Holiday rentals with a kayak in Seneca Lake

Our family of 6 had a great stay. It was great being right on the lake. The house has a great location with so many things to do with in 30 minutes. We would stay again.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Perfect location - just a short drive to Geneva, Watkins Glen, Penn Yan and Seneca Falls. Lots of breweries and wineries and great restaurants! The cottage was well furnished and spacious. Large refrigerator and brand new stove. We loved the bed! I am a soft bed fan and most places have hard mattresses. Our grand daughter loved the kayak. We enjoyed cooking dinners on the gas grill and relaxing by the fire after dark. There was almost no other neighbors there for our stay so it was quiet and peaceful most of the time. We DID hear the Naval Research station down the road early in the morning but that didn’t last long. Very nice dock. I enjoyed sitting out there in the mornings with a cup of tea/coffee. Bathroom/shower is tiny and a bit cramped but I understand you have to deal with the architecture of what you have All in all we loved it would stay here again!

The house was just as described! Comfortable with lots of space. There were two bedrooms and two living room areas with pull out couches. We went to a few of the wineries around; there was a lot to choose from! We loved sitting on the dock. Only things worth noting are the parking situation, where 5 cars are all that is allowed to be parked in the driveway. This wasn’t mentioned in the listing, but the owner messaged a few days ahead of time to let us know. This could be difficult if you’re having 12 people. There is an additional spot across the street where we were able to fit one more car, but it may not be enough space. Consider carpooling! My party didn’t care, but there were a LOT of dead bugs in the doorways, which could be hard to avoid at a lake house but felt like it was missed during cleaning. There were some dishes left in the sink and the dishwasher & the grill was pretty dirty, so it was also just missed during cleaning. Otherwise, our stay was great & we’d stay again!

The house is small and cozy, perfect for a couple. We loved it. The sunrise looking out the living room windows is phenomenal. The views of the lake are great. Non-stop fish jumping in the lake. Fishing from the dock was good. Caught a bass by the dock.

This Airbnb was the perfect fall getaway! We visited the lake to soak in the autumn vibes, and this spot exceeded our expectations. There was plenty of room for our group of five, and the host’s recommendations made our trip even better. While the area is known for summer fun, I think fall might be the best time to visit. We had an amazing time exploring the charming shops, cozy restaurants, and stunning waterfront spots, plus the nearby vineyards are a must-see. Can’t wait to return next year when the leaves are changing again—absolutely loved our stay!

Although we only stayed for a short while, we loved spending time with our infant at the lake house. Very beautiful view, many nearby hiking trails. We also enjoyed the campfire and some of the local restaurants

This a great option for a house on Cayuga Lake - big enough to accommodate multiple guests - and allow for cooking. Easy proximity to Ithaca a plus. Also the lake access via dock and kayaks. We had a writing retreat that was inspiring - and great hangout time with friends.

Sean’s property was beautifully maintained and exceeded our expectations. We chose this location for its accessibility, particularly for my elderly mother, and it proved to be an ideal choice. The walk to the lake was easy and convenient, making it even more enjoyable. Sean was highly responsive and communicative, promptly addressing any questions we had. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located stay.

Alec was very communicative when we had a power outage due to a bad storm, and kept us updated on when it was going to be back on. He was very supportive in answering all of our general questions as well. Highly recommend staying here and would stay here again"

This location is beautiful! Right on the lake. Easy to go down the stairs to the water. Randall was an excellent host and very responsive. The home is lovely and well kept. We had everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect! We used the canoe and kayaks and had a wonderful time on the lake. We would most definitely rent this again and we’ll keep it on our list! Highly recommend!

Our stay was great! The neighborhood was beautiful, and the cottage was very nice.

The place was very clean and everything was as described. Dustin was very responsive before and during our stay and answered all the questions we had very quickly.

The location was perfect to attend a wedding at Fountainbleu Inn (just a short walk to venue). Also, the location next to lake was wonderful. We had plenty of bedrooms with linens/towels and extras like trash bags, paper towels, toiletries, dish soap etc was very nice. The kitchen had what we needed to cook for 10+ people, except crock pot and griddle (which we brought from home). We enjoyed the hot tub and used the propane grill on the large deck. The owner stays close by and was in communication often.

Amazing place we rented both cottages and Frank was more then accommodating for our stay, we would like to come back yearly!

One of my top two favorite rental spaces to date! Dan has created a space that met any need we had. Every last detail and inch of the space has been so well thought out. A bottle of wine was generously waiting for us upon our arrival. Dan is very thorough in his instructions and communication. He reached out during our stay to make sure we were doing well and didn’t have any issues. The setting is so peaceful whether you are up around the cottage or down by the lake. Our weather wasn’t great, so unfortunately time on the lake itself didn’t happen. We hope to visit again and be able to make use of the kayaks. Fantastic find if you’re looking to get away! John is the perfect host, I felt like a V-VIP. He made sure I was comfortable and was over and above helpful with every last detail. He has bikes for guests to get around on and would graciously pick me up when I got stuck down hill. He helped me with fires to enjoy the starry night sky, and escorted me to the cabin when I got back late after a wedding party. The cabin is delightful and serene, on the edge of his property looking into bright green trees. He’s got it set up for barbecues and has even put out sticks for marshmallow roasting. A cute outdoor shower, and an eco-toilet cabin behind the room. I enjoyed swimming in the lake, doing hikes at the National reserve & on the property, watching the cows on the pasture, star gazing, & trying out the local eatery spots. I highly recommend this elevated glamping experience with a host that will do anything in his power to make sure you’re happy.

Our stay at Bear Camp was amazing. The view was fantastic, good fishing, easy to get into the lake with our kayaks, lovely porch to sit and relax and a clean, adorable cabin to stay in. What a gem. highly recommend this place and Honeoye Lake

Cozy and quaint cabin, literally feet off the lake. Perfect for my husband and I to escape to for a few days to relax and reconnect. Nancy was great, very informative, and flexible to our needs. A great get away spot for couple!

This was a dreamy peaceful little place. It was a welcomed relaxing space as I just finished a year of teaching. It looked just like the photos. Had many things that one would need to enjoy your stay. I loved the updated touches and bathroom while still being a rustic cabin. The fire place is so cozy. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We absolutely loved our stay at Lazy Loon Cottage! The house is super clean and charming. We loved the open layout, it was perfect for relaxing all together. We loved the outdoor area as well. The deck is beautiful and the kids loved the fire pit. The gradual shoreline was perfect for our kids. No need to worry about a steep drop off. They could just walk in the water as far as they felt comfortable. They enjoyed the kayaks very much! Adam was very responsive and we appreciated him checking in on us after a bad storm. We had a wonderful time during our visit. The cabin was secluded and private. Great location to hit wineries and breweries for us, we were within an hour or so of everything we wanted to do(we are used to a 20-30 minute drive on a daily basis for groceries). My favorite was the seating area on the dock overlooking the lake.

The bed was very comfortable. The cabin is sweet and cozy with all that you need including fridge and coffeemaker and electric teapot. The shower was great too. We loved sitting on the front porch in the morning sipping our coffee and watching the sunrise. We also took advantage of the lakefront to go kayaking one morning. Thank you, Heidi and Kevin, for being good hosts.

Beautiful outback cabin! Really enjoyed our stay. Nice pond for swimming and canoeing and enjoyed watching the fish.
