Places to stay in Lanark
Cosy, rustic, off-grid wooden cabin, surrounded by mature, private woodland with diverse wildlife. 1.5 miles south of Biggar. Woodburning Stove & Cookware Sleeping Bags/Pillows with fresh cotton slips/Towels/Firewood/Candles all provided Outdoor (heat your own water) Camping Shower Compost loo Views to Coulter Fell & Tinto Hill - fantastic hikes! Easy walk to River Clyde Glentress/Peebles 30min by car, Edinburgh 40min, Glasgow 50min Regular Direct Bus Service * This is not Glamping! ;-)
A renovated wooden horse stable with mezzanine bed up a ladder, wood-burning stove (pots/pans/utensils etc provided), kitchen sink with fresh drinking water and DIY outdoor (hot!) camping shower. This is simple, rustic living for those who want to be closer to nature, surrounded by trees and birdsong. The site is not completely free of road noise (see satellite image) but with a light wind through leafy trees it's certainly well masked. Winter visitors be sure to bring appropriate day/night wear.
Biggar is a historic market town, Coulter has great walks and an excellent old pub - The Mill Inn. The woodland around the bothy has many species of birds including sparrowhawks and firecrest wrens, the occasional fox and regular visits from deer.
  • Wonderful stay, definitely easier to get around with a car but fairly easy if you rely on public transport too! The outdoor shower is such a great addition to the cabin, it’s also been so great to wake up to the sight of the woods every single day - I’ll definitely be back in summer!

  • Our 2nd visit as we loved it so much.

    Laura2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

  • The bothy is lovely, lots of nice touches and very cosy! Thank you Merlin!

    Katie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the bothy in the February snow. Despite this, once the log burner was going it was toasty warm inside and we had a fabulous, relaxing stay.

    Chris2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Bothy is a beautiful, quiet place to get away and relax! Even in February, with the stove it’s warm in the evenings ! The hosts were welcoming and had prepared instructions and handy tips for every event making the stay very easy. The location is ideal for walking and exploring ! Will definitely be returning :)

    Amy2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • My experience at the Bothy was truly a wonderful. Beautifully situated in woods surrounded by the sounds of nature. It was a perfect time to switch off. Merlin et al made for the perfect hosts - warm, informative and responsive. I especially enjoyed the outdoor shower (exhilarating!!), burning the log fire, and the morning birds! I will certainly be returning, and highly recommend this experience!

    Kerrie2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Second visit to the bothy and it was just as relaxing as the first visit. It’s a perfect environment to switch off and forget the rest of the world. Especially useful on Friday 31st Jan @11pm.... 🙃 the space was perfect and it’s something I recommend everyone visit. I convinced my partner to use the outside shower and she loved it. Success!

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left Marion, and her husband James, made us feel so welcome and comfortable. We really enjoyed our delicious, plentiful breakfast, which was served in the foyer where you can get a beautiful view out over the valley. • Really lovely hidden gem, very stylish and clean space with thoughtful hosts. Even included continental breakfast which we hadn’t expected! Would highly recommend to anyone travelling in the local area.

    Hattie2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay in a lovely suite which was spacious and very comfortable. Great breakfast as well.

    Wendy2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • An absolute gem of a place to stay. Marion greeted us and made us most welcome, we hadn’t been in the house very long before she was making us a pot of tea (there was numerous types of biscuits to be had too)and having travelled from the Isle of Skye this was really welcomed. Marion suggested and booked a restaurant for dinner, even offering for her husband James to drive us there! We walked as being cooped up in the car for several ours we needed to stretch our legs, the restaurant was only a 10 minute walk away. The restaurant, Prego, was excellent. The accommodation is exceptionally comfortable and superbly finished with luxurious touches in both the lounge area, bedroom and bathroom. We have stayed in several Airbnb’s but have never been offered breakfast until now and what an excellent continental breakfast it was too - a selection of cereal, yoghurt, fresh raspberries and blueberries, toast, croissants, different types of jam and marmalade, orange and tomato juice and a pot of tea. Superb! We thoroughly recommend a visit to Marion and James’ home, they are a great couple who really want you to enjoy your stay with them. We will be back!

