  • Great location just outside of the city. Close to bus stops...Dave and Robin were quick to respond and very pleasant. The apartment was super clean and cozy.

  • Very clean and nicely furnished. Close to a main route into the downtown. Quiet neighborhood. Only caveat that dishes and cutlery were a bit sparse.

Our cozy tiny home is nestled on our working farm, surrounded by beautiful Pennsylvania pastureland. Giving you the opportunity to unplug without wifi or tv, we are ideally located just a couple minutes from downtown Lititz voted America's coolest small town in 2013, and only a short drive from historic downtown Lancaster which boasts great eateries, art, and entertainment.
Our Tiny House sits in the valley of our farm surrounded by trees and pastures. Our guests love that when you're at the tiny house you feel miles from everywhere but your only minutes from just about anything you could want! There is space outside the house for a fire, lawn games and outdoor living as well as scenic places to walk to.
We love how quiet things are around the farm. We sit back far off the road and there are a few neighbors but none are too close. At the Tiny House you'll feel like you're on a serene country getaway while being close to all the great food and entertainment you could want!
  • The tiny house was beautiful! Easy to spot wildlife, watch a cow lounging around, and not far at all from great bars and food places! Easy to get a glimpse into tiny house living opportunities too! House was beautiful, everything as advertised and more!

  • Comfy and cozy place to stay for the weekend! Very clean home and very nice hosts!

  • This tiny house is more spacious than it looks at first. It is in a good location for exploring the area.

  • The tiny house was adorable with the coziest atmosphere and in a great location. Matt and Monica were so accommodating and thoughtful. We had the most wonderful time and cannot wait to visit again!

  • The tiny house was everything and more than what we were expecting!!! I was really surprised with how much space there was inside! It can definitely sleep and accomadate 4 people comfortably. The pull out couch and the bed were comfortable as well. The interior design was simple, very clean, practical and yet, SUPER adorable!! I loved that they labeled the light switches. Thats not something anyone thinks of but it was very helpful! The location is very close to the downtown area (5-10 minute drive). The town had just enough cute shops and places to eat. Matt and Monica are great hosts! They answer all your questions quickly and they’re very accommodating to their guests. I love that they provide camping and Adirondack chairs to sit around a fire outside. All of our surroundings were very peaceful!! It was a perfect getaway for a night with my two best friends.

    Alexa2018-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful tiny house in a quaint location. We had a blast! Thank you, Matt and Monica.

    Bruce2017-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Check it out, if you're interested in a tiny house experience. Loved cooking in the kitchen, nice size fridge, coffee maker and beautiful loft for sleeping. It was warm and cozy and really had all the comforts of home. And the hosts left some great chocolates from a local chocolatier as a "thank you" for staying with them. Couldn't be happier with my choice of places to test drive tiny living! Thank you Matt & Monica for your wonderful hospitality!

Hi All! This 1st floor studio room is located near center city and just a few hundred yards from the Philadelphia Museum of Art with the famous "Rocky" steps! It has lots of accommodations and the location is perfect for exploring many of Philadelphia's main attractions. This is a hybrid listing so please be sure to read the entire description before booking! You may easily self-check-in/check-out with the electronic entry system.
The Unit: This studio room is located on the first floor of the building and it is the only unit on this floor. Its bathroom is located outside of the studio, immediately one door over, and it is private and exclusively used by this unit. The room has high ceilings, crown molding, a mini-fridge, a microwave, a dining area, a sitting area, WiFi, a TV, a ceiling fan and an electric fireplace. The unit is also appointed with fresh towels and sheets, extra pillows, a hair dryer, and an iron with ironing board. *Please note the unit's bathroom is located just outside the unit's door in the back of the shared hallway. However, the bathroom is private and used exclusively by guests of this unit. The bathroom is professionally cleaned between guests* The Building: This is a 1920’s, three-story, three-unit renovated historic brick building located approximately an 8-minute walk from the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the famous “Rocky” movie steps and 3-minute walk to Whole Foods. The Airbnb’s prime location is convenient, providing easy access to many other of Philadelphia's main attractions and public transportation, as well as a variety of eating establishments and shopping. A few of the attractions located between a 5 to 20-minute walk are: The Eastern State Penitentiary Museum, the Rodin Museum, the Barnes Foundation, Boathouse Row, The Franklin Institute, the Mütter Museum, the Comcast Center and The Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown. Also, the Spring Garden and Broad Street subway station is about 17-minute walk/0.8 miles.
A distinct district wedged between Center City and Fairmount proper, Spring Garden was originally built up to accommodate wealthy industrialists in the second half of the 19th century. The makeup and major draws of the neighborhood — there are multiple religious and educational institutions here — have changed dramatically since that time, but lucky for us, much of the architecture, placed under historical protection, remains in all its Victorian glory. Cordoned off by Spring Garden Street to the south, Fairmount Avenue to the north, Pennsylvania Avenue westward and Broad Street to the east, Spring Garden’s charming, sleepy feel is a byproduct of sitting north of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the hopping boulevard that features Philly’s first-rate Museum Row. Exciting development along each of Spring Garden’s borders suggests it’s a neighborhood poised for a renaissance of its own.
  • Great location, easy check in and very responsive hosts!

  • My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Brian and Jorge's place -- and the helpful, timely communication with the hosts. We were able to enjoy their place at a rate much less than the downtown hotels. The place is tastefully decorated -- just as shown in the picture. Having the bathroom outside the door (nothing fancy, plenty of hot water) was no problem. We never heard or saw others in the building so it felt like a nice getaway. There were a couple minor issues that I contacted Jorge on -- and he immediately responded and apologized for the inconvenience. (I definitely sensed that they were on top of the space and always wanted to ensure the guests were happy.) The fact that we were only there for a night was fine. The lack of closet space was no problem given we had no business meetings or events for which we would need to hang up clothes. (There is a hook on the door.) The shared coffee space has a Keurig and a selection of coffees, but you need to bring your water from the room in order to make your coffee. We followed Brian's advice and had dinner at the nearby Belgium Bar. It is a neighborhood place with an amazing menu of Belgian beer -- and really, really good food. The mussels were F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C and we even splurged on the homemade donuts for dessert. We'll be coming back to this place on one of our next trips to Philly. Parking was not a problem for us -- and Jorge sent us great recommendations on where to park, the costs, etc. Fortunately, we were able to park right out front. Since it is Philly, you need to bring your quarters. Fortunately, once we realized we had depleted our earlier supply, we were able to get some at a bank just beyond the Gulf gas station next door. In terms of street noise, there was some -- but I come to expect this in Philly no matter where I stay near center city. Our thanks to Brian and Jorge for a great stay. I understand why Brian is a super host based on their responsiveness and attentiveness.

  • Brian was a wonderful host, and the apartment was beautiful. Great location, clean, and easy to find!

    Jil2016-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • From beginning of booking to the end at checkout, Brian is genuinely a Superhost!!! This was me & my mom's first AirBnB experience and it was fantastic! I learned alot and now feel like a pro... ha! Brian communicated promptly with me throughout the booking and during our stay. Since this was my first experience, I had some learning curves like 'don't hesitate communicating with your host'! Brian is a very down-to-earth and super sweet guy. Brian's 1920's home is stunning, very clean and charming. Our first floor suite was perfect. His home is in the best location to all things cool in Philly especially The Rocky Steps/Statue! ;) Brian is accommodating... due to a late airline departure, he allowed us to stow our luggage so we could enjoy our last few hours in this awesome city! I hope to be able to come back to Philly soon & stay at Brian's home, again. The People of Philly were my favorite part of our vacation... Truly the city of brotherly LOVE. Brian, thank you so much for all you did for my mom and me! Best wish & peace, Brandy

    Brandy2016-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Brian's apartment is ideally located in the vibrant city of Philadelphia. Splendid museums (PMA, Rodin and Barnes Foundation) are a few hundred meters. The walk toward the city center is about half an hour and is very pleasant. The accommodation is nice and very comfortable. Everything is extremely clean. Thanks Brian and Jorge.

