Holiday rentals with a pool in Valado dos Frades

Had such a lovely week in Nazaré. Rachelle was such a great host - we were delayed due to flight delays on arrival and she waited until 1:30am to say hi to us and show us around. She was very responsive with replies and we locked our key in the house and she dropped one off straight away! The house was really clean and had lots of cooking amenities. We opted to have the pool heated for the extra €120 and I woukd definitely recommend this as it was really warm! The property is a little bit far outside of nazare centre, so you really need to get taxis to and from town but we used Ubers a lot which were only €4 each way. We surfed most days at Praia des pareses which is a lovely beach with great waves. Overall a lovely trip. Would recommend. Only minor issue was having to be quiet after 10pm and not use the pool after this time so if you are wanting a more party week then I’d probably look at other options. For us this was fine though :) Thanks Rachelle!

We stayed in Joaquim's accommodation for 9 nights and we really enjoyed the location of the accommodation! 1 hour 20 minutes from Lisbon, 20 minutes from Nazaré, 40 minutes from Fatima by car. ideal accommodation both for its location and for comfort! And the best of course was the pool! Refreshing with 35 degrees! Very good stay! We will gladly come back, I recommend this rental 😉

Functional, pleasant and spacious house. As described and photos. Host welcoming and responsive. There are no negative points. We had a great time. You can rent this house without hesitation. If we return to Portugal, we will undoubtedly try to rent this house again. There were 8 of us, 7 adults and 1 child. The pool is lovely. And the hosts are very welcoming. The bottle of wine offered on arrival is a bonus that is very much appreciated.

We had a great stay in extremely comfortable surroundings. Clean, spacious, well equipped. Fabulous swimming pool! Exiting the property a bit hazardous by car. The property is on a very busy main road and is a lorry route, you need two people to exit, one in the street as traffic flies by! A mirror situated so that you can see what is coming would be extremely helpful. The road is noisy but did not penetrate the house too much. Most shops, restaurants, etc are a short drive away. There is nowhere close enough on foot. Beds are comfortable but bed linen and towels are a little old and tired, they could do with replacing. Contacting the host during the week was problematical. Phone rings 3 times then changes to engaged tone. On one occasion all the electricity cut out, fortunately we were able to find the trip switches. We were aware that in an emergency we could not make immediate contact, a bit worrying. A minor point but as a party of 7, two sets of keys would have been helpful.

It's a perfect place! I highly recommend it if you want to spend quiet days close to many tourist places. The house is beautiful and is very well organized. There is parking right in front and having access to the pool is ideal for a good vacation. Accommodation is 10/10

Nice little apartment with great communal pool and terrace

Very nice place, quiet area. Very comfortable house, spacious with beautiful decoration. Takeaway a one minute walk away. Close to shops and beach. I enjoyed the mix of traditions, authenticity, and modernity. Excellent typical and inexpensive restaurants to discover. I recommend this house.

Luis and his Mom are amazing hosts, we loved the welcome treats when we got there. The house is very spacious, very nice and with very comfortable beds, with a well stocked kitchen. They have made their backyard look like a resort and we appreciated the nice sound of the waterfall by the pool in the morning. The area is very peaceful and you are away from tourists, yet it is a short drive to Nazare, and other beach towns. We liked staying at their home because we were supporting a family business.

Loved this home, well cared for and loved by Allie and Daniel. They are the best hosts. Well located, a short walk to the pharmacy and general store. Lovely elevated position ensures a nice view of the lagoon. Only one minor comment to note. The apartment is on the top level without elevator. Two or three flights of steps, depending on the level at which you approach the steps…. May be difficult for disabled or elderly or those laden with lots of luggage. Thank you for a lovely stay.

An excellent spacious lovely apartment. Super comfortable bed, quiet neighbourhood, best night sleep I’ve had for ages. In mid-May the pool was of course cool, but useable for an exercise swim. Good communication with host, very helpful at all times, lived nearby I think.

This was our best experience renting for our honeymoon. We will definitely be back because of the interactions had with Rickard and Lana. From the beginning they called and talked to us about best places to surf, resturants, etc. They let us know exactly what to expect. We had to reschedule due to a family emergency and they accommodated us no question and helped make it an easy process. Once we got to the airport they helped instruct us how to get to the place. Upon arrival the place was exactly what was pictured and pristine. It was perfect for us with the best view in Baleal. We got to watch the sunset over the ocean from our balcony! Rickard and Lana were available to answer any questions promptly! They are considered super DUPER hosts in my eyes. 100 out of 10! We will be back!

A wonderful place. Helpful and responsive hosts. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a home from home stay.