    Annie2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an absolute dream. From start to end we were made to feel at home, where Marion and James happily welcomed us in to their gorgeous home. Our suite was spotless and so cosy, and the welcome basket was much appreciated. We stayed for a wedding down at New Lanark, where Marion gave us a lift down to the venue. So kind! The comfortable bed at night was just what we needed when we got home. It was lovely to meet Marion and James. Cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you again!

  • I had a short but amazing stay at Dorren's. Her flat is unique, quiet, extremely clean, and I had an excellent breakfast! Doreen and her dog are lovely, thanks again for everything! I'll come back for sure

    Anne2019-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • I came on a genealogy hunt only to find a second home! Doreen's energy, zest for live and warmness made me instantly comfortable. Even Breia the dog was warm and welcoming! That's not to mention the comfortable room, comfy bed, spacious closet AND a bathrobe. Which I took full advantage of. Breakfast was fresh fruit, tea, toast and more. I definitely didn't leave in the morning hungry. As a walker, location was great. Ten minutes to the train station (and a good grocery store) and twelve minutes to downtown. Even New Lanark was only a 34 minute walk. I loved the heritage building. Even with some construction the view was lovely and the building rich was history. I can't recommend this enough for a great space and a wonderful host.

  • A really lovely little flat, clearly well-loved and most suitable for a family with a young child. Just a short bus ride from the Biggar Puppet Theatre, which we were visiting. Nice touches around the flat, and a really friendly and communicative host. Highly recommended. Five stars all round.

  • Jacqueline’s flat was perfect for a short stay. We stayed for one night when we were at a wedding in Cornhill Castle. Everything we needed was provided and it was spotlessly clean. The wedding venue was just a 5 minute taxi ride away. I would highly recommend Jacqueline’s flat, excellent value for money.

    Lesley2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Its a lovely clean, quiet space. You wont be disappointed!

    Sarah2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We felt very at home at Jacqueline’s flat. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable, had everything you need for a stay away from home in a very quiet location and we would highly recommend it. Thanks Jacky.

    Eileen2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • I had Jacquelines home to myself, it was like staying ‘home from home’ thank you.

  • We had a wonderful one night stay here for a friends wedding at nearby Cornhill Castle. Jacqueline and her daughter welcomed us to the property and showed us how everything worked. Little touches like milk and eggs made a huge difference to how welcome we felt. It was so clear how much pride she takes in her property as it was immaculately clean and so well presented, with very stylish and well thought-out decor. Can't recommend highly enough!

    Iona2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, roomy and tidy flat, everything you need. A much loved space....even views at the back of the house towards Tinto Hill. Quiet area.

  • Have just finished a week long stay at Jacqueline's beautiful apartment. A lovely place set in teh borders countryside but still and easy drive to Edinburgh and Glasgow. Apartment was spotlessly clean, Jacqueline was quick to respond to the queries we had and went out of her way to ensure we could extend our stay without difficulty when it was required. All in very happy with everything and will gladly recommend to others.

You'll find everything you need in the kitchen - we could cook a full Christmas meal! But we would also definitely recommend a visit to The Crown Inn (in Biggar) if you'd like to treat yourself to a meal out. Comfy, spacious, warm - the ideal home away from home!

  • Would highly recommend staying here. The apartment is spacious and very close to town. The only warning would be the stairs if you have difficulty with those, but we would definitely stay again. Laura was very helpful, responding to messages very quickly and had left a lovely welcome package including milk, bread and butter.

The excellently appointed kitchen had everything to make cooking a breeze and it was great to be able to do some washing. It's right in the middle of Edinburgh and Glasgow for easy driving or rail trips and is in a lovely part of Scotland well worth exploring. Parking was easy for our hire car. We'll be back.

