Family-friendly holiday rentals in Surf City

The beach house was clean and nicely furnished. We had ample room for seven adults. It could comfortably sleep 9 people since the day bed was large enough for an adult in the alcove area. We were disappointed that the bicycles and the kayaks at the house were locked and we could not use them. But we enjoyed the sound with the beautiful sunsets and the beach was a short walk from the house. All in all a great house and vacation!

Very nice place to stay! Would def stay again. Private and perfectly located in safe neighborhood.

Location is fantastic. Right on the beach. Wonderful view from the porch. Our family had a great stay. The condo is a little dated but for the location doesn’t matter all that much.

The house was spotless and well-maintained, which made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The host was exceptionally responsive and made sure we had everything we needed, from check-in to check-out. We appreciated the thoughtful initial items provided, which made settling in so easy. The location couldn't have been better—just a short walk to the beach and close to great restaurants, making it so convenient to enjoy everything the area has to offer. Rob's place is the perfect retreat for rest and relaxation! The view from the master bedroom's upstairs deck is wonderful. Leave the door open at night and be lulled to sleep with the calming sounds of waves. The sunrises are spectacular! The beach is not crowded and there is plenty of space for all your beach gear, tents, chairs, etc. Rob's Ocean Breeze (ocean front) townhouse is spacious with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. The place is very clean and decorated in a coastal theme. He provides all the amenities you need to enjoy your beach getaway. The private beach access is literally steps away from the back deck. It's about 50 yards from the townhouse to the ocean. The Kure Beach Fishing Pier is just a 1/2 mile walk from Rob's place. Once you've arrived at the pier, you can browse through the pier's gift shop before heading out to the town of Kure Beach where you can eat at one of the town's local restaurants. The vibe at Kure Beach is fun and festive!

Darlene was a fantastic host! She communicated quickly when I had any questions. Her house was probably one of the best stocked AirBnBs that we've stayed at. The pool was so private, I knew we had neighbors, but could not see them. The house was perfect for our family! We loved Carolina Beach!

This is best stay I’ve had at an Airbnb. Comfortable, quiet, safe for traveling alone, and hosts were just the best. Goldie the cat , who would’ve stayed out my way had I not enticed him with scritches and a few treats, was an added bonus for me. I booked a second consecutive week!

Sharon was a great host, very responsive to any questions we had and gave us some recommendations. The house was perfect for my wife and I, very clean, great outside deck and close to the river. We stayed here because it was close to our expedition to the Three Sisters. Check in and out was very easy and we were able to check in a bit early. Will stay here again the next time we are in the area.

Sarah was a very attentive host! She gave us great local recommendations and was always responsive. They even replaced the record player so my teens could listen to them. Would highly recommend staying here!

Donovan’s Reef was the perfect house for our yearly mother daughter trip. We enjoyed how close to the beach we were and the beach access points, loved the outside shower to rinse off before going inside, kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were super comfy! Check in and out was easy and Holly was super prompt with responding!

To stay at the Cabin at Rabbit Run is a wonderfully rustic and peaceful experience. My partner and I settled in easily with her detailed instructions, and were able to enjoy our short visit in Wilmington. I highly suggest visiting this location!

Great place to stay just a few steps to the beach. Place was clean and had several supplies for us to use in the kitchen and bathrooms.

We come to wrightsville beach several times per year and we will be back to this home. It had a great layout got a large family. We came with our 2 sons and our 4 grand children and never felt cramped. It's a home we will frequent while in wrightsville.

Our stay was great. Great location and views. The host checked in often and was informative. We will be back one day!

David and Kris were terrific hosts! They went out of their way to keep us informed of fun events happening around the island, which we greatly appreciated as it was our first time to BHI. The unit is just as pictured and beautifully renovated. Kitchen is expertly organized and has full array of cookware. The location is central on the island, making it a quick ride to the market, beach, club, etc. The surrounding live oaks and foliage are beautiful. I would definitely recommend! We will be back.

My wife and I wanted to try somewhere different since we normally go to the beach in Atlantic Beach. We decided to try Topsail. What a great decision. Missy's place was fantastic!! We found it to be exactly as advertised. It was very clean and comfortable. Conveniently located to local restaurants and activities. It was a very short walk to the pool and beach. And the VIEWS WERE SPECTACULAR!! Missy was a great host. She was very responsive and friendly. We would highly recommend it and will for sure be back ourselves. The only negative from our stay was having to leave!!

We (myself and 7 family members) stayed at Matthew’s for a wedding. The place slept the 8 of us comfortably and was gorgeous. We had a fantastic time and will be in contact again in the future!

5 Star stay for long weekend. Pictures display a truly classy comfy townhouse that smells lovely and has everything you need. Bedrooms are spacious and linens are very comfortable. Perfect home with perfect location to beaches, restaurants, and shopping. Easy and clear instructions for check in and check out. Thank you John and Katie for our enjoyable experience. For being a last minute trip to Wrightsville beach, Matthew made it easy with his excellent communication and instructions. The place is centrally located, an easy walk to coffee, restaurants and bars. The views of the beach/ocean are perfect and the condo was very clean. If you are looking for a place to stay in Wrightsville I'd recommed staying at Matthew's place.

We loved this place so much last year, we came back again this year! Updates were made with the sofa and some of the bedroom furniture. Walking in just felt like home away from home. It was so clean when we got there, even my 5 year old noticed that the sofa smelled like it had just been deep cleaned. The beds are soft and comfy, perfect for resting after a long day in the sunshine. You are close enough to the boardwalk but far enough away that you cannot hear the noise all night. I love Thursday night fireworks on the beach during the summer months. Stefan and Katie’s place is exactly as pictured and described. They have communicated with us during both stays quickly and efficiently. We love this place! We will definitely be back if you’ll have us again!
