  • Mansfield Cottage was excellent for our one-night stay, a base from which to explore parts of the Whisky Trail. Everything was just as described, comfortable and exceptionally clean. All communication with Gill has been really welcoming since our first enquiry, wth great directions and the welcome offer of earlier check-in. I just wish our stay was longer! I highly recommend to those visiting the area for the Whisky Trail or a family holiday.

  • This is a beautiful cottage along the whiskey trail. The location was perfect for us and just a short drive or taxi ride away from a town with restaurants and supermarkets. The fireplace was great for the chilly night!

  • Perfect location for visiting Macallan, Glenfiddich etc. Local taxi company took us around for a fair price as well. Cottage was spotless and great value for money. Gill was kind enough to allow us to checkin early and checkout late. We would definitely recommend to friends and family coming here for the Whisky Trail as well

  • A wonderful spot in nature!

    Zoe2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • It was really lovely, a tiny bit adventurous in the most positive way, absolutely beautiful and Ellie and Harold were wonderful loveable hosts. We will come back here most definitely. If you as a guest are okay with some rural livestyle, stay here and listen to the sound of waves of wind in the trees

    Jana2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful hut in the woodland forest, so peaceful with the most helpful hosts!

  • We had an extremely relaxing experience here. We were received very warmly even despite our late arrival, and the escort to the hut was great. Very exciting to walk through the dark woods! Had a great chat with the owner too. The hut was lovely, and there wasn't anyone else in sight, even though it took about a minute to walk back to the shared area where there was wifi and all kinds of amenities. Amazing stay for nature lovers! We had a great time sitting by the fire, enjoying the silence.

    Esther2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • These guys are genuinely the perfect hosts! Very lovely and approachable, they showed us around when we arrived and checked in on us whenever we ran into each other. The space was wonderful too, VERY comfy beds and more spacious than you expect! The hut is away from other tents/the main house and is very private. There is also an outside seating area which is covered from the rain, and a fire pit. Recycling and food waste bins were provided so it was easy to be eco friendly. Heaters are provided so the space was easy to heat up; we were very cosy. It was amazing to wake up in the forest with the birds singing and the light coming through the window! The shower is amazing, very easy to use and well built with plenty of hot water, and quality bio friendly toiletries are provided (which smelled amazing). There are a lot of leaflets and tips for things to do around the area in the kitchen/eating space (located at the main house close by), as well as walks we could do around the grounds. The directions are easy to follow and there is loads of free parking on the premises. Overall, we would wholeheartedly recommend this space to anyone!

    Rob2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay, perfect if you are looking for a step up in comfort from camping without losing any of the rugged wilderness feel. The hut/tent is very easy to get to but feels wonderfully remote, we loved relaxing by the fire in a secluded clearing watching the sun set through the trees. Ellie and Howard are great hosts, helpful and welcoming. We will certainly be recommending the space to friends and returning soon.

  • A lovely downstairs apartment with fabulous views of mountains. This place is stylish and clean, with a home from home experience. Deborah left biscuits and treats for my dog and some grocery items for us. The garden is nice and although it is enclosed , it’s separate from the house. We liked the quiet town of Rothes. There was street parking outside the property . A very comfortable and clean stay with nice extra touches .

This country cottage has woodlands on your doorstep, great views from the top of our hill and is right in Speyside whisky country with fishing, walking and many other outdoor activities. You’ll love the cosy log fire, fully-equipped kitchen and outside seating area. It's perfect for couples, friends, families (with 1 or 2 kids) and one well-behaved dog. In the bedroom there's a comfy double bed and a double sofa bed is available in the living room. Just re-listed after a long-term let.
The cottage is small but perfectly formed, at the near end of the building as you look at the main picture. It's furnished in a rustic, country style with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Being a one-bedroom cottage, the space ideally suits a couple or small family but can stretch to four adults travelling together. A travel cot and 'next to me' crib is available for babies.
We have 10 acres of beautiful woodland on our doorstep which you are welcome to explore. Close by are many whiskey distilleries, gardens, castles and other lovely places to visit. We are very close to the Rothes Mountain Bike Trail, starting from the bottom of our drive where you can cycle off road for miles. Rothes is a 5 minute drive away for shopping and local pubs and restaurants (like the Station Hotel), and the bigger towns of Elgin or Aberlour 10-15 mins drive. If you're here on a Wednesday and like gardening, you'll be very welcome to come and help out in the polytunnel where we grow our vegetables.
  • Hosts are a very welcoming and warm. Very prompt in any assistance or service required. The place is beautiful and so is the location. House is with all amenities required. They also have a nice fireplace which was very helpful.