We consider this a more than good place to stay in a great location. 1 BR apt in a vibrant historic neighborhood. Neighborhood is home to many gardens, a coffee shop we operate and has great access to sports and concert venues, restaurants and downtown Pittsburgh. Easy access to/from airport/highways. PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept requests without a personal message and a complete profile including a bio and a minimum of two verifications.
If you are coming to Pittsburgh for a night, a weekend or something a little more extended we hope you will consider staying with us. Offered is a one bedroom/one bathroom apartment located in a Mexican War Streets Historic District row house built in the 1890's. Property is three units and owner occupied so you will have one unit to yourself, a nice neighbor and our attention as needed. We are open to accommodating one night stays, but weekend bookings must be for at least two nights. We do have a check in/check out time listed (After 4p/Before 11a) but we are willing to work with you on that if we have no incoming/outgoing guest on your first or last day. -Loft-esque bedroom with a new queen size real bed that sleeps two (window a/c unit, seasonally) and an actually comfy full-size futon in the living room. A quick word of warning that the stairs to the bedroom are a bit steep. Please refer to photos. -Wifi is available but can be spotty in the bedroom. -Eat-in, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast makings and some staples provided. -Parking is on street and most usually available. -You can borrow a our canoe (it is locked up on a boat rack on the river walk by PNC Park; only transport of paddles and life jackets is necessary). -You have babies? We have babies! We are kid friendly. Our kids will totally share their stuff so you don't have to pack as much. Items available include but are not limited to: a pack and play, a toddler mattress, kid bedding, stuffed animals, books, toys, bumbo chair, etc. -We have a dog. Speaking of dog, here are a few more things to be aware of... -The entry hallway leading up to the apartment is currently unattractive. We are working on it and hope you are not offended in the meantime. -This house is old and the first level flooring is original. Thus you may hear some noises from them and the basement (nothing obnoxious). These noises are your friends that are keeping you warm and water flowing. -The airbnb photographer did a really good . Almost too good. The space is nice and gets nice light but please know that the pictures might make it look 10% better than it is. More about the location: Within Walking Distance (WWD) WWD 1/2 mile range -The Mattress Factory: Installation Art Gallery -National Aviary -Children's Museum of Pittsburgh -Allegheny Commons Park -Dog Park -Zip Cars -Bus stop/Light rail -A coffee shop -A local corner store/deli carrying higher end food products and tasty deli sandwiches. -Rite Aid (in case you forget your tooth brush or want to impulsively buy a chocolate covered cherry in a check out line) -Restaurants that we can talk about when you get here, this includes one of the better Thai places in Pittsburgh, a killer BBQ place and Penn Brewery Brew Pub and Beer Garden. WWD 1 mile range -PNC Park: Home of the Pirates -Heinz Field: Home of the Steelers -The Warhol Museum: Home of Andy Warhol's art. -Stage AE -Hazlett Theater -Carnegie Science Center -Rivers Casino -Light Rail Station -Downtown Pittsburgh -Heinz Hall -Benedum Center -Point State Park -Near instant access to every major highway in every direction from Pittsburgh. Other Things Not Terribly Far Away -Consol Energy Center: Home of the Penguins (short and free light rail ride away) -The Strip District: Iconic old school market district meets new wave food and beverage. Everyone wins. -Great Pittsburgh Viewpoints: Mt. Washington Grandview, West End Overlook, Fineview. -Short and easy drives to Oakland (home to Pitt and CMU), South Side, East End (quickly upcoming area thanks to (website hidden)) north and south 'burbs and airport. We really hope you have a great experience in this sometime under-appreciated city and would love to make recommendations, provide you with a relaxing place to stay complete with some extra goodies (a local brew, tasty coffee and maybe a bicycle if desired) and a place that location wise puts you in great position to easily enjoy a lot of the great things about Pittsburgh with easy access to those things farther than a walk or bike ride away. We are also happy to leave you completely alone to do your own thing, if so desired, or meet somewhere in between.
We live in our neighborhood for many reasons. Among them are the human diversity, the arts, the park, the proximity to wonderful things that Pittsburgh has to offer and the sense of neighborliness. We hope you enjoy the same while you are here.
  • Outstanding neighborhood, close to art, sports, food and nightlife. The accommodations are first class and the hosts are knowledgeable and courteous. Highly recommended!

  • Definitely would do it again

    Aurelio2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Really cozy house and bed, with a nice backyard. It's within walking distance to a Pirates game (and a nice long walk to the incline). The neighborhood was quaint and quiet -- we would definitely book again with Belle and Frank.

    Stephanie2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great. Belle and Frank are lovely, thoughtful hosts. The location is super convenient for getting around the 'Burgh.

    Brad2016-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying in Belle and Franks's apartment. It's right in the heart of the North Side and walking distance to a lot of cool places and restaurants. The apartment itself was really nice, very clean, and immediately welcoming. They made sure to make us feel right at home, and even left fresh strawberries in the fridge...I would definitely stay here again!

    Lacey2016-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Frank is the coolest guy in town, easy going, funny and generous. He made our stay in his really nice apartment a highlight of our trip, the whole place was clean and cozy, fully equipped and the kitchen was stocked with many delicious goods; located in a charming neighbourhood from walking distance from many points of interests. Don't miss the Mattress Factory Museum.

    Juan2013-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Belle and Frank was everything we could have hoped for. We felt T home the whole time we were there. With all of the special touches like the snacks in the fridge, the kids toys and the hammock in the yard it felt more like staying at a friend's house than a rental. The neighborhood was great for walking around and exploring. A lot of good food and nice walks to the Warhol museum and Pirates game. We would definitely go back or recommend to anyone going to Pittsburgh.

    Nick2014-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great spot. Really nice place in a great neighborhood. Frank and Belle were really nice and their kids are adorable! Very quite, good sleep and an easy walk to Heinz field (we came a football game). They let us do a bag drop early which was super convenient. We were 4 people (2 couples) and truth be told, it might be a little small for 4 for anything longer than a weekend but honestly, We were very comfortable. Highly recommend this spot.

  • This cute, small space is centrally located in Rittenhouse. Perfect for two people as the pull out couch was, well... a pull out couch. Everything was clean and ready when I arrived. Michael left some nice snacks. Getting in and out of the unit is quite easy as he uses a keyless entry system. This is especially nice so as not to carry keys, and all guests can come and go at their leisure. Michael was responsive to my questions and accommodations. Would definitely stay again.

    Laura2018-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Michael was a great host! The place was clean and as described. Getting in and out was easy -- A great place to crash for a quick trip to Philadelphia.

    Freddy2015-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is truly worthy of a 5-star rating in every category. Michael was very detailed, timely, and cordial with his communication, the apartment is immaculately clean (most appreciated!), well equipped, in a fantastic location, and very reasonably priced. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Philly.

    Joanne2016-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! We walked literally everywhere we went. The apartment was adorable and all the extra niceties were much appreciated (I can't go without my coffee in the morning!!) The apartment was easily accessed. I couldn't have asked for a better set-up!

    Jennifer2016-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Michael's apartment was blissful. The arrangements were effortless; the location is outstanding; the cleanliness and organization of the apartment is precise; and the checkout procedure was a breeze. This is an apartment that I will highly recommend to all my friends in New York who desire a relaxed getaway in a comfortable historic Philly neighborhood. I hope to go back soon! Thank you Mike.

  • Michael was an amazing host. Providing milk, OJ, tea and coffee. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Location was awesome. Fully stocked kitchen. Wifi. When we had questions he was more than happy to help.

    Sophie2012-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a great time staying at Michael's place! The apartment was situated in a beautiful area, and made walking around to explore the neighborhood incredibly fun. Michael provided maps and lists of local attractions, which helped us navigate (easily!) a city neither of us had ever been to. The option to pay for a private parking spot also allowed us to rest easy while on vacation, and made the apartment that much more sweet. Stay here!

    Mallory2013-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • 3 Words...Amazing Amazing Amazing Ok thats one word 3 times. Mike's place is the perfect place to stay in Philly. Located 1/2 block from South Street and 20th, is the perfect location. We walked up 20th and did the restaurant crawl including La Castagne, Tria, Tinto and Village Whiskey. All world class stops. The place itself is a charming (spotless) 2 story efficiency with parking (10.00 worth every penny) Mike was a great host and left know stone unturned. We can not wait to go back for another visit so we can stay here. Cheers, Bonnie and Paul Cullen Rehoboth Beach DE (Website hidden by Airbnb)

Live like you are staying in an upgraded King's suite hotel with a courtyard and the modern comforts of home. Close the storefront shutters for complete solitude after enjoying urban living with a short drive to the city's strip district.
This is a 'Residential' space in front of our Historic German Cemetery. It would require driving @8 blocks in order to get to a business district (markets, bars & restaurants). We purchased this only brick house in the Troy Hill District when I was 27 and Russ was 23. We bought it for $4000 from the sister of the "Handyman" that had lived here for 95 years. He served under General Patton and we found his honorable metals and gave it to Milly (his sister). We gutted the space and it took us maybe 5 years (we had other jobs) to fully complete it for it's first tenant. It's had many 're-do's': 1) Emergency housing - for many of our friends and workers who needed temporary help. 2) 2 years with a VP of Operations of a cool startup - He filled the front porch with flowers & everyone knew him in the neighborhood! 3) Our Construction Company Offices - It housed 5 desks and architectural drawings on the spacious walls. 4) Now... an Airbnb. How cool. It's been fully remodeled, given a new coat of paint, and fully furnished with mostly 'loved' stuff we've collected through the years. And we've enjoyed it thoroughly. We already have a plan for 'Lowrie Studio Court' 2.0! Courtyard is not the sanctuary I've envisioned, but getting there. We have 4 butterfly koi and 3 frogs right now. And the fountain is going and it makes such a wonderful sound... We hope we have thought of everything that we would enjoy if we were traveling. We tend to be spoiled and tried to consider everything - down to quality shampoo, a good coffee, and lots of outlets. Hope we meet and you enjoy our little urban sanctuary as much as Russell, I and the kids do!
Lowrie Studio Court is located in Pittsburgh's Historic German District. It's now a mixture of all economic levels and racial ethnicity. Our 2 new restaurants opened on 'the hill'. One is called 'scratch' where even the ketchup is made from scratch. Additionally, you can go right to the bottom and get an authentic German dinner and amazing 'Penn Brewery' beer. There is a nice outdoor courtyard and some nights have live music. Stay on the Northside: East Ohio Street offers "the Bistro to go" for amazing already prepared foods. Explore the areas jazz bars. Or drive further and visit the Children's Museum or the National Aviary. A few more blocks and you're at the Andy Warhol Museum and then the Stadiums and our Casino! Go over the bridge and you'll be in our Strip District. Park on Penn ave or Smallman and walk through to get a good taste of our local ethnic markets. Our convention center is only a few blocks away from the strip. It's not difficult to walk anywhere from there to experience the Opera, or Symphony. Drive (or bike) over the 31st bridge and you'll find the most progressive neighborhood, Lawrenceville. On Butler street, you'll find unique shops and restaurants. Want to be in a more 'party' atmosphere? Take a drive to the South side of Pittsburgh, on Carson, where there are the most bars and head shops per square mile than in any other location of Pittsburgh. Want to be a true tourist? Get a front view of the city, eat at Pittsburgh's Hard Rock Cafe, while watching an amazing musical fountain..., all at 'Station Square' (still on South side). In the afternoon, take a 'Ducky Tour' right from there and see the city from a river view! It's truly worth the ride! There is just so much. If you tell us your interests and where you want to go, you'll be amazed at how this studio is an awesome location to get to many of those attractions.
  • Kim was fantastic! The space was filled with welcoming items and helpful information about the location and the city. We enjoyed reading the book of other guests reviews and recommendations. This was our first AirBnB and very much enjoyed it. We loved bringing our dog Dax to Pittsburgh but it's a pity Kim's space is no longer pet friendly. Jenn, Duncan & Dax from Kitchener

  • Kim’s studio was the perfect stop for us on our cross country road trip. Kim had placed sweet, little notes all over her place to indicate amenities and tips for a restful stay. She was thorough in the check in process. Everything was so streamlined! The location was great and located just a short drive from shops and great restaurants which we loved! Would definitely stay again.

