Places to stay in Poljubinj
This unique space is container turned into a complete artisan-built mini-home, with all furniture hand-crafted from locally sourced wood and resources. It has all the features you'd expect in a home: bathroom with shower, bed for two, kitchen with sink, fridge, and induction hob, and a comfy sofa; all set in a smartly designed layout to maximize space without sacrificing comfort and convenience. Add in the large terrace and even larger garden and you've found your own private tiny paradise!
A local carpenter/builder/artist designed and crafted this entire tiny house using primarily local-sourced products. The warm, nature-inspired decor has you feeling part of the surrounding forest, while ensuring the comforts of home. The large terrace with dining table and chairs overlooking the private fenced garden offer a secret paradise within the stunning natural setting of the Soca Valley. A half hour hike to a 30 meter waterfall starts outside the garden gate, and a refreshing natural pool fed by our local stream and mini-waterfall is just steps away. We offer our own personalized guidebook of the area, along with options for tasting and purchasing local produce. Although designed for couples, we consider families with small children as well. This idyllic retreat is truly unique and for those seeking something more than ordinary.
The Tiny House is located a village's edge, allowing for almost complete isolation and privacy, but without the stressful drive into the wilderness. Grocery stores, cafes, pharmacies, and restaurants are just a five minute drive (20-25 minute walk) away in the town of Tolmin. The Tiny House features a natural soundtrack of a running stream 24 hours a day, and includes its own refreshing natural pool complete with waterfall visible from the kitchen window. Several walks are possible from the front door, including a hike to a 30 meter waterfall just 30 minutes upstream from the stream next to the property, and roughly 15 minutes downstream you reach the gorgeous turquoise Soca River; another 10 minutes and you reach the confluence of the Tolminka and Soca Rivers in a place of spectacular beauty where many festivals and concerts are held throughout the year. Several other gorge hikes and waterfalls are within a 10 minute drive, and a family owned adrenaline sport company are just on the other side of Tolmin for any of your rafting/kayaking/paragliding needs.
  • Lawrence gave us advice on Tolmin's top tips. The tiny house is tastefully furnished and comfortable for size.

  • The tiny house is really small but it has everything you will need for your stay. In the morning you can open the window and enjoy the view. Wonderful!

  • We really enjoyed staying at the Tiny House. It's super cozy, functional and beautifully designed. It's just so awesome waking up next to a forest and having nature at your doorstep. Katrina and Lawrence are happy to give out tips on local hikes and are in general just really welcoming. I only wish we could've stayed there a bit longer. :)

  • A truly magical little stay at the end of a peaceful village. Nature and adventure on your doorstep and everything you need for a comfortable cosy stay. We loved our time in the Tiny House and highly recommend it to nature lovers looking for some quiet time away. Forest directly behind the house and waterfalls only 20min walk away, shops and restaurants only a 5 min drive. Lots of lovely suggestions from the hosts and some thoughtful little touches that made our stay extra special.

  • We love the Tiny House! It’s in such a beautiful location, you can fall asleep to the sound of the little waterfall beside the house, which is incredibly peaceful. Such a wonderful place to unwind, or explore! You chose! The garden is so relaxing and has the cutest details. Katrina was SO helpful and kind and attentive and really went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay for longer!!

    Sarah2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED the tiny house. It was the perfect base for exploring the region, we only wish we had a few extra days up our sleeves to really get to know the place. The house was very well located, quiet, comfortable and clean. It was also stunning, unique, interesting and quirky - a real Airbnb gem. Lawrence and Katrina’s communication was brilliant and they were warm and helpful with tips and hits about the area. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND both the Soca Valley area and the tiny house. Thank you!

  • The views from Gregor’s house are expansive, gorgeous and calming! This house is the perfect place to unwind and take in all that the valley has to offer. We didn’t get to use the outside deck as it was too cold but the big glass windows ensured uninterrupted views. Gregor has built this modern, comfortable house with so much attention to detail – there was plenty of space for four of us and we had absolutely everything we needed. The house is located in an area where there is plenty to do and see as well as being within driving distance of a supermarket. Gregor is a friendly, attentive host who invests time in his guests ensuring that they enjoy his house and experience the area. This “Nature View House” is a gem!

    Lyn2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • We spent a week in December at beautiful Nature View House and really enjoyed our time there. Gregor put a lot of thought into the place. Nothing better than having the first cup of coffee in the morning out on the terrace and enjoy the view (though you can do that lounging on the sofa too). Of course we loved the three cute pet-goats! Gregor was super attentive, giving a lot of tipps and even organising a trail riding trip for us. We definitely want to come back again when its warmer (temperature during the day was around 8-10°c, okay for doing some hiking).

    Nastassja2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • It is even better than the pictures on Airbnb. The view was gorgeous :) Gregor was very friendly and helpful with tips in the area. There are a lot of activities to do in the area and the supermarket is close by car. And the goats are funny. I really recommend this place.

    Steven2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Gregor's house is a joy to stay in - the views out over the Slovenian countryside are beautiful and the scenery and country is amazing. The house has everything you need and it was brilliant that Gregor spent a couple of hours with us showing the places of local interest and even helping us mark them on Google Maps to make them easy to find! Even more generous was the offer to use any and all sports equipment in the garage and the canoe down on the truly incredible Soca river. We were also bowled over by the generosity of the neighbours - the water went off on the second evening (turned out it was scheduled maintenance) and the nearest neighbour couldn't have been more helpful in offering water from a spring supply they have! Truly a magical place to stay.

