From here there is a good connection to the bus, hiking and cycling trail network in Detmold and the surrounding area. The forest begins right behind the house, you can start hiking straight away.

NEU: Direkt neben „Mono" steht ein weiteres Haus, „Nest im Wald“. Kann man auch besuchen. Oder beide… „Mono“ ist ein vor Jahrzehnten ausgebauter Trailer. Im Zuge einer Komplettsanierung bekam es 2020 rundum ein Timber-Frame-Skelett (neues Dach, neue Dämmung etc.) und damit eine erste Etage. Größe: 3,20 mal 13 Meter. Es heißt "Mono", da sein Außen, so wie auch jeder Raum innen, von hauptsächlich einer Farbe bestimmt wird.

Had a nice few days with friends. Communication with Thomas very good. The cottage is incredibly clean, modern and tastefully decorated. New beautiful bathroom with lovely shower. Good beds. Everything you need is present. We only missed garden chairs. There is a kind of narrow picnic bench available. There is little to do in the village itself, but a 20-minute walk to a very good and cozy Croatian bistro where you can eat really tasty and affordable. Nature beautiful for hiking and biking. Tip.... Bring your own bikes, because there is almost no possibility to rent bicycles nearby. Close to other nice places/ places such as Externsteine, Hermannsdenckmantel, Detmold and Paderborn. All in all, I would definitely recommend this stay!

Absolutely cozy and well-equipped vacation home. We didn't miss anything. We felt very welcome thanks to the small attentions of the hosts. The contact with Kathrin and Thomas was always friendly and questions were answered quickly. The beautiful surroundings are great for hiking. Either directly from the accommodation or just a few minutes' drive away. Our dog was able to cool off in streams and in the Weser. So all the fellow travelers were satisfied. In the garden you can shower yourself or the dog. Super practical. We particularly enjoyed the Patensteig hike. Well signposted and varied.

irene makes you feel really welcome. She keeps appropriate distance but is around if you need her. The apartment is nicely decorated and reality is thought of everything. It's incredibly clean. Definitely recommended.

Fantastic apartment!!! Very clean, everything new and well maintained. Even on hot summer days, pleasantly tempered. For relaxing, the private terrace with a small relaxed rippling waterfall is ideal. From the house you can walk to the Externsteinen and use all the hiking trails in the magical forest all around. The network of bike paths is also well signposted, e.g. it is only 5 km to the blooming lavender fields and 10 km to interesting Detmold. Michael has plenty of current brochures and information ready. An attentive host! Anytime again!

Beautiful apartment, exactly as described. Stylish and nicely furnished. Spotless. Well equipped, so you don't have to procure unnecessary utensils even for a short stay. Nice terrace. The apartment is in a pleasant residential area, yet you can walk to the center in five minutes. Good restaurants nearby. The area also has a lot to offer. Nice and friendly contact with the landlords. We were kindly allowed to check out a little later than planned. We highly recommend it.