Located just over 30 minutes from Edinburgh, 40 minutes from Glasgow and only a short drive from the Borders. Country Nest is located in the semi-rural village of Carnwath so come and experience the countryside with village charm. Our home is ideal for families or couples looking for a break away in the beautiful countryside. You can snuggle up in front of our log burning stove, or relax in our garden. On the door step you will find a restaurant, bakery, grocery shops, pharmacy, and pubs.
You will love our spacious lounge where you can chill in front of our log burning stove. Enjoy a night of board games, unwind with a DVD or some quiet time with one of our books. For the tech savy's, we have wifi that also comes with a NOW TV box for browsing away on internet TV. We like to think you can do anything in our kitchen! We have a washing machine, dishwasher and electric hob/oven along with a fridge and more importantly a freezer to store those ice cubes. In addition to the adults plates and cutlery we are stocked up with kids stuff too, even a high chair for the wee one. Our Bathroom/toilet is located on the ground floor and has a power shower overhanging the bath. You will find fluffy towels and smellies for you to use. Country Nest has two bedrooms that hold five guests. The main bedroom has a king sized bed with plenty of natural day light. The second room has a bunk bed, made up of a double bed at the bottom and a single bed on top. For the wee one, you will find a travel cot ready for use and can be set up in either room. When the Scottish sun shines you can unwind on our outside terrace or chill out on the grass. We are also dog friendly. Well behaved dogs can stay for an additional £10 per stay, please advise when booking.
Enjoy countryside walks around the village, a freshly made pie in the local bakery or how about a round of golf in Carnwaths 18 hole golf club. All within minutes walk from the door of Country Nest. For the fisherman, grab a permit in the pub next door and venture out to the river Clyde for the day. For the more adventurous take a trip to Edinburgh and Glasgow, both only 30-40 mins away on the train. Nearby the historic towns of Biggar and Lanark are only 15min drive away.
  • We had an excellent stay at Ian's place in Carnwath. It's a lovely cottage with so many nice touches in a great village. Would certainly stay again.

  • Positives - gorgeous and comfortable home from home, cosy beds, excellent facilities in bathroom and kitchen and lounge and dining room are comfortable and relaxing Negatives - really not too many! Main road so parking is a little tricky and it’s a fast road so watch if you have little ones and the front door is dirty because of it. (Ian and Kat can’t change this stuff just FYI for anyone booking!) We loved our stay and found everything that we needed easily and the host communicated fast and clearly with me. Will definitely book again!

But seriously fabulous apartment, lovely and clean, bright and contemporary, with loads of space and the bonus of outdoor space for dog or sitting out in good weather. There is a direct train to Glasgow from Lanark and 3 miles from the property there is a direct train to Edinburgh from Carstairs. New Lanark where Robert Owen made famous the woollen mills on the river Clyde. It’s approximately a 25 min walk and is beautiful. William Wallace was married in Lanark. Lots to do.

  • Unfortunately we were unable to stay on 17.08.19 and Margaret very kindly offered for us the opportunity to stay at a later date which we were able to on 23.08.19. The only regret we have is had we known how great a host Margaret is and her beautiful house we would have stayed longer if time permitted. To truely benefit Margaret’s hospitality and what the area has to offer with its close proximity to Edinburgh and Glasgow by train, I would recommend a minimum stay of 3 days and we definitely hope stay there again. PS this is the best Air BNB we have stayed in.

Sunnyside Lodge is the perfect place for getting away from it all, but with an abundance of activities on your doorstep! Situated in a quiet nook just outside the ancient market town of Lanark (a Royal Burgh since 1140) you benefit from the lovely restaurants and shops on Lanark High Street and the UNESCO World Heritage site of New Lanark just 2 miles away. For a city experience Edinburgh and Glasgow are less than an hour away with excellent transport links. Who says you can't have it all?!
Sunnyside Lodge dates back to at least 1825 and is a charming stone bungalow with a private cottage garden. The luxury kitchen leads out to a patio area, complete with gas BBQ and outdoor sofas. Perfect for relaxing with friends and a glass of wine on warm summer evenings! Sunnyside Lodge has just been through a full renovation and we set out to create a beautiful home from home, full of Highland charm. This cottage has so much character, from its ramparts to the log burner keeping guests cosy on winter days and nights. We have put a lot of ourselves into the styling too - the two bedrooms are decorated with our family tartans, Macintosh and Buchanan. The welcoming shower room is fresh and clean with wood finishes and blue and white decor - finished with a fantastic power shower. The kitchen has an American style fridge freezer, coffee machine, wine fridge, AEG appliances and granite worktops. It's extremely well equipped - we believe that a holiday home should be at least as comfortable and as well equipped as our guests' own homes. You will enjoy the welcome basket with local goodies including Sunnyside homemade jams made with our own fruit! Snuggle in front of the log burner with a movie if you feel like a quiet evening in. There are televisions in each bedroom and Sky Q and free wifi means you can be as connected as you wish...or not! Your neighbours are spring lambs in the adjoining fields, and wildlife abounds - hares, woodpeckers, owls and deer wander though the estate. Take a walk through the walled rose garden at Sunnyside House or a ramble through the woods. The river Clyde and River Mouse border the estate and fishing is available.
Lanark is an ancient Royal Burgh, created by King David I in 1140, and is a 5 minute drive away. It benefits from excellent restaurants (La Vigna, Prego, Route 36...) tearooms (Wallace Tearoom, Le Petit Cafe) and a great selection of shops. For golfers, the excellent James Braid designed Lanark golf course, is the 25th oldest in the world and has hosted many prestigious events, including Qualifying for the Open Golf Championship. New Lanark, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is only 5 minutes away, and continues the trend of history at every turn, which is so evident in Lanark. The town is renowned for its connection with Scottish hero, William Wallace. He continues to watch over Lanark even today - his statue takes pride of place at the end of the High Street!
  • A cosy Scottish retreat with the warmest welcome you could ever hope for.

