Beachfront holiday rental in Sandend

Great host and loved the location and accommodation. Garden was great for the dogs and chilling with a beer and beautiful beach 5 minutes across the road. Locals and neighbours were very friendly Travelled to John ‘Groats, The Black Isle and Nairn during our stay. Highly recommend as either a base for touring or just a peaceful break in beautiful unspoilt surroundings.

Vera’s cottage was ideal for our holiday. It was spotlessly clean and tastefully refurbished. The cottage was very well equipped. The electric central heating worked well as did the shower in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the peaceful surroundings made it nice and quiet overnight. Fishertown streets are very narrow and parking can be an issue but we found a parking space close by every day. Overall I can thoroughly recommend Vera’s place and we would be very happy to return.

Unsere beste Ferienunterkunft aller Zeiten. Makellos sauber, perfekt ausgestattet, alles wie beschrieben. Seeblick aus jedem Zimmer? Absolut! Näher kann man am Meer nicht dran sein, dazu mit der tollen Terrasse ebenfalls direkt am Meer – perfekte Lage. Das Fischerhäuschen ist schön, locker groß genug für vier, mit Kaminöfen und Elektroheizung gut zu heizen und urgemütlich und voll ausgestattet. Zum ersten Mal haben wir alles mögliche umsonst mitgenommen, weil es schon da und sauber war! Wir müssen wiederkommen! Our best holiday accommodation ever. Spotlessly clean, perfectly equipped, everything as described. Sea view from every room? Absolutely! You couldn't be closer to the sea, and with the fantastic terrace also right by the sea - perfect location. The fisherman's cottage is beautiful, easily big enough for four, easy to heat with wood-burning stoves and electric heating and very cosy and fully equipped. We have to come back!

Our 5th visit to the flat which says something in itself! The flat is ideal for my sister and my annual visit to the area as it has everything we need and more. We love the sea views and the friendly neighbours and look forward to another visit sometime.

Fittdie square is idyllic. Easy to walk and explore the food trucks nearby. Locals are friendly and the farm fresh eggs were an added bonus. Loved the outdoor seating area. This place was perfect!

Abbiamo trascorso 3 giorni stupendi nell'alloggio di Chiara. Eravamo già passati da Pennan in estate e volevamo provare l'esperienza di essere come Local per qualche giorno in inverno. Così è stato, il cottage é molto accogliente, dentro un antica casa di pescatori nel porticciolo di Pennan, una posizione unica da cui godere della baia e del cielo stellato. Assolutamente un esperienza bellissima.

I have never stayed in such a well organized Airbnb. I mean there were manuals for everything you can possibly have a question about the house, the area and everything in between in well put together binders, labeled, even with indexes. It was really thought out. of course the cottage was immaculate, spotlessly clean and the kitchen was so well put together, you could cook a five course meal in there. All the basics were there, not just in the kitchen but in bathrooms. Bed was super comfy, the views were amazing. I would 100% stay again.

Das Apartment von Dean und seiner Familie ist toll renoviert und sehr gemütlich. Besonders gefallen haben uns die geschmackvollen Details, ohne dass es überladen ist. Das Bad hat eine tolle Dusche, das Bett ist sehr bequem und am aller tollsten ist der Balkon direkt zum Meer hin. Dean ist ein super Gastgeber und hat sich auch bei Problemen sofort gekümmert. Außerdem gab es zur Begrüßung ein leckeres Pralinengeschenk und eine schöne Karte mit einer Malerei von Stonehaven. Die Lage des Apartments ist sehr schön direkt am Meer, alles kann fußläufig gut erreicht werden. Es gibt leckere Restaurants und man kann einen schönen Spaziergang zum Dunnottar Castle machen.Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen.

We loved our stay! Beautiful caravan with stunning views! The caravan was like new so clean! The host has been fantastic with communication & was very kind & helpful letting us know if we could get in any earlier too. We would love to come back it was a lovely treat!

