A super great and very clean apartment right on the water. Very lovingly and modernly furnished. Everything you needed was there. The kitchen in particular was very well equipped and you could prepare great food yourself. The bus stop into town is only a 5-minute walk away. Ricardo is a nice and very friendly host. Communication was very easy. Had the apartment not been rented out again after us, we would have stayed longer.

This place was ADORABLE! Very clean, the apartment is updated and stylish. It’s right on the water, which made for a nice view. It’s very conveniently located with plenty of things around. Andre's place was perfect for my husband and I to spend the night after a show at the College Street Music Hall. The location could not have been better - just a couple blocks from the Crowne St Garage, the Music Hall, and tons of restaurants and bars (we had a delicious meal and margaritas at Geronimo's). The king size bed was very comfy, and the whole place was very modern and clean. We'll definitely keep it in mind the next time we catch a show in New Haven!

This is the perfect getaway for anyone thinking of escaping day to day life. Sometimes you can be going through the motions and not even realize it. Every detail was well thought out by the extremely kind hosts, Christine and Greg. The place was super clean, very unique, and had it's own personality. Tons of places to go visit, and the town itself is awesome! Looking for food? Visit Marketplace, very good food and drinks. We'll be back for sure.

This is a beautiful guesthouse in an even more beautiful setting. Overlooks a pretty pond with nice landscaping. Is very private. Everything is extremely comfortable and very clean. Christine is very nice and asked several times if we needed anything. We will be staying here again!

One of the best stays in CT!!!! The airbnb is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city, isolated from the noise and busyness. The place is a quaint guest house that is full of nice aesthetic details and touches. The place was fairly easy to find and Christine (our host) met us in person. The airbnb was extremely modern with a lot of windows to allow light in. This place is a perfect retreat for couples, friends, and even family!! There were two heaters (one in the living room and one in the bedroom), and the bathroom floor was also heated. Christine (our host) was extremely kind and made us feel at home. The place was stocked with pillows, coffee, towels, and everything that you would need for your stay. I would highly highly recommend this place to anyone trying to stay at a cozy location. Communication was extremely easy as Christine responded immediately. This place has definitely set the bar high for us for future airbnbs!!

I had a fantastic time at Christine and Greg’s guest house. The furnishing is extremely warm and welcoming, the view is great, and both Christine and Greg were very welcoming. I hope to be able to come back again soon!

David’s place was amazing. It looks just like the pictures. The outdoor patio was our favorite. It has an elegant European feel and of course staring at the ocean is just amazing. The inside decor is nicely styled. The fireplace is romantic and cozy. We would definitely stay again! Also David himself is a very laid back, chill person which also added to the great experience.

This home has a spectacular view - we drank wine outside in JANUARY! The studio space has all you need for a cozy weekend for 2: wine glasses, a fire place, and a view! The home was very clean. New fixtures within the space, especially the bathroom. (The shower is exquisite!) David is a great host, gave recommendations, and was responsive with communications. We'd love to visit again!

The apartment was neat and had plenty of kitchen supplies. They also had conditioner for the shower, which is great because I don't travel with mine. I was working at Lockwood Farm during my stay, and it was perfectly located for me. The apartment was also close to tons of food options and to Sleeping Giant State Park. I would book again.

AirBnb wants to know how this stay met my expectations. The thing is, I’ve been here twice before; my expectations are so high they couldn’t possibly be exceeded. The hosts have provided everything you could possibly think of as well as a number of things you might never have thought of. The bed is comfy, the sheets are incredibly soft, and the space is so welcoming. Honestly, the only thing wrong with this space is that so many people book it, it’s not always available when I want it. Which may not matter to you, but it’s pretty darn important to me.

This has been my best experience with an Airbnb hands down. The Host was amazing and went above and beyond to make the weekend and stay extra special!

I've been staying in airbnb's around New Haven for the past 4 years and Paul's place is definitely my favorite! The area is safe and convenient to many grocery stores and restaurants. There is plenty of space in the apt for 4 ppl and it is clean and bright with a very charming outdoor patio area with a view of the river. It is also an OUTSTANDING value. It is by far the best for your money in the area!

