Places to stay in Lamy
Our place in Our Crooked House is an entire 900sq ft apt attached to our owner built and lived in home. The bedroom is upstairs with a large deck overlooking Ojo de la Vaca Mesa. The sunrise and sunset colors make for a magical sky! Downstairs is a full kitchen and bath with two 15x15 rooms to relax in and enjoy the view. Couches, table, chairs, wood stove and art work from our from our friends! Stars abound in the night sky. Contact us beforehand if you have pets-before confirming reservation.
We have 2 dogs and 2 cats the roam about our 2 1/2 acres-they are friendly and funny. We have however realized that our female husky/Shepard mix is very territorial with other dogs especially female and smaller breads. Please contact Dennis before booking if you have animals you are bringing, if by chance you have pets and don’t have a conversation about them with Dennis and go ahead and book your reservation, I will expect you to cancel immediately. If you choose to wait passed the day you booked and my day is blocked because of this, there will be an immediate cancellation fee of $50 , if it proceeds to the next day, the cancellation fee will be the full rate. I say this because I leave pets an option and some pet owners are absolutely fine with the circumstance they are bringing their pets into, others just go ahead and book, which is not acceptable and then proceed to not cancel, leaving days blocked where we could have had other people book. We are on a dirt road so sports cars or low clearance cars will NOT be happy finding us. We are about 15 minutes to Santa Fe either by I-25 or Old Las Vegas Hwy. Cafe Fina is minutes away, as well as The Santa Fe Brewery Taproom in Eldorado. There is a lovely grocery store and gas station nearby.
Dennis built our adobe house 21+ years ago. It's Our Crocked House because over the years it has settled in its own wonky way giving it...character!
  • We loved our stay at the Crooked House! Dennis was very friendly and quick to communicate. The dogs are such sweethearts and greeted us whenever we pulled in. The location was great, close enough to Santa Fe but secluded and peaceful. Relaxing by the wood stove made for a great change of pace for us.

  • Surpassed my already high expectations. The Crooked House was so quaint and had the coziest atmosphere and NM style that we love! Dennis is great and knew we'd check in late and started a fire for us so the house was warm upon arrival! Wish we had more time to spend there. Can't wait to be back! Thank you!

  • I can’t recommend the Crooked House enough. Dennis and Nicole have created such a cozy, hygge vibe in the space. From handmade ceramics created by Nicole and other local artisans, to the ample supply of books and blankets, it really feels like a home. I stayed in January, and personally loved the wood burning stove. It was a nice ritual to get it started every morning. Also, they have the sweetest dogs that I befriended :) During my stay, Dennis was very helpful and responsive. He checked in multiple times to make sure I was comfortable. He came by mid week to restock my firewood, empty the ash from the wood burning stove and replenish other supplies. The location was ideal - a short and pleasant 20-25 minute drive from downtown Santa Fe. This made staying here feel like more of a relaxing getaway. I’ll definitely be coming back to Santa Fe, and when I do, I’ll be staying at the Crooked House.

  • Dennis's place has a real whimsical, bohemian vibe. It is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax. There is tons of space and an abundance of books and blankets! The location is right off i25 so it is super easy to get to the house, and is just a quick 15 min drive from downtown Santa Fe. As mentioned in the description, the house is located on a dirt road so you definitely want to take a car that can a bumpy handle a dirt (mud or snow) road. Overall such a wonderful spot, we would definitely stay at Dennis's again!

    Arielle2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • The Crooked House is excellent. Off the beaten path of the city. From the friendly pupper greetings upon arrival, to Dennis's helpful tips for the wood stove our stay was lovely! We were able to get in and out of the city while enjoying the quite calm the crooked house has to offer. Just be aware it is an unpaved road about a half mile up to the house, but our little sedan still made it up in the mud. Unique, charming, with the added benefit of a friendly host: we could not reccomend this place enough!

  • It has a laid back “true vacation” feel but close enough to sante fe to enjoy the city life

    Radiance2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • I am so glad I booked this place. It was a great home base to explore Santa Fe and the surrounding area while still being out of downtown enough to feel peaceful and relaxed. I love unique Airbnbs and this was one of my favorites. The views from the deck off the bedroom are amazing, the bed is quite comfortable, and the homey downstairs areas are full of character and light. Definitely recommend!

Amongst fragrant Pinon and Juniper trees, and under spacious skies, your casita is located just 18 minutes Southeast of the heart of Santa Fe. Hidden on a quiet, re-purposed land grant, this getaway is ideal for a couple or small family, and a perfect place for artists to explore their creativity
Your getaway space is a secluded, independent wing of our large home. It includes your own private entrance with 2 gracious rooms, hand hewn vigas, Santa Fe style diamond polished mud walls, and radiant heated slab brick floors. Thick adobe walls and ceiling fans ensure summertime coolness. Both rooms have dedicated double french doors, opening onto a portal for expansive sunset views. The master bedroom is furnished with a king sized bed, and attached bathroom. The sitting room has both a queen sized bed, and a new sleeper sofa (also queen sized). The kitchenette includes a sink, mini-fridge, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and blender. While watching the sun rise all around you, enjoy a leisurely morning with local Ikonic coffee or Santa Fe Organic teas of your choice. After a day of hiking or shopping on the Plaza, return before sunset for spectacular changing sky colors, and sip cocktails or soothing beverages, while watching the sun go down, from the portal, in best seat in the house.
We have assembled a curated list of creative things to do in the area, including an insider view to local archaeological sites, museum experiences, Native American Dances, restaurants, hikes and miscellaneous entertainment. Do not miss nearby Meow Wolf!! Withing 4 miles, is a retro, converted gas station, called Cafe Fina; famous for huevos mutalenos and chocolate crossaints( it's our favorite breakfast spot) Nearby El Dorado (5 minute drive) offers a grocery store, Pizza Centro, Farm to Table Arable restaurant, as well as Santa Fe Brewing Co, and the True Value (run by the amiable Mike) Down the road, another mile or so, is Lamy...The only Amtrak station in the Santa Fe area, historic Lamy Junction also serves as a tap room and music venue. Visit the Chili Line Brewery and taproom and Harvey's Cafe. Across the street, built in 1884, the Legal Tender Saloon is a wonderful place for weekend dinner and drinks (reservations requested)
  • Abbie's place was wonderful. A fantastic space if you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

  • Devie is a great host with really thoughtful touches! Highly recommend! Was very quick to communicate and has a very nice space. You'll feel right at home and very welcomed! It was close enough to Santa Fe but also gave us some extra peace and quiet away from the city.

    Andrea2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first Airbnb experience and it really set the bar high! This was truly a 5-star experience. Devie was a fantastic, informative, inviting and thoughtful host. The place itself was very nice, cozy, warm and relaxing. Location was easy to get to and not too inconvenient to go into Santa Fe for a meal.

  • This is the perfect spot for anyone in need of a beautiful place to relax, spread out and recharge. We enjoyed relaxing on the quiet patio with cups of freshly brewed coffee and tea. Melanie is thoughtful, communicative and friendly.

    Brian2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a hospitable host, look no further! Melanie’s place was absolutely charming, cozy, and wonderfully scenic! This Airbnb is definitely an experience, not a place to just crash on your way to and from a location. Stay here to relax and have the most hospitable experience. Also they offered us eggs, which was very kind, and they were delicious.

    Rachel2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Only wish we had more time to explore!

    Susan2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • At Humming Grove, expect to feel the warm embrace of a home that’s been thoughtfully put together to make you feel welcome. The decor and even utility pieces are like works of art. Many things are environmentally-friendly without being in your face about it. It’s quiet and spacioussss! And this refers to both the living spaces and grounds. If you are new to the area, Melanie will clue you in on all the best local places. We really enjoyed our time at Humming Grove.

    Dupe2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Melanie's was a super cute, super clean getaway. It's located south of Santa Fe but very close to amazing restaurants (Fina Cafe and Harry's Roadhouse). Easy access to I-25 and only about 12 minutes to Santa Fe shopping. Lovely place.