  • Clean. New accomodation. Great view. Sauna! We were there with 7 guys... Lot of Fun and great expirience!

    Dirk2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Gregor is the greatest host ever! Not only has he agreed to meet us late at night (11pm) to make sure that find the place ok, he’s also greeted us with a bottle of Prosecco! He’s also gave us some tips on things to see and was just a phone call / text away if we needed anything else. The views from the house are breathtaking! It was 7 of us the house was big enough for all of us to feel comfortable.

    Vita2019-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • The place is modern and very comfortable. The panoramic view of the mountains is breathtaking and worth chilling and looking at it all day.

Tolmin is the largest town and an administrative centre of the Soča river valley. It features a high school and an excellent library and its greatest attractions are the old town centre, great sports facilities and the Museum of Tolmin where one can explore the history of the whole Posočje region. Only a short walk from the town we can admire the untamed Tolmin gorges, the lowest entrance into the Triglav National Park, and a few kilometres away we can see Javorca, the most beautiful monument from the times when the First World War unleashed upon the Posočje region. It was entered into the list of European cultural heritage in 2006. The Tolmin municipality consists of several regions. One can explore the story of Most na Soči, the famous archaeological site by a picturesque lake, by taking a walk along the cultural [&] historical path. The valley of Idrijca river is a popular spot among summer swimmers. Trebuša is famous for its secluded country homes, gorges and waterfalls. In addition to a breathtaking view, the plateau Šentviška planota also features the splendid Mary’s Church – one of the last creations of the renowned architect Plečnik. In addition to ordinary trains, a museum train (steam-powered) and a car train (the most comfortable way of travelling between Bohinj and Bled) traverse Baška Grapa on the more than a century old tracks. The tradition of alpine cattle ranches and with them the famous Tolmin cheese still survives in the surrounding mountain pastures. The Tolmin gorges are Tolmin’s most important sight of nature. The Tolmin gorges are the lowest and southernmost entry point into the Triglav National Park and Tolmin’s most important sight of nature. The most prominent attractions are the wedged rock named Bear's Head and the Devil’s Bridge, 60 metres high above the bluish Tolminka River. Thermal spring There is a thermal spring in the short horizontal cave under the Devil’s bridge, with an average temperature of between 18.8 and 20.8 °C (the temperature of the Tolminka River is 5 to 9 °C). Devil’s Bridge Devil’s Bridge (Hudičev most) and the road leading to the village of Zadlaz Čadrg were commissioned in 1907 by the Tolmin mayor’s office. The bridge was originally made of wood, and was later, under the Italian government, replaced with iron. At that time the bridge was given its name that is still used today. Devil’s Bridge is a common name for bridges in Slovenia that cross narrow, deep gorges. The Confluence of the Tolminka and the Zadlaščica, the lowest point of The Triglav National Park The two rivers then widen and merge into, what is in fact the only confluence of gorges in Slovenia. This confluence (“Sotočje”) lies at approximately 180 m above sea-level and is the lowest point of the Triglav National Park. The marble trout in the Zadlaščica The Zadlaščica is a sanctuary for marble trout. The »Bear’s head« and skakalce Medvedova glava is the name of a natural bridge – a large rock which got stuck, who knows when, between the walls of the Zadlaščica canyon. The rock covered with moss aroused the imagination of human beings long, long ago – indeed, it looks like a hairy bear’s head. Since the water of the Zadlaščica literally jumps from one pool to another, it creates picturesque cascades flowing through the gorge which is why the locals started calling it Skakalce or in English “the Jumps”. The cave of Zadlaška jama (Dante’s cave) The cave of Zadlaška jama, named after the village Zadlaz, is one of several caves through which the waters of the Soča glacier flowed. This cave complex is 1.140 m long, 41 m deep and boasts three halls. The Triglav National Park is one of the oldest European parks and the only national park in Slovenia. It is among the earliest parks to have been established in the Alps and one of the greatest natural treasures of Slovenia. The park was founded in 1906. Its current size was adopted in 1981 and now covers the area of the Eastern Julian Alps (84,000 hectares). The highest point of the park is the peak of Mt. Triglav (2864 m), which also gave the park its name, whilst its lowest point lies in Tolmin Gorges (180 m). The main objective of the park is to protect and to preserve the outstanding natural and cultural values which can be found among the Alpine peaks, in crystal clear waters, deep-cut gorges, the remains of virgin forests, rich Alpine flowers and the typical animal kingdom and in the outstanding cultural and historical heritage of the area.
  • Probably the nicest hostel we have ever stayed in! The house is amazing, perfect kitchen, great outdoor area and all very clean and inviting. The hostess is very knowledgeable in the area and can give you a lot of tips and is very happy to help!

  • Beautiful property, can hardly be classified as a hostel except for the dorms. Felt more like a hotel. Wonderful relaxed vibe, great patio covered by grape vines. Wish we had stayed for at least two nights. Great place to relax and unwind after the crowds of Bled or Bohinj, or the hiking in the Julian Alps.

    Kyle2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely recommendable accommodation if you want to go hiking or cycling in the area. Beautiful landscape and great activities in the vicinity. The rooms and bathroom were very clean and tidy, the breakfast small but nice. In the hostel there were good tips for hiking or excursions.