Linzi’s place was the perfect spot for a quick work trip to New Haven! It was close to the city but far enough away that you can get some peace and quiet. It was easy to find and the off street parking was nice! I would definitely stay here again

We really enjoyed our stay in Linzi's home. The downstairs of the Victorian is a full apartment, very pretty and comfortable. The view was also excellent as the sun set over the water. Linzi was easy to coordinate with and her family upstairs was quiet. The whole stay was easy and comfortable -- just what I want from my airbnbs.

The little boat house is lovely! Tiny but very close to the main house and all the things you need. We had a lovely time and already want to come back!

This is such a special location. Very relaxing. The houseboat is a cute little hideaway. Take some time to hike around the area. It’s lovely.

The houseboat was a great stay! It's not actually floating on the water, but sits its pontoons on the edge of the pond. It has a wonderful patio and the inside is cozy and protected from the elements, while you still experience the peaceful nature outside. The houseboat is very close to the stone barn which has easy access to the kitchen, wifi, bathrooms, and showers which was a big plus. There are benches and chairs around are wonderful to relax in (and play with the cats that wander around). The extended property is beautiful! We walked along the river and hiked up to the summit and fairy gazebo which has excellent views! Definitely recommend. James was an excellent host! He was friendly and helpful, and he definitely made sure our stay was pleasant.

My husband and I had our honeymoon at the farm and had a blast!! We enjoyed conversations with the rotating cast of characters who live and visit the farm, walks along the serene Moss Mountain, and watching wildlife. The houseboat was extremely charming and cozy. The bathroom and kitchen are separate from the houseboat, but less than a minute walk. Bill and James were very friendly, interesting, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We’re already planning our next stay at Sticks and Stones Farm.

What a beautiful space to collect your thoughts! Sticks and stones was the perfect relaxation my mother and I needed from our daily lives. Sitting in the screen porch listening to frogs every night with candlelight was so relaxing. It's the perfect spot if you enjoy quiet or need some inspiration for art. The best and most unusual part was waking up with llamas walking past your window hahaha. If able, I do recommend the hike to the top to see moss mountain and the fairy lookout. Very beautiful and quite magical with the unique structures on the hike. The owners respected our private time but were also very accommodating when we had any questions. Lovely staff and lovely place.

This is a truly unique and amazing place, and the staff is so well suited to enhancing the peaceful, fun-loving vibe. I stayed on the houseboat (which is not actually floating, just close enough to marshes to hear the frogs jumping in the water along with the peaceful sound of a small and gentle waterfall), and Ii you're not sure how you feel about the rustic cabins and their location further up the mountain, I highly recommend staying on the boat for a few days to check things out. Boat is located conveniently to parking and the stone barn, which is the hub of the entire place. Convenience (nearby bathroom with shower, large commercial kitchen, wifi) AND amazing solitude (after 3 pm! summer camp takes place on the property til then, but I found the sounds from the campers to be joyful and energizing!) The bed on the houseboat is comfy, and while I was travelling solo, I felt completely safe and secure on this magical property.

Great "camping" for cityfolk/beginners! Since I'm not experienced in the outdoors, I liked having a roof over my head and access to a kitchen/bathroom/etc. Nice to have lots of friendly people nearby too, just in case. The riverboat house is peaceful and rustic - enjoy the relaxing view of the pond and waterfall.

