Unwind on the deck & watch for whales while enjoying great views of Puget Sound & mountains.Guests love our oasis that is still close to all Alki & Seattle has to offer Studio is ground level suite with own separate entrance, which is on opposite side of owners entrance. Located in a hillside area, but manageable. Free street parking on back & side of the house. No cooktop in studio due to insurance. Just imagine if you could wake up and see the ocean and hear the seagulls in the morning? Or, possibly sight an orca or some resting seals? Our studio offers you a true beach oasis getaway , minutes walk to Seattle’s infamous Alki Beach. FEATURES: This is a 450 square foot studio suite in the lower half (above ground basement suite) of our home. We live upstairs, but the studio suite has its own separate entrance on the opposite side of our entrance-- enables true privacy. You get exclusive use of the front patio overlooking the ocean as seen in the display picture. Morning views of the mountains and beach are always guaranteed, along with majestic evening sunsets. Brand new queen sized bed promises a comfortable night's sleep. Full private bathroom with a standing shower (no tub) with all your natural shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We do NOT HAVE A FULL KITCHEN/stove cooktop. Please see below what we do have in our kitchenette and space. Many of our guests don’t find this to be an issue as they’re always out and about sightseeing or dining nearby. INCLUDED: Microwave, mini fridge with small freezer, coffee maker, water kettle, toaster, flat screen TV with ROKU system for access to Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, & plenty of other channels. Suitcase rack, 2 freestanding fans, towels, sheets, duvet blanket, pillows, full sized dresser, space heater. Plates, bowls, glasses, wine glasses, wine & beer opener, eating utensils, coffee, teas, sugar, salt and pepper. Natural shampoo, conditioner, lotion, 2 umbrellas, iron, ironing board, steamer, hairdryer, emergency kit, fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide detector. Diffuser with essential oil for your use and a welcome basket with some travel essentials. Also available is our welcome binder with taxi contacts, local restaurants and business', emergency contacts, bus routes and schedules, ferry schedule, and other pertinent details to help facilitate a comfortable stay. THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Summer time on Alki Beach is the best! The pirates come to Alki during Seafair weekend, the Art Walk happens on the occasional Thursday , bonfire pits are free to use and salsa dancing are some of the fun events that occur on Alki. Oh, and Taichi every Saturday morning from 9-10am. Winter brings about calm and relaxing walks along the beach. Many coffee spots for your warm cup of joe including Starbucks, Top Pot Donuts and Tully's. ALKI BEACH : 400 feet away (Literally 1 minute walk to the beach) WATER TAXI: 1.5 miles (scenic walk along the beach) BUS & SHUTTLE STOP: 100 feet away from studio RENTALS: Sport rentals such as kayaking, biking, and scuba diving are also available at the water taxi station. Kayak and Bike rentals are available on the Beach during the Summer months. Highly recommend renting the tandem double Surrey bikes and take it along Alki Beach. Less than 10 minutes to reach downtown Seattle (sans traffic) and only 25 minutes from the SEATAC Airport. Key-less entry. No hassle of losing keys as no keys are required :) Code to keypad will be sent via email a few days prior to arrival. We respect your privacy and know that this is your vacation. We also love meeting new people, so you just let us know if you'd like to be greeted in person and we'll swing on by! Otherwise, we are always available by phone, text, or email. All restaurants on Alki Beach are a short walk away, as are local shops, and there's a water taxi just a little further off. Alki Beach is a beautiful public sandy beachfront and location to numerous celebrations in the Summer months, including the Seafair Pirate landing party. All Summer long, you'll see bonfires, beach volleyball & kayakers. Head to the hip urban village at West Seattle Junction to enjoy many small shops, restaurants, and bars giving West Seattle an eclectic & community vibe. The free #773 or #775 shuttle is just steps away from our house and this will take you directly to the water taxi station (water taxi station is 1.5 miles walk otherwise). The Water taxi is 10 minutes ride to downtown and cost is about $5 per person, each way. Shuttle and water taxi run on limited schedules during the Weekends & Winter, sometimes not even in service so please inquire and check their website before booking if that's important planning of your trip. You can also rent these new but reliable city bikes that are left around. Just download the app (SPIN or LIME Bikes) and find out where the nearest available bike is, then leave it in any spot once done. Rate is about $1 per 30 minutes.- very economical and practical way to explore and get around our beach neighborhood :) Uber, Lyft, Car2Go are also viable options. ReachNow is also available with SmartCars, BMWs, Mercedes-Benzs and Mini Coopers. ReachNow is a one and two-way rental car solution that can be parked and left at our house. Approximate cost is $0.41 a minute. Traffic can get pretty heavy on the West Seattle Bridge if you're getting onto the I5- BUT one of the best parts about living here in West Seattle is the the "hidden" routes and surface streets you can take to avoid the traffic jam on the WS bridge. Parking downtown Seattle is always free on Sundays and Holidays. Otherwise, parking ranges from $2-5/hour and about $20 per day for parking garages. -There are 9 steps with no hand railing to get up to our studio entrance. Please keep this in mind for late night arrival and suitcases. The auto light sensor will come on at night to aid in the night time arrivals. -We live in a very hilly area where certain parts are steep. It is definitely manageable, but not recommended for elderly or people with slight disabilities. -We do not have a washer or dryer in unit. -No Air Conditioning Unit. -We have radiant in-floor heating and it will take a couple hours for the heat to rise to your desired temperature. -We do not have a full Kitchen. No Stove/cooktop. PHOTO SHOOTS OR FILMING* *The studio does rent for photo shoots and filming but this is NOT included in the vacation rental fee. Photo/Film shoots are a different price structure, and require acceptance of filming contract. Idyllic, Romantic Beachfront Apartment in Malibu