    Cheyanne2018-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment was wonderful. Well kept and nicely decorated. Only drawback is that there's not too much to walk to because the neighborhood, being on a hilltop, is mostly cut off from the city. New restaurant did just open up, so that seems to be changing. Lawrenceville was minutes away by car and we very much enjoyed our time back in Pittsburgh.

    Ryan2015-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay! The place was very convenient and Kim was a great host. I liked all the cute little notes she had left around the apartment.

    Varun2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is my best Airbnb experience so far. Kim is a very nice host and her place is just amazing. We loved the decorations of her place and we will definitely book this place again if we come back.

    Wenhao2017-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The place is adorable and charming. Every inch of the spacious studio is brimming with thought and care. It also has a charming patio and a big binder of what to do. Kim was very responsive and friendly. I would definitely stay again! The only drawback of the place is the neighborhood does not have a lot going on, although it is about a 30 minute walk or 10 minute drive to the heart of Lawrenceville.

  • Extremely happy with our stay at Dave & Robin's place. Modern and clean. If I ever go back to Pittsbutgh I would stay there again.

    Kathleen2018-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • The four of us had a wonderful two night stay in Dave & Robin's place! It is an older home that was recently completely renovated with beautiful, modern decor, and is exactly as shown in the photos. The shower is especially nice! It's in a great location and an easy Uber ride to Heinz field. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

    Lucinda2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing apartment! Dave and Robin were lovely and easy to communicate with. I will definitely be back!

  • Very nice place. the smaller bedroom was very sparse. But everything you need in an apartment! Would recommend

    Kim2018-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in Pittsburgh! Easy drive to downtown and convenient parking right in front of the door to access your own apartment. There was some street noise overnight but the beds are so comfortable it was easy to fall asleep! The only drawback to this space is that there is an upstairs neighbor that was walking (with shoes on) constantly starting at 7am while we were sleeping. Otherwise very clean and fresh, up to date space! I would recommend to those traveling to Pittsburgh.

    Dan2017-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was a beautiful and modern apartment! The host was very helpful and gave us suggestions on what to do and where to go. It's a ten minute Uber ride to downtown! It can't get any better than this! I highly recommend!

Super cute space in Strip, great downtown neighborhood. Perfect for couples or solo travelers ready to explore the city! The strip is centrally located between Cultural District and Lawrenceville. Easy walk/bike ride to both stadiums/pen's arena and downtown! Easy access to convention center, and the central location also makes it very easy to get to all of the universities around town. Piles of spots to explore in my neighborhood! New bed frame/mattress-replaced mid November 2018. Free parking
Sunny one bedroom apartment in the Strip District of Pittsburgh. Perfect for a couple or individual ready to explore the city! The living room has a huge window, flooding the kitchen and living room with sunshine! Although my space is just over 700 square feet-the 20 foot ceilings in the front room make it airy and spacious. A well equipped kitchen has everything you need for a night in, but with all of the amazing restaurants around, you probably wont want to stay in! Please note, I provide fresh clean linens and towels for you stay but please be sure to bring your own toiletries!
My neighborhood is FULL of local restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, bars, and shops in walking distance from my apartment. The open markets in the strip make for an exciting afternoon shop(especially on Saturday and Sunday)! I also have a list of my favorite neighborhood spots waiting for you as well as a cool city guide! But if you need some more specialized recommendations, please ask! I love my city and am happy to brag about all it has to offer! My place is a 10 minute walk to downtown, Lawrenceville, and Bloomfield-all fun areas that are equally as exciting as the strip! Whether you're in town to catch a show, attend a convention, or cheer on your favorite sports team-my place will make it super easy to get there quickly and easily!
  • This was as it was advertised – a couple of very nice rooms with a well-cared for bathroom. You are on your own, but that gives you privacy and the host leaves good instructions. A lot of amenities for those who prefer to buy and prepare food rather than eat out. Also: Washer and dryer – nice! I actually liked that the bedroom did not have a window, as I never like being awakened by the dawn. :) A good place especially for a stay of a few days, I would think. The immediate vicinity is a bit run-down-looking but seems to have character, too. I arrived in the evening, and the restaurants were all about to close, though a couple of bars were open. Just a heads up, especially for those without a car. It seemed quiet and pretty safe. One more thing: I booked only a couple of hours before my arrival and the hist was able to accommodate me. That was very nice of her.

    Ari2016-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Abbie was very welcoming and accommodating. The pictures match the apartment exactly. The neighborhood is awesome, really close to Lawrenceville which is a hip neighborhood and close to The Strip which has fun shops and food.

    Eleni2015-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying in Abbie's apartment in the Strip District. Such a great neighborhood. She left a great map of the city as well. The apartment had a lot of space and was very clean when we arrived.

    Dan2015-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, nice house, very welcoming host. Thank you Abbie!

    Selin2016-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just as pictured. Abbie was accommodating and her place was clean with everything you would want. It's a really short walk to the main strip district and an easy walk to downtown. A definite recommend.

    Anne2015-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Abbie's apt was great! She was very accommodating for my stay. Communication was easy and quick. The apt was very clean and I felt safe in the neighborhood.

    Kelsey2016-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great! It's in close walking distance to all the great eateries in the strip but far enough to be quiet at night. Would recommend.

    Mike2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Abbie's place is perfect for anyone looking to stay in the Pittsburgh Strip area. We had a blast eating at amazing restaurants and walking around the neighborhood. Check in was easy and Abbie left great suggestions for where to go on the fridge. Her apartment is super cute and fun, with lots of natural light and plants. We really enjoyed it.

  • Highly recommend this AirBNB. It is very clean, comfortable and has a great location. We were able to park directly in front of the unit with no problem, although we did stay on a weekday so it may be more difficult on a weekend. Ashley responded to all questions very quickly and made us feel right at home.

  • Beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly placed! What a treat to wake up in a gorgeous room, have tea on a private rooftop patio, and only have to walk a few steps to excellent restaurants and bars. Percy communicated all we needed to know in a very timely fashion, and the place is equipped with everything we needed for a rather luxurious stay. Highly recommended!

    James2017-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place is located above a cool bar restaurant which is definitely one of the best in the city. The area is also in the very center of the city so that you can enjoy the city life to the full. The room was cute and very clean. Towels and the beds were clean. Nothing is exaggerated in the ads. We did not encounter any problems in Percy’s house. Thank you Percy and we’ll be back to your place anytime soon!!

  • Great location and ideal living quarters! The place was extremely clean and had all the necessary amenities! We had never visited Pittsburgh before and were unsure where to stay and luckily we found this place! If you have never been to Pittsburgh and want to experience it to the fullest, this place in the Southside is ideal. Walking distance to night life, short uber to Heinz field and downtown. I would suggest this place for anyone looking to experience Pittsburgh to the fullest!

    Greg2018-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • To begin with, the place itself was very clean, tidy and true to the pictures provided in the listing, however, there were a few inconveniences that hindered our ability to fully feel at home. The first flush of the toilet, rendered it almost unusable without playing with the internal parts. The water from it was running nonstop and disturbed our sleep. Also the place was covered in glitter from the previous guest and the noise from the neighboring bar shook the walls. Although the checkout time was fairly early at 11am, we received a uninvited knock on the door at 1030am prompting us to check out. Besides that its a great place, hopefully in the future the owners can take this into consideration. Thank You.

    Erika2018-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place, clean, easy to check in, and near everything in the Southside Flats. I notice some reviewers said you can get some noise from the nearby bar and from the upstairs tenants, but it was very peaceful on a Tuesday night (no noise at all from the bar/Street), and the only thing I heard from upstairs was while I was in the bathroom (which wasn’t a problem). I’d stay again!

    Michael2018-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space!

    Cheryl2018-09-02T00:00:00Z

Rich did a good job communicating with us before our arrival and was very good answering all questions during our stay. Eric2015-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous river view suite! So clean and modern with so many thoughtful little touches that made us feel right at home. The kayaks were so convenient and Michelle and Don are natural hosts! Lots of dvds and books to keep us entertained inside the suite and tons to do in the area outside. Such a fresh and clean space - we can't wait to come back! Would recommend to anyone.

    Erin2013-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Truly hospitable hosts who are very thoughtful in every detail and care about the comfort of their guests! The view, the atmosphere, the serenity of this place leave nothing to be desired for a good, relaxing vacation. Hope to be back there when we get another chance!

  • Don & Michelle were great hosts had a wonderful space. We were very satisfied with our stay. We recommend their beautiful suite and would stay again when in the region.

