Tucked away in Topanga (yet only minutes from town) sits Chandler Farms, a 500 sq ft cabin. Recently remodeled, the cabin is a perfect mix of rustic & luxury featuring a private deck with a hammock facing breathtaking views and a massive walk in shower. A newly remodeled guest cabin with a private front yard and a huge private deck overlooking the canyon. A gorgeous 2 person bathroom with double sinks and a spa style shower with a bench and skylight. Raw hard wood ceilings with rustic touches makes this a unique yet comfy space. Just a 2 minute drive from rustic Topanga and 10 minutes from the beaches of Santa Monica and Malibu, we are also directly across the street from Topanga state park, the largest tract of park land in Los Angeles. Trailhead is within walking distance with access to miles of trails of varying difficulty. Red Rock Canyon is also 5 minute drive. Over the ridge to the Valley is 12 minute drive with access to all modern shopping amenities and restaurants. Its really up you. We are a super chill couple with years of airbnb experience as both hosts and guests. Your space is your own private area that is connected to the main house by a short trail. We are always available to help with advice about the area or to just hang out and trade travel stories. Topanga is a special place that has been occupied by native americans for hundreds of years. They chose this area for its lush vegetations, calm winds and dry temperate climate. The moisture comes up the canyon every morning and evening to feed the vegetation. It truly is a mountainous paradise within proximity to all LA has to offer. The people are a laid back mix of musicians, artists and film makers from all over the world. You can literally get lost in the maze of meandering roads and trails that give sight to the eclectic architecture and natural vistas. Everyday the weather is near perfect - you have to experience it yourself to fully understand. A rental car is a must in LA. You can use LYFT or UBER to get to and from the city but it is not as convenient as having your own wheels. A taxi can be taken from LAX or Burbank airports to the cabin. Mountain biking and hiking are great ways to explore the area. Several trails originate near our home and can be taken all the way down to the coast. Topanga Creek Bicycles is just down the street and is one of the coolest bike shops on the west coast. They offer great deals on mountain bike rentals and can give you advice on what trails you should explore for your skill level. The cabin is a guest house on our property with its own parking space. We have 2 driveways so parking is never an issue. The cabin has a kitchen with a fridge, 2 burner range and a microwave. The private deck features a picnic table, a hammock, two lounge chairs and a small propane Weber grill. Available for any help/guidance! And we love to meet our guests but fully respect their privacy. The cabin is a few minutes' drive to Topanga and some great organic restaurants as well as fun shops. Drive to the beach in Malibu or stay in the area and commune with nature on a hike or bike ride. Topanga Creek Bicycles is just down the street and is one of the coolest bike shops on the west coast. They offer great deals on mountain bike rentals and can give you advice on what trails you should explore for your skill level.

The town of Joshua Tree is the gateway to the awe inspiring national park in the magical Mojave. The JTree Phoenix House is located just off Park Boulevard, the road that takes you to the Parks West entrance. This amazing getaway is located in the heart of Joshua Tree Village and only 8 minutes away from Joshua Tree National Park. Conveniently situated so that you can easily walk to local restaurants or local fare. What better way to enjoy the unique desert, Joshua Tree and the Joshua Tree National Park! Inside our house, you will find a cozy living room with fireplace, a separate dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, one master bedroom with king bed and one guest bedroom with queen bed, AC, wireless internet and netflix streaming. There is plenty of natural light pouring through from the windows. There are two outdoor areas to enjoy: the front porch and enclosed backyard. Our south facing front porch is made for relaxing. Enjoy your own, fully fenced private backyard where you can hang out in the hammock, watch the stars, BBQ or read a good book. Both beds have new quality foam/latex mattresses, premium down comforters and cozy cotton duvets - you will just want to stay in bed forever! To make it more fun, the large screen TV pulls out from the wall and can be viewed from any angle in the living room. TV comes with Netflix, HBO, (no Cable), Blu Ray DVD player and WiFi. So many movies to choose from! There is a full kitchen just in case you are inspired to try something new, so please cook away! We offer free condiments such as olive oil, Himalayan salt, pepper, several premium tea varieties and fresh ground coffee and expresso. Bouldering, hiking, wildlife (quail, roadrunner, tortoise) and Petroglyphs can be found at the end of the street (two minute walk) in Coyote Hole. There's a wealth of things to do in the area. For food, there's a great cafe around the corner called Crossroads Cafe, fresh smoothies and health food at Natural Sister’s Café and great Thai at Royal Siam Cuisine Thai Restaurant. There are also some great bars in the area including the brand new “The Station” and the Joshua Tree Saloon. Joshua Tree is a magical place. Come and discover why it’s so special! Guests love our location and the views leave you recharged and relaxed! Suncatcher is a place to relax, and have fun under the happy rays of the Mojave sunshine. Experience an intimate trip for two, or spread out with a group throughout the four separate sleeping areas. Enjoy striking desert views from the private backyard as you splash in the cowboy tub, gather around the fire pit, or swing in a hammock. We come out and use the house ourselves often so we have outfitted the home with lots of love and conveniences for cooking. We have a game and book library for you to enjoy during your stay- we think the desert's the perfect place for a digital detox ;) Access to the House and private Backyard with Cowboy tub :) ! Our property manager is near by and ready to assist :) The house is located between the Joshua Tree National Park entrance and Pappy & Harriet's in nearby Pioneertown—a 10-minute drive to either place. There's a market down the road, as well as a yoga studio, coffee shops, and adorable antique stores. The best way to get around is with a car - Uber and Lyft both service the house as it's on a paved road, so if you're planning on partying at The JT Saloon or Pappy's ride share will still be an option for getting back to the house. We do have security cameras at the house entrances. You are welcome to have family and friends gatherings in the space but please treat it with care - it is a special place to us we use often ourselves and not just a hotel to us.

