Our cozy, light-flooded and modern apartment is located in the countryside exactly between Bamberg and Coburg - two very worthwhile cities in Franconia. Our farm is a real oasis of well-being surrounded by forest and extensive fields. Some lakes are also within walking distance. We have great hiking trails and bike tours in the Hassbergen. An absolute place to arrive and feel good and an ideal starting point for day trips, for example to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bamberg.

When master baker Hans Lange settled here in Saalfed in 1546 with the secret Nuremberg gingerbread recipe, no one could have guessed that his business would continue for 19 generations. We, as the 20th generation, cannot bake as well as our ancestors, but we would like to welcome you instead to our former bakery shop and thus continue the family tradition in a slightly different form. Historic vacation home in Schalkau near Coburg ❤️

Escape everyday life and immerse yourself in the past! The historic half-timbered house from 1693 offers you the perfect combination of the most modern furnishings and the charm of past times. Experience your stay in a very special ambience. The building was renovated with a lot of love for detail until the beginning of 2022. Coburg is about 17 kilometers, to Sonneberg 15 kilometers. Fantastic house with a view

This lovingly furnished vacation home was newly built in 2023 and impresses with its unique location and its unobstructed view on a plateau right on the edge of the forest. It is an ideal starting point for hiking/cycling tours in the Thuringian Forest and is ideally suited for couples, friends and families. The spacious property offers enough space. In the house, all 3 bedrooms are furnished in pine wood.

Beautiful house with terrace + large garden

Within a 6000 sqm plot below the Veste Coburg you get a bungalow with every comfort. 3 rooms, 100 sqm, with kitchen (equipped with everything), two bathrooms, secluded terrace with large garden. Absolutely quiet and yet right in the middle of it all. 5 minutes by car and 10 minutes on foot to the center. High-quality furnishings. Floor-to-ceiling windows with a wonderful view of nature and Coburg.

Wooden cabin in the Thuringian Forest (large)

The large, heated huts have 4-6 sleeping places and a covered terrace. Sleeping bags or bed linen can be brought or rented for a fee (€10). No plumbing in the huts! The shared sanitary facilities are about 20 to 40 m away on foot. In the area of the huts you will find campfire places, a grill can also be rented. Self-catering kitchens can be used at an additional cost.

Very nice family-friendly place to stay

The quiet yet central location makes our apartment a good choice. In summer, our courtyard offers a unique flair. Use it for eating, playing, getting together & enjoy nature and the loving details that make this place special. Opposite is a butcher shop. Also within minutes walking distance are a supermarket, a small organic shop and a fast food pizza restaurant.

Forest Hideout

Our apartment is located in quiet forest surroundings but within walking distance to Sonneberg town centre. It is perfect for hikers and mountain bikers, with hundreds of kilometres of trails leading into the Thuringian Forest national park from our front door.
