This was an awesome vacation! I can only agree with the previews reviews. Finn was very helpful and made our stay very comfortable. Great breakfast, magnificent view of the fjord, the sunset in the evening... (Look at the pictures, it's more then 1000 words can say) From jyllinge you can easily drive to roskilde (15min) and copenhagen (45 min)(we parked near the little mermaid). But be sure to be back before the sun goes down :). Thank you Finn it was so beautiful

Very clean and comfortable place to stay! The property is absolutely beautiful, and the views are amazing! Our trip up to our stay here was busy with sightseeing and traveling, but once we arrived at this amazing place we just did not want to leave. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom very large with jacuzzi tub, and the view of the fjord was awesome! The hosts were very helpful and were very nice to bring hot water for coffee and tea. We would highly recommend this place and would definitely return again.

Finn's place is nothing short of amazing. We had our own private wing in his beautifully restored and beautifully decorated 200 year old farmhouse, with unobstructed views of the fjord and bird sanctuary from every room. Amazing. I couldn't see or hear any neighbors. All I could see and hear was nature. It was as if the whole fjord had been placed there just for us. And everything was so wonderfully cared for, from the lovely furnishings to the beautiful gardens to the scrumptious breakfast (get the breakfast, you won't be sorry). When you drive down the dirt road and into the cobblestone courtyard, surrounded on all sides by the house and gardens, it's as if you've left the modern world behind and travelled back in time. Romantic? You bet. Thanks Finn, for everything. We will definitely be back.

Amazing atmosphere. The space is quite magical. Both the old farmhouse, which has been impeccably restored, and the wonderful garden are really something and add up to even more in such a secluded setting and with that beautiful outlook. Finn and his wife were great hosts. Ahead of our arrival and without me asking he sent me lots of useful information about this fascinating location, interesting driving routes to get there, and practical tips on where to eat, buy groceries etc. There's also a guidebook which is very useful and interesting when you get there. And we very much appreciated his flexibility in accomodating our son as well at very short notice (we had booked for two originally) when our plans changed. The gorgeous bedlinen, brand-new towels and the huge jacuzzi were luxurious elements, and painted brickwork with limed wooden floors respect the heritage of the building and Danish character, while giving it a sense of tranquillity and calm. We also loved the varied Danish/English library! The endless view of the fjord, and its myriad bird life, fascinated us through ever-changing weather. I wanted to just sit there and look for ever - outside with a glass of wine or inside with a book. The air is clear and pure, as is the water in the fjord - which is just a short wander away. The 'old town' of Jyllinge has some really beautiful old thatched houses which are well worth the walk or cycle to see. Breakfast was wonderful and absolutely worth the small extra price. Fresh orange juice, fabulous coffee, delicious bread and pastries, eggs, yoghurt with fruits etc. I need to stop raving. The short of it is: We want to come back again, as soon as we can.

The appartment is situated in one of the wings of a very nice old farmhouse and it has a sleeping / living area and a large bathroom. It is very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. It has the comfort and feeling of a luxury hotel room. The appartment has a large garden and a magnificent view on the Roskilde fjord. The farm is very secluded located near the waterside (you can reach the waterside through the garden and take a stroll along the beach or ask Finn for a kajak). Finn is an excellent host and he has a lot of information about the area and also very practical tips for visiting Copenhagen put together in a binder. Copenhagen is only 40 minutes (approx.) by car. Roskilde is a 20 minute drive. I would definately recommend this place!

Finn was a charming host. The house is beautiful, in a peaceful setting on the shore of the Roskilde Fjord. Seabirds and the occasional hare for company. I recommend it!

Fabulous end to our holiday in Denmark. We spent our last two days relaxing in this wonderful place. The apartment was exactly as described. The situation is beautiful and we enjoyed spending the evenings outside enjoying the view and the calm. Breakfast is excellent and in fact, everything about this place is excellent.

Simply amazing! This is a wonderful place to stay. The room is spacious and stunningly decorated, with uninterrupted views across the fjord and a lovely lawn where you relax and watch the birds. This really is a luxurious place. Finn was the perfect host - we were given our privacy, but he made sure we all we needed in the way of information to make the most of our stay, even informing us of the meteor shower and what was the best time to see the shooting stars! Breakfast could be ordered on request and again this was amazing and very good value for money. With highlights like Copenhagen, Roskilde, Fredrikborgs Slot, Louisiana, Kronborg Slot and lovely beaches all very close by, you really couldn't find a better place to stay if you have you'e own vehicle.

Central located in Roskilde, easy to travel towards Copenhagen by rail, Railway station located at walking distance. Nice room and kitchenette with excellent privacy.

The people was so helpful And hospitality, we can't imagine better place to stay In Denmark, there was everything what we need And even more, we recomend everyone to stay In that place, we are sure that you wouldn't be dissapointed. The towels are included in the price, the bed is really big And the design of room is really lovely And looks better than planty hotel rooms

We arrived late from sightseeing, but were able to enter with a code for the door. The apartment was very clean, and Lene had even left out some snacks for us! The surroundings are very nice, and there are shops close by (with car).

We choosed this location because of the quiet atmospherr and the Fjord view. And that was perfect. For others, please be aware that you need a car if you.want to avoid bus and train travels. Roskilde itself is a pretty nice town and the Dom and Viking Musuem is worth a visit. We had a little trouble with the door but Lene explained it great. We wish Lene the best and thanks for the stay.

It's better, than you expect! Beautiful place, beach for swimming, Roskilde is in 5 minutes by car or bus. Lene and Jens are the best hosts. They propose half of the house with private entrance. Everything is absolutely clean and new... I would like to come back and spend there more days...☺

Nice house. Very big and clean. Good level of privacy and nice view on the fjord. There is a nice private bathroom and three singles bad. Also the kitchen, although with only the microwave and little fridge is very useful. Perfect location if you a Have a bike or car. Also some buses are available.

A wonderful home at a wonderful spot with a wonderful couple. It was very clean. Own front door to your own kitchenette, bathroom, upstairs living and upstairs bedroom. Lene helped us with the map, finding spots to eat and finding spots to see. She makes a hell of a breakfast, be sure to order it. We had a great time at Lene's and would love to come back anytime.

Lene's place is warmly recommended! The place is a living proof that Denmark is a design country! The place location is very good, the rooms are very clean and the breakfast was excellent. The recommendation for an evening restaurant was accurate and suited our needs. If you are in Rosklide surrounds - don't miss Lene's place!

This was a great location and a perfect place to stay. Lene has a beautiful yard full of flowers. We enjoyed visiting the sites in Roskilde and we were close enough to go to Copenhagen easily be train or car.

We are so lucky to choose Lotte's house from many places. Our dear Lotte is the most kind and friendly person we ever meet. Every night she waited for us like our family member and listen to our stories of our day, we will never forget, it is the most wonderful memory in Denmark. Lotte took us very carefully during our holiday, worry that we can not find the way home and drive us back, make delicious food for us. Everything made our days, we really appropriate it. My friends and I like Lotte very much as our family member. We wish Lotte will always be happy and keep healthy.

Quiet and charming house with a big garden in a residential area. Very much as described. Only one night stay that met our needs for a comfortable bed and a shower. Basic, clean and neat. Lotte was very flexible regarding our late arrival. Can warmly recommend Lotte as your hostess.