You need a break, you need to relax, you need some fresh air, I’ll recommend you this place. This place is just incredible, the cabin is soooo beautiful, those people are so nice, everything was perfect. I want to go back as soon as I can

I stayed at Julia's for five weeks and it was a home away from home. Julia is an exemplary host, who really meant it when she said, "Make yourself at home." I strongly recommend her place to anyone looking for somewhere for an extended stay in New Haven. Her house is within easy reach of Downtown, even if you don't have a car: buses run fairly regularly from outside her house or a ten-minute walk away at the top of the street. Her kitchen is really well-equipped, and completely at your disposal, so catering for yourself is totally feasible (key tip: the nearest supermarkets are just a single bus ride away, either Elm City Market in Downtown or the Stop & Shop off Whalley Avenue (for the more budget option)). I really appreciated how Julia encouraged me to make full use of the place: whether cooking in the kitchen, working at the dining room table, reading or watching tv in the living room, or using the downstairs bathroom. The room I stayed in is at the back of the house, overlooking the yard, and is nice and quiet; virtually no traffic noise and perfectly private.

Julia and Peter are the best hosts one can ask for! They were extremely generous and friendly and staying at their beautiful house was simply great. You will find everything you need, the room is nice, the bed very comfortable, the kitchen kitchen equipped with all you might need and if you fancy a walk by the sea, that is just minutes away.

What a beautiful home! The house may be older, but the interior is very well designed and decorated. The downstairs bathroom is so fun. The host is very responsive and friendly. I would definitely stay here again. The two cats are extremely well-behaved.

Julia's home is lovely! My friend and I stayed for a night to attend a wedding in nearby Branford. In a rush to get ready for the wedding, we so appreciated how helpful Peter was in getting us the iron and hair dryer we needed! We felt very welcomed and had everything we needed.

As a young couple looking for a cozy weekend getaway, this ended up being the perfect choice. Between the decor, the sparkling cleanliness, and extra little touches here and there, this Airbnb is well worth a booking. The hosts are easily contacted for info and assistance and do everything they can to ensure guests feel welcome and attended to, while at the same time ensuring complete and absolute privacy. The home is secluded and the surrounding wooded area is beautiful. The town of Shelton and neighboring areas are easily reached and we were provided tons of information on local places to eat, relax, and hike. Highlight of the stay was relaxing in the hot tub at night, overlooking the woods and surrounding town below. When we got out to the porch containing the hot tub the lights were on and low, the hot tub was running, and every curtain in the entire home was drawn to respect our privacy. Some airbnbs are an extra space people rent out for some extra cash, but that’s not the case here. These are people that take pride in providing a comfortable stay for their guests and we will certainly be back.

Pat and Gabe's place was a peaceful spot for a getaway weekend. We were greeted at the door and given a tour when we arrived, and Pat and Gabe were quick to respond whenever we reached out. If you're looking for a relaxing place to stay in, this spot is homey and comfortable, with lots of books, games, a trail, hot tub, and a s'mores kit. If you're planning to explore the area, there's a ton to do within a few miles of the Airbnb, and the hosts provide several recommendations on their website, including restaurants, hiking trails, museums, and more. We hope to come back again!

Amazing stay! Pat and Gabe were very friendly and made check in a breeze. They even had orange juice and milk for the next morning to make the morning easier, as well as a towels! A true 5-Star experience! Enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and loved the space! I look forward to returning in the summer to take advantage of the pool and hot tub!! This was a great stay! Very relaxing with plenty of privacy. Easy 10 minute car ride from the metro north--very accessible. Great place to relax indoors with a great TV and/ or go for a little hike. The Deer Park trail is a must--easy 90 minute hike with great views of the water.

The Barn is truly idyllic - even more gorgeous than the pictures show, beautifully cared for, cozy and stylish all at once. The location is lovely and restful - this is a perfect weekend/weekday getaway! It truly will exceed your expectations, and Davis is the greatest host anybody could wish for.

Awesome house with a lot of space. We didn't need to utilize it but it's nice having rooms on separate floors with its own living room space. The house is beautiful as well as the neighborhood. There is a river that runs behind the house to the lake down the road, it was a nice walk. Do yourself a favor and enjoy the fire pit out there! And then relax in the bathtub. The shower is amazing also! We had an issue with a window and Davis was very prompt in responding to me and getting it fixed. Definitely will be the Airbnb I book if we come back to this area.

