Another long stay at Forge End has come to an end for my self and work colleague. Again a big thank you to Alea for accommodating us and looking after us over the past 13 weeks and during the booking process. Forge End has been a real home from home for us and has made a long period working away from home a really enjoyable. Your home in Applecross is real find for us and if/when we are required to visit Applecross you will be our first choice every time. Thank you again from both of us.

This garden cottage was straight out of a romantic fairytale! The gorgeous garden surrounding the cottage and the view of the water and misty rolling hills framed perfectly by a stone wall and ivy were just breathtaking (especially while sitting in the wood fire heated hot tub). The cottage itself was incredibly cozy. We had nearly gotten stranded on Islay with car issues and we weren’t even sure we’d get to enjoy this stop on our holiday. By the time we arrived, we were completely exhausted from the chaos of the previous 24 hours so this relaxing and welcoming space was exactly what we needed to decompress. ☺️ The cottage was well equipped and very clean! We had everything we needed and then some. Caroline was an exceptional host. She was remarkably responsive and lovely to interact with both prior to our stay (when we weren’t sure we’d be able to make it) and during our stay! Anyone with the opportunity to stay here, should absolutely do it! Thank you for everything, Caroline!!

We had a great time here. The location was great for us (easy drives to Fort William, Glencoe, and Kinlochmore). The home is very clean and in a perfect location. We were able to walk to dinner one night, and we were able to visit great locations in all different direction from the home. Every drive is along water with beautiful scenery all around. On Day 1 we drove 30 min North, where we hiked to Steall Waterfall before having lunch in Fort William. Afternoon at Ben Nevis Distillery followed by a gondola ride at Nevis Range for some afternoon hiking. Day 2 we drove 15 min East to Grey Mare’s Tail waterfall, lunch in Kinlochleven, and an afternoon hike around Glencoe Lochan. Day 3, we drove 15 min East to the Three Sisters area, where we enjoyed our favorite hike of the trip, Hidden Valley. We also visited Skyfall Waterfall and explored Glen Etive. I will definitely stay here again the next time I’m lucky enough to visit Scotland. Mary is incredible and a great host! Beautiful home!

Roskhill cottage is awesome. We spent 5 nights here and made our stay truly special. The house have everything you may need and more, the beautiful view and garden filled with flowers, the BBQ hut it’s a great plus, comfortable beds, impeccable clean, good size bathroom and shower, close to little groceries stores, delicious bakery and good coffee, Dunvegan Castle and gardens and fantastic walkings around, plus gorgeous Coos cows! Really worthy place. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing couple of days in this awesome Airbnb. Michelle gave us a warm welcome, when we arrived. The house is a perfect place to explore the Isle of Skye and relax in the hut tub in the evening and enjoy the sea view. We would have wished to stay longer and will definitely be back. One hundred percent recommended.

Great location with fantastic views. The hot tub was easy to use and very nice after a long day of hiking. Beds were comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

We absolutely loved our stay at Betty’s Lookout! Incredible place, with stunning views. Spent my 30th birthday here, and I couldn’t have imagined a better place. The only thing was the hot tub could have been a little bit hotter, but was still nice to soak in for a while!

The place was absolutely lovely and Debbie’s hospitality was extremely nice. The house is equipped with everything you need and the scenery is just amazing. I really recommend this place.

Alistairs cottage was brilliant, a perfect place to retreat to after a day of exploring Skye. It had everything we needed for 2 adults and 2 teens and we felt right at home.

Lovely cottage in very peaceful setting with views of the mountains and over to Skye. Enclosed garden perfect for the dogs and cottage has everything needed for a comfortable, self catering break. Secluded, deserted beaches nearby and Gairloch a short drive for more beaches and shops. Diorbhail is an excellent host who responded quickly to messages. Would highly recommend this property.