This light and airy hideaway was designed and built by the host incorporating her own handiwork in art and furnishings. Initially a granny flat, it's been transformed into a comfortable and spacious hang out. Its central location makes it ideal to explore the area. There is plenty to do on site; barbecue, play corn hole or horseshoes have fun with games and cards kept in the hall, enjoy the pool and hot tub in the warm season. May to Sept. The twin beds can be easily configured to a king bed. Price includes a 13% local occupancy tax. Your cottage opens up to the pool area which maybe available during the summer months but not guaranteed as this pool is too deep for kids to stand in. There is also a hot tub open from March to Dec. So the key to open the pool is subject to conversation. The pool is shared with us. No parties please. This is a non smoking property. We love dogs but we can not allow pets brought in. We have a large dog and cats. We kindly ask for slow driving up and down driveway as the animals are slow to move as they own the space. These are accommodations you wont find at a hotel. We are not one, this is our home we are opening to share with you. We are next door most times if you have any questions otherwise we will respect your privacy. The guest house sits on three acres with the main house where the host lives with her husband. It is just one and a half miles to the freeway and town. Four minutes to restaurants and grocery stores. There are chickens, 2 baby gosts, and a rabbit on the property along with cats and a large dog, Jules, who is sure to greet you. The pool will be opened to guests that can swim only as the shallow end is quite deep. Opened when the temperature increases in the summer months. A cold pool is no fun to swim in. The hot tub is open in March to Dec. Contact hosts if plan to use.

Studio by the Beach with Separate Entrance

Open the sliding door to let the gentle sea breezes waft in and settle down to stream a favorite show on the Smart TV. The interior blends coastal touches with boho chic, and there are little luxuries like a work space and secluded private outdoor space. I adhere to the CDC cleaning protocols. I use UV C light for added disinfecting and sanitizing of the Studio, and have also added a Dyson air purifying fan and heater to insure you have clean air. This studio is located on the first floor of my three story home. The studio shares the first floor with the garage so you don't have any shared walls. You have two windows, one in the bathroom and a sliding glass door in the bedroom, they bring in light and the sea breeze but have no views. While this studio is private you may hear footsteps above, music drifting in from other parts of the house, and the sounds that come from everyday living. You'll have one parking space available on the right side of the driveway. More free parking is usually available at the end of the street, 15 houses down on panama. During the day there's extra parking at kiddie beach. I live on the two top floors of the house so i'm easily accessible for as much or as little interaction as needed. The setting on a quiet street is only half a block from channel Island harbors Kiddie Beach and 1.5 blocks to Silver Strand Beach, a popular surf spot and vantage point for catching the sunset. Watch for whales and discover a yoga studio, corner market, and salon, all only moments away. Hollywood by the sea has unique sounds too. You'll hear sea lions, boat horns, and on occasion a fog horn. Every morning at 8am you'll hear our national anthem, and at sunset you'll hear taps. You'll have to pay attention or you'll miss it. It's one of many thing I love about this area.

And when you come back to your home base you can enjoy the soothing colors of this freshly remodeled studio apartment. Light blocking shades and window sound package greatly diminish outside noise while being only one block from Main Street. Relax on the super comfy dual recliner sofa. Air conditioner, heater, 42 in. flat screen TV, Roku player and WIFI. Shower /tub combo. King sized bed. Kitchenette has microwave, under counter refrigerator/freezer, Keurig coffee maker, toaster and other necessities. Continental breakfast provided in fridge for your first morning. Coffee, tea, milk, hot and cold cereal stocked. Off street parking provided. Private entry. Laundry available on request. You are welcome to use the deck. The studio is separate from the residence so there can be as much or as little interaction with hosts as you would like. We are happy to be available to assist you in any way and we hope you will love this area as much as we do. The property is right in the middle of California's beautiful Central Coast, with proximity to wineries, beaches, dining, shopping, and historical sites. The home sits halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. The nearest airport is in San Luis Obispo, 30 miles away. The Amtrak train depot is 5 miles away in Paso Robles. Bus service is available along the Hwy. 101 corridor. We are within walking distance to a variety of restaurants. We have small markets, wine tasting, gift and coffee shops. Just three blocks away is the Templeton Park where there is a wonderful Saturday morning Farmer's Market. We also have a Trader Joe's in town.
