Freda and Philip were fantastic hosts. They were incredibly helpful from the initial run-up to our stay, messaging about how best they could help us, to checking in and providing us with local recommendations. The Shiel itself was absolutely stunning, both inside and out. It had everything we needed, was so clean and had a lovely outdoor area. It was a perfect stay for our family (incl a baby and a dog) would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Very comfortable small apartment, good location, clean and perfectly equipped, where we spent one night before our return to Edinburgh. Thanks to Sarah and her husband for their hospitality.

Had such a lovely stay at The Pumphouse. The property was so easy to find with the directions Annette provided.The property is well laid out inside and has everything you could possibly need for your stay.The surroundings are so beautiful and very peaceful.We had such a nice time just relaxing, reading and listening to the nature all around.We were lucky to see lots of wildlife around the surrounding wood.Slept so well both nights.The bed was comfortable and loved how quirky it was going up a ladder every night to bed.We didn't want our stay to end and can't wait to come back.Thanks so much Annette and Martin.See you soon!

The accommodation was exactly as advertised. I couldn’t get over how quiet it was and how easy it was to get to shops, pubs and restaurants. There was actually a bit of space inside the room (helpful for repacking suitcases) and the mattress was very comfortable. Would stay again.
