My girlfriend and I stayed for Valentine’s Day. The location was incredible, as it is right between two great wineries (less than 10 minutes to each). The room was nice with thoughtful touches. The service was great and Bonnie made our stay very personal, which we appreciated. We would definitely recommend this to a friend and stay again in the future!

Lovely place! Very welcoming & friendly and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip. Had a nice little book of local places to go and was more than happy to discuss things to do. Breakfast was amazing! Very accommodating to everyone's likes/dislikes/allergies. The house is beautiful and has a lot of little touches to make sure you have everything you may need or want!

Our entire stay at The Vaiden Inn was beyond exceptional! Bonnie was a wonderful host who had everything you could possibly need if you forgot something at home and had plenty of snack/drinks provided. Breakfast was great and so was conversation with Bonnie! The rooms were just as shown in the pictures and super comfy beds. Everything you would want at a B&B...we will definitely be back if ever in the area again! Thanks so much Bonnie for making our stay a great one!

My family loved staying at Brad’s place wish we could extend our stay. We definitely recommend if you are looking for a great place close enough to everything but still get your privacy.

The home and property are much more spacious than the pics reveal. Coming down from MI, we needed a place to celebrate Christmas with our families in King William and Williamsburg and this home fit the bill perfectly. We were able to enjoy Christmas dinner for 14 people and between the two tables with leaves, we accommodated everyone comfortably. The player piano was a nice surprise and we used it to sing carols. The nearby recycle center made it easy to get rid of all the Christmas wrapping too 😊! Brad was a great host and very responsive to all our questions and needs. We’ll definitely be back.

Brad's house was the backdrop for a very memorable weekend for us. The property is fun with woods and even a small lake nearby. It's in a great location, off the beaten path but close to major attractions and shopping.

Me and my family had a great stay! The house had so much more room than we expected. I cannot even begin to tell you how large the home is, so if you want a location to have a family gathering this place is perfect. I wish we would have been able to enjoy more of the outside, we saw deer everyday out front. I can't imagine how beautiful it is in the summer. There were lots of toys, books and a playroom my 3 year old granddaughters absolutely loved. I read a previous review before we visited that said there was no "cable". So I was prepared to be TV free, but there is WIFI that works great! I had my laptop so I was able to stream shows. There is also a DVD player and movies, so you might want to bring some of your favorites to watch! Overall we had a great time and the place was so spacious and relaxing.

Brad's place was clean, extremely spacious and very peaceful. Great value for the area. Easy 20-25 min drive to Williamsburg and nearby attractions. We enjoyed the quiet nights at the edge of the forest. There were four of us but the house could easily sleep six. Weather was a bit blustery during our stay but the outdoor deck would be fantastic for warmer evenings in the spring, summer or fall. All in all, highly recommended.

This was a great place for a great price! Me and a group of friends rented this space for a trip to Busch Gardens and some winery tours. The location is wonderful; only 20 minutes to Busch Gardens and very close to some local vineyards. We loved how private it felt as well as how spacious it was. The host was very responsive. We appreciated the cleanliness of the home. The deck was a huge plus and it was very relaxing to sit out in the mornings and have a nice cup of coffee. I will definitely be recommending this place to friends; especially ones with kids or who need a lot of space. I would definitely utilize this place again in the future.

Great place to stay for a trip to Williamsburg! Out in the country so nice and quiet, but a short drive to Bush Gardens and Williamsburg.

The house is very spacious and super clean. We've never met Brad but we felt welcomed and based on their house I think that they are warm people full of good energy. The kitchen is very well equipped, you have everything you need to prepare delicious food. Bedrooms are very comfortable. We had great time and are very grateful that we could spend some time in that house.

You will love the ease of staying at Brets. He and his daughter are fantastic hosts. The private off street parking and private entrance are a bonus. The bed is very comfortable and the house is walking distance to eateries and a Walgreens. I would stay again if I find myself in the area

We spent most of our time in the hot tub and just lounging around because it just felt so much like home. The place was spotless once we arrived and just the overall experience was fantastic.

