The remote house sits alone in the hills with no neighbors and has a garden with cherry, apple and walnut trees. Explore the lush green grasslands and charming French hamlets right from the driveway. The house is within easy reach of the Normandy beaches, national parks, castles and medieval cities. A basic retreat for lovers of nature and peace.

Come and unwind in this unique cabin located in the heart of the Normandy countryside. The 55m2 cabin comprises 2 bedrooms, 1 living room/kitchen, and a bathroom. Constructed from durable and recycled materials, this refuge has been designed to accommodate you for a peaceful stay in a green setting. However, please be aware that the site is not connected to water and electricity networks, so you will need to be mindful of your energy consumption during your stay.

With the Musee de Cidre on your doorstep, there is plenty to see and do.

The Old House

We are located in rural Normandy, France, 500m from a small village. Our home consists of an original house and attached larger house. We live in the larger house and it is the original house which is the accommodation offered here. The accommodation has its own entrance and is separated from our house by thick stone walls. There is a living room at ground level with a corner kitchen and upstairs is a bedroom with en-suite bathroom. It is a very quiet location.

Spread the map on the table and prepare the journey of a day and choose between Fougères, Mont Saint Michel, Cancale, Saint Malo, Vitré or Rennes.

Our establishment "Les Gîtes du Couesnon" offers you a converted outbuilding opposite our 19th century house. You will be able to enjoy the south-facing garden, in a quiet area, equipped with a ping pong table. The gîte has a bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed. We are 6 km from Mont-Saint-Michel, 500 m from the GR34 hiking trail, which allows you to go to Mont-Saint-Michel with the bicycles we provide.

A pretty, 2 bedroom, south facing, well equipped Gite in a peaceful, rural setting with English and French television and WiFi. The kitchen includes a washing machine. We have a shared heated swimming pool (OPEN 2nd MAY UNTIL THE 14TH OF SEPTEMBER). The beds are made for your arrival but we DO NOT supply towels. Our small complex consists of 2 further Gites.