  • What a great "hideaway" with easy access to Pocono attractions and Stroudsburg. The guest cottage was cozy with just the right touches. You will want to take the incredibly comfortable bed home with you! We appreciated the historic photographs of the home and having access to the deck overlooking the river. Michelle was so very welcoming and made us feel right at home. She even pitched in to help us fix our flat tire! We will keep the River View Guest Cottage on our list of AirBnB's that we will return to and have recommended it to friends in the area who need to put up out of town guests.

    Michelle2016-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Don and Michelle are both very friendly and extremely hospitable! The private suite was adorable, clean, and super cozy. My fiancé and I are still so impressed by the way Don and Michelle had thought of every little detail to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The king bed is fantastic, they had up to date movie options, and they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about local restaurants, etc. This was our first airbnb experience and it will be hard to top. We will definitely be back!! Thank you so much Don & Michelle!

    Alyssa2015-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a setting: right on the Delaware ... and the accommodations so thoughtfully designed by Michelle and Don make for a lovely stay. From the well-appointed kitchenette with yummy coffees and water bottles in the fridge, to the plush bathrobes and organic soaps and lotions in the bathroom, the 'cottage' is immediately welcoming. Oh but then there's the bed: kind sized and (as Goldilocks said) just right. We were there right before the big snow storm and the morning view was magical. We were also only a short drive to Camelback for skiing. The Peruvian BYOB restaurant, Inti, is within walking distance and a real pleasant surprise. So we're hoping to come back in the spring/early summer and experience the cottage then...

**Plenty of PARKING around the area as well as a paid parking lot if you feel more comfortable with your car being in a lot** The neighborhood of Pennslanding/Queensvillage is one of the oldest residential areas located in center city Philadelphia. This area is one block from Delaware ave which has a beautiful marina area where ships dock and restaurants on the water reside. Also, this area is in walking distance to old city (liberty bell), Italian Market and Society Hill
  • Glenn’s place was great! Centrally located and everything within walking distance, a secure building, and comfortable bed. The basement is a little short if you’re taller but overall, we had a good experience.

    Kaila2017-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • A great value in a great location. For Pete’s Sake is as good as a neighborhood bar gets, and the coffee shop down the street is excellent too. Glenn is a communicative and accommodating host.

    Peter2017-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Let me start out there was an issue that was somewhat out of Glenn's control. Given the time we checked in, an alternative was not available. However Glenn made a sincere effort to remedy the situation I won't hold that against him that somethings things happen. The room itself is in the front room of a flat. The street is not a major thoroughfare but there was limited noise. If your a light sleeper this may affect you (then again every Airbnb I've stayed at in Philly was subject to street noise). The other issue is the height of the ceilings. I'm 6'4 so the trip downstairs and in the shower was a little perilous. I've hit my head a few times in the 2 days. As with may places in Philadelphia, the inside stairs are not for anyone with mobility issues. As a side note, I'm amazed they were able to put a pool table down there. Anyways, all things considered I would give Glenn another shot.

  • This was the perfect place to stay in philly! So close to amazing amenities, 7/11 and everything you could need. The listing was accurate, no surprises. Would stay here again! Tips for parking at this location would be to plan a head and look for a place to leave your car for the duration of your trip, Uber is very reasonable. We parked at Bainbridge and had no issues.

    Katie2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Best for 2 people. Great value.

    Fran2018-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Glen was very helpful with communication and responded very promptly. The place was comfortable for two people, and the pool table is an added bonus. Parking was found close by so we did not have to walk very far. Restaurants were abundant in the area, walkable or by car. We really enjoyed our stay!

    Lindsay2018-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Let me start by saying that Glenn was very quick to respond to our messages. Also, this was our first airBNB experience. I inquired about an early check in but Glenn said it was not possible due to the place being professionally cleaned. It didn't seem like it had been professionally cleaned though. The sheets and towels did not look clean even though they smelled clean. The sheets has oil stains on them & the towels looked quite used. Glenn was quick to call to apologize and provide alternative sheets. The bathroom smelled like urine. I took the Lysol spray from the bedroom to try and deodorize and wipe down the bathroom in spots, but that didn't help. The smell may have been coming from around the toilet (which I inspected & it did not look clean as I could see dust around the base of the toilet) or from the bathroom mats which looked dirty (I didn't smell them). Also, I would have liked the bathroom mats to have been a small towel, like in a hotel, so that I know it is a clean mat for me to place my bare feet. Overall, Glenn was a responsive host, but we expected more for our first airBNB experience.

General Meade's house steps from Rittenhouse Square, central to fine dining, on a quaint Philadelphia street. Hardwood floors, 15 foot high ceilings, and massive windows make this a wonderful apartment with a great perspective on the neighborhood. The apartment is always very clean. It is professionally cleaned between all guests, and fresh linens are provided to each guest. The location literally can not be beat. 2 Blocks from the square! Blackout curtains have been added to the bedroom!
The apartment is about 10 feet above ground level, looking out above the cozy streets of Philadelphia. This apartment's best feature is it's large main room with tall ceilings and beautiful windows, which overlook a very quaint Philadelphia street. There is a wonderful family-style kitchen table perfect for dining and doing work. The apartment has an open floor plan which keeps the apartment very well lit. Situated above street level helps to give this apartment a great feeling of connectedness with the community while still being well perched. The living area, adjacent to the dining and kitchen area, features a large, beautiful couch, a coffee table and a flat screen television. The bedroom is separate from the main room and is located near the bathroom. Bathroom has a bathtub and shower.
The neighborhood is lovely. Within walking distance are some of the cities most well liked and ranked restaurants. Most are with less than 20 tables and many are BYOB. On 20th street there is a strip of high-end bars, and a short walk through the park brings you to a more traditional bar scene and night life. Two blocks from the apartment are both a local coffee shop/bakery and a Starbucks. If you want to cook, there is a grocery store two blocks away. All of this is located steps from Historic Rittenhouse Square, which is a wonderful square for sightseeing, walking, dining, and relaxing. About 5 blocks from the apartment is the new Riverwalk, which is a trail that parallels the river. It is great for walking, running, biking, sightseeing, and it leads directly to Fairmont Park and past the Philadelphia Art Museum. Simply wonderful.
  • The apartment was spacious and had a great location! A huge living space with a nicely remodeled kitchen. Walking distance to so many restaurants, shops & Rittenhouse Square. The bed was rather uncomfortable, but everything else was worthwhile!

  • Micheal was very welcoming. Our experience met expectations. The location and amenities were as expected.

    Max2015-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very good experience at Michael's place. There is a lot of space, and the apartment is clean and bright. It is located in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood of the city, which is a very elegant area, with a lot of bars, restaurants, and places to go out. We had breakfast at the Metropolitan Cafe, only two blocks away, and it was delicious. We highly recommend Michael's apartment! :)

    Olivier2015-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • My fiance and I were looking for a simple, comfortable, and centrally-located place to stay in Philadelphia for four days when we found this spot. It exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean, organized, and well-stocked when we arrived. The couch and bed were incredibly comfortable. But the location was the best: right near Rittenhouse Square, surrounded by great restaurants and coffee shops, and it still maintained the homey feel of a secluded Philly brownstone. The only blip was an hour-long power outage across the whole building one night. We never found out what happened, but Mike was quick to respond and the matter was resolved without fuss. Overall it was a great experience. I will recommend this spot to friends and would be happy to stay with Michael during my next trip to Philadelphia.

    Daniel2014-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Working with Michael was easy! He is very responsive. We had difficulty because of weather (ice storm), so had to cancel. Michael was understanding, as were we. Came to a compromise. Next time.

    Julia2015-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Michael made everything so easy for us. Spacious apartment in center Philadelphia. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

This sunny, one-bedroom apartment with huge windows has a true city feeling! It comfortably fits two and is centrally located in the eclectic and diverse neighborhood of Garfield. This is a welcoming and inclusive rental hosted by a friendly couple who live and work in the neighborhood.
This is a super-cute apartment on the second floor of charming Penn Ave building in the heart of Garfield. If you love lots of light, warm colors, high ceilings, vintage charm, a diverse and eclectic walkable neighborhood, and historic feel this cozy place is perfect for you! Here are the details: The layout is a two-room studio. The first room has two huge south-facing windows, 12 foot ceilings, and a faux-fireplace. It serves as a bed/living combo. The 2nd room is a kitchen. The stove and refrigerator were purchased last year. Original pocket doors (that work!) separate the two rooms. The bathroom is also newly renovated (new shower, toilet, vanity+mirror, extra toiletries, and hair dryer). We provide fluffy towels and high threadcount sheets/linens. There is a brand new furnace exclusive to the unit that you control and the unit has a large window A/C unit to keep it cool. The space is ideal for one person, a couple, or close friends as the queen bed and full-size futon are in the same room. There are two wooden wardrobes for clothing and coats. Private entry via Penn Ave or our side door from the rear parking pad. Free internet... you can hop right on our building's FIOS which is fast and awesome. There is free, off-street parking in the rear of the building in a parking pad that accommodates up to a mid-size SUV/Van. Just down the street from People's Indian Restuarant, Spak Brothers Pizza and Sandwiches, Commonplace Coffee, Prairie [Coming Soon!], Pho Minh, Trams, Brillobox and so much more! For short residencies or visiting family, the unit is within walking distance or a short drive to Children's Hospital and West Penn Hospital. 8 blocks from Yoga Hive's awesomeness for your physical fitness needs. Bloomfield, East Liberty, and trendy Lawrenceville are just a few blocks away, with many more culinary and entertainment options. If you are a runner, the streets of neighboring Friendship are nice and flat. Allegheny cemetery is also a few blocks away which is a lovely place to walk/run. Green space can be found in Friendship park and nearby Highland Park. This apartment is not for you if: * You do not like eclectic, urban settings. * You require a TV * You require a yard. * Your daily (and nightly) habits are possibly noisy and/or disruptive [the apartment is located above a 9-5 business/office]. * You are not capable of climbing stairs [there is one flight up to the 2nd floor unit]. * You require a bathtub. The bathroom is fully renovated with a lovely new and spacious shower stall. * You require 100% quiet to sleep. There is some light traffic noise from Penn Ave. Please let us know if you have any questions about this apartment. We'd love to host you in Pittsburgh!
We love our eclectic and diverse neighborhood. Garfield has many art galleries and installations, restaurants, and businesses. It's an area that has seen much revitalization recently, but there are still buildings that are boarded up on our block. We feel that the neighborhood is a great asset to our location, but realize it might not be for everyone.