Bonnie's place is a wonderful weekend getaway spot. Perfect retreat from the big city and we enjoyed it very much! We were there for a relaxing Valentine's Day Weekend. We loved visiting nearby New Kent Winery and Colonial Downs. They even decorated the place a little with some cute Valentine's decorations that were extremely thoughtful! The fish in the fish tank are fascinating to watch--we enjoyed completing puzzles and watching movies in lieu of having cable. The hot tub is a must and was a great nightcap under the stars. The bathrobes were wonderful for this too! I'd recommend anyone who wants a weekend away from the hustle of life to book this Airbnb. So curious what itd be like during the summer with the nearby fishing and water. Wifi works perfectly for those moments we still wanted to be connected to the outside.

This was an amazing place to come and relax for a weekend getaway. It’s very tucked away and private. The home was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The hot tub is An absolute MUST at night under the stars! Bonnie was amazing and have a Birthday cake and candles waiting when we arrived (definitely made me cry). Wonderful hosts with friendly farm animals. They are very quick to respond for any questions you have. This is a great place to go if you want to get out of the city. We ended up going to Wahrani trail and York river state park for some good hiking. This is a prime location to relax.

This place was great, my husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Super cozy and just what we needed to get out of the city. The breakfast and coffee were delicious. My only complaint was the hot tub wasn’t working and the common area was a little too cold for my liking. Definitely recommend bringing slippers or warm socks because that floor was icy cold. Overall I recommend!

We recommend everyone come experience grateful meadows ! We stayed at the tiny cozy cottage and it was amazing. A great off the grid getaway ! Although we did take pictures of the beautiful place we spent most of are time without our phones connecting with each other and the animals.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Grateful Meadows! Jonathan and Victoria have a beautiful piece of land! As soon as we arrived we were given a tour of the property and got to meet all of their sweet animals. The cottage was beautiful and pristine inside and we had everything we needed to enjoy our weekend. The breakfast was delicious as well and had a personal touch. I loved interacting with their donkeys, Marley and Archer each morning. We will happily continue to support their cause and hope to return for another stay again in the future. I would recommend Grateful Meadows for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the country.

Wonderful retreat tucked away next to the York River. The house if very large, and it feels like you have your own private resort-style experience. There are a lot of thoughtful touches. Jim was super nice, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Highly recommended!

This is a great hidden gem! Julia really makes you feel at home and has anything and everything you would need. Breakfast is awesome! The location is perfect to get to lots of Virginia hotspots. It's also very relaxing and overall beautiful. This truly was one of my favorite Airbnb trips ever if I have to stay in Nova again this is my top choice!!

Sometimes you write a 5 star review even when the place is just ok, but this isn't one of this occasions. Everything about staying at Julia's was way above our expectations. The house was amazingly beautiful and comfortable, the room sparkling clean, and her hospitality and kindness the cherries on top of the cake. The house's location makes it a perfect weekend getaway from a big city such as DC, and all the amenities she offers (such as the hot tub or a boat ride on the beautiful lake) can make one not even want to leave the house (you should though, since nearby Williamsburg is a pretty jewel). We came back already looking forward to our next visit. Thanks so much once again, Julia!

Detailed directions were accurate and very helpful. The house is lovely, clean and thoughtfully stocked. A soak in the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a busy day of traveling. A breakfast spread with many food options and keurig coffee/other hot beverages was provided. I'd absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this beautiful lakeside retreat. Julia makes this place one of a kind! From the beautiful sunset boat ride, to the delicious breakfast, she really does think of everything you could need and then some. The rooms are so clean and the beds are super comfy, plus the hot tub and the pool table is a nice touch. 10/10 would deff recommend and would love to come back!

You can expect a clean amenity filled room. There was snacks, coffee, tea, water, and anything else one needs on an overnight stay. The rooms are decorated beautifully, and the place is immaculately clean. I want to go back when I can stay longer.

Jessica and Bonnie were great hosts! The Inn was beautifully kept, and there were thoughtful touches like soaps, toothbrushes, and a coffee and snack bar available to us. They were friendly and welcoming to our family while we were in town for Thanksgiving. We would highly recommend them!

