What a lovely stay! This historic home is full of charm and thoughtful touches—from the carefully curated decor to the cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The attention to detail is clear in every room, and it’s obvious the hosts take great pride in the space. The natural lighting throughout the house was absolutely beautiful—soft, warm, and made every corner feel bright and inviting. Mornings with coffee by the window were a daily highlight. One of our favorite features was the backyard—it felt like our own private retreat. The landscaping was beautiful, and the jacuzzi? Absolutely perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Quiet, peaceful, and totally relaxing. If you’re looking for a place with character, comfort, and a little slice of tranquility, this is it. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved the Ivy House. The cottage was a perfect place to relax after a busy day, but the grounds were beautiful enough that we didn't feel the need to go anywhere. We had a lovely time and would love to visit again!

Well appointed cottage and great use of space. Thoughtfully decorated with attention to detail. Everything you might need while traveling was available. Our little Lulu especially loved the dog friendly yard and welcome basket. Couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing stay. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful area, amazing house to stay in. Very private and the animals were so fun to see. The air conditioning worked so well, all the appliances, TV and hot water/shower were great. Her instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Was able to reference them when I needed. Driving to the house was harder than I expected…the road became one way and ran into an opposite coming car that made it difficult for us to move around each other. Overall it was a unique experience!! Loved hearing the animals and peacocks!! Would stay again and would recommend!

Tom is a great guy and cares about his guest. I would highly recommend him and his location to anyone looking to stay in the Huntington Beach area.

My wife and I enjoyed staying in “The Loft” guesthouse. It was clean, cheerful and located in a quiet neighborhood. The host is friendly and responded quickly to questions. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom is large and well stocked with towels and washcloths. The guesthouse was located close to shopping, restaurants, and major San Diego attractions. The kitchen had everything we needed. We recommend The Loft for your stay in San Diego.

Amazing place to stay. Very safe and nice neighborhood to walk around. Perfect for dogs, fully enclosed and safe to leave outside. We could walk to the beach with the dogs from the air bnb. 5-10 min drive from everything in Oceanside. We will definitely return!

Wow. This place is magic. Perfect for a quick solo getaway and I’m already planning my next trip back with my partner. There is so much to do and enjoy. The majestic oak tree out back, the outdoor soaking tub, the outdoor daybed, and the breakfast Maggie made for me were highlights. I felt totally immersed in the wild nature of Topanga. This was truly a 10/10 experience. Only note is that there are mosquitos right now, so plan accordingly :)

Ed was a great host. The house was beautiful and fully stocked with everything you could think of, even Qtips in the bathroom and a dog bowl for my pup! Beds were comfy and house was very clean - yard was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Cali weather. Can’t wait to rent again!

Lach was a great host. He was proactive with his communication and left us easy-to-follow instructions for check-in/out. The place is very clean, in a walkable location, and perfect for a short stay.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was beautiful and the location was incredible - you couldn’t be closer to the wineries. The hosts were very communicative and flexible. Google Maps had a bit of trouble with the address but David and Veronika gave perfect instructions and we found the place no problem. Super quiet but still in the middle of everything!

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Ken and Sandy. As we entered the cabin, we were welcomed into the space with soft jazz music playing and a plate of freshly baked homemade scones — such a lovely touch. The home was spotless, well-stocked, and beautifully maintained, offering a perfect mix of comfort and charm. The setting was quiet and private, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway which is exactly what we needed/wanted. Some of our favorite moments included enjoying breakfast on the patio, reading peacefully by the creek, and spending our evenings having dinner and playing games in the cozy greenhouse. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to make our stay feel special. We couldn’t have asked for a better retreat and can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend.

This was our second time staying here and it’s such a great little spot within walking distance to everything OB. We will always check to see if this place is available when visiting friend in San Diego. Everything is exactly as described and William gives clear instructions so it’s hard to imagine someone having an issue with check in, local info, etc.

This was an absolutely beautiful stay! Highly recommend this space and this host. Just a wonderful trip from start to finish and we are so grateful to have stayed at SWELL! Side note that you may not see from the photos- the natural lighting inside was beautiful all throughout the day. Felt like we were in a movie with how beautiful and cute it was inside! This is my second stay, with my son, and it was great! We had a great time, great place to stay, great communication, great recommendations. We absolutely love it here! The warm outdoor shower and the view is the best!! Thank you for the great stay, as always! we hope to be back soon!

Great place to stay , lovely rustic cottage with really good outdoor space . Downtown approx 30 mins away by metro . Quiet and out of the way , just how we like it . Don’t come by metro from airport , it took over 2 hours , got a taxi back to airport , took 1 hour in heavy traffic . It was nice to meet Richard and share some stories of travel and of course Bandit . Contrary to what we had read previous to coming , metro was absolutely fine .

The Crows Nest met all my expectations and then some. The condo had everything we could ever need for a short trip, and the location was ideal. We were only in town for the weekend for a friend's wedding, but I will absolutely save Alicia's place for future trips.

I found this place after an extensive search for a reasonably priced rental that was near the water and also accommodating to my party of 3. The cottage itself is quite nice and very clean, with comfortable furnishings, and a great location. Ken and Bri are very gracious hosts, communicating with them was very easy and they made sure my daughters and I were comfortable throughout our short, but wonderful stay. I think this is one of the most pleasant AirBNB stays I have had over the years. Definitely going to keep this one for future rentals!