  • Truly what every Air B&B should be. Totally unique to the area and had so many beautiful personal touches. Adored this home and had a great stay!

Location is excellent for SanteFe & the surrounding natural areas were beautiful sights at sunrise and sunset. Book it!!

  • Robert is super accommodating and a kind host, and we had everything we could’ve possibly needed. He was very accommodating and very quick to respond with any questions. He is also flexible with check-in and check-out time, which was extremely helpful. The home was very clean and had all of the necessities for a few nights stay. Comfortable bed and well prepared kitchen – I appreciated the coffee. The shower was amazing!! Especially after a few days of skiing!! He gave us some superb recommendations on where to eat, places to shop and sights to see. This is definitely the perfect place to stay in Santa Fe. By far the nicest of any we stayed in before. This is a retreat! Stunning home, has everything you will need, amazing hosts and a lot of privacy. We would love to visit again in the future!! Highlights are the puppies and horses!! My daughter and I enjoyed greeting the puppies and feeding apples to the horses!

    Hayli2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I add my voice to the many others who have stayed here who have said they wish they could have stayed longer! Mine & my friends' visit was too short! Next time I come back to Santa Fe, I will pick this place again. For real. And Robert is so very kind and gracious, and the instant my friends & I pulled up to the house and hopped out of our cars to bring our belongings in, Robert was there to greet us and he treated us like family and it was just awesome. The house is awesome, the horses are sweethearts, it's such a beautiful area, and I recommend this place to anyone!

  • One of the best places we have ever stayed! Rosanna and Dan are such lovely hosts. The casita is just beautiful. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy sunsets as we did. It was really hard to leave. If we ever come back to New Mexico we will definitely stop at Rosanna's place! :)

    Sebastian2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Just wonderful .

    Betsy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Rosanna’s place is lovely. Super comfortable, with beautiful views. Rosanna left us some amazing soup in the fridge, and brought delicious banana bread the next day. Such a great experience!

    Will2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Rosannas place is surrounded by the most beautiful views around. The casita was very comfortable and quiet. I loved that there was not a tv. The whole visit was relaxing and exploring the area. The wonderful food you were kind enough to share with us was fantastic. We enjoyed time in your Casita . The dogs all seemed to have fun playing together. I would say this has to be the best experience I’ve had on this site. Thank you for having us.

    Christin2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Super special spot! SPECTACULAR sunrises and sunsets, not to mention the stars! Rosanna and Dan were gracious and welcoming hosts, not to mention their sweet dogs who shared each sunrise with me. Space was much larger and stylish than the pics, LOVED the heated floors! Enjoyed building a fire in the adobe fireplace. Rosanna had left fresh baked cranberry bread, very thoughtful touch. Well worth the drive to enjoy the beauty of northern NM at it's best. Hope to be back soon!

    Joan2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to get away while still being close enough to go into Santa Fe. Rosanna made sure we were well-stocked. The heated floors were fantastic. The scenery is so breathtaking, and the large windows brought the outside in.

    Linda2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Rosanna’s place was amazing. My wife and I decided to have a little Christmas getaway and we chose Rosanna’s place to stay. We are glad we did. The casita is very quaint place complete with Mountain View’s that you don’t have to get out of bed for and a starry sky that will knock your socks off. It had everything we were looking for on this trip: a fireplace, a kitchen, and be outside of the city. Quick little example: We cooked for ourselves in the Casita Kitchen on Christmas Day, and when there were a couple of ingredients we needed to complete a recipe, Rosanna had us covered with the ingredients and the bunt pan we needed. If you stay here and don’t see something you need, Rosanna will get it for you. She was a great host who was respectful of our space, but was also there if we needed something. We graciously took her up on an invitation to eat a traditional Mexican meal she was cooking for a party they were throwing and it was delicious. We are glad we had the chance to go and experience something you don’t get from staying in a traditional hotel. I can’t recommend our stay at the Casita enough and certainly will be back if we find ourselves in the area again!

    Stephen2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome host - Spectacular views - Beautiful casita had lots of extras including food. Our dog loved the host dogs. They played hard. Great place - really enjoyed being out away from noise and beautiful sky at night- highly recommend - will definitely stay again. Best host ever!

Great location complete darkness at night under the stars, soaking in the hot tub. Fantastic sunrises and sunsets, hiking and biking trails, overlooking Santa Fe city from the horizon. 15 minutes to downtown, 25 minutes to the Opera. Pecos Wilderness, 20 minutes away. Pefect
Easy access from the interstate yet hidden and private getaway. Your own private entrance, private bathroom, and full kitchen facilities. I do have one friendly but skittish dog, Cormac, who will quickly become a new friend.
We are 15 minutes from downtown, the Eldorado Community, with hiking trails, vistas, full tennis, basketball, handball, volleyball courts, dog parks, restaurants, coffee shops, market, and near the Peco Wilderness for the deep woods.
  • Located just a few minutes drive from Santa Fe, the El Dorado community where this Airbnb is located offers a serene environment with stunning night sky star-gazing, which is especially nice when viewed from the hot tub! Communication before my arrival was quick, friendly and accurate, and check-in was easy and as explained. The room was tidy and comfortable with an in-room coffee maker and large screen tv, and very comfortable bed. Tim introduced himself and was the perfect host, offering dining and recreational tips, conversing amicably without being too overbearing. I would definitely stay here again...except I've relocated to Santa Fe now, so doubt I will need to. I highly recommend this airbnb for anyone wanting to be "out of the fray" yet close to downtown and byways to neighboring attractions.

  • Fantastic location, host and amenities. We were just in for the night on a cross country road trip but Timothy's place hit the spot. Private entrance and bathroom with thoughtful touches, pet friendly, and beautiful location. Highly recommend!

    Elizabeth2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay at Tim’s. I’m struck once again with how much like home it felt. Tim is comfortable in his own skin. That makes it easy to be comfortable in mine.

    Nan2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Tim’s place is a steal! Tucked off into the desert, the spot is lovely and he is a kind, easygoing, fun host. Tim offered local food and hiking and roadtrip recommendations, encouraged hot tubbing under the shooting stars, and shared his zigzag life story to Santa Fe. You’ll love it here.

    Lisa2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • The room at Timothy’s place was clean, quiet, well kept and had everything you needed. Timothy and his roommate were lovely and kind and very helpful. The hot tub was quite the plus and the location was amazing, I’d def recommend!

  • Wish I could leave six stars instead of five! A cozy, light-filled space in a fabulously beautiful spot. Up on the mesa it feels like you can look out over the whole world; crows play in the updrafts and there were signs of coyotes & foxes. John was exceptionally helpful and even gave me a ride to the cottage.

    Brandon2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Off the grid, on top of a mesa incredible view, amazing night sky! John's place is truly unique in all the right ways. As a host he was incredibly helpful and always responsive if I had questions. It was a great experience. Like other reviews I recommend a good car as parts of the road are rugged but otherwise enjoy!