  • I was on a small tour around Slovenia here and have felt very comfortable! The staff was really exceptional friendly and helpful - the atmosphere was familiar! As far as the facilities are concerned: Apparently everything was recently renovated - top and very clean! At over 30 degrees I was glad in late June about the air conditioning in the room. In the very clean and well-equipped kitchen or the lounge you can cook and enjoy the delicious breakfast in the morning. To the place Tolmin: The hostel is optimally to explore the valley with its highlights (the river Soca), on foot it is only about 40 minutes to the Tolmin Gorges (definitely visit!) In just 45 minutes you are also in the sweet Italian village Cividale del Friuli. I also took a day trip to Piran to the Mediterranean. I can recommend the hostel unreservedly!

  • Top location, many possibilities to do something in the immediate vicinity. The house was clean and equipped with everything you need.

    Michael2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely stunning place to stay. The view from the porch alone is worth the visit. We spent many mornings staring at the view in wonder (it certainly helps the recovery after MetalDays!) Daniella is incredible and was always available for questions and help. The only thing worth noting is the hill up to žabče is very steep so if your coming from a festival by the soča definitely get a cab ride from uroš or Marco. An amazing stay and we can’t wait to come back !

    Ally2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • A delightful accomodation, authentic residential area. Tolmin is a great starting point to experience the Triglav National Park. You have to take a bit of driving time every now and then, but there is no trace of tourism, unlike in Kobarid or Bovec. A great way to get to know the country and its people! The house is simple and beautiful. We spent many great evenings on the terrace. The sanitary facilities are up to date, the decor is rustic, everything is very clean.

  • We really enjoyed our stay here. Danjela was very welcoming and gave us a lot of tips. The house was very big and comfortable and it had the perfect location to reach all important attractions. The house is also very convenient for couples, you have two big bathrooms with nice showers. We would stay here again.

    Nadine2019-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very nice. We were a group of 5 traveling by motorcycles and we enjoyed our stay there. The yard is nice the house is spacious and clean. There are hiking trails nearby, easily accessible The only downside is that it is a bit far from the town center (around 20 minutes, on foot). We would stay here again!

Holiday cottage with 1 bedroom on 80m² in Tolmin
In the Soča Valley there is a renovated house of typical architecture of the local settlements. On the ground floor there is a large kitchen and dining room with access to a smaller garden, partially shaded by a pergola, below which is a larger table and garden furniture and a convenient barbecue for food preparation. The garden also has a whirlpool and a smaller resting place. The sauna is directly connected to the smaller bathroom with access to the garden. Upstairs is a large master bedroom that has a high ceiling and offers beautiful views of the surrounding hills. The house is ideal for families and all those who like to spend an active vacation because there is a large selection of attractive, adrenaline and sports facilities nearby. Just 30 meters from the house there are children's playgrounds for all the villagers. Nearby are the Tolmin Gorges, which are the lowest and probably the most beautiful entry point into the Triglav National Park. Tolminka is a beautiful and lively river of intensely blue color, which in Tolmin influences into the emerald beauty - the Soča River. The Soča River and the Tolminka River, both in close proximity, offer an abundance of activities such as rafting, kayaking, canoeing, river fishing and emerald water swimming.

  • The accommodation of Romina is really nice, big and clean and equipped with everything you need to settle in and cook! The property is a few minutes walk from the waterfall Beri, which I would personally like to see as a tip, great climb and all alone! No barrier, so you could have gone swimming. The location in general is great, the weather is better than for example in Bovec and you do not drive far to the Tolmin Klamm, Kozjak waterfall or swimming in Nadiza, soca or the lake at Kanal ob soci! The area and accommodation are worth the trip!

    Louisa2019-08-27T00:00:00Z

  • Everything great. The accommodation corresponds to the description. Everything went smoothly.

    Roman2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Romina made check in easy, and included a short note about the basics. The note included some suggested destinations. We particularly liked getting water from the spring just over the bridge, and we also made good use of the basketball court that was very nearby.

  • Thank you for the nice stay in Slovenia. It was really beautiful, in the house itself was everything we needed. The bathroom and bedroom were very clean. Only the spiders (which you can not but prevent) have a little clouded the stay.

  • Clean and quiet accommodation. Tolmin is within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay.

  • Amazing location, experience and hospitality!!

    Bo2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had a lovely stay in Romina's home! It was clean, the beds were comfortable, nice outdoor sitting area. Would recommend!

    Miriam2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We spend bit over a week in end of June/start of July at Romina's place with family of five. Our kids are from 12 to 16 years. There was plenty of room in the apartment and it was clean and had all the equipment needed for cooking yourself as well. The location is in a small town next to bigger town Tolmin, which has restaurants and shops. There is lot of festivals from outdoor to music and art in Tolmin so it's worth checking what there is going on when you are planning to be there. Recommend having a car to be able to move easier. We found the location good for exploring Slovenia. It was around two hours drive to both north (Bled and Kranjska Gora) and south (Škocjan caves and seaside town Koper). Expect lot of turns and narrow roads in the mountains, but driving was ok as there wasn't that much traffic at the time. There is also beautiful places in Tolmin recommending especially Tolmin Gorges and of course river Soča and also good possibilities for outdoor activities like hiking and mountain biking. We are from Finland so we were ok to swim in Soča river, but also drove couple of times near Robič to swim in bit warmer Nadiža river.