The Weather's cottage is a beautiful nest to escape to in the Highlands. There are beautiful walks around the peninsula but it is very well equipped for rainy days as well with board games and books galore. It is also well stocked with kitchen and bathroom essentials etc I would love to go back.

what a fabulous stay! we had the best time and the weather was perfect. and in such a beautiful location! we will definitely be back! very helpful owners and the cottage was absolutely gorgeous.. can't think of one single complaint! looking to book again 🤩

When we arrived at Juliet’s cottage we instantly knew we were in for a treat. With lambs and bunnies literally outside the front door - we felt fully immersed in nature. The cottage has been beautifully decorated with extra special touches including the local artwork and textiles. We absolutely loved our stay, and feel incredibly grateful that we were lucky enough to experience Skirnish Cottage whilst on a trip visiting Scotland (where my family is originally from) with our 1 year old before our next baby arrives!

Grand View was a brilliant place for our family holiday (2 adults, two children and a dog). The house was bigger than we expected and it was so homely. The views were absolutely breathtaking!! The beds were so comfortable and cosy. The log burner was great as even in May it felt chilly at times. The electric heaters were great too and kept us more than toasty. We loved the garden (and so did our dog), the views were amazing. We’d definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

A stunning location for this cottage. It was peaceful and has incredible views over the waters to the mountains. It was wonderful to see the tide come and go, we felt close to nature. The cottage was clean and well stocked with kitchen equipment. There are games and books and enough for wood for your first night there. Underfloor heating was lovely and the fire heated the house really well to the point I needed to open the door to cool down - which is great to know you won’t be cold when you’re up there at the end of Autumn! Having a bath while looking out in the views to the mountains felt like a luxury.

Grant’s place was absolutely amazing! We loved every minute of our stay. It was the perfect base for exploring Skye and taking some time to disconnect. One night we cooked in, and another we went to the Old Inn and enjoyed sitting on the patio overlooking the loch, such a beautiful view! We’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!!

Fossil Cottage is an absolute gem! We loved our time there and cannot wait to go back. For us, it was all about the idyllic location, on top of which, the place is exactly as described: clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. Despite being slightly off the beaten track, it is only a short distance off the main road hence conveniently placed for the amenities in Broadford or Kyle as well as for exploring the rest of this wonderful island. Our thanks to Fiona for being a great host, we hope to see you again before too long.

The only thing that I would rate higher than this cottage was the beautiful view and sunsets we enjoyed (these were truly spectacular!). The Byre was just right - cozy, both secluded and close to the great spots nearby such as the Glendale market/post office, Skye Weavers, and 3 Chimneys. Clear instructions and responsive communication were appreciated too. I would definitely recommend this special place to a friend and I would love to come back someday soon!

We loved this place. Truly beautiful surroundings, right on the waterfront. Nice little pub up the road that does good food and a small well stocked shop. The house was lovely. Very comfortable. Thank you!

My wife and I stayed at The Old Croft House while celebrating our 20th anniversary. Everything was absolutely perfect. The host was extremely helpful with instructions and recommendations, the house was clean, well stocked with essentials, and had every amenity we could have needed. The house and surrounding property were incredible, with stunning views and an abundance of things to do to suit most any taste. We especially recommend dinner at Atholl House a short drive away in Dunvegan. You should make reservations, but the food and host are amazing. Skye itself was also magnificent. We definitely recommend taking the walk out to Coral Beach. It’s an easy 20-25 minute walk and will give you breathtaking views and we were lucky enough to have a good bit of solitude even though the car park seemed a bit busy.

Our stay at The Cedars was a truly delightful experience. The cottage had a cozy, countryside charm and a peaceful atmosphere. Its distance from other buildings provided extra tranquility. There were some lovely walking trails nearby, and the cheerful company of sheep added to the charm. The amenities were excellent — we had access to everything we needed. All the instructions were so clear that we didn’t need to ask for anything else. Kind regards to our Hosts!

This was a lovely little cottage. Very peaceful location. Host friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Very clean, pretty and nicely presented property with log burner and underfloor heating. Well thought out and good use of space as it is quite wee! We actually really enjoyed not having a TV and sitting reading our books by the fire. We would have preferred a microwave rather than an air fryer. The area is beautiful with lots to explore very locally as well as further afield. Great for sea kayaking and cycling.
