In addition to its ideal location overlooking the climatic health resort of Todtmoos and the pilgrimage church, Schwarzwaldhaus Schönbühl offers a unique feel-good atmosphere. Originally built as a sanatorium, it was run as a guesthouse for decades. For almost 100 years, people have felt comfortable here, spent their holidays here and recovered. From the sunny southern slope of the Todtmoos valley, it is a few steps to the town center with numerous shops, cafes and restaurants.

The apartment is in the small district of Karsau, which belongs to Rheinfelden (Baden). In an almost 200-year-old farmhouse overlooking our farm animals (horses/sheep/cat/dog/chickens) you can relax wonderfully. Basel can be reached in 20 minutes by car/train. Beuggen train station is within walking distance (1.5 km). Right next door is a children's playground and the forest with beautiful walking and cycling trails is a few minutes' walk away. Pfaffenberg is a small village at 700 meters above sea level above the Wiesen Valley with proximity to Switzerland and France. Our Black Forest house with a south-facing location offers up to three guests a cozy stay. The border triangle allows a variety of cultural and sporting leisure activities. I have traveled a lot myself, speak good German, English, French, Spanish and a little Italian and am always very happy about guests from near and far.

It is only a 7-minute walk to S-Bahn 6 to Basel, and 150 m to the nearest supermarket. Downtown Schopfheim is approx. 1 km. If you feel comfortable in a medieval small town with beautiful shops and restaurants, and want to visit Basel and the Black Forest, you are in good hands here. The Wiese river is 100 m to the west.

A seminar room (last photos) can be booked on request (information at Eutopia Schopfheim). The train stop "Schlattholz Schopfheim" is just 5 minutes away. Basel (35 min) and Freiburg (60 min) are within easy reach and offer great destinations. An elevator is available.
