Pompadour Charming House

The cottage sits in it's own grounds of just under 2 acres with a small forest to the rear and backs on to local apple orchards. There are two double bedrooms (both bedrooms have cooling fans for summer and heaters for winter) a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge, microwave etc an open plan diner and comfortable lounge. There is french and english satellite TV, Wi-fi Internet and there is a covered terrace which faces south for outdoor dining.

Petit Farm Cottage Saint-Mesmin 24270 Dordogne

We have restored an ancient bread oven on our little farm to make a cosy retreat in a quiet corner of the Dordogne. The kitchen and bathroom combine modern fittings with ancient beams and stonework while the comfortable sitting room features a log burning stove and the original paddle for the old bread oven, found when we started the renovation work. It is an ideal base for an active holiday (many options nearby)but the nightlife consists of sharing the stars with the owls and a bottle of wine.

The charming wing includes a master bedroom on the first floor with adjoining pigeonnier for use as study or extra bedroom, while the ground floor comprises a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, kitchen, open plan living/dining room and an exercise room.