  • We had a wonderful time at Ellies place. It is beautifully located to explore the surroundings and Ellie and her husband are great people to meet! I highly recommend this place and we would definitely come back if we are in the area again.

    Philip2018-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful and unique space! The grounds are lovely and the location is rural yet very accessible to the sights in the area.

    Matthew2018-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful spot. It's close to everything you'd want to see but far enough away to have some peace and quite. Excellent and quick communication. The space is quite large, warm and inviting. Beautiful farm setting that's easy enough to reach by car. We used it as a home base for our Scotch tours and it couldn't have fit our purpose better.

    Misha2018-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Howard was a very friendly host, and the cottage was exactly what I needed - quiet, clean, and with a wi-fi connection. The cottage is set in some truly beautiful countryside, and Howard was kind enough to direct me through potential walking options within the grounds and surrounding area. I would have loved to have stayed longer than a single night, to explore the area further. Thanks again!

    Tim2018-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this place! One of my favorite Airbnb’s. I wish we could of stayed longer. Beautiful woods around the house. Lovely walki through them. The house was very clean and tidy. My sister loved the few chickens running around. We would definitely stay again!!

  • If you want peace, quiet and luxury in a beautiful area then this is the place for you. By far, the very best place we’ve stayed on Airbnb, and we’ve stayed at many. Our hosts couldn’t of been more friendly and welcoming. The Annexe is the most perfect place to relax. Warm, comfortable and stylish with everything you could possibly need. The views over the Spey are incredible. We did some beautiful walks in Rothes & Aberlour. Plenty places close by to eat, drink and explore but close enough to local shops to pick up supplies to prepare at your leisure in the kitchenette. Lovely hot shower with exquisite toiletries after a day out in the cold. Super comfy sofa to watch TV on then cosy & comfortable bed to snooze the night away. Special touches like fruit, cereal, fruit juice, milk and beautiful Valentines flowers & fizzy made this the ‘icing on the cake’ for us. We can’t wait to stay again - perfect place in a perfect location. Thank you both again Virginia & Jason

  • Just home after a brilliant weekend at Aime and Ryan’s. The annexe is absolutely beautiful, spotless clean and comes with so many thoughtful touches! Aime was so lovely and even booked a taxi for us to go for dinner. The location is fab - literally 5/10 min drive from the best distilleries, 5 min taxi ride from restaurants etc. We can’t wait to come back!!

    Emily2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Host was extremely helpful and super friendly on arrival and departure, gave excellent recommendations for walks and restaurants in the local area and the property itself was perfect for our trip would definitely recommend.

    Tom2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • An ideal base for exploring the surrounding attractions and staying in Dufftown. We came in 3 people but comfortably 4 or 2 out of 3 children can live. We focused on visiting the distillery and participating in the Dramathon competition - we managed to win the 10k race. Many details: a coffee maker with coffee, fresh milk and juice, luxurious furnishings that each of us noticed and appreciated. The fully equipped kitchen allows you to prepare lunches and dinners. The perfect care of the hosts: they were very helpful in every problem, but they let us stay private. We have great memories! Pozdrowienia z Polski!

    Bartek2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Aime & Ryan's place was above and beyond in every way. The photos of the view do not do it justice, everything we could think to need was provided in the space, it was incredibly stylish and clean, and Aime & Ryan went out of their way to recommend some incredible activities while we were there. There is so much to do in just short drives from the space: waterfall hikes, mountain hikes, castle ruins, active castles, distilleries, epic coastlines (Cullen & Portknockie!). We couldn't recommend this space enough, combined with the views and hospitality, it was a knock-out Airbnb.

    Katherine2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • We cannot say enough about Aimé! Our entire stay from beginning to end was fantastic. Aimé provided all kinds of personal touches, the space was bright and spotless, and the location was perfectly centered in the Speyside region of Scotland. We would highly recommend staying at the Calderwood Annex with Aimé hosting you.

    Ashley2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! Aimé’s place is decorated beautifully, and she’s thought of everything when it comes to amenities and making her guests comfortable! Cozy bed and bedding, gorgeous views and natural light, coffee, snacks and even fresh flowers set out! I’d recommend Aimé’s place to anyone!

    Alexia2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely Superb. Bright, spacious, sparkling clean, well equipped, and very quiet. The best Airbnb experience so far! Aime is a total professional, she’s amazing at hosting guests. We will be back one day for sure.