Our space is walking or biking distance from the Strip District, Downtown, PNC Park, Heinz Field, some great local hangouts, and public transport. You’ll love our place because of the ambiance, comfy bed, and the Brooklyn-like neighborhood. It's perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and anyone looking to stay for an extended period of time!
Located in the heart of Deutschtown in the Northside of Pittsburgh. This historic four-story building was once was an elegant palace with marble mantels, clawfoot tubs, and decadent chandeliers, but over time, it fell into disrepair. A friend and I saw incredible potential in this old building, bought it, and painstakingly over the course of a year totally renovated the space, transforming it into a reinvigorated form of its former glory. In order to connect the building with its history and keep its character, wherever possible, we retained and restored the original architectural details, while simultaneously giving it an industrial-vintage look with modern and eclectic accents.
Deutschtown, part of Pittsburgh's Northside, is the Brooklyn of Pittsburgh. It's the most racially and economically diverse neighborhood in town, with an array of things to offer: live Jazz, the oldest bar in Pittsburgh, Banjo night, breweries, great restaurants, a huge city park, and more. On top of that, we're within walking/biking distance to the Strip District, Downtown, PNC Park, and Heinz Field.
  • Everything about the home in the pictures was accurate. It is a beautiful stylish home. We walked about a mile back from the restaurant where we met up with friends. We will definitely plan on staying here again, when we are planning our next visit to Pittsburgh.

    Dayna2018-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great, walking distance to so many great things. Pictures are exactly what you'll find it to look like, really a lovely space with great natural light. There isn't cable, just chrome cast which isn't a huge deal, just worth noting. We would definitely go back.

    Samantha2018-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • The place was wonderful. High ceilings, big south facing windows, lots of rooms to spread out, fun furniture and tons of attention to detail throughout. We have to make special mention of the bed, it was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The space was clean and quite and had everything one would need. The location is great. Besides the fun things to do in the neighborhood, everything from downtown to the strip was just a mile away. Billy was a delight. He was quick to give us a long list of fun places to eat and see as well as taking the time to help us find parking. His recommendation for the Jazz club around the corner was defiantly a winner. We will certainly look him up again when we come back to Pittsburgh.

  • Fantastic spot if you're spending time Downtown or in the Northside of Pittsburgh. Great communication and beautiful apartment. We were very happy with our stay!

  • Very beautiful space in a convenient part of town.

    Kim2018-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • The location was very central to PNC park and Heinz Field. We were able to walk around safely and easily. There are some great little spots (cafes, bars, brewery) near the apartment on the same street. The apartment itself is beautiful, charming, and clean. The walls are pretty thin, so if you’re a light sleeper, I suggest bringing a sound machine or ear plugs! The WiFi was spotty while moving from bedroom to living room. We luckily were going in and out of the apartment that we did not need to use the WiFi too much. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

  • GREAT PLACE! Very simple and stylish apt that is full of light! The neighborhood isn’t as developed as you would think (it has beautiful architecture and is SO CLOSE to downtown) but the proximity and style/coziness of the apt made this spot a must. Love the high tech app locking system too! Would stay over and over again.

This property was purchased and completely renovated and furnished in December, 2013. My wife and I use this property when we visit our home town of Pittsburgh (we live in the Bahamas). Otherwise, It's a dedicated rental property that is decorated and outfitted with temporary guests in mind. We like to think of it as our one unit hotel! There is a keurig coffee maker (k-cups not provided) in the kitchen so don't forget to bring your own k-cups! The living room features a brand new 55 inch flat screen TV with basic cable & Apple TV. One of the best highlights of our apartment is it's great location! We are within a 20 minute walk to all of the following places (and much more): *Heinz Field - 20 minutes *PNC Park - 20 minutes *The Rivers Casino - 20 minutes *Allegheny General Hospital - 10 minutes *Downtown Pittsburgh - 20 minutes *The Warhol Museum - 15 minutes *The Mattress Factor Museum - 7 minutes *The National Aviary - 4 minutes In addition to all of the great options, our apartment is a short drive or an easy cab ride to all of the other great neighborhoods that Pittsburgh has to offer. If you have your own car, there is ample street parking nearby in our neighborhood. We've never had a problem finding parking right out front.
  • The apartment was very spacious and clean. It was set up with everything to find and use easily. The appliances and furniture were new, clean and as the pictures displayed. Thank you!

    Danny2016-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location, beautiful and convenient apartment delivered clean and with many thoughtful touches. They were excellent hosts and very responsive. The playground right across the street was particularly useful for our family, and being on the bus line was nice for getting around when we didn't feel like driving. Parking wasn't a problem either - coming from a city where every inch of curb is tightly regulated we were unsure about the situation, but there was always a spot free on the street in front of the building. The only problem we had was that the mattress in the master bedroom was worn and had a pronounced dip in it - I had a sore back already, and sleeping on it made my back worse. The other bedroom was fine, though, and given the attention to detail throughout (and that it's the sort of thing only people with back problems tend to complain about) I'm sure they'll remedy it eventually.

    Matt2015-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonder apt. The neaghborhood was quiet, across from a park with a playground for our visiting grandchildren. A very convenient location for museums etc.

    Nancy2015-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The listing description was spot on. The area was nice, reminded me of a European town. Walking distance to downtown Pittsburgh.

    Forrest2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • My friend and I visited Pittsburgh with the intention of seeing a Pirates game and exploring the city. Matt and Julie's place was the perfect location to walk to either stadium (Pirates or Steelers) and the restaurants around them. It is also close enough to easily walk downtown. Their place had every amenity you could ask for. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a meal at home and the balcony allowed us to drink a glass of wine and enjoy the neighborhood. The neighborhood is in a beautiful historic district and there was plenty of street parking. I think the North shore is the best location to stay in Pittsburgh and I would recomend this place to anyone. We didn't get a chance to meet Matt and Julie but they left thorough instructions for getting in and checking out. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were nice. The place was well stocked with everything from linens to toilet paper to shampoo. Thanks for the opportunity to enjoy Pittsburgh in a beautiful condo, in a really cool neighborhood. ( The Monterey Pub is a short walking distance and is a great local pub with really good food)

  • This place was perfect for our weekend trip to Pittsburgh. The location was great and walking distance to some great bars and restaurants. Check in was easy to use and super convenient. I was a little worried about the parking at first but it was so easy! Just download the app and reload the the meter throughout the day. And there are several meter spots right in front of the apartment. It was so nice being on the other end of Air Bnb (we are hosts in Columbus). I appreciate the easy check in and info provided. Thanks for such a great visit. Highly recommend!

  • Dawn was there when we arrived and showed us around. The property was as we expected, per the photos, and everything was in good working order, clean, and nice. Our weekend was lovely - we did as Dawn suggested and brought enough food to last for our stay so we could just enjoy our space. Bed was comfortable, amenities were fine. We knew there was not a stove in the kitchen, so we planned meals that could be prepared on the gas grill, or in the microwave or toaster oven. Dawn gave us directions to a small island in the lake that we canoed to, and once there, found the big tree with the eagle's nest! Making a fire in the fire pit was wonderful - and the full moon came up right over the water in front of us! Would recommend to any couple or single person for a quiet and beautiful getaway spot to relax. Thanks Dawn!

  • Had a nice relaxing time. Kayaking on the beautiful lake was a highlight. Fire pit was easy to use with plenty of free firewood, grill was excellent even for breakfast. Cottage was good, not fancy but just what we needed. Dawn is a very personable and gracious hostess. We would definitely recommend this spot!

  • A gracious host. We wish our stay was much longer. We will definitely be booking again!

  • My husband and I stayed here for our 2nd wedding anniversary. We just wanted to get away from the city and enjoy some quite time surrounded by nature and that is exactly what we got. Dawn was amazing with all her helpful instructions and local tips to visit area around. The space is super cozy and the place is Serene and beautiful. I already miss the place so much and can't wait to get back there when I get a chance.

  • We went in November which is a turning point in the weather in Pennsylvania. The weather was cool but it was still nice to be outside. The view of the lake is gorgeous. The lower level is very spacious. If you're a gourmet cook, you might find the kitchen someone wanting. There is a hot plate, a microwave and a toaster oven but we were able to enjoy making a meal using the outside grill and those other amenities. The inside fireplace was all set up for us with wood stacked all we had to do was light it. There was a bottle of Asti in the refrigerator. I just loved staying there because it was a mix of comfortable and quaint and simple. The bathroom was very lovely and the shower was strong and relaxing. If you're used to a queen or king size bed you might struggle because the bedroom has a double bed in it and we didn't sleep very well due to that fact but the setting itself made up for it. The highlight of our stay was taking the canoe out on the lake. We intend to go back when the weather is warmer and use the outside fire pit and seating area down by the lake. We took a short trip into Hawley and went through the antique shops there in the evening. Very quaint. Altogether it was a very lovely and memorable weekend. Thank you Dawn for sharing your place with us.