  • I recommend this apartment without reservation. The view of the river is beautiful and we greatly benefited from our meals on the terrace. It is very well equipped, clean, quiet while being close to shops and restaurants. Parking in front of the house is a real plus, even if the arrival is done by rather narrow streets. Welcome to the top from Ervina and Ivan who are really friendly and smiling. We regretted staying only 2 nights.

    Isabelle2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We have enjoyed our 4 nights stay at Ervina's place. The house is spacious and has an amazing view. Tolmin has a lot of supermarkets and other shops. When we arrived with our young kids, they advised on the best place for them to sleep. They also advised on the best activities. We highly recommend their apartment for discovering the region.

It is close to the city center (2 min walking) and a great starting point for excursions.Guests must pay turistic tax and promotion tax when they arrive to place.
  • Really positive and also unexpected stay, not only for the kindness and cleanliness and availability of the host but also for the location of the house. Tolmino is located a stone's throw from Caporetto and the places of the great war and we knew this. What we did not know is that there are some wonderful gorges in Tolmin that we recommend visiting even in winter when there are no tourists and the environment is lovely. nearby two typical restaurants at a really cheap price and also a supermarket within walking distance.

    Giovanna2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful apartment close to some fantastic walking routes. The apartment itself has two spacious bedrooms and a decent hall area, which turned out to be very useful when you have a lot of luggage. The heating was very quick to come on, which was appreciated in the colder evenings. Very cosy and in a quiet neighbourhood. Would definitely recommend!

  • We really enjoyed our stay in Evgen’s place. We found it comfortable, spacious and relaxing. Evgen seemed to have really thought about what was needed to have a great stay. The place had been renovated and we appreciated the very comfy large bed, lots of pillows, good WiFi, air con unit, the fully equipped kitchen and handy washing machine. Evgen was lovely and friendly when we met him and he had kindly left us some homegrown vegetables from his garden which we used over the few days we were there. Very close to bars, restaurants, the bus station and a supermarket. We enjoyed walking to the gorges and the confluence of the Soca and Tolminka rivers. Highly recommended 😀

  • We came from Gorizia, Italy to Tolmin all in a day. We had trouble getting there because we didn’t know how to use the buses and trains but figured it out using the helpful websites Monika our host had sent us. Once in Tolmin we had a 5 star experience at Monika’s house. We did not meet her, but had some housemates that were great and we saw Monika’s mother once when she came to make the house warm with a fire. Monika is very easily reached by messaging and she provided so many local tips on things to do in Tolmin, all outdoors and even things to do if it was raining. We had everything we needed and were able to cook full meals and had our private room. The bathroom was shared and the only bummer was not being able to do clothes wash for free. She had a book she made for you to read with all of the rules when you come so make sure to follow those and all is good! We would probably stay again if visiting Tolmin. The bed was comfortable and the pillows and it was nice and quiet in the town and neighborhood. Close to small and big stores, pharmacy, bus station and a 30 min or so walk to the gorges! Easy access to train station via the company Nomago bus.

    Breanna2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Monika's place is lovely! Awesome location within walking distance of town (with yummy and affordable pizza and gelato), a castle on a hill, 2 beautiful rivers, and the Tolmin Gorge. We were in heaven:) Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Monika in person, but we experienced her warmth and hospitality through the thoughtful touches throughout the apartment (including very comfy pillows) as well through her good communication. We really enjoyed staying in her home and would highly recommend it!

    Hannah2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Monika's place gave us a lot more than we hoped for at first. She has plenty of information for tourist, but also gave us enough recommendations for hiking trips, lovely restaurants and even cool activities that are a bit more unknown. Our stay couldn't be better!

    Lisan2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Tolmin. The apartment is very clean and cosy and Monika is a really lovely host. She gave us a lot of good tipps for discovering the beautiful surrounding.

    Jacqueline2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay. There is nothing missing and there is even a balcony for everyone. The location is a bit out of the way but nice and quiet. My son and I felt very well :)

    Pia2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Monika's. The self check-in was very smooth and quite confortable. The room is comfortable and agreeable. We only saw Monika on the Saturday as she was away working, but our encounter was really nice. She is very friendly and offered us great recommendations for things to do on our last day reachable by foot and bus. One thing : if you are travelling without a car or a bicycle, check the bus schedule when organising your stay because it can be tricky if you want to explore the Soca valley up! (But it is still manageable)

While staying in this house built in the 1970's you can experience part of the Most na Soči history ranging from the Iron Age to the socialist times of Yugoslavia: in a small radius around the house archaeologists have found remains from the Iron and Bronze Age, and there are preserved founds of a Roman villa rustica (just across the street from the house). Most na Soči is a small village by a beautiful artificial lake on the magical Soča river, and a perfect base for exploring the Soča Valley.
The house itself was built literally by my grandparents' hands as one of the typical Yugoslavian family houses – the same plan could be found from Slovenia to Macedonia in that time. In the apartment, especially in the kitchen, there is much of the original furniture and equipment, including some pieces from the then legendary manufacturers. But you will come across some unique touches added by my hand around the apartment, too. The place is located only 2 km from the train station. If I am at home and available, I can come to pick you up by car, just let me know about this and about the exact time one day before arrival. You can also follow a path through the woods and take a lovely 20 minutes walk here, if you wish so. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood (so please, be respectful to kind neighbors and make no loud noises, no parties etc.). Many nice walks are possible from here - green meadows, fields and woods are just two minutes of walk away, waiting for you to sink into their luxuriant greenery. The grocery shop, cafes, post office and bus station are only 7 minutes of walk away. There's a free private parking in front of the house. You will get the house and the bedroom keys for a carefree moving around. Fresh towels, bed linen and free Wi-Fi are provided, as well as shampoo and some other bathroom essentials. Washing laundry in the washing machine is possible, but is not included in the price. The price is 5 € per washing. The apartment is also a home to two quite shy cats, Miloš and Murva (who use to hop around the garden, too). This is not a suitable home for those with cat allergies and I can't host your pets neither, unfortunately.
Most na Soči offers many possibilities for walking and hiking (by the Soča river, through the woods and across the meadows, up the hills). You can take a boat cruise on the lake. If you wish something more than touching the river surface only, some river beaches are rather close. You can try tasty water from the spring which has been told through generations to be a healing one. The village is a good base for discovering the region (rivers, waterfalls, brooks, monuments, museums, mountain pastures and mountains - my mother is a local guide, so we can give you some more info on these), but in this case a car will be needed (you can't reach all those monuments by public transport).
  • Cozy, quiet and very friendly!

