Bubbles in Champagne

We had a short but a very nice stay in this truly special house. Great peaceful location in the middle of the Champagne hills, good base to explore the area. "Maison Boules" architecture gave our stay a really nice & special atmosphere. Everything nice & smooth!

Semi-troglodyte gîte of the Vieux Chai de Trôo

We had a lovely stay in Jean-Luc's charming little troglodyte house. It's in a great spot - the views over the valley are truly spectacular, and it's in the heart of the village. The space was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and well-equipped. We particularly appreciated the cool of the cave section in the heatwave! And our kids loved being cave people for a few days. Thanks again for the warm welcome and great stay.

Charming appt Latin quarter

DonnaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Nathalie was very quick to respond to inquires and allowed an early luggage drop off and an extended stay if needed due to a train strike. The layout was - a glass door into the main living area (the only window/door for ventilation) off a private courtyard. Note - you cannot sit in the courtyard to socialize, etc. Living area had 2 chairs, fold out couch, dining table with 4 stools and a kitchen with all needed items. The loft bed was above the kitchen. The access to the basement room was via the main bedroom and had very narrow winding stairs. There was a small hallway from the main area to the bath that also served as a changing room and storage area. The apartment is small but functional. Best for families or groups of good friends who can don’t mind walking through bedrooms to get to the bathroom. The Paradis Latin cabaret next store had loud music a few nights and the bass could be heard in the main area but ended before midnight. Location was perfect and we loved our stay.

Troglodyte house / Loft troglo

RemyRating, 5 starstoday
Nestled on the heights of Trôo, this accommodation offers a superb view of the valley. It's a calm and relaxing place. The accommodation itself is atypical because it is entirely dug into the rock. Apart from the kitchen (well-equipped and functional) and the bathroom, the accommodation, which is quite deep, consists of a single room whose different spaces are separated by curtains. The deeper you go into the accommodation, the cooler it feels, which is very pleasant in this hot weather. It's bigger than the photos suggest. But what particularly appealed to me was the garden/terrace in espaliers, even more beautiful than in the photos. We are immersed in a green oasis that was still in bloom at the beginning of summer. Whatever the time, there is always a place in the shade (the arbor, the lime trees pruned into a parasol). in short, a very good discovery.
