Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Saimaa

We have stayed a total of 8 times on the canal with a large group. It is easy to find, check-in at your own time is easy and effortless. The setting is beautiful, with the best place to follow the seasons. The floor plan of the house is good. The bedrooms are upstairs and the common areas are downstairs. A larger group can sit at the large dining table. The living room can also accommodate a larger group. Iida always responds quickly, making it easy to agree on things. Great cottage in a great location. Great scenery, clean water, peaceful surroundings, and the lakeside sauna got the best steam you can imagine. The perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The host came to say hello, the welcome was friendly. I loved the wood sauna!

Overall every good experience staying here. Beautiful and stunning views of the lake and trees x. The sauna is also very good. But watch out if you park your cars at the yard, there are trees and rocks you need to pay attention to.

Lovely place right by the lake. Great sauna and easy to swim in the lake. Kitchen has everything needed for cooking. Bed is super comfortable and the views from inside area amazing. Very beautiful, peaceful and quiet location, would definitely stay again!

Beautiful quiet retreat on a lush island. Everything you need to relax and enjoy your time is provided. There was even a midsummer traditional treat waiting for us. Satu is kind and responsive. She makes sure her guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay. Highly recommend.

As described, friendly hosts. Value for money and very convenient location (route 6) when you want to move around in the region by private car (or some two-wheeler?) - or just to stay overnight. Note however, that Joensuu center is a drive away and parking there seems to be quite expensive.

There is space for parking and it is in a quiet location in the city centre.

If you are looking for a quiet place, I would highly recommend Eija's place! Eija is super nice and always responded to my requests and curiosity. The house has a big yard and closes to a lake where you can go cross-country skiing in winter. The room is cozy and includes own kitchen and bathroom. Several big supermarkets and a secondhand store are within walkable distance. A trip to Jyväskylä city centre is also not difficult by bus, it takes around 45 minutes with beautiful scenery on the way.

A wonderfully peaceful place, yet close to Lappeenranta, we really enjoyed ourselves! Toni welcomed us super friendly and even arranged a special program for the kids. It was a really welcome feeling 😊

The apartment was very clean and cozy, good location in the center of Puumala. Very good contact with the host, he, among other things, informed in good time the check-in instructions. We're very happy with the stay!

We had a pleasant and successful holiday in the middle of exceptionally beautiful and peaceful lake Finland. All around, there were only the sounds of birds. We felt welcome and the accommodation met and exceeded our expectations. Our little schoolchild also enjoyed it. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We can warmly recommend the property to nature travelers.

We had a lovely 3 day stay here and just didn’t want to leave,it was so calm and peaceful, gave us time to relax and recharge and enjoy each others company after a busy few days around Helsinki. The days just flew by with kayaking, rowing, sauna, dips in the lake and BBQ’s etc, we loved the rustic charm of the cabin and facilities and never got board of the amazing Lakeland view.

Eeva was very welcoming and helpful upon our arrival. We felt at home right away and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. The sauna and direct access to the lake are highlights we appreciated a lot!

A magnificent cottage with a stunning lake view

Had an overall lovely stay with my partner in a spectacular location right by the lake. Astonishing views for both breakfast and dinner were served right through the windows of the cottage. The price is of course in accordance with these features, maybe even a little too much. It might have been the particular weather but it was quite challenging to get the sauna ventilation exactly to where it doesn't let the smoke in the room.