Bonnie is a wonderful host with a beautiful B&B. We loved hearing the history of the inn and the town. My husband followed some of her suggestions and looked up other historic buildings. The entire place is wonderfully decorated, comfortable and very clean. We also appreciated the extra touches like coffee/tea/sodas and snacks and a mini-fridge in our room. It was great to hear about Bonnie’s plans for the future. Also convenient to Cumberland Hospital.

The Vaiden Inn was a lovely place to stay. The rooms were clean and ready for us upon arrival. Bonnie came out to our cars in the pouring rain with umbrellas to walk us inside! A very cute B & B with lots of thought put into it. We enjoyed having the snacks and drinks that were replenished all weekend. The beds were super comfortable! 6 miles from both the New Kent Winery and Saude Creek Winery. Good food right across the street at Colonial Kitchen. It made for a perfect girls weekend getaway. Bonnie was a very kind host!

Beautiful space with fantastic views. Easy rental, exactly as described, hosts were very responsive and helpful. Fire pit and grill were terrific. Really well appointed space-thought of everything you could possibly need. Internet/data speed is about what one would expect off the beaten path so if you want to binge Netflix on vacation probably download that ahead of time. Or just watch the fire and sunsets.

This home is in a very quiet location (at least in January!) overlooking the Chickahominy River. The views are amazing. We enjoyed a daily nature show with the Bald Eagles that roost next door. The hosts provide extras to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable and they are very accessible if questions arise. Couldn't have been more pleased with our stay.

Excellent stay at Dave & Georgia's home! Beautiful farm, excellent amenities, and they had snacks/cookies/beverages ready for us upon arrival. The guest home was well appointed and spectacularly cleaned. Their guest ratings are well earned and you won't be disappointed for a quiet and peaceful location with wineries and restaurants nearby.

Georgia and Dave are the super hosts with the most! They have often gone above and beyond when we forget something in our travels or a tiny issue pops up. The location is great for exploring Richmond/Williamsburg and quiet/relaxing when you need the rest. Bonnie was a fantastic host from the moment we got there up until our departure! The rooms were well stocked with snacks, water, sodas, etc. AND the dining room was always available for coffee, tea, and more snacks. Our rooms were also well stocked with bathroom supplies and anything else you could need if you forgot something from home! It was a very convenient location for attending my brother's wedding, just a 10 minute drive to the venue. We also enjoyed having breakfast provided and good conversation with Bonnie. Each room was well-decorated and had a specific theme. Lastly, the bedding was super soft and comfy! We will definitely be back if we find ourselves in this area again! Thank you Bonnie!

We had a great stay at Vaiden Inn. Bonnie was very hospitable and made the Inn very homey. Its rare that an Airbnb actually turns out to be a BNB with breakfast included! It came as quite a surprise and Bonnie's breakfast was delicious.

I have stayed at many Airbnbs over many years, but I can say that, hands down, Julia's was the best. Inexpensive, tons of amenities, and Julia was a natural host. My only fear in writing such a positive review is that this hidden gem will be too popular for me to book.

Julia and her husband were great hosts and have such a beautiful home! We had a full itinerary planned so didn't get a chance to take advantage of all the wonderful amenities but hope to come back to visit again. Our room had a nice view of the lake and was very clean and tidy. Communication was very quick and helpful when I inevitably got lost on my way there due to my poor sense of direction. Linda has an amazing home in a new neighborhood. Very clean, cozy and comfortable. The bed and bath were well lit and secure. I felt safe. Convenient off the interstate location, good parking. I had a restful night sleep. I will definitely consider staying again.

This cabin offers an incredible hideaway to reconnect with loved ones. The gorgeous view, fully stocked kitchen, indoor and outdoor firepits and cozy interior had us not minding the 30 degree temperatures. So clean and accommodating- I can't say enough about this little slice of Switzerland hidden just outside of Richmond. Thank you Brenda!

This house was mind blowing. The location was the best. We felt like we were off the grid. We were able to enjoy each other’s company. No laughs were considered too loud. My guests were asking about coming back again before we even got settled in good! I was able to check in a little early, which allowed for comfortable staggered arrivals. I loved everything about this place!