Hello and thank you for considering 'The Hayloft', Brylach. We are situated on the A941 between Elgin and Rothes convenient for the Speyside Way, mountain bike trails, distilleries, castles, Elgin and the coast just a few miles to the north. Brylach surrounds the courtyard and is divided up into four parts of which 'The Hayloft' is one, and is the original stables and servants accommodation for Rothes Glen House. We are the owners and live in one of the other parts.
You are looking at the Hayloft which is a first floor accommodation above what used to be the stables. Please note that the living accommodation is all on the first floor, the stairs are immediately inside the entrance. It is simple and cosy. We do not supply WIFI there but please let us know if you need internet access at some point during your stay.
The Glen of Rothes is the northern gateway to the distilleries of Speyside and the mountains of the Cairngorms beyond. Elgin, 8 miles to the north provides transport links, shops, Elgin Cathedral, Johnstons Woollen Mill, swimming pool and plenty other amenities.
  • This was a perfect location to rest and restore while on our road trip. I highly recommend :)

The Barn is located on the original Ruthrie Estate. It has been converted to comfortable standards to welcome guests
  • You will not regret booking your stay here! The location was easy to find with clear signs that you could see from the road. It is welcoming and cozy from the time you drive up and only improves the more you see. Michelle greeted us quickly with a warm smile and great explanations of everything available. She also was able to answer our questions about the area and provide recommendations. The Barn is beautifully done and kept. The white sheets and towels smelled wonderful and make it so comfy to snuggle up. There is a wood-burning stove to add ambiance, but also radiator heat to keep you warm. We used the kitchen for both breakfasts and dinners, finding it well equipped and easy to use. The bathroom has a great shelf to spread out your toiletries which is using lacking in other places. We received quick responses to all our questions and found our hosts extremely kind and helpful, like most of the people we met in Scotland. We used The Barn as a home point to explore the Highlands, driving all over the beautiful countryside. It was an amazing trip and we would not hesitate to return and stay here again.

    Madison2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Just had the most incredible Christmas stay in The Barn. The space itself was beautiful, cosy and luxurious. Definitely a case of the photos not doing it justice. The hosts were incredible. They were generous, warm and helpful. We even received an unexpected Christmas gift under our tree from them! Truly exceptional, can not recommend enough. Will be back.

    Lauren2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • If you're thinking about staying here, go ahead and click book!! This place is even more gorgeous than the photos show. The barn is super cosy and has everything you need. Location is perfect for exploring Speyside and visiting local distilleries (Aberlour Distillery is walking distance). Would absolutely stay again.

    Sarah2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I were at The Barn for 2 nights. It was awesome. Michelle gave this darling place her own special touches. We would definitely recommend it to others.

    Sharon2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • What an awesome destination! Do not pass up this gem of a location. Right in the heart of whiskey country. Whiskey distilleries are easily accessed and easy drive to the sea. The barn is cozy, with everything you need on your travels. The wood stove, burning cask staves, makes the dram taste even better! A great place for a couple to enjoy together. This was our favorite lodging from a 2 week tour of Scotland.

  • Ishbel was there to greet us on our arrival. She was very friendly and helpful. The room was very “homey”. It was very spacious, comfortable , and warm....our visit was during December. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and updated. Everything seemed like it was new. We had milk and water in the little fridge. There was fruit and food for breakfast. There was tea or coffee. It was definitely my favorite place in Scotland and I would stay there again. I highly recommend it....it’s the perfect place for a couple. It is tucked out of the way but it was close to everything that we wanted to do.

Just a 2 minute drive from the picturesque village of Craigellachie, The Pines is set high on a hillside with spectacular panoramic views of Ben Rinnes and the Spey Valley. It is the perfect base for exploring Speyside, whether you are here for the whisky, the fishing, the walking or just want to relax. The beautiful Moray Coast is less than 30mins drive away. Aberdeen is 1.5hrs drive and Inverness just over 1 hour. There is so much to do and see here - you will be spoiled for choice!
You will be staying in our self-catering studio apartment which, although attached to the house, is completely self-contained and has its own entrance via patio doors to the front. Beds can be configured as two singles or one Super-King. Please let me know which you would prefer. The kitchen area is well equipped, with a good sized fridge, microwave, table top one ring induction hob/stove, kettle and toaster, pans, dishes etc. If you need something that's not there - just ask!
Literally on the doorstep is a most beautiful walk along the quiet road as it winds its way up towards Ben Aigan. There are magnificent views towards Aberlour and Dufftown. The peace and quiet - and the chance to spot wild deer in Spring/Summer - makes this a very pleasant stroll in the evening. Craigellachie's most famous landmark is the Telford Bridge and it is well worth visiting. Have a wander down to the beach under the bridge and take a stroll along the river bank. You can walk from Craigellachie along the Speyside Way to Aberlour (2miles) where there are many interesting shops, galleries and eating places. The Dufftown Spur of the Speyside Way follows the River Fiddich. It is approx 4 miles long and passes the delightful 1950s 'Sidings Cafe' - a cafe in a converted railway carriage and a lovely place to stop for a coffee and cake or lunch. Distilleries in the area are too numerous to mention individually here, but a visit to the Craigellache Cooperage is a must. See these highly skilled coopers at work as they make and repair whisky barrels to be sent all over the world. The Knockando Woollen Mill is another 'must see'. It is a beautifully restored traditional working mill and museum, transporting you back in time. Take a while to sit in the gardens and soak up the atmosphere. If you have time, a drive along the coast is highly recommended. There are many quaint sea-side villages and harbours, some dating back to the 17th century. Portsoy and Cullen are particularly attractive. Spey Bay is home to the Scottish Dolphin Centre. If it's golden sands you're after, then Lossiemouth is the place to go. Don't forget your camera! There is so much more to do and see in the area. Depending on how long you are staying for, George and I will be very happy to help you plan your itinerary!
  • The accommodation was excellent, a beautiful place to relax with fantastic view. We highly recommend The Pines and Linda e George, two very kind people that we are very happy to have met. We would definitely stay there again.

