Cozy jungle 2-bedroom cabin

EthanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Very unique experience. You are actually right in a jungle. With that you have some animals, insects, and noise. We had a small mishap with the ceiling when we first arrived but the hosts quickly took care of it and upgraded our rooms. The jungle rooms are a bit louder at night with the frogs and smaller compared to the other sites in the facility. Overall cool place and great hosts

Banyan Bungalow

Manta Soul was a beautiful place to stay with lots of thoughtful amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and eating breakfast in the garden outside the communal kitchen. The property is very close to lots of beaches and other fun things to do in the South Kona area.

Pele cabin Volcano

JoanneRating, 5 stars25 months ago
Loved the view of the volcano. Actually caught a rainbow in the clouds with the volcano behind. Great stars at night if it’s not cloudy. Make sure to bring warm clothes as the place gets pretty chilly. Space heaters and cozy blankets helped. Definitely use the fireplace to get a nice temperature in the living room.

Great place to stay out in the Rainforest. Dawn is very responsive and a great host. Definitely recommend for those looking to stay out in the forest instead of in town. Definitely a remote spot, great set up.

A-Frame Hale Nene with Hot Tub

AlexandruRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The only thing that made me uncomfortable was the shower drain button. Water kept accumulating, and I had to keep pressing the button constantly to let it drain. But that’s an easy fix. Everything else was absolutely 5 stars—thank you so much for hosting!

Majestic tree garden cabin with outdoor kitchen

RobertoRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I had a great stay at Ben and Katherine's property. The photos do not do it justice - it's tucked in the forest farms yet not far from the main road. The outside is lit up at night with plenty of solar lights through the evening and plenty of lighting inside as well. The cabin has EVERYTHING. Hot water, electricity, BBQ grill, a nice big sink by the grill for dishes and pans. The bathroom was super cool! Although it's open air, it does have two walls and a ceiling but the open area faces away from the road and into the forest for privacy. In the afternoon you can shower in the sunlight. Their son does an excellent job with the upkeep and the details throughout make you feel right at home. Communication was excellent and they were very responsive. If you want a quiet place to wind down to and wake up to close to volcano or even Hilo, this is it! I highly recommend and I look forward to coming back 😎

Hale Palila- A-Frame Cabin & Hot Tub

JodieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really enjoyed staying here! My son and I enjoyed time in the hot tub, and my family enjoyed time together in front of the wood fire stove at night. Lots of heaters and extra blankets available to keep you warm at night, it does get quite chilly. Great location and close to Volcanoes National Park. We enjoyed the winery and food truck close by too! The house is a bit old, but interesting and quaint with some original fixtures. We would come back!

Studio Ohana Cabin Retreat

MarjorieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Holly's place was exactly as described. The photos do not do it justice. Sitting on the patio at night in the hot tub or next to the beautiful firepit was extremely relaxing looking out to the tropical forest listening to the coquis exceeded all expectations. I also picked up several fantastic ideas for our upcoming home in the same area. Their home was beautiful and extremely well built and planned.

Makoa Kabin

KarlaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I loved going to sleep to the frog chorus. and waking up to the chickens clucking. The jungle-like surroundings are beautiful, and it's very tranquil. I was a bit unsure after reading an earlier review that said there were bugs and the hosts were difficult. I'm glad I read all of the positive comments from other guests and stayed there anyway. I found it very clean, and didn't have any "roommates" or other issues. The hostess was sweet and very available. I will come back to this lovely spot.

Historic Home Close to Volcanoes National Park!

WhitneyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We moved around a few times on this trip, but this was our favorite place that we stayed. Everything was very clean and well stocked. We felt right at home. I was feeling a bit nervous at the last minute about not having a/c, but that was not an issue at all. I was surprised with how much cooler it was in that side of the island. This was a great little area with everything we needed near by and plenty of character. I loved the history of the house!

Hawaiian Treehouse Cabin

TysonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was a great place to get away from it all. A little strange taking a shower under the house but we got used to it. It’s 30 min from Hilo so if you are wanting to go there daily it can be quite a drive. Overall super happy with the rental

Kilauea Cabin

TedRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Great location next to Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. You can walk about 1.5 miles and be standing on the rim of an active volcano or take a 5-minute or so drive to park and walk to the various viewpoints along the rim. Watching the birds on the deck was a definite plus. If you wake up around sunrise - don't bring an alarm clock. The roosters in the area will tell you when the sun starts to rise. The Wi-Fi/internet connection was slow and at times spotty. We were still able to do a little work (usually work a few days during our stays in vacation rentals). If it's not raining around sunset, try to get a clear view of Mauna Loa and you will be able to see almost the full volcano and an amazing sunset. Speaking of Mauna Loa, highly recommend taking the winding Mauna Loa road to its end. It's only 11.5 miles but about 3/4th of that distance is either 25 mph or 15 mph - so it takes about 45 minutes. Stop and walk around the various Kapuki along the way - well worth it!

Off-Grid Rainforest Retreat

IsaacRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Awesome authentic off grid experience living in a super clean cabin in the woods with all the amenities you could want or need. Falling into a deep sleep in the cabin loft to the serenade of the coqui frogs or taking an instant hot water shower outdoors surrounded by only the rainforest, these are experiences that will stick with you for a lifetime. Tom and Misty are really cool and accommodating, and gave me great advice for living off grid in the Puna district. Don’t miss this rainforest cabin experience, because once you find it, you might never want to leave!

Hulili Fruit Farm: 150 5* reviews on other sites!

LawrenceRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The farm cottage was delightful- a home away from home. After being out exploring the island, it was the perfect place to return to and relax and enjoy the view of the fruit orchard and the ocean beyond. We saw both single and double rainbows after a gentle rain. Madeleine left us plenty of great ideas where to explore the island and gave ideas of where to eat. We took advantage of all the suggestions. Good location to explore the coasts and the Volcano National Park. We had everything we needed and more. We would gladly return.

Kamaka Cabin- A rainforest retreat near Natl. Park

MoniqueRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Kamaka Cabin was a comfortable and brilliantly located place to stay. We enjoyed its spaciousness and appreciated it's cleanliness. We also appreciated the prompt communication when we asked a question. We were a bit surprised by the proximity to others. When we arrived 5 other cars/trucks were in the shared driveway and the gorgeous lanai looks directly on the other rental (cottage) and water tank.

Lovely cabin minutes from Volcanoes National Park.

FletcherRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This is a very nice AirBnB. It is close to Volcanoes National Park (perfect to view an eruption if you’re lucky) and the wonderful Volcano farmers market (Saturdays / Thursdays). Everything about the cabin was perfect. Kris and Robin were friendly and responsive. I would be excited to stay here again!
