-air painter friends and artistic guests! Go wine tasting minutes away... The Umpqua Valley is now the 4th-most visited wine region in the country, and our many beautiful wineries (such as Prayer Rock, Abacela and Hillcrest) win international awards. Crater Lake is a 2 1/2-hour drive along the amazing North Umpqua. Golfing is six miles away, boat landing, 3/4 mile. 1 hour to the wild Oregon coast for beach combing, whale-watching, charter fishing or storm-watching. Don't forget the Wildlife Safari, if you have kids! Half an hour brings you to drive among the free-ranging giraffes, inquisitive emus, snorting rhinos... .A quarter-mile away from us is the Lighthouse Center Bakery and Cafe--- wonderful (and generous!) vegetarian lunches, great "sticky buns", pastries and fabulous brick-oven artisanal bread.... hot from the oven at 11 a.m.! Valley's End proudly welcomes all races, all religions, all nationalities, all orientations and all genders.
  • Valley’s End Guesthouse was a perfect place for our week away, we felt at home upon walking in the front door and continued to feel that way for the entirety of our stay. The setting is truly amazing, amidst wineries and orchards and lush Oregon green fields with the Umpqua River at the end of the property, just a short walk away. There are multiple outside decks (though we didn’t hang out on them for long, it was the middle of winter after all!) and great outside lighting, with plenty of fire pits around the property for grilling dinner....we stuck with sitting around the stove inside and telling tall tales! It’s a great place for a couple of people or a small crowd, we had seven people over for dinner and there was plenty of room. The kitchen was great for cooking with several cooks and a crowd! The dogs probably loved it most, room to run in the fenced field and so many good smells! I recommend Kevin’s Guesthouse to anyone looking to get away to a beautiful landscape with lots of adventure possibilities; families, couples, or groups will all find it a delightful place to stay!

  • The photos of this property do not do the place justice. The home is artistic, homey, comfortable and beautiful. The patio was just lovely. The expanse of the property, with the Umpqua River was just gorgeous. The river at the property was in a perfect spot to enjoy, as it has a private beach on calm waters. It is situated out of town in just the most perfect of places to feel immersed in nature, but also close enough to access needed town amenities. The Host Family has a home on the property, but with the way the houses sit and the natural landscape architecture of the property plays out, privacy is ensured. Kevin played the perfect level of checking in, to establish an aura of comfortable communication. Yet she certainly gave us plenty of space to enjoy the property and the home. The home was well stocked with pretty much anything one would need. I would recommend this place to any one.

  • We enjoyed a lovely weekend on the farm and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the river, and meeting our host, Kevin. She’s super sweet, thoughtful and generous with the bounty of the farm. For future travelers, this is one of the best equipped homes we’ve visited. The kitchen has everything! House has great linens, beach towels, river and yard toys. And a great spot for stargazing.

    Kim2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Kevin's listing was absolutely perfect. We were in town for a wedding, and our group had everything we needed and more. We loved walking to the river to relax and swim. There's also so many great places to hang out around the listing. We can't wait to stay here again! Do yourself a favor, and book this if you can.

  • The Bailey River House was absolutely perfect for hosting our family Christmas dinner! There was a lot of parking for family when they arrived with easy access into the home. The kitchen was amazing, it had several ovens and a lot of countertop space making it easy to entertain a large group. The entire home is comfy, inside & out! We even enjoyed a nice morning of paddle boarding in the early winter month. Thank you for sharing your home with us❤️

  • We traveled from Florida to visit our Oregon family and absolutely loved this home! Everything was exactly as described. Amazing Thanksgiving memories were made around the fire pit and outdoor kitchen. . The river view was fantastic! The pub had a beer tap from a local brewery which was an absolute hit! Our family spent hours enjoying all the board game options and pub chess tables. The owner responded promptly to any of our questions/requests. We will definitely revisit this beautiful home again!

  • We brought my mom and some friends to Roseburg to celebrate her 60th birthday and Anna June's house was the perfect setting! The fire pit on the river was wonderful, everything was clean, when we had questions she answered them quickly. The kitchen was well stocked, and the list goes on. We even left something on accident and she quickly notified us and figured out how to get it returned to us. Highly recommend!