    Phil2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Looking for an escape from the norm and a Digital Detox. You've found it. Nestled at the end of a long dirt road is a tiny piece of heaven - the cabin. Make sure you pack enough food for your stay because you won't want to leave. I recommend hiking boots over trail shoes or city sneakersas the terrain is prickly whenever it wants to be, but be not to step on a Phrynosoma cornutum (lizard), is frequently called a horny toad, and its genus directly translates to “toad-bodied,” ascribed to the lizard’s froglike broad body and awkward gait. However, I was able to let one crawl into the palm of my hand where it found comfort. The view from the cabin is breathtaking and only inspires you to get out into the easily hikeable mountains that engulf you with dainty flowers, cactus, and a variety trees and indigenous plant life. The cabin sits near a cliff where you can climb or sit and gaze at the sunset... maybe even build a towerwith the flat stones... not necessarily rock cairns. The cabin aka tiny house features equal living and patio space so on a cool evening you might want to sleep on the patio or just reclinein the zero gravity chairs and look and listen to the wild birds. The IKEA decor fits like your favorite bluejeans and there's everything you'll need or forgot (compass, Garmin GPS, hiking headlight, flashlight, binoculars, dog leash, dog bowl, dishes, coffee maker, cutting board, waist high refrigerator, pots/pans, glassware, plastic cups, cutlery, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, camping lights, tea kettle, and more). The wifi speed is great and the electrical power is amazing for solar. Yep, off the grid but pure compliance with your needs. The compost toilet/bathroom is clean and has it's own crank out window to let your nature out. As well, the showeris clean with sliding glass door and has the same crank out window. The West facing wall is all oversized sliding glass doors with screens... the front door has a contemporary window cutout and a door screen as well which allows you to let the breeze pass through the cabin as well as the heat escape naturally for a sincere comfort. The IKEA futon bed is comfy and easily sleeps two. There is a small flatscreen TV that works fine, but you didn't come for that, so it tucks away on the wall hinges. There's a large wardrobe for hanging clothes and elfa drawers to keep organized. Also a small laptop if you thought you could leave "everything" behind. I'm a creative guy aka artistso my laptop is like a kid from the 70s with a 100 ct box of crayons... I gotta take my Mac laptop which came in handy as this was also a working trip for me of which I did so from the Cabin. I must say one would think I was watching a tennis match because my neck was torn between my computer screen and the beauty of the outdoors... needles to say I got my work done in a great mood, just faster. John is a source of energy planted by the creator of this universe and globe we call home. Upon my arrivalhe guided me in and we walked an talked for probably an houror more. He is a brilliant, caring and fascinating human you will never forget. To me he is like the older brother who only wants the best in life for you and you can feel this in his essence. I will be back and I will help John fulfill his dream of allowing others this experience only God can order. Thank you John, my newest friend and brother.

  • All the other 5 star reviews were accurate. This place is filled with stunning views and some much needed isolation. John was very hospitable and cared that we had a quality experience during our stay. Thanks again John!

    Blake2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • John is a great host. Do follow him up there as GPS is inaccurate. If you are looking for quiet and off grid, this is a great place for you.

    Byron2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • I want to tell everyone not to stay so I can come back every weekend. I am in absolute love with this place. I wanted to be a part of the tiny house community ever since I can remember so this was somewhat of a test for me ... ok you know when you found your dream place so nothing else is going to compare.... I want the location, the set up and NOTHING changed about this place ....

    Shan2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • The view alone from the cabin is more than worth the price! John put a lot of thought and time into the intricate design of this unique home. He utilized mother nature in a way that allowed the cabin to connect with nature. John was kind enough to show me up the mountain dirt road and around the home and even his shop that is still in the works. I will definitely be back!

    Kay Kay2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a gorgeous view from a tiny, off-grid cabin. We particularly enjoyed the HUGE walkout deck. Make sure to ask John for help getting there! Getting lost was our mistake! But once we arrived it was totally worth it. John is great, the cabin is great, and the quiet and solitude is refreshing.

  • This place is absolute magical. Kali and Sonja are very loving, generous people. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to stay on this peaceful land with these two. They have created a sanctuary.

  • This place was very relaxing and perfect for getting away for a while. It is very clean and cozy, and it is the perfect distance into town as well. We enjoyed our stay very much!

    Michael2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Kali and Sonja are thoughtful hosts who had heartful attentions for us and our baby. We have loved spending Christmas week in their casita, surrounded by the beautiful nature. Even though it was snowing outside we were able to stay warm and cosy in the house. Our only regret is that we didn't get to spend more time there !

    Anna2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely amazing. Beautiful spot on the planet. Super thoughtful hosts. Loved the walk to the outhouse under the stars. Loved all the natural light in the casita. Can't wait to come back someday.

  • Honestly I’m speechless . The serenity simplicity of this place is such a blessing. Just BEing helped us to get centered, in touch with our authentic selves asked nature :) I loved the hike up to the temple Building a fire with my wife to see the sun go down I loved that there was no WiFi or service on the top . Of course we could connect at a specific spot lower down the hill . But I truly appreciated not having 5g running through me lol Having tea with Kali & Sonya Was very special :) Their knowledge about sustainability is extraordinary !! I highly recommend them and their AirBnB be home

    LaToya2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was an absolutely wonderful stay in Kali and Sonja's earthship home. It was great to find an environmentally sustainable option, and my partner and I talked throughout our stay about the ways in which we could be better at conserving water, speculating at the passive solar energy and how comfortable this home was with such environmentally conscious amenities. There is filtered rainwater, trash/recycling/compost, warm water, an outhouse, and a kitchen with all of the essentials needed to cook a fabulous meal. They have two little earthship homes tucked into the hills of their property and have found the perfect balance of privacy and hospitality. It was a quiet, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful. I would encourage other travelers to be mindful of resources during their stay, and to continue to treat this home with love and care.

    Marisa2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, Kali & Sonja are tremendously kind & welcoming hosts. Kali was always very accommodating, & available when needed; be it to repair something, or to help with unloading & loading my car. They both were also so generous about allowing guests to just stop by their private home to say hello. And they have a beautiful, peaceful 40 acre property, on which guests are welcome to roam. Tucked up in the rocks is an amazing Shiva temple that they lovingly created. In fact, lovingly is the term that I would use for the Peaceful (Marpa) Casita, where I stayed, as well as all of the spaces that I saw that they created. Very special, indeed. And for me, the perfect place for a two-week solitude retreat. A beautiful, peaceful, & unique place. I hope to return!

Bright home full of windows and colors. Just far away enough from the Plaza to feel like you're getting away from it all. And just close enough (20 min) to grab some enchiladas!
You have a private entrance if you would like, your own private bathroom, and access to the communal spaces.
El Dorado is full of wildlife, come and see for yourself!
  • Close to everything, but you feel closer to nature. Quiet and comfortable sleep! Sweet pups! Natasha and her partner are in the restaurant industry, so I did not have a chance to meet them. However, it was nice to have solo time in their lovely and well decorated home.

The French doors to your beautifully-appointed suite with sitting area and comfy bed open out to a rural setting that is so quiet! You will enjoy stunning views of the desert expanse to the south and pine-studded mountains to the north. Watch those famous New Mexico sunsets after a day of activity in historic downtown Santa Fe, just 15 minutes away. Close to hiking, outdoor adventures, five-star restaurants, museums, sightseeing, cultural activities and all the magic New Mexico has to offer.
The studio is attached to our main house but is fully private with separate entrance and bathroom. The kitchenette has a microwave, sink, and refrigerator; with cutlery, plate-ware, and utensils for basic food preparation. The large travertine-lined walk-in shower must be seen to be believed. On our 1-1/2 acre property, we regularly see bobcats, roadrunners, coyotes, bunnies, owls, and other wildlife. Your hosts love to socialize, but it's up to you to choose your level of privacy (your suite is fully separate). Connect to X-Finity Comcast high-speed Wifi for internet access, AND (as of 12/3/17) relax after a day of fun and enjoy Comcast/Xfinity Cable TV lineup with premium movie channels like HBO, Showtime, StarZ and more.
We are in Eldorado at Santa Fe. The neighborhood is in a country-like setting amidst scrubby Junipers but with conveniences such as a large grocery store, restaurants, and other stores just five minutes away. It's very quiet and you just might see a bobcat or a coyote during your stay.

  • Kevin and Judy's casita is just so lovely and relaxing. The location is ideal for a quiet retreat and yet so close and convenient to all that the Santa Fe area has to offer. I've stayed in a number of Airbnbs around the world and this sweet casita is one of my favorites.

    Marian2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin And Judy's place was better than we expected. I loved the special touches like instructions regarding how to use the remote and snacks in the kitchen.

    Bonnie2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a perfect place to stay for a quick weekend getaway! Easy to find, spacious (more than enough room for a couple) and very comfortable, relaxing accommodations. The location is far enough outside of Santa Fe to escape the noise of a city, but not so far you can't get there quickly. The stargazing is incredible! Definitely go outside on a clear night and look up. Kevin and Judy communicated well with us from the very beginning, giving easy to understand instructions and info. Kevin was even kind enough to shovel the walkway and drop ice melt after some heavy snow while we were away on our last day. They definitely go above and beyond to make sure you have a comfortable stay. Highly recommended - much better than staying a hotel!