  • We loved staying in this luxury cottage. It is very beautifully and thoughtfully done and very well-equipped. Great log burner and kitted out kitchen. Lucy is a fantastic host. Very friendly and she had left a great welcome basket which included her delicious homemade jam and scones. She also gave us lots off eggs from her own chickens. Seriously comfortable beds too! We had a lovely relaxing time with our two children and our dog. We would highly recommend.

    Erica2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This charming little cottage was a star find for me. We only stayed one night but wished we would have stayed for longer it was a true home from home with all the creature comforts you need (and more). The home made scones and jam in the welcome pack were delightful. Thank you very much for our wonderful stay

    Louise2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sunnyside Lodge is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. The woodburning stove in the lounge is lovely. The welcome basket was such a lovely touch - the fresh eggs, home-made scones and jam amazing. Would love to go back for a longer stay.

  • The five star rating wasn’t enough, perfect place with outstanding hospitality, definitely recommend Sunnyside Lodge and looking forward to staying here again in future. Homemade scones and jam with clotted cream and fresh eggs from the chickens outside. We were here for my friends hen party and had Prosecco chilling in the fridge for our arrival. Lucy is an extremely thoughtful host and communication is excellent. Highly recommend 😀

  • We have just enjoyed a lovely stay at Sunnyside Lodge. Its very peaceful, warm, comfy and cozy. Log burner in the lounge was a treat. Beautifully furnished and decorated, and had everything you could want for a stay. beds very comfy - we all slept well, helped by the total silence! Lucy was easy to contact should you need to. She had prepared a lovely welcome basket of local goodies, including some delicious homemade scones and jam. And the daily eggs from the chickens were the most tasty and richest eggs we have ever eaten! The location is great for southern Scotland. We went to the Falls of Clyde for a fabulous 6km walk, saw the mills at New lanark, but didnt have time to go in. Also visited Colzean Castle and Country Park on the Ayrshire coast (about 1.5 hours away), Glasgow School of Art for the open day (daughter looking at uni choices), and the most wonderful visit to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow. It is full of this amazing collection of everything, and has one of the worlds most famous pipe organs - they even do a daily organ recital at 1pm for 30 minutes for free, and it sounds incredible. The cafe there is v good too, especially the fish and chips! Glasgow is easy to get to by either car or train - we did both. all in all, we had a great week, with a lovely homely base to come back to each evening. We will be recommending this place to our friends and family, and hope to come back!

    Heather2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for two nights with our children age 1&5. Beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting! Very clean, modern with great use of space. Appreciated the welcome basket and the fresh eggs. The stove was great with a never ending supply of logs. Lucy was easy to communicate with. The beds were super comfy and there was no noise at night We will definitely stay here again. 10/10

  • The Tinto hideaway was superb accommodation, i would happily stay there again and would highly recommend to anyone as a place to stay. The accomodation was clean & organized throughout. Siobhan was very helpful and made sure that we knew where everything was . The teabags, muffins and ginger biscuits were a lovely touch and much appreciated.

  • Great hoast and quick to reply to any questions about the location. Welcoming host and the place was very clean. Will stay again if in the area.