  • Suite: Great cozy suite in the countryside. Nice view from the front on a sunny day. Had everything we needed including cooking tools. A little bit of food for breakfast (bread and cereal) Hosts: Linda and George were really nice. They provided helpful instructions on how to find the home. They also graciously offered to drive us into town and pick us back up so we could drink at the local pub. Location: As mentioned above, the place is quite secluded and quiet. There is no official address so it may be hard for taxis or tour companies to come pick you up.

  • Very cute place! The tub is great and the bed is comfy!

    Brad2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Linda thought of everything, she even put some bread ,milk ,butter and marmalade in the fridge. She had guide books for local castles and distilleries, and advice on where to go. I also really enjoyed the bath tub.

Speyside is a diverse area full of a great variety of activities to enjoy within a few miles. You are on the whisky trail and can visit at least 6 distilleries within 5 miles, (The Macallan and Aberlour are within walking distance). The spey way is a very short distance away, lots of lovely walks. There is the Knockando woollen mill with museum, Ballindalloch Castle with spectacular gardens, and the Speyside Cooperage all close by. • Country setting with all the comforts of home. Everything was just as advertised and we had a fabulous stay. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for having us!

    Susan2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Tack Room is a wonderful, cozy apt with spectacular views through French doors over rolling farm fields and the hills in the distance. Comfortable real king size bed(this was a thrill after other places in the U.K. with double beds), modern & very usable kitchen, nice sitting room...and there was milk for us, eggs from their farm, homemade cookies & jam. What a winnner! Easy drive to Aberlour & other whiskey areas, and if you’re a walker, you could walk to town or to The Macallan distillery( really worth the visit no matter how you go-even if the tours are booked, a visit to see the architecture of the new “experience” is amazing, and they have a wonderful cafe with great breakfast & lunch). Fave restaurant-the Copper Dog in the Craigellachie Hotel....super easy drive there, great atmosphere & food, much better than the Mash Tun in my opinion. I loved our stay, and I miss the farm’s chickens & pigs....unique!!

    Donna2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a beautiful and special place. My boyfriend and I came to Speyside to enjoy some scotch whisky tours and adventure through all the little adorable towns. This was the most perfect place to stay. The house itself has beautiful touches, wonderful amenities, warm, cozy and was super clean. The hosts greeted us as we entered the driveway and showed us around the property, making sure we were all set and comfortable. We absolutely loved the fresh milk and eggs in the refrigerator (they were delicious!). Markets, coffee shops, whisky shop, restaurants and pubs are all very close (a few minutes drive). I can’t wait to visit this area again and, of course, stay at the same AIRBNB! I highly recommend it.

  • The old tack room was a wonderful experience! Kate and Mark met us as we arrived and gave us a tour of the accommodation as well as some helpful tips on local dining and whisky distilleries. The space is lovely - large, wonderfully clean and stylish, and had some lovely additions in the kitchen (eggs from Mark and Kate’s chickens which we devoured for breakfast our first morning, and home made cookies and jam!). Overall a great spot, lovely hosts and beautiful accommodation. We would definitely book again :)

    Anneka2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at The Old Tackroom was lovely. It is in such a peaceful location with lots to do and see nearby. The facilities provided by Mark and Kate were 10/10, everything you could possible need was easily accessible. We particularly appreciated the delicious eggs and the signs for parking. The place itself was warm, with a very confortable bed and beautiful surroundings. We would recommend this place to anyone.