Unique home. Private and quiet. Sweeping mountain vistas all around, twinkling night skies, warm fires, private site adjoining a huge wilderness preserve, yet convenient to town and close to local amenities. Winter in Santa Fe is magical. Only 20 minutes to the plaza with shopping, world-class restaurants, galleries, & museums. Low season means no crowds! Ski Santa Fe is only 30 miles away and right now (Feb. 10) they have an 80" base! Do it all, or just do nothing at all.
We want you to make yourselves comfortable in our home. We love it and we love Santa Fe and are happy to share it with you! The 3000 SF of living space and 3 bedrooms gives you plenty of room to spread out. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and walk-in closet. There is plenty of room for 9 people, 7 in beds and 2 on air mattresses. The master bed is a king-sized Sleep Number bed with dual controls and has a heated mattress pad, also with separate controls. The queen-sized bed is also a dual control Sleep Number bed with a dual control heated mattress pad. In the last bedroom, one twin bed has a heated mattress pad, one has an electric blanket, and the other bed is an extra-long twin bed. Floors are beautifully stained concrete throughout the house. There are 5 (!) fireplaces, including one outdoors and one in the master bedroom. It’s always fun to toast marshmallows in the outdoor fireplace! The TV room has a powered double reclining loveseat, powered reclining lift chair, a TV with Direct TV (with HBO and Showtime) and Chrome Cast, as well as a large DVD library of our favorite movies. There is a whole house (indoor common areas/outdoor) stereo system. Do you like to bake or cook? While baking at high altitudes can sometimes be a bit of a challenge, this kitchen is ready for you! The Casa has a big, fully equipped gourmet kitchen with a double convection oven and just about any small appliance you might want, along with all the pans and equipment you might need. Also in the kitchen, you'll find a 12 c coffee maker and New Mexico Pinon Coffee (a local favorite) and a selection of teas for you to start your day. Any amateur astronomers in your group? The clear dark skies and amazing location are perfect for enjoying the heavens above. For your own stargazing experience, you are welcome to use the concrete observation pad located to the east of the casita. Bring your own scope or use the portable telescope provided for your use. There is power at the pad should you need it for any of your equipment. See the Milky Way as you've never seen it before- clear moonless nights reveal the Milky Way from horizon to horizon! Be sure to check your lunar calendar for new moon nights for the best viewing. Bright moonlight tends to wash out the Milky Way. The stars are also beautiful from the warmth of the hot tub on cool crisp nights. Just sayin'. During the spring, summer, and fall the main portal (that's New Mexican for patio) is the place to be with its spectacular view of the mountains. It's easy to spend your leisure time at the outdoor table in comfortable chairs enjoying the exceptional climate and beautiful view. In the winter, the large dining table with its super comfy upholstered chairs is the place to gather- especially if you light a fire in the fireplace to keep you warm and cozy. Speaking of leisure, we have also have a good number of board games for all ages, a big box full of Legos, and a variety of jigsaw puzzles for some good old-fashioned family fun time. There is also a selection of kid books for different ages as well as a library of books for the grownups.
East Ranch is a small subdivision of only 38 lots. Since we are at the edge of a wilderness area, it is not uncommon to have wildlife of all types visiting the neighborhood and surrounding the house. Birds are plentiful as are bunnies, jackrabbits, chipmunks, and prairie dogs. Maybe you’ll see the 10 point mule deer buck and his girlfriend that sometimes make an appearance by the driveway or one of the three jackrabbits that like this end of the cul-de-sac. We’ve named them Big Jack, Jack Bunny, and Jacqueline Bunnette. You will probably hear coyotes yipping and yapping back and forth at night. Be sure to take the kids to visit the Alpaca farm across the highway! It's an easy drive into Santa Fe and just a few short minutes to Harry's Roadhouse. There is a grocery store, two pizza restaurants, a South American restaurant, and two farm-to-table restaurants nearby as well. During the summer months, there is a local farmer's market just up the road at La Tienda on Friday afternoons. There is a year-round farmer’s market at the Railyard in Santa Fe on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. Both are great places to pick up some locally grown food.

Nancy goes above and beyond with her attention to detail and you really feel right at home in her place. • A perfect Airbnb experience! I arrived at Tina and Ken's place feeling very under-the-weather (with allergies from weeks in Texas) and this cozy get-away was exactly what I needed to rest and recoup. Tina and Ken attend to every last detail providing everything a person might need while creating a peaceful, beautiful, and unique space for guests. This is a very dog-friendly retreat—my dogs felt right at home which always makes me feel at home too. Both Tina and Ken checked on me throughout my week there, knowing I wasn't feeling well. They were attentive without being invasive. If they saw I needed something, they were right there medicine, local suggestions, etc. On Valentine's Day they even gave me tulips! And another night they brought home a yummy dessert for me from Cafe Fina, an awesome restaurant just minutes away. I thoroughly enjoyed having dinner with them and their completely adorable dog, Hondo, the night before my dogs and I departed. Great food (Ken is an incredible chef and talented artist) and lovely conversation! Tina and Ken are the epitome of fine hosts and people!

  • This was my home base for a few days of hiking and exploring New Mexico, and my best Airbnb experience ever. Seriously. The location is amazing - so quiet, and it felt remote and secluded on a small mountain, but with easy access to Santa Fe (10min) Albuquerque (<1hr via nearby I-25) and places such as Bandelier, Taos, etc. The place itself and amenities were great. My own parking spot and private entrance, a cozy bedroom with a great view, a utility room with lots of hanging / storage space and a washer and dryer, well stocked refrigerator, and a nice flat screen tv I could cast my phone to. But more than the location, accommodations, and amenities, the hosts were what made this stay better than any other. Ken and Tina were perfect hosts. From the logistics of arrival, to the many thoughtful touches in the accommodations, to helpful guidance for a first-time visitor, they really cared about my experience being a good one. I wish I could give them more than five stars. They really made me feel at home. HIGHLY recommended.

    Mark2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Ken and Tina‘s place was perfect for my time in Santa Fe at a silent retreat. It was quiet and cozy and also allowed me to have my two dogs with me. Their fenced in area allowed my dogs to run around during the day while I was in retreat. It had everything I needed to make my own simple meals. The close proximity to Galisteo Basin allowed me to be up early to hike with my dogs before class began. I would definitely recommend if you’d like to stay out of the city area and want a more quiet secluded space.

    Erin2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kenneth and Tina are as advertised. They truly are super hosts. When we arrived my name was on a welcome board: it read “welcome Jacob and friend”. As soon as they learned my girlfriends name it was immediately on the board as well. It was so thoughtful and kind. When Kenneth learned we wanted to go in a hike he gave us a great recommendation for a local walk in the Pecos valley. Great local tips and incredibly thoughtful hosts. I would recommend them to anyone in the Santa Fe area.

The outdoor garden is great with multiple bird feeders attracting birds. Great place to stay and will definitely come back next time we visit.

  • Kenneth and Tina go out of their way to make you feel right at home. They add lots of little extras and make sure everything you need is right there. This is a great out of the way location. Convenient to all things in Santa Fe and the whole area. Very special place to create great memories. Best place for pets ever! Our little chihuahua felt right at home too.

  • Truly charming and relaxing. Perfection for a Santa Fe get-away!

    Jaime2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second stay with Ken and Tina. The welcome was like old friends returning. Ken and Tina are fabulous hosts and such funny and interesting people. The other guest, Hondo, their dog, is just the best ever. She greets you, checks in on you. Gives you lots of love and is friendly to our dogs as well. We love the rural setting. It is so peaceful and our dogs love the freedom of roaming and discovering. In the unit itself, they have provided every need or comfort necessary for a great stay. However, the best part is the warmth and generosity of Ken and Tina. They go above and beyond. We needed a place for the cat (Hondo doesn't like cats, and my cat would NOT like Hondo). Without asking, Tina found a place for us to board her at a very reasonable rate and just down the road. Thanks Ken and Tina! Bob and Carmen

  • David's place was perfect for our quick holiday weekend getaway! The views were amazing, hikes within walking distance, and just a short easy drive to downtown. The place was so cute and the welcome basket with goodies and homemade muffins was icing on the cake! Will definitely be our first choice place to stay when we return to Santa Fe.