  • I spent my first night in slovenia at this lovely place, where I have felt instantly very welcome. Tinka is a wonderful host and creates an atmosphere full of warmth and kindness. Tinkas home is a very nice, peaceful and quiet place, with a beautiful garden and two cats. Its very cozy and full of creativity (you will find a piano in your room and there lots of little things and lovely details which are worth to discover). Thanks to Tinkas invaluable tips, I was able to explore very nice spots in the surroundings (and there are a lot of them). Thanks for your and hospitality and the best start in Slovenia I could imagine, Tinka!

  • Tinka has a beautiful, inspiring home (we loved the little story-booklet about the house) in a beautiful surrounding. Tinka is a welcominig host, she helped us out with every question we had and told us some interesing details to Most na Soci. We felt all at home at your place Tinka - thank you!

  • Our stay in Most na Soci was really nice. Tinka is a warm and lovely hostess. She is very knowledgeable in the whole environment and always has really good tips for trips or restaurants. The room and the private bathroom are very lovingly decorated and were very clean. The Küchenmitbenugzung is absolutely no problem. Everything was there, what we needed. Most na Soci is a good starting point for trips to the Soca Valley. To Tolmin you need about 5 minutes. 30 minutes to Kobarid and 45 minutes to Bovec. Thanks to Tinka for the great time. We felt very comfortable!

    Svenja2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The stay at Tinka's was very pleasant. We were warmly welcomed. Little touches of attention like a fruit juice awaited us in the room. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. Tinka is also really available for us. I recommend 100%.

    Lisa2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Tinka was so nice and so great at communicating with us. She left us juice in our room when we checked in! The room was spotless and very comfortable. It is in a beautiful location!

    McKinlee2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is totally worth recommending. Everything is as it should be. Beautiful location, super host, shining clean and very cozy. Tinka is an incredibly nice and sensitive person, she helped us a lot with our trips, offered us dinner as we did not have time to do it ourselves. The house is beautiful, full of colorful accents mostly handmade by Tinka. The location is amazing, anywhere near and despite the full summer season (August) where there were crowds everywhere, the Most na Soci was quiet and peaceful. We recommend for everyone :)

    Most na Soči, Tolmin, Slovenia

Similar to traditional buildings called “kozolci” or “seniki” used by farmers in the area to store hay and tools, Senko is a smaller version of both. Senko is placed at the edge of a forest just outside the village Modrejce, at the foot of the hill Cvetje and nearby the lake Most na Soči. Senko and its immediate surroundings offer peace, unspoilt nature and a total break from the crazy world. Perfect for people looking for something special.
Situated inside a small family camp SENCA slightly higher than other camping places, it boasts the unique view of the Soča valley with the turquoise lake, the blooming fields and the high Tolmin mountains in the background. A view too beautiful to describe, you simply have to experience it yourself! The surroundings offer a variety of activities, some of them featuring in the name of the camp: S (the Soča river), E (energy), N (nature), C (the hill Cvetje), A (adventure).
There are so many interesting things to see and do around here that you won't be bored - not even on rainy days. The region is also known for music festivals and sports events in July and August (Overjam reggae festival, Metaldays, Punk rock, Soča outdoor, etc.), which take place only 5 kilometres from our house (5 minutes by car). PERFECT FOR FISHERMAN: Our son Adam is a passionate fisherman and a fishing guide. He knows the hidden spots where the typical fish - the Soča trout - can be found. I'm certain you'll find something for you to enjoy - at our camping and in our valley. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
  • The tranquility, authenticity of the host and the connection with nature are enormous assets that distinguish this residence from the others. We are very pleased with this place and the welcome. We definitely recommend this location!

  • Hinko's tent and glamping space is lovely! Located by a beautiful emerald lake and a casual 15 min stroll to Most Na Soci, the area boasts a lovely tent, kitchen area and clean bathrooms. The tent itself is clean, quiet and well sheltered and sturdy. There's a double bed inside but no electricity (Hinko provided an electric lamp), charging points or wifi (but there's 4g internet reception on phone), adding to the glamping experience. The toilet and shower is a few metres walk and very clean. The camp also has fig trees and on the day on checking out, Hinko graciously offered us freshly picked figs and blueberries. All communication was prompt and easy. Overall, we loved the place and would definitely come back again. Thanks for making our stay memorable!