  • I mainly corresponded with Howard during the duration of the stay. He is a lovely gent and host and the experience was worth it. So I highly recommended this to anyone looking to stay outdoors but perhaps wants a little more comfort than what a full on camping experience would offer.

  • This glamping experience was a perfect piece of our trip around Inverness. Really easy check in, beautiful location, great sleep. Being able to cook our dinner on the campfire and seeing the stars from a beautiful viewpoint (5min hike) was the cherry on top. We were comfortably 3 adults in one tent for one night. Highly recommended.

  • The place is fantastic! We had reservations about staying in a tent but it was very comfortable and all our worries disappeared. Definitely upset we spent so little time here! A short walk in the morning for an amazing view. We arrived much later than expected but Ellie was a superb and welcoming host. Great location! Recommended!

Carlowrie is a semi detached house right in the heart of the village of Aberlour on the banks of the beautiful River Spey in north east of Scotland. The back garden path leads to the Speyside Way where you can walk or cycle safely for miles in either direction beside the river. There is a lovely play park five minutes from the house. In this area there are many distilleries. Parking is on the street outside the house. The owners live nearby and would be available for advice or support if needed.
  • Dee is a lovely hostess. Location is perfect. And the tea and milk on arrival a nice touch.

    Nicole2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • My son and I had a fantastic 4 night stay at Dee's place. It had a perfect location for all of the things we wanted to do and see. There are great hikes in the area and an abundance of distilleries, and the house is located right on the bank of the River Spey if you are looking to fish for salmon. We even got to borrow their bikes to ride to The Macallan distillery. All in all, a cozy, well equipped house with helpful and considerate hosts.

  • The stay in this house was a complete joy. It was a good central place for venturing out to the various distilleries in the area. Dee put in extra effort for a special birthday cake and handled a reservation at the Mash Tun. This was beyond what we expected and made our stay that much more remembered and special! • The Moray house is great and Dee is a wonderful host. The house is very clean and kept in great shape. Location is perfect; close to everywhere you’d want to visit and in a quiet neighborhood. There is plenty of space, a great eat in kitchen and it backs up to the River Spey. We were 5 people, and the house suited us well.

  • Dee was a wonderful and warm host and the place is absolutely beautiful and spacious. In an excellent location with the high street out front, with very easy walk to many places to eat and a shop for all your needs. Simply walk out the back gate and the river is right there with a lovely walking track. High speed internet was appreciated. Highly recommended.

Visiting Aberlour Bolthole feels like having a break at your family's Highland countryside home. It's the perfect base for fishing, shooting, touring, biking, walking and exploring the Malt Whisky Trail. The Aberlour Distillery is just a stroll away and the Macallan across the River Spey behind the cottages. The location perfectly balances the peaceful setting behind private gardens and the convenience of having a range of quality bars, eateries and shops on your doorstep.
The cottage has 2 bedrooms: one double room with king sized bed and one family room with a double and a single bed. Also upstairs is the family bathroom with full sized bath and overhead shower with great water pressure. Downstairs there are open plan living facilities which lead onto a pretty garden where you can sit and watch the world go by.
The small, pretty town of Aberlour lies on the banks of the River Spey, and is surrounded by wonderful open countryside, with the Cairngorm Mountains on one side and the Moray Firth coast on the other. It is at the heart of the Whisky Trail and visitors will be stunned to realize that there are 50 whisky distilleries within a 15 mile radius of the town. The area is a magnet for fishermen with the River Spey so close by, whilst walkers will certainly appreciate the fabulous walks and wildlife they will encounter en route through the Speyside Way, one of the four official Long Distance Routes in Scotland. Aberlour is a great base for exploring this region of Scotland. Shops and facilities in the village include grocery stores, cafés, take-aways and restaurants, fishing store (also sells fishing day and week licenses for the Spey), hardware store, news agents with Post Office, gift shops, Filling Station, public swimming pool (at High School), hospital, pharmacy, dentist, The River Spey, The Speyside Way, Alice Littler Park with putting green and quality play park - all 2 mins walk.

The property is a lovely semi-detached Period country cottage (built 1927). There are many original features and a cosy woodburning stove in the sitting room. We are located in the countryside, close to the A941, a couple of miles from Rothes village where there are pubs and shops. Please note that the adjacent A941 road is convenient, but it can be busy. There is Wi-Fi in the lounge and kitchen areas.
The cottage has been completely renovated and has a bright, spacious interior.
  • Great little cottage. Billy greated us when we arrived and built us an amazing fire. I would definately recommend staying here if you are travelling around Scotland.