    Sara2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • David and Sharon's guesthouse, in a word, outstanding! As I wrote to David when we arrived, "We are thrilled!" We loved everything about the place. Especially nice was being 6 miles from Santa Fe. The stars at night were spectacular. The drive into Santa Fe was never a problem. We got the best of the city and the country. You have to see the interior to fully appreciate all of the amenities and personal touches. We were made to feel like welcomed guests. This place will remain on our "must do" list. We'll be back!

  • A beautiful guest house I would reccomend

    Tom2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • David and Sharon are terrific hosts. The casita is beautifully furnished, decorated, and appointed. We were greeted by welcome treats, a bottle of wine, and a scrumptious coffee cake that we spread out over three breakfasts! David was very responsive, and when it snowed during our stay, he made sure the path from the casita to our car was cleared. The casita's location was perfect for us because we were visiting family in the El Dorado area. But it is also a wonderful choice as a peaceful and cozy retreat with great views and amazing stargazing and an easy drive into the center of town and the Plaza.

    Hilary2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this welcoming casita, and the hosts’ Santa Fe style. Personally we liked being a little outside of the city — the views at breakfast were delightful. The hosts really thought of everything from a sweet cheese tray at check in to comfy robes and slippers. We’d love to stay here again!

    Hannah2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • It is said that one can never go back, but I did at the Casita Cristiano and it was amazing the first time and even better than the second time. I knew that to be the case when I walked up to the door and opened it and this wonderful casita just grabs you! The interior design and decorating, the view out the windows in the evening, sitting on the couch with the fireplace going, the Milky Way at night, the gorgeous desert landscaping and more just makes me want to stay here but to live here (if only). Hiking trails one can walk to are great. Everything one needs to live is in this casita so one can cook or go out to some very close and very good places to eat. It's a great place from which to stage a visit to Santa Fe. I brought my gravel bike and day rode plus going to the gym and the stay was wonderful. I could do this very thing at this casita for months. The hosts are also the absolute best! I'll be coming back again and again. ! Shouldn't say all of this because I may have a harder time getting in next time!!

    Roger2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • My family had a lovely stay at David and Sharon's guest house. Not only is it beautifully decorated and spotless, there were delightful touches everywhere, from kaleidoscopes on the bathroom window ledge, to sightseeing guides on the end tables, to a copy of Willa Cather's Death Comes for the Archbishop on the nightstand. On our first day we spent all morning out, leaving our tiny chihuahua at the guest house. Sharon took her outside for a potty break while we were gone. Later that day I got lost, so David kindly gave me directions back to his place. Very thoughtful, friendly hosts with a beautiful place.

    Jessica2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is as beautiful as the photos look, if not more beautiful! The hosts left wonderful treats & amenities....even a treat for my dog! The casita is on a dirt road set off the small highway so it is peaceful and quiet, feels like a real getaway. I would definitely stay again and recommend it!

Located in Eldorado, a suburb of Santa Fe. This home is in the desert and has Asian and African accents. It is 25 minutes from the Santa Fe Plaza and 8 minutes from a grocery store. A car will be necessary. You will often have the whole house to yourself since I have private living quarters in the back.
There are several places to eat in Eldorado off of Avenieda Vista Grande. Arable is fairly upscale and very reliable. La Plancha has good family food. Upper Crust next to the gas station has delicious pizza and Santa Fe Brewery has great beer.
  • A beautiful house out in the nature. The room is very nice as well.

  • Elaine has a lovely abode in a gorgeous setting. Everything is as described and very comfortable. The sunset was truly almost 360 degrees and as beautiful as hoped. Elaine is an amazing, talented and enjoyable woman. It was pleasure staying here and engaging with her. Highly Reccomend! My only lament was I was passing through and didn't book another night to explore Santa Fe!

  • This was my first time reserving an AirBnb, and I couldn’t imagine it going any better! Pat’s Casita was wonderful! She added personal little touches of hospitality which I loved! The Jacuzzi tub was great after a long weekend of hiking. The bed was super soft and comfortable. We were able to sleep with the windows open. The starry sky was probably my favorite. This heated yurt offers a unique way to enjoy Santa Fe. For those who want to camp with a flair, this 30 ft diameter yurt is beyond a tent but not quite a house. We designed an experience with your comfort in mind. Although there is no running water, there is a makeshift kitchen with 5 gallon containers for drinking and washing. The outhouse is a short walk from the yurt. Set in the pinon pine forest, this yurt is ready for your memorable Santa Fe visit!
This affordable Santa Fe experience is not for everyone. There are 8 steps that lead up to the yurt so guests should be confidant on their feet. It is rustic since it has no running water but it does have a gas heater and electricity. We have tried to make it just as comfortable as it can be though with a comfy king sized bed, nice furnishings, a microwave, barbecue, solar shower and fancy outhouse. It is a unique experience for those who have an adventurous spirit. We think you will like it a lot!
  • This yurt is so big! My partner and I had loads of room to dance, making the whole thing even more romantic and memorable. With the ear-plugs and easy to use white noise machines, the highway was no trouble at all. The neighbor's barking dogs were definitely more disruptive, but we still slept like a dream in that HUGE bed. It's in a great location about 10 miles from downtown Santa Fe. The view of the stars is incredible! The outhouse was clean and didn't feel like a port-a-potty, and we opted out of using the solar shower in 40 degree windy weather, but were able to use the amentities in the main house freely, as we were the only guests on the property, and Robin kindly offered us the option. We had a great time in Santa Fe! Even though we somehow appeared to be the only people under 60 in the town, everything was great! Definitley give this sweet yurt a try if you are looking for a laid back, unique experience, and a wonderfully private place.

    Kinsey2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Robins was a great experience! We didn’t expect so many amazing amenities, so if you want to bring your own food do it! The yurt is close to the road but the cars didn’t bother us much and Robin provided ear plugs if it did. Overall a fun, clean, and a great way to glamp

    Alexandra2019-10-06T00:00:00Z

  • We had a very comfortable month long stay at Francis’s home. The home is surrounded by Mt & forest which was ideal for our activities. Francis was accommodating and promptly responded to our questions. We appreciated the enchiladas he had for us on our first nite.

    Donald2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • The area around the home is gorgeous and the space is a cozy cabin-like getaway. If you're looking for subtle charm, look no further!

    Samantha2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, what a great experience! This home is situated in a beautiful area that really feels like a private high end Santa Fe nature retreat. That being said, it is still close enough to Santa Fe that the drive to town is a piece of cake. The space was warm, well appointed, and exceptionally comfortable in every way. Francis was a pleasure to work with, and always responded quickly. I will stay here again without hesitation, and truly look forward to the chance!

    Justin2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Francis's place - it was better in person and a lot more spacious than we expected. We had our dog and the outdoor space was great for him to explore. The place was clean, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the bed was comfortable - definitely feels like a cabin but in a good, cozy way. There's also a washer and dryer that you don't see in the pics, which was super convenient. Francis did mention details about the location, water pressure, and internet speed in his post, so yes it's about an 18 minute drive into Santa Fe, the water pressure isn't the greatest, and the internet is slow (especially in the evenings when we had to wait for a few minutes for pages with a lot of pics to load (e.g., cnn.com). All that said, the transparency was appreciated and Francis was quick to respond to any questions. Lastly, we came in late and it was a real treat to see that Francis had prepared a tray of enchiladas for us to heat up - seriously the nicest thing an airbnb host has done for us!

  • Nice place not far from Santa Fe!

    Amanda2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice, single bedroom house. Great amenities, internet ok-ish, parking very good. Do keep in mind that the place is 25 mins from Santa Fe center, but easy drive.

    Roy2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our time at Francis's place. A great base for hiking in both the Pecos and Santa Fe areas. The home was quiet (cannot hear the interstate). Kitchen had all amenities needed. Bed was comfortable. Home was clean. As advertised in the listing. We would stay here again.

