The neighborhood was beautiful and relaxing. Perfect retreat away from the city. The hiking trail was great. Cabs and Ubers struggle to get to the area for some reason and it was about 15/20 mins to get a ride. The host was lovely very interested in making sure we were comfortable.

Deirdre and Steven were very warm/welcoming/helpful and made us feel at home. (Her daughter was also very cute.) Nice to have snacks and beverages available at all times too :-) The house is very charming and has beautiful touches everywhere. The Victorian room was comfy and having the balcony was a real plus. We sat out there every morning drinking our coffee and looking through the trees at the bay. 4th of July we even got to see fireworks from the balcony. We enjoyed having a walking trail backing up to the property. Discount for Grasso's in town was another plus- dinner and music there were great! Perfect location to visit family in Huntington. We had a great time.

My host offered to bring my luggage in, and then I had the most charming tour of the house by Deirdre's little daughter. This was a wonderful stay in a Victorian style New England home overlooking the Harbor. The room is spacious, posh, cosy, and warm. There is a beautiful terrace next to the room looking over at CSHL. Deirdre was very hospitable, sophisticated, and helpful. The guests are offered beverages, beer, and wine in the evening, and light breakfast with excellent coffee in the morning. I definitely recommend staying here when in Long Island.

Deirdre's welcome was very professional, she would be a great role model for other Airbnb homes. The home was everything we expected and some, professionally furnished and decorated and great supplies of healthy snacks, coffee, wine and beer. The location would be hard to match, a short walk to the village of Cold Spring Harbor and short drive to the town of Huntington. This would be a great place for sailors to take a night ashore as the anchorage of Cold Spring Harbor is across the street.

It was again a great pleasure to stay with Deirdre. She is always taking care to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. I liked it very much. The house is great, the area is very beautiful. And Deirdre offered free fruits, coffee and tea for breakfast. I do not need more.

Shippman's Cottage at Kerber's Farms is a magical place to stay. Close to town but, secluded and quiet it is an ideal retreat The staff at the Farm stand/Cafè were amazing. Their service is impeccable ! I am more specific in my needs than most when travelling and Nick has seen to it that my needs are met. He is personal in his manor of communicating which I appreciate. The place is also clean and free of allergens, dust, mold, etc and is decorated in a high end country quaint yet chic manor. I will definitely be visiting again in the future. The cottage is decorated with wonderful taste, although located in a remote and somewhat wild environment. The adjacent farm store is a very helpful addition as stores are far and absolutely not reachable without a car - they bake amazing pies. The fireplace is marvelous and gives the final touch to the coziness of this cottage in the woods.

Was absolutely wonderful and would happily stay again! Perfect for a relaxing stay outside the city in a quaint cottage behind a farm. Nick is a wonderful host and all the staff inside Kerber's farm are just as considerate. Would recommend for anyone who is looking for a relaxing stay in a rustic yet contemporary atmosphere.

What a lovely cottage! Private, and yet a 100 meter walk to a beautiful country store/deli/organic provisions store. Close to quaint Huntington shops and bars, eat fresh oysters at Oyster Bay, an hour train ride from Penn Station and the action and bustle of NYC. It's the perfect New York AirBnB spot for a relaxed vacation!

elle's place was very comfortable and cozy. my fiance and i arrived after 12am and elle was more than greatful to have us. the neighborhood was amazing, many shops, boutiques and restaurants were a step away. also the kittys are super friendly. elle is definately a suoer host

Our hostess and her husband are lovely and warm people, who let you feel very welcome in their cozy space. They are situated just above a great Argentinian restaurant, and are only a 3 min walk away from The Paramount (where we saw a great band perform live, New Years Eve, while staying at Elle's). So her location is really neat and walk-able to everything interesting in Huntington. Her price is great too and good for the area. She pampers her guests and provides them with snacks, smiles and the coziest of beds. Her three cats will greet you very warmly, so you definitely have to be happy in kitty companionship if you choose to stay here. They are super cute cats; be prepared for them to play with you and snuggle. If you are an animal lover, looking for a comfy place to stay in a youthful and eclectic neighborhood, then you should book with them. :)

Ella is nice and awaited me till 3:00AM in the early morning for my checking in duo to my late arrival after airport. Ella arranged good cleaning and room tidy daily. Very friendly hosts, we kept to ourselves so they didn't bother us. The cats are very friendly! Comfortable bed, in the heart of Huntington without being too loud. We came for a concert at the Paramount and it was perfect proximity. Lots of great shops, food, and free parking.