  • Dawn's place was so so great! First off it was so incredibly peaceful and the view was gorgeous. The neighborhood deer were a fun surprise, we had 10 of them right out the back door that were not shy at all. I've never been so close to deer before and we even fed one out of our hands! The space was so comfy and relaxing, we used the fireplace plenty and it was so cozy. The bed was very comfy and I loved that there were plenty of games and books for use. Dawn's cat Einstein was very friendly and added some comedy with his spying on us through the back door. We needed a quiet and relaxing weekend away and this was beyond expectations. We loved the book of activities and things to do that Dawn put together and thanks to that we enjoyed some pleasant hikes and an ice show! Whether winter or summer, I'm confident to say that you can't go wrong staying with Dawn!

  • The house was just as promised. The view was excellent, and the trip was great. Awesome trip!

    Omar2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about our stay was perfect. Dawn was a wonderful host and very communicative. There was so much information available to us, from maps hanging on the walls to a binder of everything from restaurant suggestions to different hikes in the area. We stayed there in March, so it was still cold and snowy, but we were very warm and comfortable. The cabin is very cozy and the cat, Einstein is very friendly. There is a fireplace already set up for a fire, supplies to make s'mores, board games, and plenty of books to read. There is a coffee pot, coffee, tea, and a stocked make-shift kitchen with everything you need to make breakfast, lunch, and even a simple dinner. The lake is absolutely gorgeous and the area is very scenic and peaceful. We went on one of the recommended hikes and it was lovely. The location is ideal for a peaceful getaway and a return to nature. We loved it! I would love to stay there again.

  • The space was surprisingly large for a studio and Chris was very helpful. We wanted something close to presque isle with a nice view and this space was perfect. We made a few trips to peach street near the 90 for dinner and some shopping. Aside from that our time was spent at the beach which we had great weather for. We didn't really enjoy our late night stroll through downtown Erie, some spots were kind of sketchy. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean affordable place to stay. The nights we were there for were a little warm so bringing a small fan might be a good idea.

    Brandon2014-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The space was wonderful! Although, I never met with Chris, he was great at making sure he was available if I needed anything. The layout made the space feel spacious yet cozy. Additionally, the bed, which I find can make or break an experience, was extremely comfortable! It was a great space and a really awesome location! I would definitely stay there again and I've already recommended it to friends and family! What a great space! I couldn't have asked for a better first AirBnB experience!

  • The apter to it was great. Nice view, deck, well stocked, very clean, plenty of towels. All first rate.

    Douglas2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • I didn't get to meet the host, but the transaction was very easy. The apartment was clean and well stocked with lot's of amenities (everything you always forget) and had a great view. It also didn't get too hot even though air-conditioning wasn't available. Erie is a breezy town : ) I would highly recommend for a couple looking to stay somewhere private and affordable. Within walking distance to restaurants, bars and water sport rentals.

    Mandi2014-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay at Christopher's place. This stay was just as wonderful as the last. The apartment is clean, spacious, and perfect for a weekend getaway. My car was stuck in the snow and Chris offered to personally pull my vehicle out with his truck. He is a great host that wants you to have as pleasant of a stay as possible.

    Rhyan2015-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • It was a wonderful location and very cosy space! A beautiful view and Christopher was minutes away when needed anything :)

    Rebekah2015-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Another amazing experience at the bayfront property. My wife and I spent a month here before we graduated from LECOM. I would highly recommend this property to any medical student rotating at Hamot or St. Vincent. You have plenty of room for two people, especially if you are two people that are forced to live out of their car. Chris is a great host and cares that his guests have a good experience.

    Rhyan2015-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cris was very welcoming, the appartment was amazing, large and quiet. The view and the location are perfect for visiting and there is grocery store and dollar store nearby. Recomended

Located in the heart of historic Old City, you will find yourself steps away from unique restaurants, shops, & art galleries. The studio includes a full kitchen, washer-dryer, full bath, and is 3 blocks away from the Liberty Bell and G.Washington's house!
The best coffee shop (Old City Coffee) is downstairs. Otherwise High Street, Cafe Ole are great lunch spots.
  • Okan was always very prompt with texting and messages. This apartment is very clean and quiet with an especially nice island kitchen. It has two beds one regular double and a futon fold open from a couch. The bathroom while totally adequate it small and compact. The door is not exactly private as it has a wooden shuttered window. So you can hear what is happening but it is no big deal. Very quite location in the back section of the apartment. It is one long narrow stairway all the way up 3 floors with no elevator. So prepare for that. The neighborhood is a mix of historic, residential and commercial, a great coffee shop is just down the stairs and outside next door. Narrow cobblestone street easily accessable and walkable to the subway or buses and just a few blocks away from independence hall. This was a great place to stay that We highly recommend. Great host , Great apartment!

    Barry2016-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I were in Philadelphia for a short trip. The studio looked just like the photos and spacious for 2, there were even toiletries available for use. Great selection of T.V channels, to relax after a day of walking. The location is excellent (coffee/tea shop just downstairs, lots of restaurants nearby) and very close to the historic sites. Although the studio is in a central location, it is very quiet. The apartment is on the second floor, about 35 narrow steps, which might be a bit uncomfortable for people with a lot of luggage. There is no free parking in the nearby area (probably because it is in a very central location) and we had to pay 37$ for 2 days in the nearest parking lot. Okan is very nice, helpful and easy to get in touch with. I would definitely recommend a stay here and I will be sure to stay again when I'm back in Philadelphia.

    Dina2015-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was exactly as described and we especially LOVED the location! It was SO CLOSE to many of the most popular sights, and a quick cab, bus or subway ride across town for other attractions. Lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood too! Okan was very kind and he was quick with his replies when answering any of our questions. Snag this place if you can, you won't be disappointed! Thanks again, Okan!

    Danielle2018-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • The location of the apartment was great, close to the liberty bell and independence hall. It is also close to a lot of great food places (you have to visit the Franklin Fountain)! However, the apartment is situated below some stairs in the building and it is extremely loud and disruptive when somebody walks up and down the stairs. During my stay, somebody was remodeling or doing some renovation work, so they went up and down the stairs constantly for hours. Also, the hot water only worked for about 5 min when I was there. Luckily, it was only a short stay. Keep these things in mind if you decide to stay here. The apartment was clean and as pictured.

    Alexis2016-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great studio apartment in Philadelphia. Okan's place was clean and just like the pictures and descriptions he posted. He responded really quickly to any questions I had. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this to anyone coming to Philadelphia.

    Stephanie2015-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Okan was the perfect host.He accommodated our arrival and departure requests, and the studio apartment was spacious and very comfortable. The bed was comfy and the sofa bed was nice, too. However, there is only a small mirror over the sink in the bathroom which severely cramped our style as we were dressing and doing hair and makeup for a formal event. That was a pretty big disappointment. We read earlier reviews that mention the steep stairs and THESE STEPS ARE STEEP - we all did the steps barefoot, even our teenage daughter-- you are living dangerously if you attempt in heels. I would say if all you want is a comfortable reasonably priced place to sleep in the perfect location, you will love it -- except we had an awful, sleepless night. The steps to the apartment above run overhead and the upstairs neighbors clunked up and down the steps at 2:30am and continued their loud partying which included music, loud cheering and other noise, furniture moving (!!!) and the sound of continued walking in heels on the floor that was our ceiling until 5:30am (when we figured the vampires passed out as the sun came up.) While there was cable TV the channel choices were extremely limited and for all intents and purposes we had no access to what we consider standard sports, weather, or movie channels. Forget about TV watching here if it's not the Big Three. We did have the best espresso milkshake ever (approx $9) downstairs at Olde City Coffee. Parking is easy and reasonable right behind the building. I am sure you could be happy here if you are in your 20s or 30s. ;)

    Deborah2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Pros: This studio is on a quiet and charming block and backs up to a parking lot (very convenient for anyone driving as I did). All the sites of Old City, Penn's Landing, and Market Street restaurants are minutes away. Cons: I agree with previous reviewers regarding the bathroom, but the rest of the apartment is just as pictured. Noteworthy: For those in need of an elevator, there are three flights of (somewhat narrow) stairs to the apartment.

    Patty2016-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • If this place is available for your stay book it now! My fiancé, dog and I couldn't have had a more perfect spot for our night in Philly. Amazing location to all tourist/historical attractions, super walkable area, clean and comfortable place! Will absolutely stay here again!

Our colorful, comfy and safe apartment is a great place to call home between your Philly adventures. It sleeps four and is perfectly located to explore Old City, Chinatown, Rittenhouse, Reading Terminal and the Italian Market by foot, subway, taxi or bicycle.
This beautiful apartment in the heart of historic Old City promises to deliver a Philly experience full of culture, history, food and fun. The space has a loft feel with awesome exposed brick walls and tons of natural light. Comfortably accommodating four, the apartment provides a safe place to rejuvenate and refresh between your local adventures. Noise: We live on a city block full of bars and restaurants. There is a piano bar with live music below us and a night club next door. Typically on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights the people and music are very loud until 1:30-2:00am. If you are planning to be in the apartment/going to sleep earlier than these times on these nights, it is not a good fit. The rest of the week is quiet as the club is not open and there is no live music right below us.
Old City is a beautiful and lively neighborhood that attracts visitors from all over the world. Within a few short blocks you will find major historic sites, museums, parks, delicious restaurants, art galleries, boutiques and a range of places to grab a drink. There are also staples like a movie theater, grocery store and running paths. The site oldcitydistrict is a great resource for all things Old City and uwishunu provides info on tons of events happening around Philly. Check out our personal favorites for the neighborhood and city in our Guidebook! In addition to Old City, you will be within easy walking distance or a quick taxi/Uber ride to Penn's Landing, Reading Terminal Market, Chinatown, Art Museum District, Rittenhouse Square, South Street and the Italian Market. The Northern Liberties and Fishtown neighborhoods are just around the corner too.
  • Perfect location! easy walk to historical areas plus Penns Landing is right in your backyard. The apartment was clean and spotless. Communication was absolutely amazing with owners. I really couldn't be more grateful for how responsive and attentive they were. The only negative was that its located above a seafood restaurant. We were there Monday-Wednesday and the smell upon arrival was really horrible because it must have been garbage day Tuesday morning. It was pretty bad coming in and out of the building. However, once inside the apartment itself, it didn't smell at all. No noise, although that might just be because we were there during the week. The neighborhood was fun and friendly. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun place to stay with friends for a quick trip to Philly!