    Katie2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancee and I spent five amazing days at Francis's Casa de Vaca. The home itself was wonderfully spacious and the location was absolutely beautiful. (Definitely take the suggestion about driving an AWD vehicle seriously, because it does take a bit of off-roading to get there!) We loved the patio for grilling and the kitchen was easily the best-stocked AirBnb that I've ever stayed in. Thank you to Francis for giving us such a memorable vacation!

The house is 2,700 Sq Feet, 3 bedroom adobe style house with 14-foot ceilings with spectacular views and a portal (covered patio) with deck with its own outdoor fireplace and pellet grill BBQ. Property sits on 4 acres and is very private. Only 20 minutes drive into Santa Fe. This is a great house for a family reunion or just a place to hang out. We have parking for up to 5 cars and 1 RV. 20 amp service for RV. There is a 60 inch base at Ski Santa Fe and a 54-minute drive to the slopes.
Included with your stay is the use of a Pellet Smoker/BBQ. We also have plenty of parking and can easily handle 8 vehicles or even an RV (for stays less than a week). The house also has an aquarium and a large cage with finches and canaries. The cage is in the office area and not in the primary living spaces. We will daily feed and take care of both the fish and birds based on a time that is convenient with the guests.
We are only 20 minutes from Santa Fe but we have a full-service supermarket, local gas station, and 4 very good restaurants within a 5-minute drive.

  • We stayed three nights at the end of the year. We had planned for a much larger party, but things changed. Fred’s home was very roomy for the three of us. We were glad we went through with our reservation. The location is perfect - a short drive from downtown but still secluded and quiet. As mentioned by others, the hosts stay in their fifth wheel nearby. It seemed weird to kick a family out of their house, but we decided to consider them neighbors. Despite close proximity they respected our privacy and were very friendly and responsive to messages. The pups on the property were adorable. We regret we weren’t able to hang out with them. The birds sing beautiful songs in the morning and quiet down in the evening. It might be distracting if you want to watch TV/Movies, but we didn’t watch either so it was quite peaceful. You can still hear them when the bedroom doors are closed, but they were nice to wake up to. Fred and Eileen occasionally popped in to feed the fish and birds, but they coordinated the times with us. They left us a few treats too which was a nice surprise. The hosts share their food with the expectation that you also replace what you use in the pantry and refrigerator. The kitchen is in great shape and has a gas stove with a dual oven. It suited our needs very nicely. We will miss the dark skies at night, the red sunrises, the mountains, and the high desert.

This sweet 2 story, 2 br 1 ba cabin is a 15 min beautiful scenic drive to the Plaza. Nestled at the foothills of the Sangre de cristos mountains, we are close to Eldorado, Lamy and Galisteo. This space has beautiful views, tranquil sunrises/sunsets, endless star gazing, a wood stove, peaceful surroundings, privacy, a porch and an eclectic new mexico style. We are close to: hiking/biking trails, community market, shopping and eating. This cabin is close to town but offers a more peaceful retreat.
This sweet spot offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bath. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, the other has a very comfortable full size bed and the futon in the living room is also a full size. The private bathroom offers a beautifully Talavera tiled tub/shower and saltillo floor tiles. The location is very close to town but offers the serenity of the country. Bird watchers, Gardeners, Nature lovers and Skiers paradise! Sit on the porch and take in the sunrise and bird songs in the morning while sipping your coffee, then meet back at the cabin after a long day of shopping, and eating to take a short hike and retreat with the stars and the howling coyotes. Just a short drive to restaurants, downtown, grocery, shopping and nature makes this a great hub for all Santa Fe and surrounding areas has to offer. We enjoy hosting friendly, nature loving and well mannered adults and children who will treat our cabin, property and neighbors with respect. This space is not suitable for Parties or overly loud guests.

Haven from hubbub. Near I-25 and 285. Convenient for travelers to and from Denver, Albuquerque, and Oklahoma. PRIVATE spacious studio with keyless digital entrance. Guest suite: bathroom w/shower; no shared space. Comfortable queen bed. Mini-fridge, m/w, coffeemaker. Best of both worlds: a 25-minute drive from downtown Santa Fe for jaunts to attractions in the oldest state capital in the U.S. and a QUIET place to view fantastic sunsets, experience night skies, and access hiking trails.
Beautiful sunsets. Strong WiFi. Peaceful. Pop onto I-25 in one direction to reach the heart of Santa Fe, or in the other direction to a great national park. Excellent stopping place on that long drive from Denver or Oklahoma. If you would like to stay in the space on Tuesday or Wednesday evening as part of a longer stay, please inquire as to availability as sometimes there is flexibility. Please note that we thoroughly clean between guest stays. Many of our cleaning supplies, such as laundry detergent and fabric softener, are scented.
Quiet, safe, beautiful views, great walks. Good grocery store, coffee shop, and restaurants nearby. The night skies are wonderful. Our neighborhood has rules about outdoor night lighting to keep light pollution to a minimum, and the result is that you can often even see the Milky Way.

  • Great place to stay for the weekend in Santa Fe! You won’t find a better deal around. The place was clean and relaxing with full window views of the surrounding desert and adobe homes. The drive is about 25 minutes from downtown, which we liked because it was quieter and gave us the opportunity to explore the outskirts and be near some hiking trails. Definitely take Pat’s advice on Cafe Fina down the street-it has the most amazing Christmas breakfast burritos.

    Shelby2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and comfortable! We very much look forward to our next stay!

    Ben2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Pat was a great host. Communicating with her was easy and her place is clean and quiet. Beautiful views from her home, we would definitely recommend.

    Desirae2019-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Pat's place truly has character. It was very clean and tidy and it is located in a quiet, relaxing area of Santa Fe. What is especially nice is the seating area inside such as the couch and comfy recliner. It is a nice get-away and if you need anything Pat will quickly respond to you! I visited when there was a ton of snow, but it would be a pretty area any time of year.

    Rebekah2019-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice space: spotless, super comfortable bed, private entrance-very convenient, easy to get to, and only about 15-20 minutes to downtown plaza area. We had an awesome weekend away and were very comfortable at Pat’s place. Great experience and would 100% recommend if you have the opportunity to stay here!

Charming Santa Fe home, 15 mins from Plaza. Full of color and light, Kiva fireplace, viga ceilings, 6 floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking adobe-walled garden. Furnishings detailed with an Asian/Southwest sensibility. Fully equipped kitchen. Convenient, quiet, cozy. No street lights! Panoramic view from rooftop deck, flagstone patio, barbecue, table, chairs and lounges. Quality sound system, premium DirecTV in bedrooms. Paved roads. NOTE: Occupied artist's studio apartment attached.
Our home and environs are just right for us. We’re on an acre and a half of land (not too little, not too much), corner lot, right on the greenbelt. Neighbors close enough, but not too close. A Goldilocks lot! Our backyard is enclosed by an adobe wall constructed from handmade adobe bricks, the old fashioned way! We have a terraced garden in the backyard, enclosed by hand-stacked local stones. A lovely garden in the spring/summer, xeriscaping, plus a peach, apple and Italian plum tree. A 360-degree view of the countryside and mountains from our rooftop deck (pretty wonderful for sunset cocktails) and no street lights, making our star-filled sky incredible to behold. Inside, our home is also cut from Goldilocks’ fabric… juust right!
We have no street lights out here, thus, "Starry, Starry Nights!" There's a shopping center less than five minutes away with a supermarket, beauty shop, bank, QuickSend, pizza take-out, medical office, pet grooming and supplies, coffee/tea store, and veterinary clinic. A second shopping center, across the street, has a brewpub, hardware store and restaurant, La Plancha. Other restaurants two to four miles away are Harry's Roadhouse, Cafe Fina, and Bourbon Grill.
  • When it came time to check out, I told my family that they could leave and that I was staying. One of my favorite AirBnB stays. Such a beautiful, comfortable and relaxing home. It is a little outside of town (Santa Fe) and felt like a real escape. Perfection.

