We absolutely love Michael and Cat’s place. This is our third time staying and love everything about the place. Great location close to town and hiking, charming and beautifully curated spaces (inside and out), and just an overall great place to chill/hang out. Super friendly hosts who are very responsive. We will definitely be back!

Vanessa and John's cabin in Idyllwild is an amazing getaway. The views are spectacular. Our first night it was raining which created the conditions for one of the best sunsets I have ever seen. My seven year old daughter referred to it as the house above the clouds. The place was well stocked, everything was well organized and clear. Place was spotless and town was just a short drive away. The only thing I will say is that it is right next to the road which does get some traffic, so not as isolated as it appears in the photos. But that is well worth the stay. Would definitely stay here again.

We arrived to a tranquil cabin. We enjoyed how quiet the street was and how we were able to hear the birds chirping and see the squirrels chasing each other. We rented this cabin to get away from our busy lives and we were able to relax and slow down and enjoy nature. The cabin is cozy and has everything you need to relax and cook your meals. There are books available on the main floor and in the back bedroom in the loft library. The kitchen has not only a coffee pot (we love to drink coffee) but also an espresso machine AND a coffee bean grinder. The kitchen had every item we needed to cook our meals as a family. We loved the kitchen table with the bench seating and chairs. It was a great table to enjoy completing puzzles on as a family. When we needed time to unwind, we used the jacuzzi in the back. Private area where we could relax. Beds were super soft and comfortable. We went to the cabin to unwind and relax and we were able to do both very easily.

Our stay was perfect! The place had everything we needed—plenty of towels, comfy beds, and all the essentials. The host was incredibly responsive and quick to answer any questions. Overall, a fantastic place to stay!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! If you want a cabin in the woods this is the spot. Neat, clean, and easy to access. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for some quiet wilderness. Just a few minutes from town too so easy to walk or drive down for shops and restaurants.

Gorgeous views and surroundings. Kitchen is well stocked with high quality cooking supplies/pots/pans. Using the hot tub with the beautiful view was a dream. Waking up in the middle of the forest with birds singing was lovely. The hosts were wonderful - very responsive and kind.

This is our 3rd or 4th time here- we just love this Airbnb, truly our favorite! Our doodles have such a big enclosed yard to play- with trees and lots of wildlife all around us. And the prefect view of the Tahquitz rock too! I don’t even look for other Airbnbs anymore in Idyllwild- I just message Ariya and book☺️. The home is always clean with everything we need for cooking and relaxing. I always appreciate the assorted teas from their store as well. This time, we made sure we took advantage of the hot tub after a hike and a run. The bathrobes are always appreciated and even helpful when it got a little chilly at night. Ernie Maxwell trail is just over a mile from the house and my big dog and I hiked/ran there twice- such a beautiful place to take your dog(s). Ariya and Marc are such perfect hosts- always communicating and ensuring we are enjoying our stay. I also appreciated it when Ariya messaged me that I could check in early. Thanks again Ariya! We will be back for Thanksgiving wee

Our family loved staying in the little A Frame! Lots of homey touches & natural decor that was practical and yet beautiful. The town is walkable from the home. Very peaceful location! Host is very responsive. (People with mobility issues would have a hard time with the stairs).

Great place to stay! It’s close by hiking trails and close to town. Would recommend this location to anyone visiting Idyllwild.

Staying at John and Lara’s cabin in Idyllwild felt like stepping into a movie—cinematic, well-curated touches, dreamy natural lighting, and deeply peaceful energy. Tucked away in the trees with minimal neighboring homes in sight, it offered privacy and stunning forest views and distant mountain ridges from nearly every window. Plenty of squirrel and bird friends to watch! The kitchen has a cozy, homey farmhouse feeling, while the living room has a pioneer charm with all the modern comforts. It felt like a true escape—quiet, serene, and full of soul, and yet walking distance to Idyllwild’s town center. We slept like babies and didn’t want to leave. I honestly wish I could buy this place. Would absolutely love to return one day.

Marisa and her team are very attentive to detail, conscientious, and offer a lovely getaway if you are in need of some R&R. Very convenient to the town of Idyllwild, and all the great nature attractions in the area.

Great cabin and location. We felt right at home. Really enjoyed the weekend and this place! Easy to communicate with the host as well.

We had a great stay at the Lazy Gnome. The place was very clean and well decorated and furnished. My kids loved going up to the loft but beware that the steps/ladder are quite steep, though they had no issues using them. The neighborhood is nice and quite, the house is under many trees so has plenty of shade, and it's just a short drive to the main town area. We will absolutely consider staying here again next time we come to Idyllwild.

Spending time at Mario’s place was rejuvenating, relaxing, and special. For anyone who’s wanting a place to get away from the grind of every day Life I highly recommend this place. We brought our little Yorky with us and she thoroughly enjoyed teasing the squirrels and watching the birds and so did we no we didn’t chase the squirrels lol but we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this place. This is our second visit and will definitely be coming back for more.

Jennifer was very proactive in her responses and gave me a full rundown of any and all instructions and recommendations that I could possibly need. Very friendly and helpful. My fiance and I want to come back soon!

Fantastic getaway in the mountains, next to a babbling brook, with everything you could want. Just a quick trip down to the village but far enough away that it was super quiet. I'd been dreaming of an A frame with giant windows and a patio overlooking the trees and this was exactly it. That, plus the bonus of a cozy place to watch movies and hang out inside. It was my first trip to Idyllwild and I hope to come back again to stay here.

Had an excellent city escape again up in Idyllwild. The large fenced in backyard was a major bonus and the dogs loved it! This is not my first stay in one of Melissa's idyllwild homes and im sure i will be back again! This definitely hit the spot for what i needed for my get away.

This was hands down the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. In fact, staying here in this beautiful home and amazing location, it has influenced my boyfriend and I to start our journey with owning an Airbnb! I can’t say enough good things about this place! From the squirrels to the hikes, the food!!! Love it, if you have the chance, go!! We can’t wait to visit again 🥹💕

We had an awesome weekend. The cabin was very clean and it was very peaceful. It was wonderful to find a place that had a fenced in yard for the pups to run around. We cooked most meals there and the kitchen was well equipped. Thank you for sharing!

We had a fantastic time at Paul’s lighthouse! The views were amazing from all rooms and especially the deck. The kitchen was completely stocked with literally any cookware you would need. Everything was so clean and cute.. my family and pups can’t wait to go back!

Cozy, quiet cabin about a 5 minute drive away from downtown Idyllwild. Spacious living room and great amenities. We will definitely be back!

A beautiful home with a beautiful view! Exactly what you would need for 3-6 people to stay. There are a set of stairs separating the lower master bedroom from the main living space/kitchen/2 upper bedrooms. You can hear movement and louder conversation from upstairs while downstairs. The master upstairs has a skylight- so a love (or dislike) for sleeping. Place had everything we needed. Location is ideal and a short walk to two great trailheads- one requiring a day permit (along the PCT) and the other scenic and lovely. Cell service is limited with WiFi a bit spotty with multiple phone users and a TV. Like others have said, water pressure for the showers is limited as it’s well water. Would recommend and would stay again!