A beautifully kitted out caravan which was spotless throughout. Lots of local info, right on the beach. All information was sent in advance and any additional questions were answered quickly. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back again next year!

Beautiful house and garden. Perfect location for exploring the Moray Firth. The views from the house were superb. Having the option of the spa opposite was a huge perk. I would highly recommend this house to any families looking to visit the area.

Wir sind vier Freundinnen, die zusammen eine Woche in Nairn im Marine-Cottage direkt am Strand verbracht haben. Dass man aus der Küchentür direkt zum Strand kommt, und vom Esstisch aus das Meer sieht, fanden wir wunderbar! Wir haben oft gekocht in der gut ausgestatteten Küche des Cottages. Auch mit der Aufteilung, mit den drei Schlafzimmern, den beiden Bädern und dem schönen Wohnzimmer mit dem Kamin hat das Cottage für uns vier Frauen gut gepasst und war sehr komfortabel. Wir hatten eine schöne Woche am Meer im Marine-Cottage von Allasdair! Und kommen sicher wieder!

Last minute get away, the pod it’s self was absolutely beautiful, warm and well equipped. Easy check in, the private hot tub was a lovely. Shower wasn’t that powerful but it absolutely did the job! Check the safety information if you are allergic to horses. 🫣 it does state that there will be horses close (I clearly didn’t check this before booking, ooops) Although they were no problem at all!! They were far enough away from the pod apart from a blink in the morning so it was absolutely no issue for us really. Overall it is a beautiful place and we highly recommend staying here!! Stayed here while studying minke whales (or lack there of until May-ish) and dolphins in the area. Kiddos will probably love the bunny coat hanger. I stayed in the top bedroom which is the one next to the bathroom, a nice place and the bed is soft :)

This is one of the best Airbnb stays I have had over the years. Sharon was just unbelievably kind and considerate as a host. From start to finish this was a smooth stay. As we were there over Christmas we didn’t get to visit a lot of places, but we took walks along the beach which was lovely, especially when the sun was starting to set. The home was furnished very well and had all the amenities that you would need. Despite us going over our checkout time (again apologies for this) Sharon and the team were so understanding and allowed us to move out our things and kept that kind spirit. In a way it might’ve been a plus as we got to meet her in person and she is just as lovely. Would truly recommend this home. And will definitely be booking this over summer at one point and for a longer stay, to really take in the house!!

This is our second time staying with Liz. You wouldn’t know she allows dogs as so clean. The only thing I would do is add a couple of sun lounges and make the front of the property more attractive, however can’t wait to come back for the third time.

Otters Holt was an amazing place to start our vacation. Sue and Graham are fabulous hosts. Super friendly, responsive, and had great local suggestions for ways to spend our time there. They’ve taken the time to make sure that their home has all the small touches needed, so that you feel at home as well. The full kitchen allowed us to have family over for dinner on the coast, which was great. Plenty of space to spread out and relax, and close to the village for anything you may need. Watching the sunset from the back sitting area, and reading in the garden were my favorite activities. I am thankful they shared their home with us and would absolutely return!

5* place, don’t miss out if you get the chance to stay here! The cottage was fantastic, a real home from home and immaculately clean. We had everything we needed, full kitchen, comfortable beds and good bedding, and so spacious everywhere. Great to have option of utility room too. But then you see the view! WOW, utterly beautiful and breathtaking….. sitting outside with a glass of wine or a cuppa and just watching the sea /weather… the hills/mountains in the background… we got some great sunsets and the peace and calm of this place was enviable. Sadly no dolphins spotted this time for us! Duncan was a fab host, giving so much info on the house, local area and places to visit further away… I’d definitely suggest a walk/drive to the lighthouse in Portmahomack late afternoon and sit on the rocks for a while.. feels like you’re on the top of the world! We left calm and happy and feeling very well looked after, thank you Duncan and Susan! We’d love to come back!
