Holiday rentals with a patio in Smallingerland

A nice and big place to stay, well located. It is quiet and yet the path to the center is not far. The decor is great, it has everything you need. The only thing we didn't like is that a camera points to the apartment door. You feel something like this is being monitored. But otherwise everything is great, we would like to stay there again.

We had a wonderful weekend staying with Maria & Harry. The apartment is spotless, very fully equipped and conveniently located. Maria offered us a late check-out, which was very pleasant. Highly recommend to stay here.

Very good location, yet very quiet at night. The kitchen is sufficiently functional, the sofa bed moderately comfortable. Communication was straightforward and fast. Oh, the place would book again.

We had a really nice stay with great views and a cozy, private balcony with evening sun. The decor is very tasteful and modern, the apartment is clean and well maintained, the hosts are very friendly and make really delicious ice cream 😉 We will be happy to come back!

The three of us stayed in Esther's apartment for a week and felt very comfortable there. The apartment is very tastefully furnished. Everything - dishes, etc., are available in sufficient quantity and quality. There's really nothing missing. For the first day and breakfast the fridge was stocked! We were welcomed with chilled sparkling wine. We especially enjoyed the spacious kitchen-living room, which is the center of the apartment. The apartment is located in the old town of Appingedam, a very nice place and a good starting point for trips to Groningen or Leeuwarden. Highly recommend both. We highly recommend this property and Esther as a landlady.

Very nice contact with Janneke. The apartment is well equipped. A little "baroque" for our taste (gold and bronze with a lot of fragrance), but that's a matter of taste. The apartment has only one hot plate, but it is good (induction), in addition there is an air fryer and a microwave. The mattresses of the two box spring beds are a little soft/sagging, but we prefer that to mattresses that are too hard. The area is quiet and parking is not a problem.

The apartment is lovingly furnished and was handed over super clean. Check in was possible via a key box. We particularly liked the large terrace overlooking a cow pasture. We felt very comfortable and would come back.

We had a wonderful week. The house has all the comforts, including a very nice kitchen. The sun in the front garden was also nice, where we could have had a quiet breakfast. The location is nice and quiet, so we were really able to sleep very well. In the area we enjoyed the nature, the tranquility and the friendly people. The reception was warm and personal, even our dog Bettie received a warm welcome. All in all recommended, we will definitely come back there. Finally, I would also like to mention Dokkum, a very nice town with special shops and good restaurants. Thank you Coen and Anne (and Marianne) for this beautiful, nice week. This was our second time staying at the apartment and we really enjoyed our time there. The two of them have a wonderful property, which they have lovingly designed and maintained. A great place to relax and a great starting point for day trips. This won't be the last time we've been there. (:

Small, nice cottage located directly on the canal. Clean and well equipped. City center about 5 min by car. We will definitely be back!!

We recommend the place without restrictions! It all matches the information and we felt very comfortable. The ambiance in the apartment is certainly one of the reasons. Also, all the details are thought of to have a relaxed stay. Michiel is a very accommodating host. We will be happy to come back!

We were in this beautiful house for an extended weekend. Everything is as shown in the photos and as described. The house is top equipped, nothing is missing. The location is exceptional...very nice directly on the water with its own jetty. From there you can make many excursions, cycling, etc. Communication with the hosts was very friendly and with lots of helpful information. We say thank you for the wonderful stay and maybe until next time.

The apartment Zwaluw has a very nice view from the large balcony. Hosts were very accommodating, friendly, concerned about our well-being and warm. For longer stays, bed linen and towels were exchanged and residual waste was disposed of. Thus highly recommended. Gladly again, best regards, Sabine and Andreas.

We had a lovely stay. The place was private and had everything well-deserved rest for a few days. Bed was comfy and view was beautiful. The waterfront seating was our favorite. The surroundings are great too! We cycled over 80 kilometers. We definitely recommend this place 👍

We spent a weekend with two families, including four children. Location is beautiful, quiet yet close to all amenities. The accommodation is very complete and equipped with every comfort. The children have enjoyed the space with table tennis, pool table and shuffleboard for hours. Ideal when it was raining outside. The horses outside were also very popular with the children. The sauna and plunge pool for the parents made the house complete. Mieke is very hospitable and gave us good tips for the area. We had a fantastic weekend. The kids can't wait to go again. Had a super fun weekend with friends in Groningen. Everything was within walking distance. Super good communication with the host.