  • Tinto hideaway was a really nice accommodation. Everything was clean & organized. Siobhan met us at checkin, made sure that we knew where everything was and answered all of our questions. The croissants and ginger biscuits were a delightful to go with many other personal touches throughout. Our kids loved the upstairs bedroom and the spiral staircase. There were lots of books for those rainy days. We were able to drive to the Helix/Kelpies and Falkirk wheel with no problem. We also recommend Prego in Lanark (Italian) as an alternative to delicious fish and chips.

    Russell2019-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation is attached to the owners house, but it is completely separate, with its own door. Great having 2 bathrooms! I would suggest older (sensible) children only, as the spiral staircase is great, but not advisable for small kids. It's 3 minutes walk into Lanark, but in a quiet cul-de-sac. We went to Edinburgh from Manchester, and it broke up the journey well (its handy for Glasgow too!) Host provided bath and hand towels for all, and tea/coffee/milk/etc - everything you might need. There are also some great books! Fully recommended.

Cambusnethan is a desirable area on the outskirts of Wishaw. The apartment is situated in a private housing estate built in the 1980's by Wimpey and has great views to the rear, sitting 15 metres back from the street at the front. There is private parking, and a rear garden with plenty space to sit outside and relax or even eat al fresco (weather dependent of course).
  • Stayed for a week while working nights in Glasgow, clean place and all you need to be comfortable Archie lives below and is only too happy to help you with anything.

  • Nice flat

    David2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very restful couple of week’s at Archie’s flat during the Christmas-New Year period. It was great to find this place, in an area without many Air BnB choices. The flat is very well located – shops and takeaway restaurants are close by, and there’s easy highway or train access to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Flat is very clean and comfortable, ideal for one or two travelers. All our communication was handled quickly and usually in person. We recommend this as a great place to stay!

  • We had a lovely stay at the gardeners hut. Very cosy in a beautiful landscape. Merlin was a great host. Replied very quickly and had some good recommondations of what to do in the neighbourhood.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights and loved every minute of it! The fire kept us super toasty, and never once felt cold, despite it being freezing outside. The interior of the hut and outdoor shower room are unique and really lovely and was way beyond our expectations! Upon arrival, Merlin filled us in on the area and we enjoyed the great suggestions for dinner. Definitely want to visit again!

    Stephanie2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved our stay in the Shepherd’s Hut. A cosy and comfortable space which was thoughtfully equipped and finished to a lovely standard. The shower and stove were hot and kept us warm despite snowy December weather. Merlin was close to hand and was kind and helpful when we needed some extra kindling and even left us a Christmas wreath on the door. We most enjoyed our wintery hill walk at Coulter Fell and the local fish and chip shop. Will be recommending to friends and family and planning our return trip in spring!

    Kate2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay in the shepherd’s hut and wish I could have stayed for longer than one night. I was worried it might be a bit cold in the middle of December but the little wood burning stove kept it toasty warm. Would gladly stay again.

    Benjamin2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We were a family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 children aged 5 and 2. The cottage was incredibly spacious and was furnished to a high standard. It had everything we needed and the kids loved the space. The cottage is remote which was great-nearest supermarket is probably around 15 miles away. Location wise it's not too far away from Edinburgh and Glasgow. Had a great day out at the Falls of the Clyde which is about 40mins away in New Lanark. All in all we had a great stay and would highly recommend the cottage-fantastic value for money. We're sure to be back.

Delightful large double room with en-suite shower. Quiet location less than a mile from the historical town of Lanark. Located in the Clyde Valley half way between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Lots to do.
Full use of large conservatory with garden views.
    Plenty restaurants,bars and takeaways.
  • For me, the best part of travel is the people I meet along the way, and Margaret and Drew, my Airbnb hosts in Lanark, were great examples of ideal travel hosts. I was only able to spend one short day at their beautiful countryside home, but it was a delightful day. Located in the countryside just over a mile from the Lanark Station, their home is warm and welcoming, as evidenced by an evening spent in lively conversation, debate, and story-telling. The guestroom where I stayed has a super-comfortable bed and an ensuite bath. If you want to be hosted by some wonderful Scots, don't miss the chance to stay here.

  • The accommodation of Magaret is highly recommended. Magaret was very hospitable and introduced us to the family and their guests upon our arrival. She offered us beer and wine, to take a seat in the winter garden and if we want to get something to eat, to eat it in the kitchen or in the conservatory. The room (and the whole house) was very clean and nicely decorated. We lacked nothing. We felt very comfortable and would check in again at any time.