  • We had a great time at Gillian and Billy. Billy welcomed us and was very friendly. The arrival to the accommodation is very simple the key was at our disposal in a box secured by a code. The cottage is really beautiful, well equipped, comfortable and warm. We stayed one night but it is a place where you can stay a lot more. It is very well located for visiting the distilleries. I recommend without hesitation!

    Cristelle2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I used the cottage while we were at Speyside to visit distilleries and go on tours. The location of the cottage was great for this purpose as most distilleries we visited were within 10-15 minutes drive. The cottage was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and appliances to cook or prepare pretty much any kind of meal. My personal favorite was the separate washer and dryer since my family had a lot of laundry to do at this point of our travel. Billy also stopped by to say hi and was very quick with his response to my message. Overall, would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Speyside.

A spacious guest suite, spread over the first and second floors of this grand Scots Baronial style house, comprising a stunning newly refurbished open-plan kitchen/living space with a log stove and two large double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. A single room, with charming views of the formal garden completes the suite. Experience modern comforts within this majestic 'castle' setting.
During your stay you can wander around the Auchinroath Estate with it's gardens and woodlands. Enjoy glorious views down the Spey Valley from the top of the East Mount as you take in the sunset with a dram or two.
The house is located right in the heart of whisky country with more distilleries than any other region. We can recommend various tours and tasting sessions, the closest being Glen Grant, Macallan, Glenfiddich, Aberlour, Balvennie, Glenfarclas, Glen Livet... we could go on and on! There is so much to see and do in Moray; stunning and varied beaches, glorious mountains, dense forests and beautiful rivers for fishing and swimming. Varied attractions for the whole family include the Dufftown Railway, Strathspey Steam Railway, Landmark Adventure Park, Johnstones of Elgin cashmere centre and Elgin cathedral and its museum. All this is a stones throw from the town of Elgin with its major convenience stores (15 mins drive from us).
  • The space was amazing, so much room and very comfortable. We stayed with our two children and they loved playing 'castles'! The hosts were brilliant, loads of tips for the area and welcoming into the house. We would highly recommend the house to anyone.

Our rural cosy cottage is an old farm building (an old farm shop, in fact) very close to our main house, and has been newly renovated. It is clean and modern throughout. The rooms are small but ample, the dining kitchen should have everything you need and there is both a sun room and patio for you to enjoy. We welcome well behaved dogs and children as guests, and we have a large garden for them to play in when not out exploring.
We are 3 miles from Fochabers - a pretty village complete with ice cream parlour and cafes - and 7 miles from Elgin which has several supermarkets. We are just off the North East 250 route, the Speyside Way, and of course the Malt Whisky route. Aviemore, Inverness and Aberdeen are all roughly an hour away. With lots of beaches, distilleries, castles and attractions within easy reach, we offer some peace and quiet for your stay. Our house hasn't been a farm for several years now, however we do have small friendly children, big friendly dogs and chickens who like to check out visitors. We do try to contain these unless you're keen to meet them!

  • The accommodation over exceeded our expectations and we were amazed at the personal privacy which the property had despite being within the same grounds as the host's home. The property was spotlessly clean with lots of nice little personal touches which included fresh supplies left for our breakfast. It was easily heated and very cosy. The location was ideally located for both Fochabers and Elgin which were both a short drive away. Very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend this property.

  • Warm, clean, well equipped property. I sent a message on our check in day to request an early check in due to mitigating circumstamces and received a very prompt and helpful reply which was much appreciated. Great stay.

  • Beverley’s suite was the perfect spot for our weekend in Speyside for the Dramathon! A wonderful respite in between seeing the local sites and running the race. The location was perfect, giving us close proximity to everything including walking distance to welcoming food and drink spots. Quiet and cozy with thoughtful touches, perfect for the weary traveler!

  • The Whisky Room was a true gem for our 3 night stay in Speyside. It had everything we needed in a very clean and efficient space, including a fantastic shower! I had the best nights sleep of our 2 week trip there in a lovely bed with a great duvet. Made our own tea and brekky in the morning on our schedule with the clever appliances provided, walked to dinner at the Copper Dog and toured distilleries. The locals we met while walking the lovely town and river were friendly and helpful. It was a highlight of our trip. Thank you!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Bev's! The house is on some beautiful land which you're free to walk around and explore. The guest area is comfortable and private. Bev was an amazing host! Always checked to make sure we had everything we needed and had plenty of tips for the surrounding area. We opted for the homemade soup and sandwiches for our first night and they were delicious! Breakfast was also phenomenal and the perfect start to our mornings before going out to explore. There's so much to do in the area that you definitely won't be bored. If this Airbnb is available then you should book it! Everything about it is perfect.

  • Fantastic host. Bev was so lovely and nothing was to much bother. Lived my stay and will definitely be back.

