Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Tanzania

Edwin the site manager was the best person we met since arriving to Zanzibar. A true gentleman and extremely genuine which can be hard at times to find when traveling. He felt like a friend and was the best host we have had through Airbnb. Would book again!

We had a fantastic stay and felt right at home. The beds were super comfortable and the projector a big highlight for the kids. The staff was super friendly, and the host too. I highly recommend this place and hope it will be available next time I return to Arusha!

Very nice house right at the beach in Kiwengwa. Very well equipped and clean. Teresa was so kind and helpful. The road that leads to the airbnb is a little bumpy. We really enjoyed our stay, the only negative point was the wifi. I‘m not sure if this was just in our case but it‘s very poor and sometimes not working at all. This is something that could be improved!

Simone was a lovely host! Responded super quickly. Saïd picked us up from the airport and was always ready. Mtumwa poetse wonderful! Sparkling clean. Beds were wonderfully changed every 4 days. If electricity and water failures, there was a generator. Nice! Beach in front of the door not really clean, but a short walk and you have a nice beach. In the house an info folder with all kinds of tips for trips. You can ask the helpful Saïd as a driver, or someone else. Children from the neighborhood play in front of the door on the beach. We enjoyed it! Put your chair on the beach at 5.30 pm and look at the fishing boats that come back with their catch. The house has a lovely veranda with dining table and chairs, where you can have breakfast etc. We had a lovely stay of 4 weeks and thank Simone for the good communication! Tip: bring aea for the children. They are really poor.

Judith was very responsive, helpful and accommodating. Her assistant, Neema, was gracious and available for any request we had. The house is beautiful and the grounds are even more incredible with the covered porch and pool area, large yard with the sounds of a nearby river. The kitchen is well stocked. The master bedroom has a nice deck. It is a little ways out of Arusha but is gated and very quiet and private. The photos are great but don't do justice for how nice this place really is when you are walking around the grounds.

Our group really enjoyed the stay! The home was beautifully nested in nature, yet quite close to Stone Town for exploration. The staff were extremely attentive, helpful, and kind. Would recommend for future travelers!

I had a verry nice stay at Arsheen's. The location is perfect in the hearth of Stone Town. She was verry helpful and so was Mushtaq.

We had a wonderful stay at Maria’s place in Dar Es Salaam! The apartment was cozy, clean, and had a very homey feel. It was easy to find, and both the check-in and check-out processes were seamless. Maria was an exceptional host—always responsive and regularly checked in to ensure everything was to our liking. She even surprised us with a complimentary breakfast package, which was a lovely touch. Having a caretaker on standby for any additional needs was also incredibly convenient. Highly recommend staying here if you're looking for comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality

Stephanie is a fantastic human being, she made my family and me feel super comfortable and welcome. Although we are locals, we enjoyed the treatment like we weren't, and it was great! The place is clean, properly managed, and secure. Her caretaker was also courteous and understanding and quick to fix any small issue that came up. Kudos to her!

I loved staying here for the weekend - super close to great restaurants, walkable to supermarkets, and a beautiful view out over the ocean. The gym is great and well equipped and the apartment itself was lovely - had everything I needed and a really comfortable, well setup space

This was an amazing stay! I loved how peaceful and calm it was, there was a beautiful patio all the amenities inside were nice and they had a wash washing machine which I found to be great! I can't recommend this place enough, especially since it is centrally located.

This is a very nice Airbnb with thoughtful interior design and well-curated amenities. The host clearly took time to ensure everything a guest might need was provided, which I appreciated. One of my favorite features was the fresh breeze that comes in through the balcony, making the space feel open and relaxing. The location is also central to everything—I visited Masaki often, and it was just a quick 15-minute ride by motorbike taxi. The highlight for me was the bathroom—it was modern, clean, and fully equipped with everything I needed during my stay. That said, there were a few challenges. As someone who works remotely full-time, the frequent power outages made it difficult to work consistently. Unfortunately, the electricity would cut off almost every evening—right during my working hours due to the 7-hour time difference with the U.S. Overall, I enjoyed the space and hospitality, but I would recommend it more for vacation stays rather than remote work setups.

I had a very good stay. The location was great — convenient and close to everything I needed. The amenities were exactly as described and made the stay really comfortable. The host was always available and responsive whenever I had a question or needed anything, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was a smooth and pleasant experience. I’d definitely recommend this place to others!

Fumba Town is a very nice place to stay: close to the beach and not far from Stone Town and the airport. The apartment is very neat and with tasteful furniture and good facilities like a washing machine and vacuum cleaner. An umbrella came in handy too :-) because it was the rainy season. Kwetu kwenu beach club is nearby and chill with amazing sunset views. Highly recommended, the apartment and the town.

I can't say enough great things about this place, and if we're ever lucky enough to return to Paje we will absolutely stay here again! The place is an apartment in what is really more like a gated community but it's also super close to everything so it's the best of the both worlds - We loved having the pool, communal working space, cafe, parking for our rented scooter, and laundry available and felt super safe because of the security. It was also really nice having a real space to make our own for the week, with a living room + tv, kitchen, and extra bedroom. The beach is a short walk away and there are tons of restaurants on the main the street that are actually better and cheaper then the beach restaurants. If you're only in Paje for a night or two and want to stay steps away from the beach or be right in the middle of the party scene, this might not be the place for you, but we saw a friends room at one of the beach clubs/hotels and were so happy we were staying here instead :)

Great place! Felt like home and safe location!

The staff was the best part of the stay. They were amazing, especially Dan. The property is next to the beach and in the middle of a village. Seeing the African culture and way of living mixed with paradisiac views…was riveting. Several descent restaurants in the area as well. Will definitely book again.

The host Janine and Ramia were very responsive, helpful and very friendly! The location is ideal for easy local and private transportation, Stone town and the Darajani souk were 15 min by local tuktuk, supermarket and vegetable stands within walking distance and the place is a well maintained, housekeeper was provided twice weekly. We enjoyed the patio in the evening, and the neighborhood was safe and friendly. We waked to a local beach to see the sunset a few times, it was less than a mile away at Medinat Al Bahar. The hosts had great suggestions for activities and we liked the convenience of being able to prepare meals at home over our 3 week stay! I would recommend this place highly as it was outstanding and the hosts were amazing! I would definitely stay here again!
