Hut holiday rentals in Scotland

This was an absolute haven of peace and tranquillity The hut was filled with lots of lovely touches Rachael is sweet, helpful and thoughtful My Daughter, Grandchildren and myself loved every minute. the children did not want to leave, some tears shed. They said it was their favourite holiday, where else could they feed the horses in the morning with their pyjama's and wellies on.

A fantastic place to stay, close to the town an easy walk to the pub but quiet and serene when you want to wind down. The hut was comfy and cosy well stocked with everything you could need. The double bed under the single makes for some entertainment when the person one the inside needs to get up in the night but 10/10 would definitely stay again!

Great to be back for a return visit. As always everything was clean and tidy. Andrew and Lisa are great hosts and always go above and beyond to ensure guests have a fantastic stay. There's plenty to do in the area, I spent the weekend cycling and it's really easy to jump onto the Waskerley Way, which is about a mile from the farm.

We had a relaxing week long stay here and absolutely loved it. The hut is kitted out with everything we needed, and for those used to hit stays it is perfect. The bed is comfortable and therrs plenty of space. We were treated to amazing dawn & dusk choruses, as well as seeing various wildlife from the hut including hares, pheasants, chiff chaff & even house martins. The hosts are warm and friendly, and the cake on arrival was delicious! We're already looking forward to another visit!

Beautiful colourful cozy cabin , shower&kitchen was set up perfectly with everything you could need. Private and great views of the mountains from the big grass field and a loch a 10 min walk across the road.Emma was a friendly and helpful host .We had an amazing weekend and would definitely recommend to other couples.

We had the best 2 night stay in the Shepards hut ! From being surrounded by the absolutely stunning gardens, meeting the wild ducks and peahen 🦚 🦆 to exploring the absolutely stunning coastline and the Galloway forest park it really had everything we could have asked for and more. Our Hosts were absolutely lovely and did everything to make sure we had an epic stay. We loved having the gardens to ourselves it felt like we’d walked into another world. The bed was super comfy and the hut had everything we needed for our stay ! It was so cozy and clean and we will definitely come back in the near future ! It’s located perfectly as well with the tearoom on site and only being a 15 minute drive from Stranraer and 13 minute drive away from the Kitchen Coos and Ewes which we highly recommend doing whilst in the area if you want to get up close and cuddle and groom highlands cows. We were cycling in the borders, this was a great stop over, brilliant, had everything we needed, very comfortable, couldn’t want more.

The cabin is lovely and we especially enjoyed the log burning fire and seating area with comfy swing chair and hammock. Steve was very friendly and helpful. Perfect place to go to relax and Forres is beautiful too.

I had a wonderful stay at the peerie neuk. Melanie has carefully created a very special place to stay. The hut is clean and cosy with privacy and a stunning setting. I was on a bike and the location made it easy to access all I had hoped to enjoy in Unst. Helpful and practical, Melanie was also lovely to talk to. I'll be booking again. Thank you Melanie!

This was are second visit to the redfox and we will definitely return, everything was just a described and hosts were fantastic :) Also the welcome basket and prosecco are a lovely touch :)

Such a wonderful place. Loved The Shep. Spent a weekend for the Borders Book Fest. Perfect location. Christopher was super helpful and reponsive and have already recommended to friends. Don't hesitate to go!

The shepherd's hut was cosy, whatever the weather outside was doing! Pamela was very quick to respond with answers to any questions. There were little treats on our arrival and a tasty breakfast box for our first morning. The hut itself is situated in the lovely Sperrins with plenty of places to explore.

We had a very restful 3 nights. The shepherds hut is absolutely beautiful, compact but well designed meaning it was a very comfortable space to stay in. It is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The outside space had amazing views and we enjoyed watching the cows in the field behind the hut. The animals were an added bonus! Such friendly chickens who came to visit when we sat out. We also loved meeting the horses and cute donkeys, ducks, goats and pigs!! Peter was a friendly and helpful host - Deborah was away but communicated with us via message and was also super friendly. Only 10 mins drive from Alnwick so very convenient. We came away feeling like we’d been on a retreat, so relaxed and recharged from our stay in the beautiful Northumberland countryside. This won’t be our last visit!

Had a fantastic stay for a couple of nights in the Shepherds hut. Paul & Caroline are excellent hosts. They gave clear instructions for how to find it, the hut is exactly as described and has everything you need for a short stay. It was peaceful, cosy and relaxing. It is very handy for the ferry to Tobermory and there are lots of other lovely places to visit nearby too.

A perfect little weekend getaway. A few miles walk from the local village with pubs and shops. The hut itself is lovely and clean with everything you could need. Would definitely stay again!

We loved the shepherds hut, it was so private with beautiful views, we had fabulous weather and breakfast outside admiring the views was lovely! The hut is very well thought out, using the space available so well, with plenty of underbed storage space. Bathroom was grand, lovely hot shower. Jessie was a great host, very responsive to questions. We’d thoroughly recommend the shepherd’s hut for a peaceful stay

Very beautiful hut! Loved the bunk bed with the split bed on the top bunk! Close to lots of lovely towns to explore!

It was the perfect night away for me, my fiancée and pet dog. It exceeded our expectations in every way, our only regret was not staying for another night. Would definitely recommend the pizza also. We’ll definitely be returning in the future!

Beautiful and cosy Shepard’s Hut! Faye is a great host and supplied everything we needed to feel right at home, including a basket of goodies on arrival! Would definitely recommend for anyone coming up to this area of Scotland!

Beautiful, quaint, cosy shepherds hut. Perfect place to get away and relax or use as a base to see the highlights of north England. Lakes district, Pennines and Yorkshire dales all easily accessible and within an hours drive. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family!

Absolutely amazing . We fell in love the minute we walked through the gate the hut is adorable - beautifully decorated throughout . The bathroom was spotlessly clean with good quality toiletries and towels with a shower that worked well. The bed was very comfy and Anne had very kindly put a summer duvet on and left a fan available as the weather was so good . While the hut technically is in her garden you would never know it was so private and relaxing. We enjoyed time sitting in the garden with a glass of wine listening to the birds and we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere If you do have a dog then the garden is very secure - even for our Houdini pup. We didn’t use the hot tub as the weather was too hot ! I would highly recommend Anne and her beautiful shepherds hut and we will certainly be back if we can - perhaps for a few nights so we can enjoy all the area has to offer

We spent 3 nights in the lovely little accommodation and had a really nice time during our trip in the Scottish Highlands. We had all we need and everything was as described :) Lisa made it very easy for us to find and enter the lodge.