  • Bev is such a wonderful hostess. This was my second trip to stay, and it won't be my last. The rooms(!) are spacious and clean, and the bed is so comfy. Bev goes above and beyond to make sure you are well looked after. I can highly recommend a stay here.

    Natalie2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • If you spend in Speyside and you are not going to Bev, you have missed your stay! This woman and her husband have a unique welcome in the world! I made many BnB and none has the quality of it! The attention of Bev are so many (breakfast worthy of a 5 star, delicacies in the room!)! Bev makes it a point of honor that your stay is as peaceful as possible! You can eat on the floor! The cleanliness is of excellence! I have never seen such a clean place! We eat 2 nights at Bev (the meal is wonderful, a mushroom soup that I will never forget!) Trust him you can not be disappointed, it's impossible! Let's talk about his property now! There is a lake, a pond with 4 ducks which you will taste the excellent eggs every morning) you can walk there and enjoy the calm and fresh air! At the end of your stay you will only want to be called the mom! There is no word to say thank you Bev! We love you Basile, René and Rémy

    Remy2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Bev was an amazing host and the house and amenities are just absolutely fantastic. My father and I stayed here for a few nights and enjoyed the two separate rooms, an incredible view of the property (and its pond and ducks!), delicious breakfasts everyday, and stimulating conversations with the host. Bev and her family are very warm and welcoming, the two dogs Fred and Pebbles are as adorable as can be, and she gave us some solid suggestions for places to eat and drink in the area. The location is a bit off the grid, definitely follow the directions listed on the page rather than focusing on the address. Use the Google Maps link she includes separately rather than plugging in the address for the location listed (it's a shared address for all the houses on the road). Since we were in the area to drink whisky, Bev was gracious in offering us rides in and out of town and we definitely took her up on this. Unfortunately the weather was a bit rough so we weren't able to properly explore the property, but perhaps next time! Would love to stay here again if/when we return to the Speyside region!

    Mark2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is very cute and it has a separate, modern bathroom. Bev was a very kind host and we would highly recommend the apartment. Especially to those, who love the nature.

Bonnie View is a detached cottage overlooking the River Spey and a stones throw from the Speyside Way long distance walk. Craigellachie is set in an area of outstanding beauty and has 2 unique whisky bars which offer food around 50 metres from the cottage. Bonnie View has a dining kitchen, separate sitting room with sofa bed overlooking the river Spey, twin bedroom and bathroom with over bath shower, it also has its own off street parking in front of the building.
Bonnie View was at one time an old telephone exchange. It was renovated by putting an extension on the front and a sunroom on the back. It has its own off street parking at the front of the building for two cars The sitting room at the front can be used as a second bedroom with a very comfortable sofa bed
Craigellachie is home to The Speyside Cooperage which is a great visitor attraction where you can watch whisky barrels being made There are two hotels in the village with lovely restaurants The Speyside Way (long distance walk) runs through the village
  • Brilliant little spot! Clean, Comfy and well equipped! Highly recommended!

    Howard2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We booked into an air bnb on the coast and it was awful, we left the property at 6am and with some help from air bnb we found this place totally last minute. I messaged just to confirm whether they could take us (and with a dog) and sure enough they messaged back quickly and said that was fine. Not only that, they offered to have the cottage ready earlier for us than their usual check in time as we were in limbo and about to go home if we couldn’t find something! When we arrived we got parked easily in the space outside and were more than happy with how cute and comfortable the cottage is, a true home from home and very clean. It had everything we needed and we had been told if we needed anything we could nip up to the B&b or contact them through air bnb but we didn’t need anything else. Communication was excellent and we were lucky enough to grab a table at the Copper Dog bar along the road for the birthday dinner and that was amazing too, staff were really great. It was a total saviour for our holiday but we would really love to return to it as it’s a great base for exploring the surrounding areas (which we did) and can either enjoy a quiet night in or nip along to the bars on the same street. Perfect trip for us and we very much appreciated the cottage - lovely place to come back to after days of walking!

    Jenna2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Look no further for a great starting point to Speyside. You get your own parking space (a wonder for those who are not used to street parking on the other side of the road!), and you're in walking distance to some great pubs/restaurants. Plenty of ro for the three of us, and not overbearingly hot when the temperature rose during our stay.

