Holiday rentals with lake access in St. Joseph Island

Sherry was a wonderful host. Answered any questions I had in a timely manner. Her house is beautiful. Cozy and quiet location. Safe!!! The house is quite large and is very well organized and clean. The beds were wonderful. The lake view is fantastic and those sunrises are breath taking. There is plenty of outside seating to enjoy a fire with your friends or family. We will for sure be back.

Our stay at the cabin on the private lakefront property was nothing short of amazing! The view of the lake, especially during sunset, was absolutely breathtaking. The property had everything we needed for a perfect getaway—lots of amenities, including provided firewood and fire starters, which made evenings by the fire so enjoyable. There were plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy right on the premises, making it the ideal spot for relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful setting!

I highly recommend this amazing house right on the banks of Bright Lake. I have zero complaints and we will be returning! Nicole was very accommodating and couldn't ask for a better host. If you're looking for a peaceful and beautiful house on the lake trust me you wont be disappointed if you stay at the Rocky Retreat!

Great house, we had a wonderful time there, felt like home! Brad was great checking on us & helping us get our daughter's 10th Birthday cake. We are definitely hoping to come back next year!

It is the perfect vacation place. This place has direct lake access with scenic peaceful surroundings. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cherished each moment we spent. Barbara's place feels like home with thoughtful attention to details. Especially if you are traveling with a big group or kids, she has provided enough toys and supplies like kitchen/bath towel, coffee etc. Highly recommended Just one thing to mention, the King bed is on a lofted bedroom which does not have four wall enclosure like regular rooms. I think this is a Michigan architecture style and looking carefully at the pictures you can easily figure it out. So something to be careful about for a big group

Spent a few days snowmobiling out of this place. Was a great place to stay.

This was the perfect place for a Valentine’s Day couples retreat to do some ice fishing! Being right on the water, we were able to slide right off the ice and be at our home away from home. It had everything we needed for a fun weekend with friends and had a great time in the ice fishing tournament, one of the members of our group even got second place! We’ll be visiting again in the warmer months for more fishing!

Great place to stay in a beautiful area away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Sara (Owner) was very responsive and helpful with any questions I had. The condo was clean and was the perfect size for a group of five.

Was the perfect retreat from the city, with fresh air, a beautiful lake view waterfront access, and privacy. The neighbors were friendly and informative of restaurants firewood purchases and ideas for the stay. Highly recommend it for a getaway in the beautiful Drummond Island. Will definitely be back.

We live very close to the Cozy Condos. Our family members enjoyed their stay here during our post Christmas family celebration! Although the weather wasn’t ideal for this trip this super clean condo would be a fabulous site to choose for an extended visit to the Barbeau area where you can enjoy watching the super impressive freighters as they navigate the southbound shipping channel to their final destinations! Watch from the outdoor deck at the Cozy Corners Tavern and Grill right next door! Their food is excellent and service is top notch! Boaters can tie right up to the floating docks at the restaurant and then continue on to enjoy the beauty and awesome fishing on the St. Mary’s River!

This was the third time staying at this property. My family and I love it. It's a great place to watch the freighters and to just relax. Thank you again to Randy and Doug.

The place looked exactly like the photos and was a nice getaway if your looking for a cabin on the water. Was peaceful, enjoyable, and very very beautiful. Price is a little pricey but for what you get and the scenic views makes it worth it. Especially if you go as a group and divide up the costs. Would love to go back again sometime and would recommend this airbnb. Thanks again for hosting!

We had a great stay at the cabin. The location is gorgeous with views of the lake. The cabin has been nicely renovated and had everything we needed. Nadine was great at communicating and answering questions. Highly recommend.

Lovely stay, would book there again. Convenient to Sault Ste. Marie and yet completely private and remote.

We had a great time at the cottage on the river. It was very private and peaceful with lots of ships going by. It is close enough to walk to the parks and town area. The cottage itself is a wonderful mix of eclectic furnishings and decorations. After 10 days here I still don’t think we noticed all of the details. It was fun each day finding something interesting that we hadn’t seen yet. We would recommend Brenda’s cottage as a nice relaxing place where you can explore the eastern U.P.

I booked this charming Pet friendly log cabin on a whim to escape for a few days, and I'm so glad I did! I have never been to Thessalon before, but the description and photos of the "Spruce" cabin were just too dreamy to pass up. My husband was away on a fishing trip, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity for a solo retreat with my little Pekingese pup, Dolly. When I arrived, the host Robin greeted me so warmly and gave me a lovely tour of the resort. I instantly felt at home in the cozy cabin. The vaulted, screened-in porch is exactly where I pictured myself soaking in the fresh air, the sound of the lake, and the tranquility of nature. From the moment I stepped outside each morning, the sun greeted me as I poured my first cup of coffee. Sitting on the porch, watching the trees sway in the gentle breeze, I truly felt like I was in my own little heaven. Dolly loved exploring the grounds and snuggling up with me as I took in the beautiful surroundings. Thank you Robin 💓

This location and house are amazing. The views from the crowsnest were a bonus. This is the place to be if one is fortunate enough to stay there when northern lights would be visible (the ever-present clouds over Canada prevented us from being so lucky). Monitoring an aurora site and marine traffic app is a must. I am so thankful that the steepness of the stairs was clear so that I was able to block them (pizza boxes from Superior Pizza came in handy) so that my curious pup could not try to go up - he would have definately gotten hurt trying to do so because of his size and how his pads would slide on the painted wood. Also, because we travel with our dog we routinely bring our own sheets, blankets and pillows to use on top of those provided at rentals I have to do something with all decorative pillows - this place has plenty. The ledges in the bedroom closets are a brilliant solution to living out of a suitcase! Loved this place

Our stay was beyond perfect! It was exactly what we were looking for, quiet, peaceful and private. We enjoyed the views of the lake, and the wildlife. Having the kayaks available was an added plus. We highly recommend this location and this cottage. We will be back next year. Thank you Gary, for everything.
