Dating back to the 1700’s this servant’s cottage has been lovingly refurbished whilst still remaining true to its character with the addition of a modern compact but functional kitchenette it retains the original beams doors and fire place-plus a secret door to the servant staircase! This gite is tucked away right in the heart of this beautiful, rural, French village. A short 2 minute walk from the local bakery, butchers, supermarket, pharmacy, bank and bar/restaurant . Surrounded by 'green' and nature. Looking for peace and quiet and a sense of isolation in a charming, modernised house 'SERENDIPITÉ' is for you. Situated on a rural lane officially known as 'LE MARAIS DE ROUELLÉ' it is the last house in the village and the first on an ancient countryside trail, dating back to the 11th century. Standing alone on the lane with a large, semi-circular, ornate front garden a couple of strides away with a larger garden at the rear. Comfortable, cosy and welcoming.

Our old bakery is part of our farmhouse. On the ground floor, it is equipped with an equipped kitchen and a shower room with toilet. Upstairs, an attic bedroom has 3 separate beds. Outside, our guests have access to a private terrace with garden furniture. For breakfast, we offer bread made on the farm from cereals grown by us. Close to the greenway, walkers will appreciate this stopover.
