Cabin holiday rentals in Stonewall Jackson Lake

This place is beautiful highly recommend I went away from my 26th birthday and I’m so glad that I picked this place such a calming getaway from 40+ hour work weeks the cabin is immaculate in the woods and extremely beautiful and relaxing. Ksenia is also really nice and super responsive and helpful. we honestly didn’t have to reach out much because she already thought of it all!

The cabin is beautiful. It is definitely not for people taller than 5'5 there is not much space between the floor and ceiling. The decorations are absolutely gorgeous. It was pretty quiet however there were a lot of other cabins/houses on the property which is not listed in the details of the ad. The hot tub didn't stay hot so we only used it once. I would definitely recommend fixing it or replacing it for future guests. Other than those two minor details Skippers cabin is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway.

I loved Shelley's cabin. It was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the bed was comfortable (including the pillows!), though we didn't use it I was impressed with the firewood being on the front porch with the ability to send payment by phone to pay for it as that is something that can always be frustrating to go and get when traveling sometimes. The hot tub was hot and relaxing although it was missing all the headrests haha. We took a tour of Trans Alleghany Lunatic Asylum on this trip but would consider coming back just to stay at this cabin for a weekend getaway! Thanks so much for everything!

We absolutely loved Greg's place!! 😍 It was nice to go off grid and have a peace without the electronic world always connected.

This cabin is truly "a little bit of heaven" from the peaceful setting to the beauty of nature in early spring. We were able to fish as desired and rest and relax when at the cabin. Kitchen was fully equipped so meals at the cabin were easy. So quiet and swing on front porch set the mood for "front porch sitting".

Had the best time with my family and loved the house & natural light in the home. Would stay again! 🤍

Beautiful house, good value for the money. In a valley next to a stream with mountains all around on each side. Hot tub was great. Main downside is the sound proofing on the inside - sound carried from the main living area into almost all the other rooms.

Victoria was awesome! She quickly responded whenever we had a question and her place was exactly as described. We would definitely go back!

The views from this house are breathtaking- it was sunny and rainy and so peaceful. I would definitely recommend booking.

This was our second year at Camp Holly. We always enjoy our stay. Kids have a blast finding crawdads in the stream directly behind the cabins and fishing in the pond.

The cabin was great for our stay. We spent most of the time hiking outdoors which the cabin is located close to many trails. You could also hike right from the cabin if you wanted to. It is close to multiple covered bridges. The cabin had everything we needed. We did bring our own drinking water. The river behind the house is very cool to look at and listen to. Aaron was great asking if we needed anything or had any questions. The Wi-Fi was amazing. Super fast and no issues at all streaming shows and movies.

It was our first time camping, and we had an amazing time. The forest was beautiful and our kids had a blast playing in the river. Vince and his friends were very outgoing and made us feel right home. Thanks for everything!

Hummingbirds visited throughout the day, adding magic to an already peaceful stay. The river was stunning and calming, perfect for morning coffee or evening reflection. The house was spotless, thoughtfully decorated with a consistent, charming theme. We loved how secluded and private the location felt, yet we were just a short drive from great restaurants, cozy coffee shops, and outdoor adventures. A perfect blend of nature and comfort—would definitely return!

We had a wonderful stay! It was quiet and peaceful and close to both tge Elk and Williams which was our daily destinations. It was also very close to Snowshoe which is fun to visit. The place was very clean and easy which made vacationing perfect for our group of 6.

It was a great weekend in the mountains of West Virginia. The cabin is perfect, clean and cozy and the surrounding outdoors are so tranquil and relaxing. Was a great weekend out of Baltimore/D.C. we can’t wait to come back. So grateful to Max for his responsiveness for any questions or help.

This place was exactly as it was described, even more beautiful than pictures can capture! There were clear instructions for everything! They go above and beyond to make this place feel like home. I wish I could have stayed longer. I don't know that I will ever be back to WV, but if I do make it back, I am definitely seeking out this cabin! Thank you for providing such a beautiful home for my family to make memories in.

We stayed in this beautiful cabin for five nights. The surroundings were so pretty and very private. We saw lots of deer, wild turkeys, and had an owl lull us to sleep for two nights. It rained for a couple of days but the front porch swing was nice and dry. We’re from Florida and the evenings were chilly to us. We had a fire in the buck stove one night and it was wonderful. They had fire starters in a bottom kitchen cabinet and they and the firewood on the porch is included in the booking fee. They also have two heaters that worked perfectly to take the chill off. We were having a large family function and did a lot of candy making for that so the stove and refrigerator being full sized were perfect for us. We met our host Michael on our last morning there. He’s a super nice guy and told us more about the area. We actually didn’t want to leave. It’s great that there is a super comfy recliner. Both ends of the couch recliner also. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful secluded cabin with all you need for a rustic getaway. Loved the seclusion and the sound of the stream out back. Quick drive to snowshoe for skiing. The road to get there was a bit more rural than we expected but the cabin was lovely.

Dennis is great at answering messages almost immediately. Clean comfortable space. We loved that there were spaces we could spend together while also having ample space to wind down separately. The cabin had all needs covered so we did not have to drag half our house with us. Perfect quiet place to reset and relax.

I absolutely loved my stay here. What a peaceful, serene, and beautiful area. The cabin was perfect - exactly as described and shown in the photos. Lisa was a responsive host, and was patient and helpful in finding my way to the resort - through the dark and snow lol. I definitely recommend this place - especially if you're looking for a quiet retreat from the usual buzz of our tech-filled daily life.

We went for snow and were not disappointed. It was so fun gliding down the hills just outside the door. You must know if you go in the winter, you need 4wd and it helps to be comfortable with winter driving conditions. lol I was so nervous as a Ga girl! Also, if you want to go up to Snowshoe, take the shuttle. That’s the only place there’s anything to do. EXCEPT the Kickin Chicken… Good food! We had a great time!

Tony's cabin is an awesome place to book. My wife and I booked this for a golf trip to play the Raven. From the house, it's exactly 10 minutes to the clubhouse, and 8 minutes of that is a gravel road. We seen 2 other vehicles on our drive in and out over 3 days. The cabin itself is very nice. Very clean and Tony offered about anything you might need. There was anything you needed in the kitchen to cook with. He's got spices, foil, extra propane, extra anything. There is wifi at the cabin and we were able to use WIFI calling. DirecTV to see the ballgame in the evening. He even provides the firewood to build a campfire at night. There is no air conditioning (common in the climate of Snowshoe) and we had no problems getting a breeze going with the windows open to keep it comfortable in June. Tony was very flexible with the check in and check out, even offering us a few extra hours if need be to be out. Only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We will be back in the fall to do it again!