Charming cottage all on ground floor- totally self-contained with own front door. It has a pretty patio area with bistro table and chairs to enjoy in good weather. Situated just 30 minutes from Edinburgh, 40 minutes from Glasgow and within easy reach of the Scottish Borders, the cottage makes the perfect base for exploring. Yet, despite its proximity to these key tourist attractions, the accommodation enjoys a quiet, rural location in South Lanarkshire, close to Carnwath, Biggar and Lanark.
Ampherlaw Farmhouse's lovingly restored and converted barns, dating from the 19th century, now provide luxury self catering accommodation for 2 people, making it the ideal country retreat for a relaxing holiday or romantic escape to the countryside. The accommodation has been tastefully converted in keeping with its Listed Building status, with thick, Scottish sandstone walls and traditional wooden sash and case windows . The cottage comprises an enormous double bedroom with two armchairs by the woodburning stove within the bedroom, a big ensuite bathroom with bath and overhead shower, a huge dining room furnished with antiques and a fully equipped kitchen. All bed linen, towels and bathrobes are provided by us (changed weekly for longer stay guests), and the price includes all heating, electricity and linens, a welcome pack of local produce such as milk, bread, butter, eggs, fruit and biscuits, along with tea, coffee, sugar and fresh orange juice, as well as a starter pack of logs, coal and kindling for the stove.
Set in beautiful rural Lanarkshire and with stunning views over Tinto hill, Ampherlaw Cottage is perfectly peaceful, yet within easy reach of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and the Scottish Borders.

The Wi-fi works really well too. Location is beautiful, out in the countryside but not far from Lanark and other towns and is a perfect base for exploring the region. We would highly recommend it.

  • I would recommend this cottage it’s fantastic. Really clean, comfortable and cosy. Linda greeted us with home baking which was delicious and an excellent touch. Freshly laid eggs from the hens and a warm welcome from Carla the dog. I’ll definitely be back. Xx

  • The cottage is simply wonderful. The host, Linda & family are very convenient for any issues, right next door and nothing is too much trouble. My 5yrs old loved the open space in the garden, the farm life and Carla the friendly dog. we will be back to stay and highly recommend this cottage for peace and tranquil settings.

  • Without a doubt one of the best hosts/stays we've had. Spotlessly clean, everything you need is there, host was super welcoming and made us feel right at home! I felt like I had known linda for years! Lovely cosy property in beautiful surroundings. I especially liked the fresh flowers on arrival and Linda had even made us afternoon tea! We had our 1 year old with us and Linda couldn't have made it easier providing travel cot, high chair and went out of her way to find us a car seat too. Above and beyond. Will be back next year we hope! Xx

  • Wow, this pretty cottage was absolutely stunning! Inside, it is furnished beautifully and everything you could possibly need has been provided for. Linda, the owner, was fantastic and did everything she possibly could to make our stay an enjoyable one, including baking us some delicious cakes and giving us freshly laid eggs for breakfast. The only downside to our stay was that we weren’t there longer!

  • We had a great stay in Linda's house. The house is lovely, everything is new, stylish and rooms are very clean. The kitchen is cozy and fully equipped, with a lovely view to the garden. The heating is easy to adjust and it works perfect. In a bedroom the bed is big and very comfortable. Linda's house is located in a peaceful place, it is perfect to relax and enjoy the nature. Linda is a great host, easy to communicate and it was nice to met her in person. We would for sure recommend Linda's place to visit!

  • Linda & Dave were great hosts and made us feel welcome from the very start. The cottage has everything you need and is a perfect home from home. We were greeted by Linda on arrival who had baked some lovely and divine cakes, Linda even provides some breakfast essentials to get you started and a lovely vase of fresh flowers. In the bathroom was a complimentary toiletries basket incase you have forgotten anything. It's the little things that make you feel welcomed. We had a lovely few days here, hopefully next time we have better weather.

  • A Beautiful, well equipped and comfy cottage. Linda has thought of everything and is the perfect host - helpful, attentive but not over bearing, I truly felt like Linda really wanted us to have a lovely relaxing time, which of course, we did. The afternoon tea with home made cakes on arrival was just brilliant - not only a great host but a proper baker too 👍👍 lovely cottage in a lovely setting and so convenient for us. Would recommend a million times. Thank you