Seven friends and I get together each year in a different spot to celebrate Thanksgiving. This year, we ended up at Brenda’s cabin and it was perfect. The spot is peaceful but not too far from a town or Richmond proper. The house is comfy and open—it felt like we’d already spent a holiday together there when we walked in the door. We cooked up a feast, played games , and enjoyed the quiet and beautiful surroundings.

Hidden Haven is a cozy retreat and perfect getaway and close to nearby plantations where a lot of weddings are held. We had a lovely time with all newly renovated appliances and bathroom. Absolutely no complaints and Joyce is a wonderful host! Hope to stay here again in the future! Thanks!

Great place on the lake with an amazing view at all times of day or night. We filmed and photographed some nature scenes right from the comfort of the patio! There were all sorts of added pluses that we needed like a drawer of bandaids, a box of games, and ice in the freezer! Beds were comfortable after a full day of filming and production as we used this location as a filming production set. Can't say enough great things about this place and hosts overall! Loved it!

Lovely hosts and a cool location. The house was very nice, and the owners are very generous. We really enjoyed kayaking on the lake, and also spent a few hours around a nice fire in the outdoor fire pit using wood the owners provided. A very nice stay!

This house was beautiful with a lovely waterfront view. The host had everything needed for a vacation. (A fully stocked kitchen including coffee, plenty of space, etc.) There was a ton of outdoor furniture if you want to enjoy time by the lake. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a quiet peaceful place outside of Williamsburg. We will visit again.

It’s a perfect home. It’s spacious, clean, eclectic, kid friendly, adult friendly, clean, and convenient. I wish it was available during the summer but I’m sure the owners want to enjoy their summers there too. The River is such a beautiful touch. The hosts was amazing as well. Highly recommended!

Sparkling clean. Easy access. Great location. Terry is a supehost with the most hospitality. Was on a whirlwind business trip so didn't have time to really enjoy the relaxing, countryside location. The privacy level was perfect and the accomodations very inviting. A true gem in the country.

Another wonderful stay!

We went to Charles City for a wedding. Terry’s place was a very comfortable place for us to stay. It has all the amenities we expected and it was very clean and spacious. Terry made herself available and she was so thoughtful bringing us an iron board in case we needed it and even a paper fan for me to bring to the wedding since it was over 102F outside!

I will definitely come again! The space is perfect for a quiet getaway or a place to stay while working nearby. The information provided is all very accurate. Communication with Terry was easy, and she was very hospitable. The room was bigger than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The dogs are friendly and respect the guest space. The walk in the woods, the flowers, the garden, the clean rooms, well stocked bathroom and kitchen, and comfortable living area all made it a really nice stay.

Terry is a wonderful host and excellent communicator. She graciously walked us through the house even if it was little past check-in time. Her personal touches to an already beautiful location made us love our stay more! Highly recommend

The place is very stylish, clean and comfortable. We decided to extend our honeymoon for another day to continue exploring Williamsburg so all we needed was a place to relax and sleep. The space did the job for us and the host was available when needed.

Carol was incredibly warm and welcoming, going out of her way to make me feel at home and taken care of. The room and bathroom were comfortable and spotless and I enjoyed taking morning walks in the woods behind her home.

Hmmm what to say about Carol as I sit here munching on the brownies that she sent home with us.... She is a warm hostess, attentive and available, but super laid back: if you have to rush and around and have no time to talk - fine; if you have a day at the house and want to ride w her on the golf cart thru the back trails or go w her to buy farm eggs from the neighbor - she’s got you covered there too! 😁👍 Our room and the bathroom were super clean and comfortable. The surroundings were peaceful, and the town of Mechanicsville has whatever you need and is only abt 15 mins away. Enjoyed our time at Carol’s home. 😊

You will be well taken care of in an immaculate home of comfort and convenience. The bed mattress is EXCELLENT and about that i am quite particular.

my stay with carol was absolutely wonderful. the room was comfortable & cozy, beautifully decorated, and had everything one could ask for, even a rocking chair, exercise tapes, and colored pencils. everything is provided for in regards to bath, kitchen, etc. she is such a sweet and inspiring soul, i had so much fun getting to know her. we toured around her 10 acres of land, which is truly beautiful. a great place to go and relax. and her dog is just the cutest.