    Lily2018-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • The place is awesome. Nestled in the rich history of Philly, it’s a short walk to any sites a visitor would like to see. Also, the bars and restaurants around the area are amazing!

  • Marco and Kristin’s place is a true gem! The apartment is clean, comfortable, spacious and gets amazing light through a skylight. The location can’t be beat. And the check-in and check-out instructions made everything so easy. Outstanding place!

  • If you looking for a quick Philly get away, this place is great. This was a business trip for me, this place is clean and the area is safe. Parking is very easy. Park in the 2nd street deck and you walk 300 feet to the front door. Parking was only 24 dollars for an overnight.

  • Cannot say enough about Ravi’s place. It literally in THE perfect spot. A true hidden gem in the middle of the city. A cute little studio with a full kitchen and bathroom surrround by tons of restaurants, bars and shopping. There’s historical sights everywhere and you can walk to all of them. No taxi or Uber needed. I would have loved to stay another couple of nights but it was booked. Don’t hesitate to book this!!!!

  • Ravi has a very cute apartment off a historic cobblestone road in downtown Philly, and it has a lot of character. You can see some of the original brick work, which was really neat, and the temp was cool in the middle of summer. We were very close to a lot of great restaurants and there was even a Pokestop we could hit from the room. He's an incredibly thoughtful host and genuinely wants to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable, and was communicative and attentive to our needs. There's thoughtful additions he's put into the room like an electronic trash can, a nice coffee pot, an intercom. It has a very clean renovated feel to it. Would definitely rent again from Ravi!

    Susan2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Ravi was an amazing host. He responded promptly and immediately made me feel welcome. Each day he kindly asked if I needed any more toiletries, towels etc. The unit was exactly as advertised. A tiny bit small but unbelievable value given the location and hospitality and it does comfortably host 1-2 guests. Without a doubt given the proximity to most of Philly's attractions and quality of the unit you cannot go wrong.

    Rohin2016-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • You are within blocks from everything. The Airbnb host was very friendly and accommodating. They are very close by if you need anything. I traveled alone and always felt safe. The studio is perfect for a single traveler or a couple. I would definitely stay here again.

This private studio apartment is a retreat in vibrant University City with central air, free 24/7 street parking, and a kitchen w full-sized fridge. Park your bike in a secure, private area. Close to everything: Center City, U.Penn, hospitals, and transportation in a fun & accessible West Philly neighborhood.
With accommodations for 1-4 people, this apartment is totally private, and well appointed with amenities. The full kitchen is ready for cooking and stocked with microwave and toaster oven, coffee maker and electric kettle. Also provided: toiletries, feminine hygiene products, ironing board, iron, hairdryer, vacuum cleaner, towels, and linens.
This is an affordable yet convenient neighborhood of students, low to middle -income residents of various stripes and colors. Personally, I love the diversity of the building and my neighbors. I'm happy not to live around people who look just like me. For me, the quality of a neighborhood rests on the relationships I have with all the people around it, and I find U. City an extremely active and supportive community. I appreciate the multi-cultural landscape, the expert gardening, the excellent restaurants, and also the neighborhood's convenience to transportation and close proximity to Center City. The tree-lined streets throughout the neighborhood are host to nice commercial amenities and options. There is an excellent thrift store and an array of cultural experiences - from middle eastern hookah lounges and eateries to a raw, vegan, African cafe. We have the fantastic Mariposa Food Coop with local and sustainable products, several bookstores, yoga studios, and shape-note singing. Calvary UMC shares space with other worshiping communities: Mennonite, Jewish, and Eastern Orthodox. AA/NA meetings are peppered throughout the area. The neighborhood blossoms around the heart of our urban life: Clark Park. Concerts, theater, farmers market. NOTE: Be sure not to miss the neighborhood to the south of the apartment, particularly around Baltimore Ave. between 44th and 50th Streets.
  • Hoot's apartment is warm and welcoming. We stayed a good night at Hoot's place and enjoyed a great day in Philly. His apartment is located at a convenient, quiet and safe neighborhood. Finding the parking place is super easy. It took us a few minutes driving to local groceries and UPenn. Philly is a great place to visit and Hoot's apartment is an ideal place for visitors.

  • Great apartment for a short visit to Philly. Close to a few supermarkets and the subway it's a pretty good location. Flat is equipped with everything you would need for a few days and all instructions left were helpful. Would definitely recommend if you are looking to stay for a short time.

  • HooT! Staying at your place was a blast even in the brief moments we shared your hospitality was well received. Hoot has a stocked fridge as well as a very comfortable futon. there are other amazing surprises but I would hate to ruin it for you. I will definitely be back!

    Ojirese2014-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was a good fit for the price, it comfortably fit me and a friend. Hoot provided a helpful picture for the key pick-up and although it took me a bit to figure out, pick up and drop off were pretty straightforward. I didn't have to buy breakfast because there were eggs and butter in the fridge. The location of this apartment is near Mariposa co-op on 48th and Baltimore, so I was able to shop and cook later in the day. The shower was a little tricky because it immediately begun flooding when I turned it on but it eventually stopped. The apartment was decorated warmly, it smelled a little bit like a previous owner/visitor had a cat though.

    Sarah2015-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Hoot was an awesome host - clear info about location and getting in, so it was easy getting settled in! The place was really clean and quiet, and enough space for me and a friend. The wifi is fast and reliable, which is perfect for getting work done. The futon is also incredibly comfortable! I didn't get to have breakfast but Hoot makes his own bread so be sure to try it!

    Annie2015-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was good. Apartment is conveniently located and easy to reach. Definitely a good place to stay while in Philly. Thanks Hoot for all the info and support!

Plenty of light - along with an organic modern, yet still Victorian theme... The 43 Inch UHD TV has built in Roku, Netflix and other features in addition to regular cable.
This recently renovated 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment comes with a luxury whirlpool for 2 and built in quartz crystal light fixtures, a perfect escape! Also, comes with full kitchen, spacious living room, off-street parking, and is across the street from the Old Jail Museum.
The neighbored is historical Jim Thorpe, friendly, safe and 2 to 3 minutes walk to the bars, restaurants and attractions.

  • The pictures do not do this place justice. It is like the Doctor Who Tardis - it’s bigger on the inside. There was a great amount of space to lounge around. The couches were comfortable. The bedding was great. The towels are extra large. We will definitely stay with Jeffrey again when we go back to the Jim Thorpe area.

Jeff was super awesome and responded back quickly, it's no wonder why he's a superhost! Will definitely, definitely, definitelyyyyy be back!!!

  • As soon as you walk in you can already tell the place is clean and meticulously decorated. Out of all the airbnb's I stayed at, this one takes the cake! As everyone mentioned, the jacuzzi was amazing. The bathroom was cooler than most hotel bathrooms I have been in. The shower space is a little small, but it gets the job done. the bed is comfy, you have a variety of choices on pillows on the bed as well. Your own parking space, great local attractions, great food nearby, and a nice cozy but spacious place to stay. I have nothing negative to say and so much to say about the positives. Thanks for having us!

This is an apartment in a large beautiful old home that contains 4 units. The other 3 units have been renovated but this one has not yet, but it is very comfortable and well equipped for the price which it is listed. If you would like an early check in Or a late check out You may do so for an additional $20 charge.
The location is unparalleled by any other. As stated in the description this space is not renovated and is not perfect but is quirky and comfortable, well equipped and has a king size bed that guests comment about frequently.
It is beautiful with many parks and convenient to everything.
  • Cloud 9 is a wonderful place to stay in Pittsburgh and an amazing deal. The apartment is comfortably furnished and has all you would need to cook a basic meal in the surprisingly well-equipped kitchen. I had a hard time getting to Pittsburgh and Texi was very kind to be flexible when my flight was cancelled twice and I didn't arrive until morning. The bed was perfect after a long day. Little touches like local coffee and fixings and an extensive recommendation list were great. I was sad to leave and plan to come back with company and time to see the city.

    Elizabeth2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Texi was very helpful and kept in touch during the stay to make sure we were allright. Comfortable bed. Nice and quiet.

    Emma2016-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved our stay here! Excellent mid-century modern decor, cute neighborhood, and a wonderful host! Would re-book in a heartbeat.

    Deirdre2015-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was so beautiful and equipped with so much taste of interior design. The neighborhood in squirrel hill is one of the best in Pittsburgh and it is really quiet and lovely but still not far away from everything you can see in the city. To check in and out is so easy even when you are arriving late. We would definitely come back at our next trip. Texi and her husband are so warm and nice we feel very comfortable and we would recommend this place to everybody else who would love to stay in Pittsburgh for a few days or longer.

    Caroline2016-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a great time in Pittsburgh and especially enjoyed staying at the 3rd-floor apartment in Texi's house. Really cozy and quiet and we would certainly stay there again.