    Stephanie2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • This little cottage is perfectly located for those looking to do Speyside distillery visits: many great tour opportunities within a few miles. Make sure you add a tour of the Speyside Cooperage, too, where they make most of the barrels used for surrounding distillers. The house is also a great home base for fishing in the the area’s rivers and streams. The cottage has a nice view of the village of Craigellachie, and was very comfortable with two separate sitting areas in addition to the well-appointed kitchen, large bath, and bedroom. We found the place sparkling clean and ready for us. Good WiFi and solid LTE mobile phone service. Private, off-street parking right in front of the house was a huge bonus, and the clothes and dish washers came in quite handy. About 100 paces down the road is the Highlander Inn, which has great food and a spectacular whisky selection. Another 100 and you’re at the Copper Dog, the restaurant/bar at the Craigellachie Hotel. Both have a good vibe, and indoor and outdoor seating. Could not be more convenient for people like us, who’d rather go out than cook while on vacation. Not a single complaint from us. Beverley was a great host and delivered exceptional value for the money. We’d book again without question.

    Greg2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend a stay at Beverley's place. It is such a quaint and quiet cottage on a beautiful country road. I loved the decor and small touches that made it very comfortable to stay in. There is ample things to do in the area, great food nearby, and is accessible by train and bus (except for Sunday). Lovely walking trails and river to see. Beverley and her family were wonderful hosts, very kind and helpful.

    Christina2019-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Second time I have stayed at the cottage. It is in a great position, well equipped and immaculately clean. Beverley makes it easy to come and go. All in all a great experience

    Chris2019-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little house located right in the middle of Craigellachie so walking distance to 2 pubs with good food. The garden isn’t enclosed if you have dogs. But there is great access to The Speyside way locally so lovely walking.

For those looking for that “get away from it all” experience, this is a quaint traditional style Scottish bothy, modernised to offer comfortable accommodation for up to four guests. Ideal for a small family or couple looking for some old style tranquillity.
With two well appointed bedrooms (one king size downstairs and one twin upstairs), a traditional farmhouse kitchen and a snug lounge containing a log burning stove. This pet friendly cottage offers guests a relaxing Scottish Highlands vacation in the heart of idyllic Speyside.
  • Very clean and cosy little cottage in a beautiful location with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. We felt quite at home here. Location is fabulous for accessing everything the area has to offer from the Cairngorms to the coast. We, including our dog, loved the area surrounding the cottage and the walks down to the Spey. Instructions before and on arrival were good. Only 2 points for consideration for future guests - the track down to the cottage could be a challenge in small vehicle, & we discovered on arrival there was a requirement to keep the dog in the tiny hallway (4x2 feet) and not allowed in the main living areas of the cottage. We felt this was a unnecessary & should have been advised of this requirement before booking.

    Claire2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is well equipped, away from it all and very clean. Nice big main bedroom and great to be able to have a fire burning in the evenings. A very comfortable place to stay.

  • Lovely wee cottage in a private quite location. Surrounded by fields and really peaceful.

    Hayden2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Cottage on a large estate, accessible via a bumpy road, really in "the middle of nowhere". Pheasants, roe deer and cows as neighbors. Furthermore, you do not see a person there. Authentic cottage, nicely decorated. Very complete. Less than an hour's drive from Inverness (also accessible by train from Elgin). But leaving is not really necessary: fire, a cup of tea, a nice book .... We will definitely come back ...

A charming stone farmer's cottage dated 1893. Understated luxury with modern amenities. Incredible views toward Ben Aigen from the deck and a lovely little courtyard to the rear.
Dandaleith cottage is styled with beautiful tweeds from Johnstons of Elgin and original artworks. An elegant lounge with open fire and a well appointed kitchen. There is one spacious king bedroom and one double bedroom.
Craigellachie is at the heart of Speyside and Malt Whisky country. With Macallan distillery as our closest whisky neighbour you're perfectly placed for a whisky break, walking holiday or or just a relaxing week away on the river.
  • The place is excellent and the pictures don’t really do it justice. A really nice spot and a fantastic local pub at the hotel. Highly recommend.

  • We had an amazing weekend at Kevin's cottage. It's very modern, stylish and comfortable on the inside, with two decks overlooking the side yard and overlooking the spey river valley. The exterior is beautiful old stone and there is a pretty front garden. We enjoyed the fireplace in the living room, the kitchen is fully equipped, (bring your own coffee, milk etc., and no shampoo nor toiletries). The bathroom is large, two sinks and strong shower pressure, wonderful after a cold rainy day. We highly recommend Kevin's beautiful cottage. It was one of the nicest Airbnb's we've ever stayed in. We look forward to coming back! Cheers Kevin and thank you!

  • Kevin’s place is amazing. Modern Scottish country, with everything you need - top notch kitchen, fire, huge bathroom, two very comfy beds and views that are priceless. We had an incredible time exploring in the day and then curling up at night. Local pubs - within either walking or driving distance- serve great food. Will definitely come back again!