  • This place is beautiful. The location in the green hills and by the blue lake. We could use the double kajak for free. Definitely worth making the trip with. Hinko and his family were so warm and welcoming. We had a nice welcome with a local drink and fresh figs. We got good advice for activities. The wooden hut and toilet, shower, outside kitchen were beautifully Made and clean. Only one thing we did not expect was the sound of the road nearby. Thanks so much for the relaxing and lovely stay.

    Jasperina2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Hinko's camp is just amazing. With many thoughtfully designed, self-made buildings and interior items as well as 200% hospitality, we felt equally at home as well as in a different space - surrounded by nature. Hinko provided us with everything we needed and made our stay very memorable. We can recommend both, the great location as well as the amazing host to anyone looking for a place to relax.

    Thimo2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing stay!! Beautiful location right on the river, and Hinko was fab and helped us with everything we needed! He allowed us to use his kayak both days we were there to explore the river - defo wish we could have stayed longer!

    Abby2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • A quiet, idyllic, very natural location right on the lake with a beautiful view of the mountains. We were received very friendly with a welcome drink. The accommodation is located on a hill. There are many seating options. A small outdoor camping kitchen with hob and dishes is available. Since Hinko is a carpenter, there is a lot of wood ... from the shower to the toilet, in front of the glamping tent are tables and chairs. Fits very well to the flair. There is also a private fire pit and a possibility to grill. On the Soca you can go very well with canoe or SUP. The water was pleasantly refreshing. On foot you can easily go to the small town nearby. In which there is a small shop and a pizzeria. Thank you for the nice stay.

    Jessica2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Life at Hinko's camping is amazing! The location is beautiful and the all family is very kind. You can buy local products in the village and how Hinko said 'this is the perfect place to have a break from crazy world'! We suggest this place to anyone who want to relax and make different outdoor activities.

    Francèsco2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed this Glamping! After 1.5 weeks in a tent, such a Glamping feels wonderfully luxurious. Hinko is very hospitable. In the evening we were able to taste a delicious (homemade) mushroom pasta and a salad in the kitchen of the campsite while enjoying guitar music and good company. It was a perfect location for us to end the holiday.

The small town is wonderfully quiet and not overcrowded, right on the Soca, which forms a small lake where you can swim. Welcome, dear guests! I offer you a nice and cosy apartment. It is part of an old house with history. I renewed it in 2016 therefore I am sure it will give you good feelings and leave you with good impressions. Just come and try! Also check my new holiday house Old bakery on Airbnb. Link: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/27631201
The apartment is in the ground floor, separated from other living and business areas. It faces the side street. The parking lot is just around the house, beside the fountain. The main room with the bed and dining corner is bright with two big windows and cool thanks to thick stony walls. There's also private bathroom and the kitchen. We keep the place clean and tidy. Our priority are happy guests who want to come back.
There is special atmosphere in old part of the city. Houses are close to each other, they're made mostly of stone and some are beautifully decorated. Everything you need is on the reach: shops, restaurants, bars, post office, bus station, police station, tourist office, museum, church, park, sports center and other agencies. A very popular but not crowdy hiking path leads to the two rivers: the Soča and the Tolminka. All the festivals (Metaldays, Punk Rock Holiday, Soča outdoor festival, Overjam Reggae Festival and others) are held there.
  • The small apartment is very nicely furnished and equipped so that you can cater for yourself. It is very centrally located in Tolmin - from there shops and bars are within walking distance. Boris is a fantastic host who looks after his guests very nicely and is always approachable. So we had a great short break in Tolmin!

    Simone2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We spent three nights at Boris' apartment and had a great time. He was super friendly, gave us a lot of tipps for the area around Tolmin and even offered us to take his bikes. We would love to come back soon.

    Kai2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Boris is a great host, so nice and helpful if you need advice on where to go in the beautiful Soca valley. The apartment has everything you need and is very clean and cozy. Would definitely recommend staying here!

  • Boris is a great host. The communication was easy and he also had tipps for us about what to do. The apartement is really cute, fully equiped and super super clean. Tolmin is a nice little city. Within a short drive you reach cool spots in Triglav Nationalpark where you can go hiking, swimming, rafting,... We loved the place and would really like to come back!

Tucked away from the crowds of the Soca river valley, we enjoyed mornings on the balcony overlooking the river and nights by the cozy fire. During the day, we would drive to the different areas to explore and everything was easy to navigate. Eduard was super responsive and was kind and welcoming. 10/10 would return!

  • This is a robust and luxurious home in a small mountain village. The house is very clean, warm and with 2 beautiful bathrooms. I do not recognize the previous user's criticism. There is indeed a view from the terrace. And it doesn't smell like oil, at most when you come in. Tip: bring all groceries and a few DVDs. You will enjoy!

  • We loved staying at this beautiful old house, with all its lovely details and the beautiful area around it! The house is perfect for relaxing, it is very cosy and the bathing tubs are as great as it looks on the pictures! :) big recommendation!

  • The Carpenter's Lodge is a beautiful home high up in the mountains. Though some driving experience is required to get there, the trip is definitely worth it. Matthew is an excellent host and very friendly. We had a small hiccup with the shower and he managed to resolve it quickly. If you're okay with the Podmelec church bells that ring every morning at six, and some squirrels that walk on your roof at night, this house is a little heaven in the mountains. The bath tub, the views, the well equipped kitchen, the fire place; the Carpenters Lodge has everything to make your stay perfect. If we ever return to Slovenia, we would definitely come here again.

