Shepherds hut holiday rentals in Scotland

This was an absolute haven of peace and tranquillity The hut was filled with lots of lovely touches Rachael is sweet, helpful and thoughtful My Daughter, Grandchildren and myself loved every minute. the children did not want to leave, some tears shed. They said it was their favourite holiday, where else could they feed the horses in the morning with their pyjama's and wellies on.

A fantastic place to stay, close to the town an easy walk to the pub but quiet and serene when you want to wind down. The hut was comfy and cosy well stocked with everything you could need. The double bed under the single makes for some entertainment when the person one the inside needs to get up in the night but 10/10 would definitely stay again!

Nice & quiet, shepherds hut was compact & cosy. 3 of us stayed for a night and we slept brilliantly, we didn't need heating but we imagine the log burner would of been lovely in winter. All told, a great place to get your head down with everything you need for a stay for a couple of nights or just a stopover.

This is the third time I’ve visited Andrew’s shepherd’s hut and yet again I wasn’t disappointed living up to the photos and description. The linen, towels and accommodation are all spotlessly clean. I’ve never stayed anywhere more than once but I’ll come back here time and again. It’s a perfect location to relax and unwind or for exploring the county. I’d thoroughly recommend.

We had the loveliest stay at “Josephine”. Emma was a gracious and thoughtful host who went the extra mile to make sure we were all set up and comfortable. The hut was beautiful, comfortable and full of personal touches which made the stay feel even further from the city. The local area was also lovely. No need to go far at all! We hope to be back :)

The cabin is lovely and we especially enjoyed the log burning fire and seating area with comfy swing chair and hammock. Steve was very friendly and helpful. Perfect place to go to relax and Forres is beautiful too.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay with the dog! Andrew was a great host, and very understanding when we had to rearrange our booking earlier this year. The hut was exactly as described/pictured, very cosy and clean, with stunning local walks.

Remote and peaceful location but within a drive of many beautiful scenic places. We loved feeding the horses and sitting on the wooden decking eating and drinking. The big double bed is super comfy and the little hut has all the basic necessities. A lovely play to relax and great for doggies. Host was there to greet us and messaged in advance to make sure everything was set up!

The Wagon was amazing, even more beautiful than the photos! It was very comfortable, with lots of kitchen equipment and everything for a relaxing stay. The surrounding were very nice and you could even hear a owl at night 🦉. The owner's were friendly. It is in close proximity to lots of great sights and hiking. We would recommend and definitely would stay again.

Incredible view, small accommodation full of charm, all amenities in a small space. Access to the park is great, with the company of sheep. Very good welcome by the owner. I recommend it.

We absolutely loved our stay. Straight from arrival into the hot tub we felt relaxed and at ease. The rural surroundings and beautiful scenery was just perfect - but you are not too far from anything to feel that you are cut off. The cabin uses space so well and the bed is extremely comfortable! Every detail has been thought of. Even with suggested walks to do. It was just what we needed and we can’t wait to come back. Our little Italian greyhound Ned also had the best holiday and it was wonderful to see him so happy!

We arrived later than expected due to a traffic issue. This was no issue whatsoever and communication was flawless. Maggi is very friendly and gave us a warm welcome and showed us around (we even got to see her 8 ducklings 🥰). All in all a very nice experience and a very peaceful place! We’d love to come back!

we arrived late but the accommodation was as described with easy to follow directions .It was clean and reasonably well equipped.We had a great nights sleep as the bed was very comfortable and there was no noise.I woke up feeling refreshed and took my dog for a wander,it was an added bonus to have a lovely riverside walk on the doorstep Thanks

what a beautiful place, me and my partner spent his birthday weekend at poachers hut and we thoroughly enjoyed it, Lorna and Ray go above and beyond to make your stay so special and personalised its easy to see they have a real passion for hosting, they truly thought of everything possible. The space itself is very peaceful with beautiful surroundings you’d never get tired of. Even with the hut being close to the hosts it is very private. The hut has everything you could need and is just so homely. We hope to come back soon as this is the best airbnb we’ve ever stayed at with the most friendly and welcoming hosts, including the goats, cats and dogs! cannot recommend this place enough and if you do stay you must get the pancakes they’re just the cherry on top to your stay. A wonderful find in a stunning area, you need to travel few miles on a track road , but it worth it. The accommodation had everything all very clean, the only downside for us was the height of the bed getting in and out. It’s cosy great views and we both enjoyed it.

Wonderful place to stay in a wonderful part of the world. I can't rate the Peerie Neuk highly enough - it's a lovely place to stay with everything you'd need which seems remarkable in a relatively small place...but it never feels cramped. Homely would be the word for it. And Melanie's a great host - very quick to reply to queries. So...highly recommended!

This was are second visit to the redfox and we will definitely return, everything was just a described and hosts were fantastic :) Also the welcome basket and prosecco are a lovely touch :)

Stunning location. Cosy, peaceful, very comfortable bed. Shep is AWESOME. Instantly felt relaxed , surrounded by Mother Nature. So many different variety of birds even had a hare visit us every evening. Lovely area for walking, even just around the farm to the pond for the bird life. Toilet system brilliant and eco friendly. Did not want to leave. Thank you Chris we will be back Helen and Andy -Cumbria

The shepherd's hut was cosy, whatever the weather outside was doing! Pamela was very quick to respond with answers to any questions. There were little treats on our arrival and a tasty breakfast box for our first morning. The hut itself is situated in the lovely Sperrins with plenty of places to explore.

The place is soooooo beautiful. If you need some relax and a beautiful view, you need to stay here. I didn’t want to leave.

Deborah and Peter were responsible to questions and very flexible. They allowed us a BBQ and also advised we did not need to rush to check out. We were at a wedding evening do close by, and they made local recommendations for taxis. It is a beautiful and well maintained hut. Fresh coffee, milk and eggs provided. It was a bit bright in the morning so my husband couldn't sleep in (doesn't bother me!) but otherwise all fantastic. Very responsive and welcoming, but also left to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Would return and definitely recommend.

This was such wonderful stay for my husband and I during our wedding trip! Iain was so kind and welcoming when we arrived and even went above and beyond to gift us a lovely card and some wine as a wedding gift. It was so peaceful to wake up surrounded by all the animals and serene views. If we find ourselves back in the area, we would certainly love to stay here again!