Fall asleep to the sound of ocean waves in this charming beachfront apartment. The light, airy home features open-plan living and a wall of windows to maximize the amazing views. Enjoy drinks on the deck and a sunset over the water—it's pure bliss. This beachfront apartment is right above the sand and surf. At night the sounds of the sea will lull you to sleep. During the day, you can watch the sea lions sunning on the rocks and dolphins and whales swimming by or go for a walk along the water's edge and dive in yourself. This is an amazing place to have a glass of wine and watch the sunset and relax! In the evening, the lights of the "Queen's Necklace" glimmer in the distance and the moonlight shines on the water. The living room is cozy with two loveseats to snuggle in and watch a movie on the 50" flat screen TV. Three large sliding glass doors open up if you want to let the ocean breezes blow through. The kitchen is small but fully equipped with an apartment size stove and oven, a microwave, a Keurig coffee maker and a French press, tea kettle, toaster and all the dishes and pots and pans you need. A round table with linens provides a beautiful spot for morning coffee. The bedroom has a queen bed with a new organic mattress and designer sheets, pillows and duvet. There is a large closet with room to store your clothes. Books line the bookshelves if you'd like something to read. Mostly, this is just a quiet, beautiful space to put your feet up and really relax while watching the endless panorama of the natural world outside. And....if you want to feel like a movie star, the apartment was recently used as a glamorous setting in an independent film due out soon!!! Two-person kayak (life jackets available) Boogie Boards and a surfboard Television with premium channels (HBO, Showtime, etc.) Wi-Fi Shared entry gate with one other unit. My husband and I live in a small cottage above the apartment but the only shared space is the entry door. We rarely even see our guests. However, I am always available to answer questions or concerns but almost no one has them! Situated directly above the sand and surf, the home is in a residential area along the Malibu coast, away from the tourist areas. Take in the stars at night while strolling along the beach, or eat at one of the nearby restaurants right on the water. There is bus service available just a minute from the apartment that will take you into Santa Monica or the center of Malibu, or farther north to some of Malibu's more remote beaches. Uber is readily available. At high tide, the ocean may come right up to the seawall limiting beach availability. This all depends on the moon, the tides and the amount of sand that we have. This can really vary from day to day and depending on the season. This winter, rough seas washed away our private stairs to the beach, so guests need to use the public access stairs just a few houses away and a very short walk.

Private Malibu Getaway with White Water Ocean Views

Fire up the barbecue on a spacious private deck as the sun sets over the Pacific. This intimate and modern guest suite offers spectacular panoramic ocean views. Jump into your own private plunge pool (6’x12’) to cool off, or take a short walk to the beach. This is the perfect spot to escape the crowds and relax in your own secret hideaway. Our place is a beautiful one bedroom multi-level modern apartment with amazing views and loud waves. It is perfect for 2 people but can accommodates up to maximum of 4 people: queen size bed in the bedroom, and a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. Bedroom, bathroom and a walk-in closet are located on the upper level of the apartment. Bathroom has a shower cabin. Washer and dryer are in the bedroom behind the curtain. Open plan living, dining and kitchen area are on the lower level of the apartment leading to the big outside deck with the small pool. Kitchen has all the amenities - refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, gas stove/oven with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. We provide light breakfast - coffee, tea, oatmeal. The pool is at the deck level, just right outside of the apartment main entry. The pool can be heated for an extra daily fee of $50.00 BBQ is available, if you wish to grill something. Our home is a non-smoking environment. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property, either inside or outside. We politely ask to respect our guest policy and not to have more than 4 people in the apartment. Guests that don't follow our policy will be reported to Airbnb immediately. We are located right off PCH up the hill. You can access the apartment by going down the long set of stairs along the blue railing on the left side of the property. There is plenty of free street parking at the apartment. Always available in person, via phone or text, if you need anything. The guest suite sits in the lower level of the main house on a quiet street. It's within walking distance to Duke's, Old Malibu Courthouse, and La Costa Country Mart. The house is located in eastern Malibu. Why wait - come and experience the beautiful Malibu firsthand! Many people rent a car or use a car service like Uber or Lyft, but public transportation is also available. Metro line bus #534 (bus stop is 3 minute walk from the house) takes you to downtown Malibu and Santa Monica, and from there you can transfer to the Expo train line which takes you to downtown LA and elsewhere. There are also Big Blue Bus and Culver City Bus lines available in Santa Monica. It’s almost never winter in Malibu: sunny and warm, gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. Malibu always offers a great escape from a busy city to enjoy the ocean, beach and sun.

Please note that during the winter months, our 1960s artistically unique treehouse may get chilly. However, we have plenty of space heaters and throw blankets to keep you warm. The house is in a secluded, wooded neighborhood with quiet neighbors. Enjoy 3 different decks on the top floor, each with a different ocean or forest view. Inside the home, you will enjoy the clean and comfortable space with luxurious touches throughout. The treehouse comes with all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay. It has 3 bedrooms, a full bath, and a full kitchen with everything you need to make dinner for 6. The house cannot sleep more than 6 people including children of any age. A total of 8 people can be in the house. After 8 pm additional guests need to vacate the premises. This is to ensure the continued use of our permit as well as to respect our neighbors. Guests will have access to the entire house and are free to explore this 1.5-acre wooded property. I will meet you at the property to say hello and provide you with a door code.