Davis's house is really wonderful. We are frequent travelers and we love NYC and we usually make getaways to some nearby state to know and experience other ways of living. I write in Spanish to be more precise in what I want to tell ... I hope Davis can translate it as well as possible. We were 4 nights with my family. Every place in the house is charming, the rooms, bathrooms, dressing rooms, desk ... every space with unique details and everything you need is there, available. The living and kitchen are dreamed, the photos do not reflect the perfect style. One of our children is a musician and the piano sounds perfect. Each room has its TV with entertainment system which allows the translation of languages. The exterior is beautiful with a stream that crosses the back of the house. We made a fire on a cold afternoon and used his grill. It is a house to stay, walk for a while on the beaches and forest park and cook some specialties of Trader Joe. I recommend to travelers that in addition to enjoying NYC, relax a few days in Davis's barn. Greetings from Argentina.

This barn is so incredibly charming! We loved everything about the place. Our favorite was the basement, where we could fit 7 of us comfortably on the couch/chairs at night & just relax. Everything was wonderful and Davis was very responsive and welcoming.

This place is even better then what you see in pictures. It makes me wanna live there. It's so comfy and smells so good from the second you open the door. I followed every tip of tours and restaurants. It's the best Airbnb experience I've had. Barb and Jonah answered me very quickly. My partner and I were very impressed about the details and technology(we felt we were in a hotel room). We were looking for some resting days and we enjoyed them so much.

Loved staying here! Its in a gorgeous location with beautiful views. The house is lovely, spacious, clean and very welcoming and comfy. I didn't have a car, so was limited to the three venues open for food/drink (the fourth was closed for the season) - which were only a three min walk away and great! There is a liquor store too, but no convenience store/local store for snack/groceries. So make sure you take what you need with you (otherwise be prepared to take a cab). Would stay again!

Loved this cozy cottage by the water! Views were outstanding - I took a ton of pictures! Perfect size for the two of us. We caught a great live band down the road at The Stand & delicious steamers for dinner at Lennys- also right down the road from the cottage. Was really a lovely stay!

Great stay. Only good things to say, this little house is perfectly laid out, was very clean and comfortable. I loved that it had everything we could want (from spices to puzzles, piles of towels..). Terry answered all my questions immediately. The kitchen has everything you could want to cook big meals. The place is better than the pictures even, the master bedroom is huge and lovely. Jacuzzi tub was great fun. Short walk to a lovely beach. Lenny's restaurant practically across the road. Only glitch is that I had a bit of a struggle getting the key to work a couple of times, but Terry was really helpful. Highly recommend this Airbnb!

After using Airbnb for our vacations overseas, we rented Teresa's house to give us extra space for family visiting for the holidays. She was very responsive, check-in was easy, and the house was clean and convenient. It was just what we needed. As a Branford resident, I'm sure it would prove to be a great spot for a summer holiday.

This is a lovely, comfortable, very clean home close to the beach. The master bedroom is huge with lots of closet and dresser space. The bathroom has tons of extra towels and extra toiletries. That is so appreciated. The kitchen has spices and condiments so you don’t have to spend money buying these. We were here in late November so didn’t do any beach activities but we really enjoyed having coffee and breakfasts by the green along the Main Street of Branford. We would definitely stay here again.

Timothy's space looks exactly as pictured. But what you don't see is the incredibly comfortable bed, relaxing shower, quiet seclusion, and the perfect place to get away while still located just s few minutes to town. Timothy was available without being intrusive, which was appreciated. And check-in/check-out was smooth. Thank you for a great stay!

Timothy's place is wonderful in all aspects: clean, cozy, well-appointed, and secluded yet close to everything. The pictures showcase the apartment perfectly, including the thoughtful design and natural light. Definitely one of the most spotless rentals I've ever stayed in. Very easy access to I-95 and coastal Connecticut. Timothy was also a fantastic, quick communicator. Looking forward to staying here again on a future trip to the New Haven area.

