Lovely peaceful comfortable place to stay with the bonus of a wood fire and a sauna to enjoy. Has great views with a private rocky cove directly at the bottom of the garden and an easy coastal walk to the beautiful redbill beach and diamond island point. All in all really hard leave.

Somewhere Else Accommodation

PeteRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Karen was very hospitable and made an effort to set up the fireplace before we come back during the sunsets. She's also very friendly and welcoming. I could feel that she's very proud of her place, I believe that's what keeps her enthusiasm going in keeping the place nice for guests each time. Really blessed and lucky to be able to stay in Karen's place. We'll definitely be back the next time we visit Sheffield.

Buttons Cottage rural romance under stars

Su-LinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The pictures and description don’t do this place justice! This place was simply perfect. An idyllic haven, the freshest air, skies full of stars, and the most clean, cozy and toasty cottage you could ever imagine. Alison was the most wonderful host - she went out of her way to make sure we had everything we wanted and needed, and she brought us to meet and feed all her lovely pet sheep, cows and dog. We had an amazing time here, thank you Alison!

Secluded beach front retreat with a heated pool

JulieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Perfection. Attention to detail- even in the kitchen…we had all the dishes and utensils necessary to cook like a chef at the house! There are even pantry items there- so check on that before running to the grocery store in town because we bought doubles in some things. I’m sure the selections in the pantry will vary. In addition, there may be garden produce ready for the picking!! Make sure and check with the host first- that will be seasonal, I’m sure. Beds are comfortable, showers have hot water, tub with jets is helpful after a day of sight-seeing. As owner notes, it isn’t hot, just warm…but it was still a good experience. Decks overlook bay/ocean- you get to witness the changing colors of the Hazards throughout the day standing over the bay. And if you are wondering- we saw amazing Aurora lights out over the water! Windows everywhere! Just incredible’views- there are no words. And you boy minutes from Swansea. Host has a book with restaurant suggestions. Grocery.❤️

Trinity! Beach, Rural, Near Hobart

SarahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
As a visitor from Canada, I felt right at home at this beautiful property that offered the perfect blend of comfort, nature, and genuine Aussie hospitality. The lifestyle here felt familiar, yet uniquely special. Waking up to morning visits from wallabies right outside our window was such a magical touch — a true Australian experience! We also enjoyed watching the birds and friendly farm animals, which made each day feel peaceful and connected to nature. The cabin was warm and cozy, especially during the winter season, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. It really had that homey feel, which meant so much to me and my child during a challenging time for our family. Location-wise, everything was close and convenient. We had easy access to the beach and a lovely playground, which made for perfect morning and afternoon walks. It’s a great spot for families, and I felt very safe and relaxed the entire time. Most importantly, the host went above and beyond — kind, accommodat

Post House Cottage - 10 Minutes to Mount Field

FredRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A quaint farmhouse style cottage very comfortable and stocked with everything you need, Linda even provided games and toys for children. Very peaceful and homely and is highly recommended for a short or long stay. Our only regret was that our stay was too short.

Riverstone Lodge

RichardRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Lovely stay at Shane and Monika's place. we quickly warmed up out of the winter Tassie cold by the log fire, which was set up ready for us to light on arrival. In the morning we were gifted some food for the sheep and alpaca, and we're followed around by Munchkin the sheep for the rest of our stay. Monika was very kind and welcoming, even gifting us wine, bread, coffee and fruit. Couldn't have found a more peaceful and relaxing place to stay - thank you!

The Oyster Shack

GeoffRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Quiet spot with amazing expansive windows overlooking a serene forest and the water. Generous space, comfy queen bed, kitchen with everything you need (note no dishwasher and only a small fridge), plenty of couches, rustic wood paneling (note the host built the place himself with local timber!), great sound system with quality speakers. Very private space (though note you are on the same property as the owners house), there are orchards and greenhouses to stroll, a well formed track about 100m takes you down to the water and private jetty where you can borrow a kayak or forage for oysters or just enjoy the serenity. A walking path a couple of KMS long has been cut into the nearby forest - divine for a morning walk. Note there are no shops particularly close so pack whatever you need for the whole stay and settle in!! Note that it was quite cold while we were there and the log heater struggled to keep the place really warm, just warm enough (high roof didn't help)

Hobart Hideaway Pods - The Pea Pod

AliraRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a lovely stay at the pea pod. Checkin was super easy and we were warmly greeted by Bryan. The heating worked a treat for complete comfortability. The view from the bod was breathtaking. We saw many beautiful wildlife upon arrival and during our stay. I would recommend an afternoon walk just before sunset, many beautiful creatures/beautiful scenery to see. The pod is very conveniently close Hobart, so made it easy to explore Tas. On my next trip I hope to return. Thank you very much both of you. Take care! :)

‘The Crib’ at WhisperingWoods

SophieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved our stay at Klara’s hut on her property and surrounding farm. It has all the home comforts you need for a cosy getaway and is well located to get to Cradle Mountain national park and other great spots in the north of Tasmania. The welcome package she provided was incredibly tasty (and generous!). Ending the day with a fire and a glass of wine and beautiful surroundings was exactly what we were after! Highly recommend booking this spot.

Farmhouse - Family (8)

OngRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A great lodging for the young children to experience farm stay and Angela was so kind to prepare some bread, jam and eggs from her farm. Although there were some minor hiccups, Angela tried her best to assist us by fixing these issues. She was also very kind to walk us around her beautiful farm and my boys simply loved her farm animals so much🥰 thank you, Angela!

Luxury river cottage, gateway to the East Coast

JennyRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Jen’s cottage is an absolute Tassie gem. The cottage, situated on a beautiful river with rural views & with sheep in the back paddock, this gorgeous country retreat is very clean, has a fully equipped kitchen & laundry, & has very comfortable, warm beds with lovely linen. The cottage has been thoughtfully designed and styled with quality, comfort & creativity in mind. It was lovely & cosy to sit on the leather lounge in front of the wood fire & enjoy a glass of wine when the evening mist rolled in. There is also the ease & convenience of the heat pump if required. It was such a delight & joy to stay there, Jen has thought of everything to make this such an amazing place to stay & it’s one of our all time favourites, thank you Jen!

Stoney Creek Farm Stay

MatildaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We absolutely adored our weekend away at Prince and Ali’s place. They were fantastic hosts, they left us food to give to the goats, were super helpful with setting up the fire and were super proactive in making sure we knew we could contact them with any issues at all. The Airbnb itself was beautiful! The bed is super comfortable, the lounge was cozy and the selection of board games was great and the little kitchen was perfect for cooking. The shower with a view of the beautiful landscape was a bonus as well. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet weekend away and will definitely be staying here again in the future (hopefully to see the platypus next time).

Relax and unwind at Three Paddocks and a Hill

BiancaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Three Paddocks and a Hill was as serene and peaceful as the photos suggested. We arrived in the dark with our two small children and were welcomed by a beautiful warm fire in a cosy home, which was so appreciated. The property had everything we needed and there was plenty to do in the home stay to just ‘be’ away from our busy lives. We loved the goats, and Emma and Leon were very responsive when one cheeky goat got their head stuck in the fence, causing our daughters to be quite concerned. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
