Holiday rentals with a washing machine and dryer in Thurso

we loved every second of our stay and could’ve definitely stayed for longer. a true gem and amazing value for money. the photos don’t do it justice! the area is stunning and ideal if you are looking to spend some time outdoors surrounded by beautiful landscapes and beaches.

Even better in person, this is a delightful apartment w/views from every room, full of natural light, well equipped and super spacious. The apartment was spotless on arrival. Each bedroom has a vanity table w/mirror, nightstands, a big closet and comfortable beds with good privacy from each other and good noise separation from the living area. Lots of counter space and modern kitchen appliances made it comfortable to cook. We took advantage of the w/d in the separate laundry room. Large foyer with space for coats, shoes and bags. Such a peaceful, quiet location, yet steps away from Brora GC clubhouse (50% off 2nd round & nice place to eat), steps from village shops and the train station, a ½ hour walk to Clynelish Distillery, and a short walk to the beach and the coastal walk to Golspie. Easy parking, well maintained building. Catherine was a pleasure to deal with. She provided detailed instructions and was quick to respond to questions. We loved it and would gladly return.

Had stayed there for 1 night, Stevie was very helpful in explaining the property location and check in was very smooth. It looked exactly as shown in the pictures. Free Parking is available within 2 mins walk. Great host and good property if you are looking for a stopover while covering the North coast 500. Tesco, Lidl and few restaurants are nearby the location. 15 mins drive to the Lands End - John Groaths.

Stayed one night to break up a journey along NC500. Lovely accommodation in a spot close to harbour. Our daughter loved the spacious upstairs bedroom area

We enjoyed our stay, up from Edinburgh for the golf and the apartment is walkable for a hassle free stay. The Indian underneath was decent (there were zero disruptions or issues being above the restaurant - incase you have any concerns about that) and the cafe across the road was lovely for breakfast or lunch. The parking was great too and because of the location our car never moved 👍🏼

The only thing I can say is: A Home Away From Home. Alan is a great host and immediately responsive. The village of Tongue and Kildinguie can't be beat.

Das Haus von Lorna war absolut klasse und das beste AirBnB in dem wir waren. Wir haben uns total wohlgefühlt und konnten dort ein paar wirklich erholsame Tage verbringen. Lorna hat bis ins letzte Detail an alles gedacht, was man als Gast brauchen könnte und das Haus entsprechend vorbereitet. Es war perfekt sauber, super eingerichtet sowie sehr gemütlich. Wir waren leider nur ein paar Tage dort, würden aber jedem empfehlen länger zu bleiben. Auch war die Kommunikation mit Lorna exzellent und wir möchten uns für Ihre unterstützende und liebevolle Art an dieser Stelle erneut bedanken. Danke!

Perfect place to stay for a group of six golfers, playing at courses locally. Easy to locate and access, comfortable accommodation and conveniently located. Would book again if we repeated the visit.

This was a lovely house and a good base for exploring Caithness. The house was well equipped, the beds were very comfortable and the showers were hot. The house was lovely and warm to combat the chilly weather outside! Our hosts were friendly and check in / check out was simple. There was plenty of room for the 10 people in our party. Our children particularly enjoyed the sand dunes at Dunnet Bay and rock pooling at Ham Harbour - even in the rain. There was a nice walk from nearby Lybster Harbour along the cliff tops.

Catherine's place Is in Thrumpster a very quiet village just off the A99. There isn't much to do in Thrumpster but it is a really good stopping off point for exploring the area around Wick and John O'Groats. Greenfields Cottage is very comfortable and well equipped and we enjoyed staying there.

The Old Coast Guard station is a fantastic place to stay and as a base for the NC500. The house is recently renovated to a high standard, is very clean/fresh and has the most beautiful views of the bay and harbour. We traveled with our pup as it is very dog friendly with an enclosed garden and lots of places and beaches to walk nearby. Helmsdale is a nice village with local shops, pub and restaurants only an hour from John o Groats and minutes to lovely beaches. Undoubtedly one of the best holiday homes we have stayed - the views from the balcony are amazing.

Nous sommes ravies des deux nuits passées. L'appartement est facile à trouver et bien placé pour visiter cette partie des Highlands. Il donne sur le port (très calme) et nous avons apprécié la vue sur les bateaux. Zac a été d'une grande aide. Il nous a très gentiment proposé de préparer le canapé lit pour nous, ce qui nous a évité de le faire en arrivant tard. Il nous a aussi conseillé sur les bons restaurants à proximité.

Lisa kept in touch throughout our stay and really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. We only stayed a couple of nights but it would be an ideal location for a longer stay too. The massive kitchen and dining area was the soul of our stay. We sat there and chatted around the massive table. The bedrooms were immaculate and the multitude of WCs meant no one was left dancing in the hall waiting for one to be free. The location is ideal too. It doesn’t get any more central. We really needed somewhere to base ourselves for our stay, somewhere we could retreat to and not feel like we were falling over each other and that’s exactly what we got. It’s a gem.

Marie was a great host. She treated us like a friend. She’s passionate about hosting and has a wealth of knowledge of the local area. I do plan another nc 500 adventure and will be booking again. Thanks Marie till our paths cross again..