    Evelyne2019-09-26T00:00:00Z

Guest can use fully equipped shared kitchen.
Hostel Hildegarden is modern decorated, recently opened hostel located in the center of town Tolmin. In western Slovenia, between the rivers Soča and Tolminka, at the junction of the Soča valley, Baška grapa and Idrija valley, lies Tolmin. It was awarded the Alpine town of the year 2016 for its efforts in the field of sustainable development. For lovers of wild waters, Soča is one of the most desirable destinations in Europe. You can go to the rafting, kayaking, or other sports adventures with local sports agency guides. You will need a permit for independent navigation on the river. Rafting is the most desirable summer sport in the Soča valley. It offers you the opportunity to get to know the emerald beauty of Soča with your friends or family in a special way. Because prior knowledge is not needed, almost everyone can take the unique challenge. Sports agencies organizing downhill events provide the necessary equipment, a professional guide for safe navigation and transport to the river and back to the starting point. Picturesque gorge, waterfalls and pools can be enjoyed by visitors on a popular canyon. Canyoning or canyoning is allowed under the guidance of domestic guides on the Pršjak stream (near Trebuša) and Sušec (near Srpenica). If you are looking for the most authentic experience of the Soča river rapids and if you would like to know how to swim over the emerald waves, the river bob is the right activity for you. SUP (Stand up paddleboarding) descends with the paddleboard. In the valley of the Soča River, you can choose between exciting surfing along the Soča river waves or peaceful rowing along the lake.
  • This was a great place to stay. The room was very clean as was the bathroom and everything was very updated. The room had air-conditioning which was a huge plus. We slept great here and would definitely stay again. They had free parking and breakfast was included which was great. The host was nice and communicative. The whole hostel seemed very clean which we really appreciated. The outdoor space they have is also very nice.

If you want to wake up with a bird singing in a beautiful, green and unspoiled nature then we'll help your dream come true. Our house has a lot of stories from our ancestors but recently we adapted it and still left her soul in it.
In the House "Na kleti" there are 2 rooms named Miška and Kala and they are on the second floor. Each room has its own bathroom with shower, a double bed, TV, room Kala also a sofa. In the ground floor of the house guests can use the indoor fully equipped or outdoor covered kitchen which also has a grill. In the garden guest can also use a garden table with a bench or deckchairs.
The house is located in the valley of the Soča River in a small village named Modrejce which lies near ste Soča River and is suitable for all those who loved nature. The location has a very good starting point for various activities: from hiking through the energy waterway to mountain hiking through beautiful mountains, fly fishing, kayaking, suping, swimming, paragliding, mountain biking and more.
  • Bernarda is such a amazing host !! She really take care of us and was so nice with us. Her place is so lovely, very clean with a beautiful garden and a lake 5 min walking. I really recommend to stop at her place, you will meet such a good person for sure.

    Laurent2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • All our places to stay in Slovenia were great, but the stay with Bernarda and her husband Joze exceeded everything. From the first encounter with Bernarda we felt immediately welcome in their apartment. Bernarda is warm, open, loving and caring and has a good sense of humor, she loves company and likes to chat with you, but most of all wants to make it very comfortable and to your liking. We enjoyed our first evening with her and her husband, with local cheese, wine and beautiful vegetables from their own vegetable garden. They treated us like we were family and that immediately created a bond. The apartment itself is neat and tidy, everything you need is there and you have a view that will make you quiet for a while. There are two kitchens, an indoor and an outdoor kitchen from which you can choose and both are complete in their equipment. From the apartment it is a ten minute walk to the Soca river, breathtakingly beautiful and relaxing. We stayed with Bernarda and her husband for two nights, but we thought this could have been much, much longer, but we are grateful for the stay we had and will look back on it with a smile.

    Lyzanne2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Bernarda and Josef are incredible hosts, doing everything to make you feel at home. They are very warm and generous people. The house is newly renovated, everything clean and fresh. You have your own space (room, bathroom and kitchen - we had an amazing outdoor kitchen), and you can also make use of their garden. The area is beautiful with plenty of things to do for those who love nature. We had a great time, and definitely would have liked to stay there longer!

    Caroline2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely apartment in a idyllic setting. Bernarda and her husband are two beautiful people and incredibly welcoming. Thanks again, we had a great time.

    Adam2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Bernarda and her family are very warm hosts, it's like being at home. Typical house with garden, you can eat outside and you rest on a deckchair, a paddle is at your disposal. We highly recommend them. Thanks again to Bernarda and her husband for their welcome

    Clarisse2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Bernarda is a rare kind of host. She is an extremely welcoming person who offers not just a room but an atmosphere that feels like home and the gift of her friendship. The house is beautiful and relaxing and the location speaks for itself. We were welcomed with open arms, delicious cheese made within walking distance and a bottle of homemade žganje (which deserves it's own 5-star review). The bonus of our stay was the beautiful private kitchen (ours was the indoor kitchen) so much care and creativity has been put into the house that you cannot help but feel happy and relaxed. I cannot recommend it enough and was very sad to leave. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Bernarda and her special home.

    Elaina2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Bernarda and her husband were very friendly and gave us a warm welcome with local cheese and liquor. I also really liked the outdoor kitchen and the surroundings; a nice little village next to a beautiful lake. The apartment was neat.

