Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Saint-Astier

I recommend it 100%! Very nice house, warm, pleasant, very clean. Anne-Lise is a great host, very responsive and with good advice for visiting the surroundings. Halfway between Bergerac and Périgueux, charming village with a lot of activity and a lot of sightseeing nearby.

The house - beautiful, an old building, high rooms, wonderfully cool even at over 30 degrees, if you close windows and doors during the day and darken. A wide cuddle sofa and a good TV for the evening. Despite the city, it is very quiet; now in June, in the evening, when the windows are opened, the calls of the swallows and other birds and sweet scent (linden?)A nice little garden. Everything very tastefully and stylishly furnished, very good beds - we would have liked to take the mattresses with us ;))). Everything is very clean. We recommend the second bakery on Rue Claude Bernard - also good patisserie, and the restaurant Sous les Tilleuils-, rue judaique - very good value for money, a young creative cook, charming, relaxed service. Excursion: definitely Brantome, pretty town, surrounded by the river, with boat trip (highly recommended, nice staff, information sheets in English, German and Spanish), and from there Bimbillou Museum, bar and food truck-shady island in the middle of the river.

Lovely stay in a beautiful part of France. Communication was excellent and check in was seamless. Looking forward to coming back again. Would definitely recommend.

Extremely hospitable and welcoming hosts. Made us feel right at home, almost as if we were friends of the family! Very helpful and responsive on messaging, provided excellent recommendations of things to do (recommend the kayaking) and even invited us to the local village fête de musique. A wonderful, relaxing and memorable time which we would certainly recommend.

Everything lived up to our expectations based on the property description and all the previous positive reviews. The property is in a stunning location and has every amenity we could wish for. Severine was super friendly and extremely flexible, it was clear that she wanted us to make ourselves completely at home both in the Airbnb property itself but also when using all of the amenities shared with her as she lives in the main house. If you plan to stay in the area this is definitely where you will want to stay!

This is probably the best Airbnb we have stayed at and there have been a few. Spacious, very well equipped with lots of little extras such as coffee pods and biscuits. Huge comfy bed. The location couldn’t be more central yet it is very quiet even on market day which is right outside the door! Thanks Isabelle.

Small accommodation very well equipped and very clean. Perfectly matches the photos. Ideally located, at the level of the Mataguerre tower, which allows you to directly access the old town. Also close to the tower of Vesone. Don't miss the chance to visit the cathedral's rooftops. Lucine is very responsive, I highly recommend this accommodation.

Great location, within minutes walking to restaurants, attractions and main areas. Parking along the river is free and easy to access, about a minutes walk to apartment. The thick walls of the apartment, three layers of glass, kept out the heat and noise during a few very hot days in Périgueux. Apartment has all you need, and so much character. Lots to do in the region, easy driving to Brantome, Bourdielles and many other lovely towns. Lovely to meet Nicole, very friendly and welcoming.

What a pleasure to stay in such a nice cocoon, tastefully decorated and very clean. The check-in instructions were very helpful and very clear. The only regret: having stayed there for only one night! To be booked without a second thought!!

A charming apartment in the old centre. The bed was comfortable and the shower hot. The view from both windows were lovely. The location was excellent. Périgueux was like peeling back the layers of an onion surprising us with scenic river walks, the many different ages and architecture of old buildings and the amazing gastronomy available.

Always perfect! This was our 3rd stay at Jonathan's apartment, we still haven't found any defects. We'll be happy to come back, thanks Jonathan!

Have a great little week. Just the television, which is really not great. Nothing Corresponds to the channels and the image cuts off all the time... impossible to watch a movie properly. The induction plate was not used due to a pacemaker. For the rest, perfect... everything is well thought out... the setting is beautiful...

We loved our apartment. It was very clean, comfortable, and right next to the beautiful Perigueux Cathedral. Parking on the street was very easy. The apartment met every need. The bed was great, and the area was quiet. The best was the responsiveness of the management team….they were quick, kind and professional. We had a minor issue with the Wi-Fi, and it was managed immediately. We managed those 13th century stairs, and we are in our early 70’s! Highly recommend, and would book again with this management team. I feel like we stayed in a very unique property. Thank you for a great stay.

Flawless apartment and close to the city center. We did everything on foot. Instructions are clear. Everything is provided. Bedding and linens are quality. Lucia is a lovely host who is very involved with her guests. A very nice meeting!

The village of Gensac is tucked away in the lovely Saint-Émilion countryside. The one-time convent feels like a special place, a quiet and peaceful retreat to return to after our days visiting Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion, Bergerac, and environs. The suite is spacious, very clean, has useful amenities, and we settled in easily. A vase of fresh flowers on the dining table and a bottle of local wine were nice touches that we especially appreciated. John was a helpful, informative, and friendly host. We enjoyed meeting him and will remember our stay there fondly. Thank you, John.

Excellent stay at Gloria's, who is welcoming. The accommodation is quiet and functional. The small terrace for eating out is very nice. I highly recommend it and it is with pleasure that we will return for a future stay.