Very much enjoyed the weekend at Anne’s place! Just the right size for a weekend, and with everything we needed. The new screened in porch was amazing, and the deck (with gates to keep my dog in!) was lovely. Kitchen had everything we needed (and I love to cook!), and location was hidden away but not far from Williamsburg attractions.

Fantastic retreat on the water. Well appointed and comfortable, with a super host. We loved sitting out on the deck with the fire pit and a glass of red watching the sun set, even though it was a bit chilly.

We loved our stay at Anne's place! A beautiful location, with a great screened porch and deck to enjoy the view, a firepit to roast marshmellows, a dock to fish from, kayaks to get in a little exercise (ok - we did skip this, but they are available!). We enjoyed a nice relaxing weekend. Don't miss out on the boat ride to the Blue Heron for lunch or dinner! We really appreciated all the tips from Anne for the area.

It was a crisis and Anne to the rescue! Our son's wedding was all planned but the bridal house originally reserved had electrical problems. Lucky for all, Anne's place was available and she was great to work with as we all communicated on the bride's behalf (because she was preoccupied with the upcoming event.) It was all so smooth and we couldn't have been more relieved. Whew! what a save and the house was exactly as described.

Absolutely beautiful home in a secluded location overlooking the river. So peaceful and relaxing. An easy half hour drive to the sights of the area. When you come, make sure you allow some time just to enjoy the home

Such a wonderful house. Our room was nicely decorated and sparkling clean. We have a lovely view of the river. The bathroom was large and had complementary soaps and towels. The special touches like a welcome note and tasty treats really made us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend!

Moss Side Manor is so very charming. The space is immaculate, beautifully decorated and completely stocked with everything you could possibly need. We loved the separate space with the kitchen and all of the fireplaces and comfortable bed. It was such a cozy and relaxing weekend. We will definitely return.

This was our second stay at Moss Side Manor, and it was even better than the first. The house is in perfect shape, with an amazing kitchen, comfortable beds, and a pleasant living room. With the close proximity to Busch Gardens, and colonial Williamsburg, along with the overall relaxing location, we'll be returning in the future.

This was a perfect place for our family of 4 to spend our first Thanksgiving in Virginia. We loved the cozy fireplaces and even the separate kitchen! Our girls felt right at home and we felt like we had everything we needed! Thanks so much for providing a great place to stay!

We rented Moss Side Manor and Moss Side Cottage for some of our guests and ourselves for our special weekend. In my review I checked that the houses were what I expected them to be because I saw them in advance and knew they were going to be wonderful and they were indeed wonderful!!! They are gorgeous inside and outside. The grounds are simply beautiful. McKenize and Peggy were amazing! McKenize arranged an early check-in for us for both houses and she was quick to respond to texts/calls. We had a potluck rehearsal dinner at Moss Side Manor and it was such a lovely place for our friends and family to join together prior to the big day. I got ready at Moss Side Manor with my best friend and the beauty and warmth of the home blessed those moments. The day after we walked down the aisle was spent relaxing and enjoying the peace the Manor offers. One morning I awoke early and the fog was hanging over the fields with the morning light beaming through the clouds. Spectacular!!! If you want a special place to stay, both Moss Side Manor and Moss Side Cottage will give you that! Thanks McKenzie, Peggy, and the whole team!!!

The home is much better to see and experience in person than portrayed on AirBnB! The owners did a fantastic job renovating the entire house, and we thoroughly enjoyed viewing the artwork, antiques, and books on display throughout the home. The overall impression was that we were staying in a museum, with artifacts collected from the immediate area! Great views and sunsets from the front porch, modern kitchen and stately dining area were some of the many highlights, a must rent place!

This place is a hidden gem! The host Jim and Shannon make you feel right at home. They have lots of ideas of things to do and places to eat. The space is very open, clean and decorated nicely. The bed is very comfortable and it is a great private space for a couple to get away for a fun weekend, I would definitely stay again.
