Baroque apartment at the Old Town Hall 1

A very special apartment in a dream location with a view of the Bamberg City Hall, stylishly furnished with antiques. The front building was erected in 1530, and the water side followed in 1640. Originally a half-timbered house that was plastered during the Baroque period in the 17th century. The facade was restored in May 2026 with a lot of love for detail and now shines again in full splendor next to the city hall. The house was purchased by my grandparents in 1968; before that, it was a pharmacy for 200 years.

The bathroom is large and the kitchenette is separated from the sleeping area. By foot it is only about 15 minutes to the old town, you can walk relaxed along the river. When master baker Hans Lange settled here in Saalfed in 1546 with the secret Nuremberg gingerbread recipe, no one could have guessed that his business would continue for 19 generations. We, as the 20th generation, cannot bake as well as our ancestors, but we would like to welcome you instead to our former bakery shop and thus continue the family tradition in a slightly different form. Barrier-free apartment in our single-family house in rural idyll in East Thuringia near the Saale dams, the Plothener ponds on the A9 exactly between Berlin and Munich. The Saalfeld fairy grottoes, the Leuchtenburg near Kahla, Jena, Gera, Weimar are not too far away. Here you can hike (the roads are also wheelchair accessible), watch animals or simply relax on the terrace. Infants up to 2 years old and children up to 6 years old are welcome.
