Holiday rentals with a patio in Tucker County

Perfect location- comfortable vibe. Lovely decor. Alison was superb. The bed was comfortable. We loved walking to all the things. Our car didn’t move! However, with the convenience of being in town and able to walk anywhere comes noise. Typically I wouldn’t turn a TV on, so not having one wouldn’t be an issue, however I would have loved to have one to drown out the neighbors conversations. Literally, someone sneezed in another unit (or upstairs) and I said, bless you. They responded saying, “thanks.” 2 things would have made our stay perfect, a white noise machine, tv or Bluetooth speaker to drown out the noise and provide some semblance of privacy and a full-length mirror in the bedroom. Overall, I would recommend this place and will likely stay again. The convenience of being right in town coupled with the river and fire pits right outside was awesome. Next time, I will pack earplugs and a speaker!

Staying here was an absolutely peaceful and relaxing experience. From the minute we arrived we felt more than at home, it was perfectly clean and felt very cozy. The extra touches of complimentary cinnamon swirl bread, popcorn and much more made for a very relaxing experience. It was great to spend some much needed time away hiking in some of the local parks. what a lovely place to stay. Cheaper than the local hotel and much nicer. Carolyn is a great host! The apartment is equipped very nicely, very comfortable furnishings. We will stay here again for sure.

Great place. Everything you need in a killer location. Kimberly was great. We had a few questions and she got right back to us with the info we needed.

My family came to town for the Moonlight on the Falls half marathon in Blackwater Falls State Park. Mary’s place was the perfect homebase for us. Located right on Main Street we were able to walk to dinner as well as shows at the Purple Fiddle. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch in the mornings and relaxing on the large back porch in the evenings. The home has a large kitchen and living room. Mary went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay. I highly recommend this home. We will definitely book again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Bear’s Lair! My dad traveled with us and he is in his 80s and doesn’t get around very well so the one-floor set up was very convenient for him to navigate. We were nice and close to the downtown Thomas area. The space was very clean and very modern. We felt right at home! The beds were very comfortable and the sheets and towels were crisp and clean. Would definitely recommend staying here. We have already put it on our list for our next visit!

We really loved our stay in this beautiful house with the natural surroundings. It was really nice to have lots of windows and doors to enjoy the natural lighting and the breeze through the trees. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathrooms were nicely done and had good counter space and storage for our stay. I loved having the closet and dresser in the primary bedroom, which allowed me to put away my clothes. The furniture and lighting was tasteful and added to our stay. The fireplace and sauna were nice accessories. The EV charger was wonderful for us to have and really made our stay much more convenient. We would 1000% stay here again!

The home has lots of character and charming details. We enjoyed our time and loved cooking together. The living space is open, inviting, and relaxing. It was a great family atmosphere. The tree swing and fire pit were fun. The shower being on the first floor separate from the bedrooms upstairs was unexpected but didn't cause any problems for our group. Also, whoever sleeps in the tree house room should know they'll need to descend a ladder to use the bathroom. This house is super great and the mountains surrounding are breathtaking. We would definately stay again.

Great and relaxing place for a get together. The kitchen was well supplied and the rooms were all very comfortable. Pool table was a little wonky but we had fun anyway 😅

Excellent accommodations. We were 5 adults, 2 toddlers, an infant and two dogs and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kids enjoyed the spacious first floor for their magna-tile and lego projects and the adults were happy at the large dining table. The outdoors were quiet, spacious and plenty of opportunities for the kids to run around. We used this location as a central point for the high peaks hike in MD and WV, an excellent location. Also visited Blackwater Falls and Seneca Rocks - amazing natural wonders. Would definitely rent again if in the area.

Nice house in a great location. Close to downtown Davis and activities at Canaan resort. Kid friendly space upstairs. The kitchen has the necessities for cooking and is open to the living room. The host is responsive and was easy to communicate with.

Absolutely loved our stay at Vince’s property! From the start, communication was smooth and timely—Vince was a fantastic host. Everything was exactly as expected, and the home truly felt like a cozy, peaceful escape. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the bonus entertainment of watching deer roam freely across the hills all day was pure magic. Vince really thought of everything—it was well-stocked, comfortable, and felt like a true home away from home. Just the reset we needed. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Our group loved this home! It was conveniently located close to the lodge, however I do not recommend the walk in ski boots. The mudroom was perfect for getting ready and drying out clothes. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of counter space. We would definitely stay here again.

This would be my second time staying at Rachel’s Airbnb in Elkins, WV and it was perfect! We had my daughter’s wedding for this stay and I rented both of her units in the same building to accommodate family. It was the perfect situation for us. The units are cute, colorful, nicely decorated, well equipped, clean, peaceful, convenient location, free parking, WiFi, some streaming services for TV, laundry in unit, spacious and quiet. Rachel is easy to work with and friendly. We will most likely stay again next time we are in West Virginia visiting family. Thank you Rachel! 😊

This place was perfect for a quick getaway with my boyfriend. Self Check-In was very convenient and the place looked just like the pictures. It was very clean and nicer than a hotel, but not too much house for just the 2 of us. Everything from the bathroom, to the kitchen, to the bedroom was organized and home-y. Things like towels, sheets, blankets, hand soap, and utensils/dishes were provided and clean as well. The only thing I would warn about is the amount of lady bugs I saw inside the house. There is a large window in the bedroom with a beautiful view and a nice black-out shade, but I fear it seems to be an entrance for lady bugs. However, I did not see any other bugs in the home during my 4 night stay and would not call this place dirty at all. I would recommended this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay, close enough to visit state parks like Blackwater Falls or the small local towns nearby which had restaurants, a grocery store, and pubs!

The condo was very easy to find. Check in process was simple. The unit felt more private because it was on the end and we saw deer out of our windows in the morning. It was close to the town of Davis and to many lovely hikes. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillows, blankets, and towels. Shower was hot with good water pressure. Everything was clean and comfortable. I would stay again if I was in the area.

Wonderful time visiting the Davis area and staying in this condo. Everything was provided to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our host was easy to communicate with and available when needed. Hope to visit again soon.