    Gillian2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Adonnah for letting us stay at your charming house. Enjoyed reading and the fire place in the evenings. We enjoyed cooking in your well stocked kitchen! The Santa Fe Tap Room down the street was a good way to get a sense of the delightful people in the area😊

    Donna2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great space with the Santa Fe feel.

  • Great place for family members to stay during the holidays.

    Jeanne2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • My whole party throughly enjoyed our stay here. The whole place truly embodies art and beauty. Spacious, yet cozy at the same time. The pieces of art surrounded the space and their book collection were amazing. The rooftop deck showcases the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains. The backyard garden with pathway was glorious. It was a pleasure talking with Adonnah and her house was a welcome respite for my family and a couple close friends.

    Dan2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Adonnah’s home is terrifically charming and a great base from which to explore the Santa Fe / northern NM area. She gave me a thorough tour at check-in — and invited me to make use of anything in her kitchen and pantry — and my friend and I slept soundly and enjoyed a bit of a respite from our day-to-day lives in SF and NYC. Thanks again, we’d love to stay here again if we’re in town!

    Daniela2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Starry Starry Night is absolutely gorgeous! Very comfortable indoors and outdoors. Could not have had a better place to see Santa Fe adn enjoy the gorgeous views and area. Wonderful host!

  • Great hospitality without being intrusive. Gorgeous location and easy drive to town. Beautiful place, very comfortable. One bed firm one medium. Adonnah very considerate about a guest who needed unscented options, which we really appreciated. It was hot during our stay but the airflow in the adobe house kept us feeling comfortable and fresh.

Located just 20 minutes from Santa Fe, we are surrounded by Mountain View’s. We have many walking trails, bicycle trails and green belts. My home is Passive Solar with 64’ of floor to ceiling windows. There are adobe interior walls and a Mexican flair to the spaces with Mexican tiled bathrooms, folk art collections & owner's art. Very peaceful and many amenities nearby.
I have one room available in my home, with a private bath. Breakfast can be served in the solarium or in my dining room. It can consist of fresh baked goods with fresh berries/fruit, coffee/tea...or a full breakfast with items such as Green Chili Souffle, Omelettes, etc. I am able to accommodate diet restrictions such as Vegan/GF. I am a practicing professional artist and my studio is also in my home. I am available some to socialize and I love to cook. My dogs are friendly & exuberant. I can separate them from guests space.
  • Jennie’s home was just what the doctor ordered - peaceful space and creative inspiration. Jennie’s home is filled with color and art (including her own!) and two lovely dogs. The room was fabulous with great space (and a Japanese tub!) and very quiet. Jennie’s breakfast was also one of the best parts about this stay - don’t miss out on the blue corn tortilla pancakes! Her place is just about 20 mins from Santa Fe in a safe but more spread out neighborhood than down town, so if your looking for some truly calming space - this is the spot! Jennie was a great host and made me feel extra comfortable and also helpful in recommending local things not to miss. Highly recommend! Thank you, Jennie!

    Tawny2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jennie has a delightful semi-rural home set in the high desert where guests wake up to pink skies, mountain views, a delicious breakfast and good conversation about their day's plans and her sharing of helpful tips. Her home is beautiful "pueblo revival" style and decorated with exquisite art. Cap all of this with her very warm hospitality and attentiveness. Jennie is a distinguished artist and anyone coming to Santa Fe with interests in the city's illustrious art scene will definitely benefit from staying with her as well as enjoying her studio.

    Grant2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Such a wonderful stay with Jennie. Her home is exquisite, both in design and the artful touches. Not only that, for Jennie is a gourmet cook who served the most delicious breakfasts imaginable. As if this wasn’t enough, Jennie also took the time to inform us of her amazing art, much of which we hadn’t encountered before. Oh, and her neighborhood is situated in a beautiful landscape with amazing New Mexican sunsets.

    Robert2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful everything - location, place, hostess, communication. We felt welcomed and very comfortable. Highly recommend!

    Jyl2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful getaway where I had quiet moments to think and write. From my room I could see the Sangre de Cristi Mountains and hummingbirds flitting about the garden outside my window. Jennie is a doting hostess and was always there to assist in any way. She was a wonderful cook and the breakfasts and homemade snacks were special. I have traveled all over the world and would rate my experience at Jennie's place one of the best.

    Ron2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Jennie’s place (Casa Rosa) is a wonderful place filled with creativity that is the most amazing place to stay. Jennie is so much fun to spend time with and to get to know (along with her dogs, Rosa and Chi) and is the epitome of a true hostess. Her home is only a short jaunt to downtown Santa Fe, and there are also some great trails for walking in the area that is more quiet. Definitely recommend taking a few minutes out at night when the sun is down to look at the stars! Jennie is also an amazing cook and made us the most delectable breakfasts and she even had robes for us for when we would shower or use the wonderful bath. Highly recommended to all!

Perfect stay if you'd like to be away from chaos of the big city. • Nancy was a great host and we had an amazing stay! She had many thoughtful touches for us and our dogs that made our stay extra special! This is the perfect place for dogs and they are welcomed, not just tolerated, like some other "pet friendly " listings. Walking to the cafe each morning to have breakfast with the dogs is also great. 20 min drive to downtown which is not a problem at all. We would highly recommend staying with Nancy!

    Kristi2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy’s place was beautiful and charming and she was a very accommodating and helpful host. The location is great for walks and the cafe down the street is delicious.

    Emily2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Dog friendly: What more can I say. As people who love to bring our furry friends road tripping with us, Nancy’s place was absolutely perfect. We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. The bed was cozy. The property was super clean, bright, had awesome southwestern touches. Communication with Nancy was quick and kind. I hope we can come back one day!

    Lauren2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy is definitely a super hostess, if I could I would rate this a 10! The property is in the most ideal location of Santa Fe. The airbnb is very cozy and beautiful--you are definitely in Pinon Heaven. loved the stylish furniture and all the special artistic touches. This is by far my favorite airbnb that I have stayed at. a huge bonus for us dog lovers is that Nancy offers a super dog friendly environment too which really makes a difference for those of us who travel with our fur babies. And if you are into star gazing this is the place to stay ! I will definitely be back and have already recommended this place to friends. I wish our stay could have been longer.

    Nancy2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy's guest house was a peaceful, cozy oasis after two busy days in Santa Fe. AND, it was so awesome to be able to bring our pup, Remy, along! He loved all three of Nancy's dogs - Buster, Gracie and Kismet - and enjoyed exploring the three fenced acres with them each morning. Nancy is a kind and thoughtful hostess. She provided local tips on where to eat and also told us about the Galisteo Basin Preserve where we could take Remy for some off leash hiking. The guest house is cozy and comfortable, and was stocked with coffee, half and half and snacks. The bed is super comfy and FIRM and my back felt amazing sleeping on it. The location is a quick drive to Santa Fe, but there are also a lot of amenities close by. We walked to Cafe Fina for breakfast in the mornings; the food, coffee and pastries were top notch. We would absolutely stay at Nancy's again when coming back to Santa Fe!

    Allison2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, peaceful place!

    Nanci2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Why would anyone not want to come to the country? Wonderful location, personable and helpful host, and all with easy access to Santa Fe. A great stay for us again!

    John And Judy2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy’s place is perfect for a couples getaway to Santa Fe. We had a young child with us, but her place accommodated our needs well. Her property is beautiful, and we really enjoyed sitting on the patio drinking our morning coffee each day. It is located within minutes of the square. We also enjoyed walking down to Cafe Fina at the end of her street for breakfast. Nancy is a great host, and we will definitely be back again on our next Santa Fe trip.

  • Very cute and comfortable house. The beds were great, bathrooms and kitchen too. We especially enjoyed waking up to a sun filled home. The location is a bit remote but it’s still an easy drive to Santa Fe. On the plus side, the location makes for a quiet stay and it’s great for star gazing!!

    Carolina2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was brief (2 nights), but such a pleasure. This home and neighborhood area is beautiful and felt convenient to everything in and around Santa Fe. Four adults fit comfortably - sizable kitchen, dining area, plenty of seating in the living room and the sunroom would be such a lovely space for morning coffee in the warmer months. The master suite is large and very well appointed. Second bedroom has no door (just a curtain) which was a surprise, but fortunately this area is quiet. Francis was very responsive, with extremely thorough and frequent communications. This was a lovely Santa Fe experience - I wish we could have stayed longer!

