Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Somerford Lagoon

We knew the house would be amazing from the photos but we were absolutely blown away when we saw it! It is huge (especially the two main bedrooms) and we loved having the extra little lounge for the kids which was stocked with games and books. The outside space is incredible with wrap around decking and a huge bbq. Michelle responded very quickly whenever I sent a message and her instructions for how to find the house were easy to follow. Would definitely recommend the house and will be back next year!

Beautiful place. We enjoyed every bit of it. Perfect location for peaceful time out from the busy schedule. We will definitely come back for longer stay next time.

Stayed at the Goslings at the Lower Mill Estate for my parents 50th wedding anniversary - there were 10 of us, ages ranging from 7 to 73. The house was perfect - everything was very clean, there was plenty of crockery and cutlery, lots of fridge space and comfy beds. The house is overlooking a lovely lake with ducks wondering around. You can choose to chill or do lots of activities. The house is a few mins walk to a cafe, tennis courts, a small gym and pool complex. There is a very warm indoor pool and a heated outdoor pool that had lots of sunbeds. There is also a little lake to dip into at the back of the building. You need to book the pool the day before via a phone number. There is an activity centre, where you can book canoeing and paddleboarding, and there is another outdoor heated pool, a trampoline and more tennis courts. I would def recommend if you want to get away for a multi-generational break.

We had such a wonderful and memorable stay at Fig Tree Cottage. Everything - from the moment we booked - was exceptional. Phillipa goes above and beyond as a host with local recommendations and a lovely little welcome hamper, including her home made plum jam! We even had a surprise delivery of some sweet treats after a day of walking and exploring in the surrounding Cotswolds countryside. We hope to be back very soon as 2 nights didn’t quite feel long enough. Thank you once again for allowing us to have such an amazing stay at Fig Tree. Hope to see you soon!

We loved our time in the Jasmine Cottage! After 5 busy days sight seeing in London, this was the perfect place to stay with our 8 and 5 year old sons to just relax and enjoy a slower paced few days. A 1 minute walk (at most) to the town shops, restaurant, and water. Everything looked exactly like the photos, the host was extremely responsive and helpful, and the location could not have been better. We already miss it and will look back fondly on our time at Jasmine Cottage for many years to come!

Carthorse Barn is just simply stunning ! So spacious and beautifully decorated, we felt right at home . The day we arrived weather was not the greatest so having a wood stove was blissful. The cottage is very spacious and has everything needed for a comfortable stay , kitchen is fully equipped, downstairs toilet a welcomed bonus. Upstairs both bedrooms are immaculate, spacious and have very comfy beds . I loved the window bench in the kids bedroom, such a wonderful nook to relax. The main bedroom has the biggest and comfiest bed I have ever seen , such a beautiful wooden headboard too. I loved the free standing bath. The farm is also lovely and we enjoyed going to see the pigs and walking round the lakes.

The house was just perfect. Clean, smart and fully equipped with good quality bedding, kitchen stuff and living area. Lovely touch of a treats parcel on arrival. Someone popped round to say hello and offer tips which was a lovely gesture. Comfortably fitted 7 people. So near a lake to swim in too, which was a magical bonus. We will definately be back.

A fantastic house with beautiful views of the lake. Stephen and Caroline were so helpful with local information and recommendations. The house was clean and had everything that you could need in the kitchen. Lots of lovely little touches such as a pack of BBQ coals, bottle of Prosecco, and those useful things like tea bags, washing up liquid etc to get you started. We were a party of 7 ranging in age from 22 to 84. So many things to do but also just relaxing at the house on the terrace was a treat. Will definitely return. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at The Nook. The location is perfect - just a short distance from Cirencester - and the view over the English countryside is absolutely breathtaking. The apartment itself is nicely decorated and fully equipped with everything you need. The bedroom is cozy and comfortable, the kitchen has all the essentials, and the bathroom is modern and clean. The free Wi-Fi and on-site parking were also great bonuses. We loved how peaceful and quiet the area was. It's close enough to the main roads to explore the Cotswolds region and its nature, yet secluded enough to feel like a true escape. We highly recommend this apartment. We would definitely love to return!

Louise’s place was lovely, as described. Perfect location for walking all over Bath. Easy 10 minute walk from train station. Beautiful, thoughtfully furnished apartment. Would absolutely stay again.

Thank you Jenn & Nick for hosting us in your accommodation. It was a pleasure to discover the Cotswolds by staying in this small and cosy flat. Everything was very clean and tidy. The flat has everything you need for a few days (also shampoo and conditioner!). The accommodation is only 5-10 minutes walk from the centre, where there are many restaurants, supermarkets and shops. Parking is easy on the street or nearby. The only drawback is that there is another flat upstairs and the floor sounds a lot when guests walk around.

Beautiful, well equipped and clean apartment right in the centre of Bath. The icing on the cake was the beautiful view of Bath Abbey, impressive both day. We would definitely stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending it highly.

Comfortable compact accommodation. We enjoyed our short stay at Studio37. Everything was spotlessly clean, and well equiped. We had all that we needed for our stay. Good instructions were left for us on the workings of appliances, places to visit and to eat. Central to town centre for easy exploration and post diner strolls. Good communication and instructions through out. Appreciated letting us know that we could arrive early if wanted to as all was ready for our visit.

One of the best airbnbs I have stayed so far. Chonette has been so lovely, kind, easy to communicate with. She met us at the train station, walked us to the house, then dropped us to the train back. The house felt just right at home. I cooked during my stay and there are plenty ingredients at the cupboard can be used. Chonnete also took my little boy to do some gardening and picked a flowers for us. I would definitely come back if I am in this area again. Thank you very much!!!

Easily one of the best Air BnB experiences I have had. An extremely comfortable stay in a great location with kind, responsive, and helpful hosts. I could not ask for more. Topper was that I forgot my AirPods in the unit and they mailed them back to Canada and would not accept payment for doing so. Wonderful human beings and a wonderful place to stay!

John was very friendly and helpful! He stocked the kitchen with very nice snacks, drinks, and treats for our stay and gave us very helpful info for our travels. the space was so special and charming, one of our favorites fo sure!! the front yard garden is just gorgeous! 10/10 would stay again!

Victoria's property is exquisitely decorated and furnished throughout. The location is perfect for a short stroll into the town centre and access to the disused railway walking trail opposite. The living room is large and very light and airy with a high ceiling. Although at first floor level, the back door opens out onto a lovely enclosed garden. Ideal for our dog. Above all, we were very surprised as to how peaceful and quiet the location was. Thoroughly recommend it, couldn't have wished for any more, Victoria had thought of everything.

Everything you could possibly need was there - even a fan, which I really appreciated! Kitchen was well stocked with implements. Bathroom as super clean - as was the whole flat. Great little room :)

it was absolutely amazing! it was extremely peaceful and in such a beautiful area. its not too far of a drive to local places like Bath. the apartment was really spacious and clean. me and my partner absolutely loved it and hope we can come back soon

Rosalind was a very friendly and communicative host. She offered a range of breakfasts and recommended some lovely local walks. The property was in a fab location with lots of nice walks/pubs nearby.

Don’t hesitate if you want to stay in this area. The property is just as described, spotless and felt like a home. There are stairs so might not suit everyone but we had a wonderful two night stay. Highly recommended and Lucinda and Katy were quick to respond and we were given lots of local places to visit and eat. Perfect.

The space is more beautiful than the pictures, very clean warm and relaxing. Paul was so extremely helpful and kind. We missed our car rental so arrived a day late and Paul organized that our waitrose order be received by a neighbor. He also allowed us to check out later since no one else was arriving that day. Perfect wonderful stay!