    Esther2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We did a little round trip through Slovenia - and spent the best days here! The hosts are friendly and helpful and invite you for a cup of Turkish coffee to chat. The room had a private bathroom (everything just built, so new) and downstairs there is an outdoor kitchen. Since the streets are very narrow, there are even two parking spaces for cars. A dream! THIS is true hospitality! You feel good and at home!

We are located in the heart of the Soča Valley in the village of Poljubinj, 2 kilometres from Tolmin. Since we are located at the far end of the village, we offer magnificient view of the valley. You can take a short walk to a small children’s play area or get a close up glimpse of some domestic animals. For our guests we offer use of swimming pool, as well as a barbecue. Your car will be safely parked in the fenced courtyard. Our place is good for couples, families, small groups and pets.
  • Dragica is a lovely host. She was there to great us on arrival and provided help when necessary.

    Emma2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had 3 wonderful nights at Dragica. Accommodation exactly like the photos. Very hospitable, wonderful swimming pool. We were 3 adults and an adolescent.

  • Very nice place near Tolmin to spend a few days with 2 children. Nice things in the area and great to unwind at the swimming pool. The family is very friendly and would like to help you. Top!

  • Lovely place for those who want to go out and enjoy nature. The house is situated at the end of a street from where you can easily walk to Slap Beri or in to the surrounding hills and meadows. Also a good starting point for visits to Kobarid/slap kozjak, tolmin (and it's beautiful gorge) and most na soci. And if an hour drive isn't a problem, also the wine tastings in Goriska Brda are an option (I can recommend Kabaj Morel, also for lunch)

    Wout2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Dragicas place is amazing. The view, the apartment and the pool. Dragica is quick to answer questions and very helpful yet if not needed she will not impose herself. The place is very spacious and clean. It has everything one needs for a very comfortable stay. The area is lovely. I would recommend staying here!

The view from the apartment is beautiful. It is calm and relaxing. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is really nice. Dragica is very friendly and will not hesitate to advise you. But she also knows how to be discreet when we needed it. Dragica, thank you for this great stay that has contributed greatly to a successful holiday! Finally, the situation is almost perfect! The soca valley is very close as well as great places.

Specificity of the valley is the source of sulfur, which can be found next to the Trebušica. The village lies at the confluence Trebuščica and Idrijca. At the confluence of the more interesting pools depths of between 3m and 4m and wrecks the old bridge, which used many fish as their hideouts.

Newly modernized luxury open plan loft accommodation with modern amenities and lots of style with the comfort. New to the market: 2014. Set in the center of Tolmin for easy walking access to bars, shops & cafes, yet just 10 minutes stroll to the river Soca. All around this neat small town are beautiful walks, drives and views.
Friendliness, safe feeling, unspoilt natural beauty and affordability.
  • A great apartment with lots of charm and attention to detail. The equipment is also great, especially for short breaks: everything from vinegar and oil to honey and spices etc. is there. The location is perfect as a starting point for hikes, but the place Tolmin is rather unspectacular. If you just want to enjoy nature and want to have a glass of red wine in your beautiful apartment in the evening, the apartment is just right for you.

Emerald pearl at Most na Soči is lovely flat with a perfect view over Soča river and Most na Soči Lake. With all the appliances that you need, this modern apartment can fulfill all your wishes. Beautiful confluence of Soča and Idrijca river that you can see from the window and the emerald touches in the living room will make you feel even closer to the amazing nature. Since you are right on spot, this is a perfect take off for all the activities in Soča valley.
The view is the one thing that's really unique. Spacious yard in front of the apartment and being away from neighbours, since main town centre is on the opposite river bank, will allow you to relax completely.
Town of Most na Soči is a little gem, everything is on a reach of hand, shop, pharmacy, ATM, bar and restaurant, you can get the essentials, but there is no big town hustle. Enjoying nature is the one thing and discovering Most history is another.
  • Great location near town with a view of the lake. They let us use their canoe to explore and even had some farm animals on their property!

  • A++ Rating. This is a lovely place to enjoy the Soça Valley!

    Erick2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place is all in the title... an Emerald Pearl. This residence sits on a hill overlooking the town and the emerald waters of the local lake. Simply sitting on the bench in the yard overlooking the serene view, or petting the family pig and goats, or taking a short stroll through the back gate and down to the canoe for a romantic and private paddle down the river are a few of the easiest ways to enjoy this hidden treasure. Run by a lovely couple who will give you any information you need about the nearby area and, if you get the chance, take part in an extremely authentic, diverse, and captivating conversation with this well-traveled, well-cultured, articulate, and interesting pair. Of all the places we've come and gone, Slovenia holds a special place in our hearts, and this place is the best that Slovenia has to offer.

  • We had the most amazing stay in Vesna's place. Though it looked beautiful online, the place was breathtaking in person. The pictures do not do the property justice, as good as they are. We were greeted with such incredible hospitality! Served drinks and a cheese platter with fresh fig. Most na Soci is an amazing place worth visiting. I wish we had stayed longer to explore more and take advantage of the canoe, and swim in the lake! Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

  • Great, lovingly restored house in the mountains. You feel right at home. In winter, heating and a fireplace ensure that it gets really warm in the house. Matthew was always available to us and self check in is easy. I would go back and recommend everyone to explore the area in Slovenia. Easy to reach by car, if you really want, it also seems possible to arrive by train. There is a train station in the village below. Shopping is possible in Tolmin.