    Kyle2019-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely place in a terrific setting for star gazing! We loved the cozy space. Driving into and out of downtown Santa Fe was easy and gave a sense of occasion to each departure and arrival. I’d love to return to this home on another visit!

    Kate2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place was just what we needed - a quiet place outside of Santa Fe to unwind and see the stars. The outdoor space is amazing with three different seating areas and a small fire pit that overlooks the hill behind the house. The unit is very private and comfortable, with a wonderful sun room. The master bath looks like it was recently redone and there is a washer and dryer in the closet of the master bath - a great perk! The kitchen had modern appliances and was very easy to cook in. Francis provides everything needed. The unit is attached to another unit, but is done in such a way that we didn't hear our neighbors at all during the trip. A window in the master bedroom can be opened to look at the entrance to the other unit, but it is frosted privacy glass so it was not a problem for us. We just opened the other window in the master for air. The house warms up during the day, so that even though the nights were chilly, we didn't need any additional heat beyond the flannel sheets that Francis provided. All was very comfortable and lovely. Francis is very responsive and a great host! We hope to come back soon.

    Ellen2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • My family of three stayed at this home last week for fall break. Our requirement was a quiet spot from which we could do several day trips: One to the balloon festival in Albuquerque, and two to Los Alamos, and three locally into Santa Fe. This location was ideal to do those trips. The home itself is done in a very quaint Santa Fe or adobe style that you would expect from the area; stucco walls, flagstone floors, wooden beams, and other Southwest touches. Nestled in the rolling hills outside of Santa Fe, there were several outdoor spaces we could use to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. My daughter's personal favorite was the sun porch and the daybeds located there. Perfect to relax, take a nap or just chill out. Two important things to know about this property: take the warnings of using a four-wheel drive vehicle seriously. As the host has it listed, the dirt lane and driveway leading to the property are quite steep and narrow. Although we had no snow or rain on this trip, it is not a road or driveway I would want to drive with my Prius even in dry conditions. My husband's truck of course had no problem. Second consideration, as clearly visible in the posting's photos, there are many steps leading to the property, and the area outside that is available to use for sitting and enjoying the outdoors, the home is situated on an inclined lot with additional steps. On the interior of the home there are more level changes and more steps including some areas of pavement such as the flagstone in the sun porch, as well as, a bricked living area and upstairs hallway that are somewhat uneven. While these areas did not prevent our enjoyment of the home, they may be a problem for someone with stability issues or recovering from foot, knee or ankle injury. All in all, this was a really great property that completely met my family's needs and if in the area we would most certainly rent from this host at this property again. One final comment on the evening of our arrival our host Francis hand-delivered a tray of green chile chicken enchiladas. As we were all tired from a long day of driving and a late evening arrival, we were so happy to have received these delicious enchiladas! Thank you Francis for making us feel welcome and for providing an excellent opportunity to visit Santa Fe! I hope we have the good fortune to stay with you again.

  • Casa de la Vaca II is a great cozy home 20 mins from downtown Santa Fe. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and our two dogs loved their walks on the property everyday. If you want quiet and tranquillity this is the place to stay. We didn’t mind the drive into Santa Fe for groceries or dinner. The location worked for us to get to Las Vegas and Carson National Forest for hiking. The house stayed cool in the evenings with the windows open. We only turned the AC in the bedroom on at night. One thing to know and remember is that there is a one bedroom house directly next door. We never once heard or saw our neighbors so it was a non-issue for us. The way Casa de Vaca II is setup creates a lot of privacy on your side. We cooked breakfast every morning in the kitchen which had all the cookware you need and a nice selection of basic spices. The living room is super cozy and a great place to unwind. The sun room was our favorite room in the evenings. It’s a great place to hang out with a drink and relax. The master bedroom bed was really comfortable and a great place to recharge every night.

Looking for some solitude? A place to ground and get centered in this busy world? Our Healing Barn has been converted into a serene and peaceful space. We primarily use the space for our clients who come here for a 1:1 individual healing retreat. The barn is stocked with spiritual books and videos. There’s a palpable healing energy in the space and on the land. A 15 foot waterfall creates peaceful sounds to relax, the outdoor cowboy bath with on demand hot water is pretty epic to soak.
Soak in the outdoor cowboy bath with on demand hot water, or take an outdoor shower under the stars. (limited availability in winter months) Direct access to Hiking trails in the State Pecos Wilderness. Outdoor Star bed provided for laying and gazing at the stars in the evening. At 7300 altitude the Milky Way is pretty epic. Outdoor Fire pit for roasting marshmallows or just getting cozy. Warm and cozy indoors with radiant solar heated floors. While it snows outside you can walk around barefoot in your shorts! There is a 3/4 bath (shower only) kitchen (hot plate, convection oven) full refrigerator, all dishes, pots/pans utensils, blender, coffee maker, teapot. Salt/pepper, olive oil. Netflix and internet with a large screen TV, Bose Bluetooth speaker & full size Bose sound system (Aux corded)
There are some excellent restaurants in the neighborhood not far. Cafe Fina, Arable to name a few. We also have a grocery about 5 miles away.
  • The barn had many thoughtful touches to make the atmosphere cozy. Of note for those planning to prep meals there - they have a toaster oven, blender and cooktop for you to use.

I highly recommend and already recommended to my friends it was magical From start to end, The way to get to the place is in the woods, when I came in everything was flawless, super clean and every corner was detailed with great taste, it’s a warm and cozy space full of great energy inside out with sound of nature all around, I came in for an intensive retreat at galisteo so the location was perfect and the barn was comfortable and included everything I needed, (I wish I didn’t need to be away most of the day and got to spend more time there) I wish it will be available again next time I plan a visit to Santa Fe with my husband:) Thank you so much !!!!!🏜 💫

  • Jana & Lance’s place is just outstanding. A tucked away retreat in a beautifully wooded area outside Santa Fe, the barn has been very thoughtfully renovated and has tons of thoughtful touches. And Jana & Lance are very responsive. Great experience all around!

  • This is a very beautiful and secluded spot. We loved being able to stargaze as there is no light pollution around. It is a very romantic space that would be very suitable for honeymooners. This would also be a great space for someone who is just wanting to get away from it all and enjoy the peace and quiet. I recommed this to anyone.

  • John's place is very comfortable and clean. It is quiet and in a beautiful location with fantastic views. We have previously stayed here and hope to stay again. next year.

  • We spent nearly a month in John's house, and it was perfect for us. The house is pretty, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the house can accommodate a small family or two couples nicely. And John has an amazing entertainment center and stereo setup (with detailed instructions on how to use it). We loved the location in El Dorado - we were visiting family in that area, and it is quiet and beautiful with great views of the mountains in the daytime and amazing views of the stars at night (when the moon is not full or out). The El Dorado Supermart is very handy along with wonderful farm-to-table restaurant Arable. Harry's Roadhouse, Cafe Fina, and Upper Crust Pizza are nearby, and it is an easy drive to get into town for all the other activities and restaurants Santa Fe has to offer. And John and his co-host Joanne were very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend Casa Lumina!

  • John’s place is one of the best places to stay in Santa Fe. It is in a quiet neighborhood that is the perfect distance from the city for stargazing, but close enough to be downtown in minutes. The house is thoughtfully decorated and the appliances are top notch. Great backyard space for sitting outside when it is warm enough. Would definitely stay here again.

  • John is an excellent host. The place is clean, safe and quite. It is a home away from home. We will definitely rent it again. John's attention to detail with amenities is exceptional.

  • Bruce is a 5-star host. He has included so many thoughtful touches to this space: a refrigerator full of beverages, fresh flowers, and any TV station you’d care to watch. I especially appreciated the quality bed linens and towels. It was wonderfully warm and cozy, with radiant heating making the bathroom truly luxurious. One of the better AirBnBs in Santa Fe!
