Kid-friendly holiday rentals in St Austell

We had the most beautiful, peaceful and relaxing stay at The Anchorage. The location was superb, and the views from the house were my personal favorite part. I spent every spare minute in the sunroom looking at the ocean. There was plenty of space for us to all be comfortable and my children especially enjoyed the kids room with bunk beds! The town is beautiful and there are so many different beach options around to choose from. It is definitely a little stressful driving in the village (coming from from an American haha) but that aside it was a perfect end to our vacation and I plan on booking again (this time with some friends or maybe extended family to fill up the many bedrooms!)

The Gig House is small, but has everything required to have a comfortable stay. It is in an ideal position to explore the area. We walked to The Lost Gardens of Heligan on the cycle track, as well as walking along the coastal paths. Mevagissey is a quaint harbour town, and the bus service is good.

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Pebble. The property is situated in a very nice residential area which is very quiet. There is off road parking right outside the property so its very easy to load and unload. The accommodation is perfect for two people, it is very clean and well equipped. It's a short walk into town and yes the walk back is uphill but it would be very difficult to find accommodation in Mevagissey that does not involve walking up a hill. We would definitely stay at this property again.

We had a great week here as a group of eight friends. The house is in a fantastic location, very spacious, with lovely modern bathrooms and excellent towels. The welcome treat of scones, jam, and clotted cream was a really thoughtful touch – thank you! Faye and Mike are very welcoming - Communication was great and a maintenance issue was sorted quickly, which we really appreciated. A few small points: the double beds are quite small for non-couples to share, and some of the pans need replacing as they’re quite worn. Overall, a lovely stay in a great house – we'd be happy to return!

The Wagon House is a comfortable and charming 'home from home' with all you need for a short break. It was spotlessly clean and the welcome goodies were much appreciated. The setting is really peaceful but only a 10 minute drive to amenities in Bodmin and within easy reach of both north and south coast attractions. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage was beautiful with a lovely view. It was very clean and comfy. We enjoyed making use of the hot tub and the entertainment options were great to keep us happy for our couple of comfy evenings in.

Mark was super accommodating and helpful for an easy no stress stay. He graciously provided some breakfast items that helped get quickly started with our day of sightseeing in beautiful Cornwall.

My family and I have stayed at quite a few AirBnBs now around the world, and this one will always be remembered as one of the most special. It’s a beautiful and spotlessly clean apartment, with gorgeous furniture, luxurious shower room and comfortable beds, but the real beauty of spending time at Quayside is delivered by Daniel and Ross. They are such warm, welcoming and kind hosts full of helpful local knowledge… a stay here is a pleasure from start to finish! Mevagissey is a fascinating little working harbour town, and there’s so much to do in the surrounding area. We loved walking a small section of the South West coast path from Porthpean to Charlestown. Thank you Daniel and Ross… you really are wonderful people offering something very special.

Our second time staying with Siobhan, it’s a really lovely place, modern, clean, peaceful, all amenities and a great location being close to the beach and the Charlestown. Siobhan is a great host. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at Ross and Daniel’s apartment. Ross met us at check in and went the extra mile even helping us carry our things! The apartment was spotlessly clean and the attention to detail really impressed us, the hosts had clearly put in a lot of effort to make sure guests felt at home there. The apartment is right by the harbour so is near lots of local shops and restaurants which we loved! Ross and Daniel were on hand throughout our stay to help with anything, they were really friendly and gave us lots of local recommendations, we really loved our stay and already can’t wait to visit again!

We spent 2 nights at Joanne's. Perfect location, especially as parking is at a premium in Fowey. Delightful walk through the woods to Ready Money Cove and the town centre. Everything was spotless, and although small, of a very high standard. Lovely to be left the ingredients for a light breakfast

Had a lovely weekend away at Laura’s property with my sister and our husbands. The location was fantastic- peaceful and tranquil, but also a very walkable distance to The Eden Project. Being near to St. Austell means it is extremely simple to get to amenities such as shops, but also close to lots of idyllic Cornish beaches. The property is great, and we were all so grateful for the home baked scones that Laura left out for us. Delicious! Thanks again Laura & family ☺️

We had a wonderful stay, everything was as described. The beds and sofas were very comfortable! Great to have little touches like water, milk, biscuits, and the air fryer made it easy to cook simple meals. A convenient location as we were visiting both Eden Project & Heligan

Had a great short break in Polperro, the apartment was exactly as described and Chris’s communication, instructions and recommendations were exemplary. Our fitness levels have certainly improved after walking backwards and forwards from the car park. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back again someday.

It was absolutely perfect for me and my dog. Lovely view to look at while having breakfast and a great sofa with pop up leg rest to watch tv in the evening. So close to the town and really easy steps to go up and down. Bed very comfy and kitchen excellently equipped. Very good pans! Thank you for a lovely stay..wish we could have stayed longer.

A beautiful apartment with amazing views. Very close to the university which was the purpose of our visit. Our host was very friendly and was excellent at communicating with us. We would 100% stay at this property again.

Mevagissey on the south Cornish coast was a little gem. A fishing harbour with huge tides, lots of shops, bakeries, and restaurants . The flat was compact clean and had good kitchen and laundry facilities. Perfect for a couple to explore the town or further afield. The ferry to Fowey was a highlight as was walking the harbour and streets. Location was a joy and we’d have no hesitation to recommend!
