Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Shinjuku Station

Five stars all the way. Kan was a wonderful host & this house was magic. Everyday was made only better knowing we were returning to this home. Would recommend 100%.

We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. It’s close to public transport, convenience stores, and many restaurants, especially Korean. It is a 3 storey apartment so could be a problem for people with disabilities or large luggage, but it was a big apartment for Tokyo standards.

Maiko's room was used for one night with a friend's family for lessons, as the children's recital was along the Keio Line and would take until late at night.😊 It was my first time staying in Sasazuka, but I thought it was a very convenient town with many restaurants, clothing stores, and miscellaneous goods stores in front of the station. There are both trendy and old-fashioned shops, and I got the impression that it is a great place to live. The neighborhood near the house is quiet and calm, and I was able to stay as if I lived in this town. Children tend to get excited when they are in an environment that is different from their usual surroundings, but the house was simple and very beautiful, so I was glad that we were able to relax before the recital! I had to bring a toothbrush and cosmetics, but I was able to stay with minimal luggage because I had everything I needed, such as shampoo and towels. It was also helpful that there was a convenience store and supermarket near the house.✨ Thanks😊

Yasu was the most thoughtful host! He kindly came to pick us up from the station and was so helpful with recommendations and information. There are adult bikes available to use. When we asked Yasu, where we could rent a bike for our 6 year old, he bought one for him! Our son was over the moon and loved cycling around. We explored many parks, and we didn’t cover all of them. I can highly recommend the Traffic Park, for kids. They have bikes and go-carts for the kids(for free). The house is really lovely, spacious and comfortable. Our son, had the room downstairs. He loved the mini foosball table, and having a huge room all to himself. There were welcome snacks and the fridge was packed with food and fruit! The location was also terrific for getting around. We loved it here, and would definitely come back again!

It was a great place for us. A little small for 8 people and no sitting area but the host was so responsive and the location was ideally located near a train station. The air conditioning was strong and the showers were spacious. Thank you so much for hosting us. We would definitely come back to this place again.

We had a fantastic stay at this place in Shibuya! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Tokyo with easy access to trains, shops, and restaurants. The apartment was spotless and had a really unique, stylish decor that made it feel special. Beds were super comfortable, which was perfect after long days exploring the city. Would definitely stay here again!

I honestly don’t know where to begin. Staying in Keiko’s home was truly one of the greatest honors of our time in Japan—it was a highlight of the entire trip. From the moment we walked through her door, we were immersed in Japanese culture. Keiko greeted us with warmth and kindness, making us feel immediately at home. She patiently guided us through everything, showing us how to use her space with care and respect. Her home is a reflection of her spirit—graceful, serene, and full of beauty. I was deeply moved and inspired by her presence and generosity. Being invited to take part in her traditional Japanese tea ceremony was an experience I will never forget. She took the time to teach us the rituals and meaning behind each step, explaining everything with such clarity and heart. She dressed us in beautiful kimonos, carefully helping us put them on the correct way. Drinking matcha that was pure and fresh—words fail me. It was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. Our stay here was amazing especially for our first time in Shinjuku. The location couldn’t be beat, walkable to so many of things you want to see while visiting this area of Tokyo. The place was so clean and the bed and bedding were so comfortable I want the bedding for my own house. The host was super responsive, gave great instructions on how to get there and how to get into the place. Also was super communicative and gave helpful hints and great local recommendations. Would stay here again any trip back to Shinjuku

We really enjoyed our stay at Satoru's apartment. Everything was very nice and clean. Satoru was very thoughtful and provided an excellent description how to reach the apartment from the train station. Even with step by step pictures, so you really can't get lost. He even left us an umbrella for the rainy days. The apartment is very cute and gives your stay a traditional Japanese style. Everything was very welcoming and well stocked. He really thought of everything! 10/10 would book again!

The apartment was much bigger than I thought for being in Tokyo! There is definitely no issue opening suitcases like other Airbnb. The apartment is clean and about 12 minutes walk from Shinjuku station:

The apartment is very spacious and clean! There is lots of closet space and places to lay out luggage without ever feeling cramped. The view from the bedroom window is spectacular at night, just a beautiful view of the Tokyo Tower. The appliances worked great especially the on-demand water heater, the super auto heat function on the microwave and the Dyson hair dryer! The shower room heater/room dryer dried our clothes and the room super fast. Walkable to a convenient store, grocery store, and good restaurants. The neighborhood is truly silent at night yet convenient to multiple train lines. Excellent stay❣️

Communication with Lei was excellent, quick to respond and personal. The place is small (one big room with a sliding door to separate the space)- for us (3 adults) the space was sufficient.( 4 people with lots of luggage might struggle.) The place is tastefully done up in Japanese style and was squeaky clean. It is very central, yet quiet and easy to get to the underground. We would recommend Lei's place for 2-3 people :)

We went to Tokyo in June of 2025 and wanted a central place to stay where we could easily walk around. Neighborhood is safe, there is a Family Mart and a Lawsons right up the street and a 7-11 close as well. About a 10 minute walk gets you to the heart of things, shopping. Area, Godzilla head area. Train station about a 15 minute walk. The area is safe, his place has a washer you won’t get in a hotel. Ideal for 2 or 3 people, you could do 4 but that’s max. I would stick to 2 or 3. Wi-Fi worked well. Would stay there again.

Very neat Airbnb. Quiet street, yet close to metro station and also easy to walk to things nearby and shopping area Shinjuku. Washing machine is there and if you hang your laundry in the bathroom then it is dry very quickly. Recommended!

A great place to stay for a budget traveler looking for clean and quiet accommodations! If you are looking for luxury, this is not your place BUT if you are looking for a super quiet place that is in the heart of Shinjuku, book this place quick! We did not hear a peep at night but were able to walk to all of the sights. Andy was very responsive and, as female travelers, we felt safe.

It is a beautiful apartment with plenty of space. Everything was present. The toilet and bathroom were very clean. Trendy and fun environment with many coffee shops and restaurants. Mari and Miki are very helpful and friendly.

Beihoa's place was fantastic. The location is close to the Yamanote line, but not so close that it is noisy or crowded. There are lots of places to eat, grocery stores and 7-11s(3) in the neighborhood. We also found a Don Quiote near by...which we went to at 2 am thanks to jet lag. Beihao was very quick to respond and offered suggestions if we needed help. The Yamanote line is very easy to navigate and I strongly suggest a Pasmo or Suica card. The condo is located very close to Shinjuku and Shibuya...super fun places to visit. The condo is clean, full of light and big by Japanese standards. I would definitely return here!! Thank you Beihoa for helping to make our visit amazing!!! My son and I fell in love with Japan!❤️

Great location. Super clean and comfortable. Responsive host and easy check in/out. Sho even left two beers in the fridge for my travel mate and I! Being that it is Japan, the place is a bit small. Perfect for solo travelers or a group of two. This wasn’t a deal breaker for us but just consider before bringing more people or large amounts of luggage. This place is great! Thank you, Sho!

besides the noise from the train, its a pretty decent place to stay. I'm not a light sleeper so I could sleep through the noise but I could imagine someone who is a light sleeper might be bothered by it? overall a good place to stay for me :)

We really enjoyed Aileen’s place for the 6 nights we stayed and we really found the Nakano station very convenient being on the Chuo Rapid line we could get to Shinjuku in 5 minutes. And from there we had several connecting lines to travel anywhere within Tokyo. The space in the apartment was lavish compared to the cramped Tokyo hotel rooms and we could easily have all our luggage in the living room. The deck was an added bonus as it has some spectacular sunset views. Overall a wonderful place to be in a quiet area but close to the action.