    Mike2015-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place Cloud 9 is! Texi's warm hospitality is matched by the comfortable, good feeling inside this spacious apartment. Great, comfortable bed! Can't wait to come back and explore the beautiful neighborhood. Big thanks to Texi for being such a generous host.

    Bonnie2015-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • My best Airbnb experience ever! The first time I stepped in CLOUD,which is on the 3rd floor, I am totally amazed. The unique decoration style and how well-equipped it is. Texi is absolutely nice and helpful. She welcomed me very warmly on the first day and even asked me to have her veggie meal..I met her husband by chance, who is also very nice and they let me use the printer. Many thanks!Oh,she is also a yogi^_^ She showed me around her house, including the newly renovated apartment, also on the 3rd floor.(modern style, also adorable)There's two lovely private entrance. The neighborhood is safe, quiet and dotted with many lovely houses. I quite enjoy walking around( even on a snowy day^_^)It's a little pity that I only stay for very short time, but the stay is pretty impressive. In short, it's perfect! Thanks for sharing all those wonderful things ! Namaste

  • If you are seeking a respite -- a beautiful home that is spotlessly clean and comfortable, and a host that attends to your every need -- without intruding on your privacy -- book with Texi.

VOTED ONE OF THE 10 BEST AIRBNB'S IN PHILLY! (TRIP101) The apartment is centrally located. The apartment has 15 foot ceilings, a 50 square foot window, and a super cozy living room decorated with west elm furniture and features a working fireplace. You can relax on the brick outdoor patio highlighted with antique iron furniture, a small garden, a fountain, and a grill. The kitchen is modernized with subway tile and brand new appliances. This apartment screams Paris. It's a super neat space.
The apartment was designed using a traditional french motif. The bedroom and kitchen are just off of the main living area; While small, the bedroom and kitchen are very accessible, with high end finishes. The main living room is central to the apartment, it is impeccably designed using west elm furniture, and has a 50 square foot window overlooking infamously lighted-tree lined Addison street. The living room also has a functional gas fireplace and a built in desk which overlooks a quaint Philadelphia street. There is a wonderful outdoor patio off of the bedroom complete with a fountain, an antique iron patio set, and a skyline view of Philadelphia.
The apartment is central to many of Philadelphia's best attractions. It is located directly between (2 blocks from each) Rittenhouse Square, center city west and a wonderfully new and vibrant south street scene between 14th and 17th. It's a short walk to all the universities, city walk (a new river walk), and many bars and restaurants. Located in an upscale neighborhood, there are many small, intimate restaurants within walking distance.
  • Great place to stay, as advertised. Central location, easy access to city center. Clean, spacious with everything you need and good wifi. Would recommend and stay again.

    Kyle2017-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's place was perfect. It was comfortable and the location is great. It was very clean and bright. The outdoor patio is quaint and perfect for an evening glass of wine. We had no problem finding parking nearby. We would stay here again.

  • Michaels place was a cozy, clean and comfortable 2 night stay! Easy directions and awesome Location - walking distance to everything you could possibly want or need, in a beautiful part of the city! Nice private adorable patio in back was also nice to relax on after a long day of exploring. Would definitely recommend staying here for a single person or couple :)

    Kristin2016-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautifully decorated apartment in a fantastic location. Michael was so helpful, allowing us to leave our bags before and after we checked out, and responding to our messages within minutes!

    Kate2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Location was great, we could and did walk everywhere. Space has a lot of street noise, but that is typical for downtown space. We had an issue that the sheets and inflator were not available to use the air mattress, so had to make the couch work. We enjoyed our stay.

    Susan2018-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Cozy stay

    Karolina2016-12-01T00:00:00Z

  • Michael's apartment is beautiful, well decorated, cozy and in a perfect location. I would absolutely stay here again if I'm in the area! Located around lots of resturants, shops and Rittenhouse Square.

  • Glenn was really helpful! I had never used air b&b before. He replied to every message quickly and helped us with anything that we needed to know. Glenn’s place is clean and tidy and had a nice little outside area with a hammock. The upstairs room is pretty funky and looks ace! There are a set of steep stairs you have to get up, but we did it! Glenn was also very helpful when it came to check out! Ace stay would recommend!

  • Stylish apartment with comfy beds, in walking distance from the city center. We loved it! Great place to stay for a couple of days. Glenn not only provides a nice clean apartment, but also hands out tips for sightseeing, parking and restaurants. We had a lovely trip, and we’d stay at Glenn’s again next time in Philly!

    Renée2018-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Glenn’s place! It was in a greats neighborhood and we found it easy to walk wherever we wanted to go. The space was just right for two of us, with the two floors giving us our own private space.

This fun studio, located on the third floor of a historic brownstone, is ideal for any type of traveler. It's full kitchen, comfortable memory foam mattress, smart TV, and high speed internet make it a great place for either work or leisure travel.
It's Rittenhouse Square, so everything's here: restaurants, shopping, best of Philly.
  • Studio was exactly as advertised. No frills, but quiet and comfortable and in a lovely neighborhood. A good place to stay if you're going to be spending most of your visit exploring the city! If you're driving into the city, street parking around Rittenhouse Square is hard to find and the garage rates are very high. We were disappointed to realize the TV didn't have cable and could only be used for Netflix, Hulu, etc (which we couldn't connect), but overall our first Airbnb experience was a good one. Thank you!

    Karaline2015-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was as described in pictures and descriptions. Bob was prompt in communicating with our needs despite the fact that he was traveling himself. The location of the apartment was phenomenal. We also really appreciated the fact that the apartment was clean! I would definitely stay here again!

    Hails2015-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Bob's place is great! The location is perfect and the apartment is clean, spacious, and very nicely decorated. I didn't meet Bob, but his neighbor let us into the apartment without a hitch and Bob's was very responsive to emails. Thanks for a great stay!

    Sarah2015-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful and clean apartment, with amazing AC (which was integral given the humidity during our stay). The shower also had wonderful pressure (again brilliant due to the heat). Felt incredibly secure in the apartment and the location was brilliant and really accessible.

    Luke2018-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Bob's apartment was a great jumping off point for a weekend in Philly – close to everything in Rittenhouse and easy to walk around Center City. Bob (and his daughter, who dropped off the keys) were very responsive and accommodating to our arrival time changing. A great spot!

    Katie2015-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Pros- great safe neighbourhood, lots of great bars and restaurants around, very centrally located for getting around (most of the big sights are 20-30 min walk away or a very cheap uber/lyft), quiet, very reasonable nightly price (add ons were a lot!), mostly as described, well appointed, great wifi, great amount of space, bed was very comfy! Cons- dirty! The cleaning fee of nearly half the nightly cost was exorbitant given the state of the place. It was perfectly habitable however I found dirty used band aids in the middle of the floor, hairs in the bed, mold all over the shower/bath grouting, stain ring inside the tub and broken toilet roll holder. Communication from host could have been better (a couple of my messages were ignored and he said he'd message me when apartment was ready for check in but he didn't- I just waited an extra hour after 4pm time and turned up hopeful and could get in) however I think if I'd pushed for more communication he would likely have been amenable as he did pass on lots of great and relevant information. The skylight, while pretty, is directly overhead of the bed and has no covering so if light wakes you up, you'll be up at sunrise like I was. Overall I would maybe consider staying there again for just one night because the location was so great however I'd definitely look around to see if there was anything at a similar price point nearby.

    Rosemary2016-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Overall, the hosts was accommodating, polite, helpful and attentive. The studio is like pic, but the pictures do not do it justice! It's an awesome spot. Location is superb. Safe and close to almost all.

    Maciel2015-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Bob's place was fantastic- comfortable and clean, and in a perfect location. Really easy to walk to most places around the city and tons of restaurants/shopping nearby. Bob was friendly and easy to get ahold. We would definitely stay here again!

  • We loved our stay at this beautiful apartment which is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood. Denise's recommendations were spot on ( Monsu restaurant was fantastic.) You will not be disappointed.

    David2016-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great space for staying in Philly. We cooked dinner and my friend who lives in the neighborhood came over with his 2 children to eat with us. Smoke detectors tried to discourage us but we managed well. (I would have grilled but the gas canisters for grill were empty.) Bed was super comfy and having two bathrooms made our early departure all that much easier. Was sorry it was raining as the patio courtyard has all the charms you could want for a night in Philly. Would definitely stay again.

    Christopher2018-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great host very responsive, 5 stars align around. Place is exactly as described she made sure to take care of everything you may need! Will definitely stay here anytime I'm in Philly.

    Tea2016-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was awesome, great location in a quiet area of the city with plenty of great eats nearby. The host provided a very clean home with plenty of attention to detail to make the stay even better . The green pamphlet in the kitchen personalized with instructions and suggested places of interest was an awesome touch. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us, and we appreciate the care that you take in making this a GREAT place to stay if you ever decide to stay in Philly. thank you!!!

    Ian2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Denise was an amazing host! She was super communicative and flexible with our schedule, and left us great tips for enjoying the neighborhood (accompanied by coffee and a bottle of wine!) We felt very welcome, and loved the location (just blocks from the Italian Market) and the house. It was perfect for our needs, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The cute courtyard was bonus! We would recommend it to anybody visiting Philadelphia.

    Amy2015-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures are amazing, but the real thing, somehow, is even better. One bedroom even has a ceiling window! Also, walking distance to everything, including the awesome South St.

    Phan2018-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely space, near everything great in downtown Philly...

    Troy2016-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was my very first airbnb experience and it has been nothing short of magical. Denise is a great communicator and she was so helpful. Her apartment is thoughtfully decorated and it really embodies the spirit of old-town Philadelphia - the pictures really don't do it justice. I would definitely stay here again! :D