If you want a quaint and quiet place to get away, this is THE spot. In such an ideal location as it’s not too far off the beaten path, but just far enough that you feel peacefully secluded. Beautiful views, beautifully designed home. What’s more is that you get great communication from Tim. He’s on top of making sure everything is okay, I felt that he really cared about us having a flawless trip. Would recommend undoubtedly, and would definitely return.

Amos was very welcoming and helpful. It's a reasonable 12 minute walk to the university and to downtown businesses. This older apartment was warm and had all necessary supplies.

Rustic, cozy apartment in older house right near Wesleyan campus. Very comfortable bed and great shower pressure. Could hear neighbors in other parts of the building, but overall is a very quiet spot. I never met Amos in person but he was a great communicator and flexible with my arrival time, which I really appreciated.

The check in was super easy, the room was clean,bed amazingly comfortable, private, bathroom right across the hall, tv with Netflix. The dome is absolutely wonderful. The area and property is calming and perfect for people who love the outdoors. Plenty of blankets provided as well as portable lighting since there is no electricity. Clean bathroom and friendly hosts.

The geodesic dome is exactly as described, and the Litchfield area is wonderful. Robert is a great host, and the shared spaces at the farmhouse are friendly and welcoming.

Getaway Heaven!!!!!

This was such a fun and unique experience! The dome was very clean, and well prepared for our stay. Robert was extremely helpful, and even gave us some fresh tomatoes from the farm, which were delicious! We would definitely recommend staying here!

Robert's place was a cozy, relaxing getaway for the weekend. We loved the glamping-style of the dome, and being surrounded by nature. We also spend an afternoon at Bantam lake, a beautiful spot that's only about 15 mins away from the place. Would definitely recommend the dome to anyone looking to get away for a weekend to relax!

Connie’s place far exceeded any expectations we may have had. The best way to describe it is I felt like we were staying in a life-sized fairy house. From the white lights around the plants on the deck, to the rock stacks to the sound of gushing water from the brook. Even more peaceful than the ocean. There were snacks, drinks and a special birthday cake to welcome us. Connie’s home was cozy and and tastefully decorated, with unique little reminders throughout that all is possible if you Believe. It truly was a beautiful get-away!

Connie’s home is a wonderful getaway. I stayed in the cottage at the end of December and it was filled with Christmas spirit everywhere I turned. If you love Christmas, you’ll love to stay here around the holidays. If you don’t love Christmas, you probably will by the time you check out. The home was cozy but had just enough space for myself, my husband, and my 1 year old. Everything (kitchen/bathroom/etc.) is newer and clean. I especially enjoyed stepping out onto the deck to drink coffee and listening to the rushing water of the nearby brook. The cottage also has fast WiFi, two TVs, and a Google Home. We could not ask for for more. Can’t wait to return.

Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway. It's far enough from the center of Guilford to feel like you're truly getting "away from it all", but it's also close enough so you can spend time in town without thinking about driving for too long. The amenities were so nice, and the cottage was so quiet and peaceful.

Connie’s place was better than expected! Her space is a perfect getaway, right down the street from a hiking trail and near lots of vineyards. There is a gorgeous brook outside the house and Connie left a wealth of local resources, wine and cheese along with milk for coffee in the fridge. If you’re looking for a quiet homey home away from home - this is the spot for you!

Great place to stay! We were attending a concert at the college street music hall, uber was about $8 from Neville’s place. The code entry was perfect and super easy to understand. There’s a pasty shop just around the corner which was delicious!

This place is just a stones throw from all the major landmarks in downtown. Excellent place for students and job traveller's. I came here and stayed for a week and Aly is a great human being who will talk to you as if he knows you from ages. Great experience. His instructions are mind blowing in airbnb.

Wonderful and quaint New England house with a kind, accommodating, and welcoming host. The walk to Yale and downtown New Haven is easy and short, and the security of the house made me (a single woman traveling alone) feel very safe and comfortable. The house is laid out similarly a very nice student hostel, with common areas and bathrooms, but private and secure rooms for individual guests, each with a name, theme, comfortable beds and ample storage. There is access to laundry/iron, kitchen, and living spaces, great internet, and Aly was kind enough to let me use the printer as well. The posting is honest about it being a shared home with no frills, so don’t expect a pristine and untouched 5star hotel, but a well-loved and lived in space that is safe, comfortable, and budget-friendly. I don’t normally leave reviews but really enjoyed my experience and hope to come back on my next trip to New Haven!

