Boutique hotel holiday rentals in Southern Province

When I first saw the pictures, I thought it was unreal. To my surprise, it's exactly like it's in the pictures. Nirosh, his wife, and the entire staff are some of the warmest and most welcoming people you'll ever encounter. We were a group of 6 and Nirosh personally ensured that we had a good time. So much so that he arranged a FREE Galle tour. The service was remarkable. You feel like home. The property is so beautiful you wouldn't want to go back. We took back a LOT of memories from this place (and some insane pictures as well!) Thank you Nirosh!

Place was very good! Breakfast was not included, but was very tasty. Beer is cold in the fridge ;)

The stay with Igor and Michele was just nice. It is quietly located, the pool and the many seating areas invite you to relax. We had breakfast together and the whole atmosphere was super friendly and familiar. We would definitely come back and recommend it 100%.

This is a fantastic AirBnB house with a beautiful view of ocean, and with gardens, pool, and covered terrace. You are walking distance to two beaches and some good restaurants. The people that take care of the house, Nuska and Kumara, are really wonderful. They are very attentive, bring you fresh juices throughout day, and cook delicious meals. The breakfast is included but lunch and dinner can be served at cost (which is way cheaper than restaurants and at least as delicious). We spent a week here and that wasn’t enough…it really is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Put simply, we LOVED Isana: the unusual, airy, minimalist Japanese design, stunning location fronting onto such a pristine, unspoilt beach with (for our tastes) just the right level of activity to hold some interest and friendly faces without feeling remotely hectic, and absolutely divine food, made our stay feel wonderfully indulgent and relaxing. Tekla's cooking is, as we'd been told, incredibly good - she even allowed us into the kitchen to see how she put some of her curries together. It's not the cheapest place you'll stay, but it will no doubt be one of your favourites and most memorable. The beach puts others to shame in beauty and cleanliness and, although more comfortable seating for the beach and garden would have been welcome, the bodyboards meant there was little time for lounging around anyway!

This Airbnb stands out as one of my preferred accommodations. Impeccable cleanliness, a fantastic pool, and an idyllic setting make it one of our most memorable stays in Sri Lanka. The tranquility of the location, surrounded by birds and nature, adds to the charm. The breakfast and dinner were not only super delicious but also among the best I've had on this trip. I wholeheartedly recommend it and look forward to returning. A sincere thank you for providing us with the best stay experience!

Beautiful new place only open 3 months. Still some minor works taking place but nothing disruptive to our stay. We were the only people there st one stage - like our own private villa! Awesome views! Great location for wandering the lanes of Unawatuna for eating drinking and shopping. Very attentive, friendly staff. Would definitely stay again. Best accommodation we had on our 10 day trip to SL!

Located on a rather quiet beach where you can both swim and surf. The staff were very friendly, the room clean, the bed very cozy and the view from the balcony really nice. At breakfast, we would have liked a little more variety.

We stayed in Shanil's place for 6 nights. We were greeted by Suranga and his team immediately after arriving we received a cool coconut drink and felt right at home. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Suranga and his team did an excellent job. Especially the food was fantastic, the chef did an excellent job. One of the best Srilanken food we had in our vacation in Sri Lanka. We had breakfast and dinner as well. The even provided our kids with western breakfast. We felt welcome from start to end and didn't want to leave. Hopefully we are back. The house with the 2 double room and the separate house with the family room is well set up and gives each guest his own privacy. The location is great with the beach and the ocean right in front of the house. With a 15min. Tuktuk ride you are both in Mirissa and Weligama. Thank you very much for having us.

Our family of 6 have just spent a wonderful week at Villa Alba. The villa was perfect, the food was amazing and the staff and setting superb. Not in the heart of the action but we were looking for something secluded, yet accessible when needed. The accomodation was even better than it appeared on the website. Special thank you to Kalana, who looked after us everyday, nothing was too difficult for him. All the staff went the extra mile, they picked up on our preferences and adjusted the menu and room service without even asking. We came away feeling very relaxed and would highly recommend a stay at Villa Alba to anyone. Thank you to all the team for making us feel so welcome.

I spent a week at Meraki and loved it! Every detail—like a flower on the toilet paper, comfy pool cushions, pristine garden, and fluffy towels—added a personal touch. As a small, family-run hotel, Meraki stands out from large chains with genuine care from the owners and staff. On my first solo trip as a woman, I felt completely safe and welcome. The hotel’s design perfectly suits my taste, and I only wished my stay was longer (special thanks to Iona for accommodating a special wish of me!). The pool area is relaxing, and the yoga sessions were very nice (also for a beginner)! With an ideal location near the sea and attractions, plus an excellent breakfast featuring fresh fruits + a la carte options, and fantastic coffee, Meraki truly impressed me. Huge thanks to the entire team! Every single team member was treating me with kindness and I really appreciate this a lot 💚 in my opinion this is the perfect place to be in Sri Lanka’s south coast!

We had such a great stay at mates villa! It’s a gorgeous space, and we loved using the pool and enclosed yard every day. As it’s newly opened, the rooms, kitchen and overall property is in pristine condition. Really good value for what we paid and would love to stay again next time we visit. Special shoutout to the hosts, they were so friendly and welcoming, and even helped us book a taxi to our next destination. Thank you!

Such a gorgeous resort and hidden gem! Our room was clean and very comfortable, with a huge bed and large open shower. We stayed in many places in Sri Lanka but this was definitely one of our tops - wish we could’ve stayed longer! Food was also really nice, and very easy check in and check out process.

Thank you for the wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was very friendly and attentive, and you could tell they worked as one team. This place became a true source of warmth and friendship for me. Every evening, they asked me what I wanted for breakfast the next day. When I got sick, they brought me plenty of tea with lemon without asking for anything in return. They organized a whale watching tour at a price lower than other excursion providers. I felt completely comfortable and safe.

Great place to stay for long time. Reasonable prices and value for money. Super clean rooms and swimming pool. Owner Lakshitha is nice and super helpful. The kitchen is eqiuped with all the items to cook by ourselfes. The breakfast from the shanthi boutique villa was more than expexted. Overall a super experience. Love to stay more on this place.

We had a wonderful stay. The place is awesome, beautiful landscape and surroundings . The bungalows are decorated with style and quality furniture. The bed is very comfortable . Beautiful complex and very quiet surroundings. Several beaches within walking distance. The yoga class every morning was very good for us. We would come back any time!

Everything is as described:) 5 min to the beach, lots of great restaurants around, good WiFi, AC, Fan, cleaning once a week, the host can help you with your requests even with a transfer from the airport, might as well comeback next time

Perfect accommodation in Hikkaduwa. This place is quiet and the views are incredible. Area around pool is now more overgrown than in the picture. Our host was very helpful.

This is in a good location, maybe about 10 minutes walk from Unawatuna Beach. The room was comfortable with A/C and was clean. The bed was large, so it took up a little more space; making the rest of the room less spacious.

We had a great stay, absolutely cannot fault it for the price! Pool is beautiful, and the reason we booked! Room was nice, and we had no issues with hot water or anything. The guy running the hotel was always helpful, even making sure we were up in the morning for our safari. Overall we would really recommend! The surrounding area can be a little loud, but this is something you’ll find anywhere around Tissa!