Ro and her boyfriend Prince were great hosts. They greeted us immediately upon arrival and were very welcoming. They were always open to our requests by Airbnb text or call. The room itself was very nice and private, and immaculate. Very few noise disturbances. The only complaint was the beds weren't the most comfortable as the mattresses and pillows were thin. But for $50 it was a great overall experience

Tara is a gracious, accommodating, and thoughtful air bnb host. Her house is situated in beautiful Huntington, and you essentially have the upstairs floor which contains a kitchen, a "master" bedroom, a smaller bedroom right across the corridor, and a full bathroom with a PHENOMENAL couch in the living room. There is free wifi. The doors all lock, which makes it quite secure, and parking is out front in the driveway, which was so convenient. Tara was so kind to provide some excellent maps and a destination book with all of the key areas nearby, as well as some other magazines and a hilarious birthday-meaning book. Lastly, what seemed like a cherry-on-top, was the provision of milk in addition to the pots and pans and cups and everything else needed for the kitchen which was so kind of her to do. Overall, EXCELLENT stay, and I highly recommend for the future.

Harbor Rose is a place of rare respite from the hustle of New York. A nautical mystique envelops the historical victorian house at the head of Cold Spring Harbor. Diedre provides first class accommodations, the privacy of a boutique manhattan hotel and hospitality of a family home. Never intrusive, frequently visible and always available make this hostess the mostest. Friendly woods surround ample lawn which surrounds the seafarers mansion. Eat out in the quaint village or others in proximate distance equally characteristic of colonial Long Island or use the guest refrigerator and Diedre's spacious well-equipped kitchen. The Rose has sitting rooms and nooks and crannies for whatever indoor activity you fancy. In and out or up and down this place is the great.

We have stayed in several b&b's and motels in Cold Spring Harbor over the past 10 years and Harbor Rd was far and away the best. The house is lovely and tasfully maintained. Thoughroom was on the 3rd floor, it was bright, airy and quite private. The location is perfect: beautiful views of the harbor, within biking distance of the village and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. The "breakfast" part was a bit skimpy- good fruit, coffee and tea, but yogurt and a muffin would have been nice. We'lledge finitely be back.

Diana was really nice and welcoming. She offered us a glass of wine and some great restaurant suggestions. She was not there when we got to the house but I called her and she called me back immediately, giving me instructions and making sure we were ok. The room is comfortable and cute and the house is located in a nice and quiet neibourhood, near the center of Huntington village (10mins by car).

Diana was a welcoming and cheerful host. The room, however, was a bit messy. The bed is not great. Don't come here if you are sensitive to what you sleep on.

We only spend one night at Diana's beautiful and really cozy place, but we had a great time. Not just because Huntington is a great spot for exploring the wonderful beaches of Fire Island, but also Diana was a super nice host and a great company when we were sitting on her lovely terrace and we felt like home.

Robert was great and his generously sized apartment was more than enough space for me! The lication was ideal as it was around the corner from my daughters house. Quiet neighborhood just a wink from a park, only a 10 minute drive to quaint Huntington, or 3 minutes to Greenlawn. I really enjoyed touring the Vanderbuilt Mansion, too. You are 7 minute drive from the LIRR which gets you to Penn Station in 45 to 55 minutes! Great value and great host!

It was a very last minute trip, due to a death in the family. everything was just as we expected from the description and photos. We would definitely stay here again! Great value for the money! Robert was a considerate host, even leaving snacks and drinks. The accommodations are everything you need on a nice quiet street. I enjoyed my stay. The one caveat is that if you're sensitive to smells, you may be put off. There's a faint musty smell that is covered by air fresheners. I have a terrible sense of smell, but if my wife had been there, it would have bothered her.