Convenient location

Though it is no-frills, it was easy to find what you needed as everything is spelled out for you. The room was nice and warm. Comfy bed. Lived-in but really clean. Checking in and out was a breeze. Aly was very responsive. Yale within walking distance.

I def recommend Aly's place! It is perfect for a short stay. Probably one of the closest Airbnb to the university. The toilets were clean and Aly is a quick responder. The place includes a massive amount of security protections, such as cameras and walk-in codes, which some people might find intimidating, but I've found restful.

Quick and very professional responses. I came to Yale on a very very cold day. The place is exactly as it described and photoed. The first night is too cold even including the provided mobile oil heaters in the bedroom. When the host realized that, they secretly raised up the thermostat to 90 ( not 75 l set up ) so the room could be heated enough, which is a sweet move. I think they are sweet hosts not showing through language. The pillows someone mentioned in previous comments are improved. Do read through the rules and listing before booking.

Gail is, simply put, the consummate hostess. The cottage is wonderful and the hospitality is even better! This is a cant miss experience for anyone looking to explore Guilford and the surrounding area.

Great place to decompress with no TV. WiFi included does still keep you connected with the world. Lovingly funky but really well equipped for an extended stay. Three in-wall heater systems keep everything toasty in spite of almost no insulation. The unleashed dog beach is great given almost no public parks anywhere close allow dogs.

Gail’s cottage is adorable. It looked even nicer in real life than in the photos. It is pretty spacious, super clean, comfortable, and cute. The decoration and extra touches are thoughtful. The location is lovely. It’s right by the water and in quite a private and quiet area, which we found great for relaxing. Gail was very easy to communicate with. She left some friendly and hospitable notes and instructions. I would not hesitate to recommend this place.

The cottage was perfectly adorable. Everything about it exceeded our expectations, and we definitely plan to head back next year to experience even more of Guilford. The cottage was clean, exceptionally organized in terms of amenities (including a binder that laid out details of the rental as well as all the area had to offer)—with a hand-drawn map of the vicinity so we’d know where to go to access the local options—and every aspect of communication was top-notch. The only hesitation we have in recommending the place is that we don’t want everyone to know how completely perfect our experience was, because we absolutely plan to rent again and want to make sure there’s some availability!

Loved loved loved staying here! Gail was amazing, very attentive and response time was fast. She had a list of multiple local places, stores and day trip tips. My husband and I had a nice dinner on the patio with a view of the coast. The place was clean, very cute and super cozy. My favorite part would be the reading nook area. Spent a good portion of the night there with the fairy lights on, reading one of the books Gail had provided. Will definitely stay here in the future.

The Cottage at Indian Cove is a wonderful hiding place. Gail is an excellent host and you will find that the cottage is just as described. It is a quiet and serene place with lovely options for day trips or to just do nothing besides read a good book and stick your toe in the water.

This was our second stay at Gail's place and likely won't be our last! We enjoyed the fire pit 2 nights in a row. Our dog was welcomed with no questions asked! The cottage is always super clean. We love the small space while also feeling like a home! The screened in porch is our favorite. We love the short walk to the dog friendly beach. We will be back!

A quiet neighborhood with a short walk to a private beach/cove. This charming cottage was perfect for 2 people. While the host lives just steps away and can help with any issue that might come up, she will also respect your privacy. Extras were plenty of drinks in the fridge, fresh fruit, snacks and a few spices in the cupboard. Our favorite was the beautiful terrace to sit out on for coffee in the morning or for an evening glass of wine. It is tucked away on a hill with a shared driveway and handy to all Guilford attractions. The best endorsement I can give is, we plan to book it again next year!
