Therry and Christian are lovely hosts and their apartment is absolutely perfect! It is underground, so it stays cool even on very sunny days, plus you can open the window to get a bit of the breeze. There is also heating in the room for if it is too cold, so you can create the perfect climate. The room itself is immaculate and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bathroom is spacious and well equipped, and there is a small kettle and coffee machine, plus a little fridge, for preparing drinks and keeping food. The apartment is also right on a nature reserve which is beautiful for walks. There is a lot of wildlife to see along the river. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here and if I ever find myself in Basel again, I would come back in a heartbeat.

We really enjoyed our week long stay at the place. The rooms are on the attic floor so it can get a bit hot during sunny days, but otherwise it’s a very comfortable place, spacious and well equipped, comfortable beds. Very quiet as well. The location is great as it can offer a good combination of convenience and value, travel to Basel is super easy from the bus stop 1 min away from the place. Alexandra is very responsive and provided helpful info on navigating the area and finding what we need. Definitely worth staying again next time we are in Basel area. Note: remember to buy enough roaming data or get a portable WiFi, as WiFi is not installed for the place.

The apartment is okay, nice large living room, a little sparsely furnished (a bedside table, a table or floor lamp would be nice and a coffee machine), but better than too much knickknack :) The balcony is great! From the bus stop Bärenfelsstraße around the corner, you can take bus 38 to Basel in 20 minutes. And if you're hungry, the Greek restaurant Syrtaki is recommended.

Affordable and conveniently located — just steps away from Tram 14, which provides easy access to downtown Basel. There’s also a Coop supermarket just two minutes away. Great place, and Daniel was very helpful.
