Smoking-friendly holiday rentals in Valado dos Frades

We loved this cozy place, best mix of carefully renovated rooms, handmade (wooden) bed and new furniture ! Lots of space in the kitchen, little balcony to enjoy sunsets. The Aldi nearby is super handy and the Airbnb is at walking distance to the beach and Town center. For surfing, as it was quite windy, we took the car to the other (more protected) site of the beach. The early Check-in and late check-out made our stay perfect!

We had an amazing stay at Albert’s apartment in Peniche! As a group of four geology students exploring the region, this place was perfect for us. The apartment was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was great—close to the coast and the incredible geological sites we came to study. Albert was an outstanding host—super friendly, responsive, and always happy to help with local tips and recommendations. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would absolutely recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting Peniche. Thanks again, Albert!

It was a week of well spent vacation, where we had everything we needed in the apartment (utensils/services/machines) as communicated to us by Mr. Luis. In the vicinity there are excellent places of gastronomy with good price/quality ratio. The place is quiet and with good access both for walking and to discover new destinations by car.

This place was amazing for the price! The host was so friendly and helpful, always checking in on me and giving me local recommendations, even offering to drive me to the bus station after my stay. There are lots of restaurants only a 10-15 minute walk away, and beautiful beaches 5 minutes away. The location was fantastic and I slept very well in the quiet. Kitchen had everything I needed and the place was heated.

Luís and Ana's accommodation is in a great location to enjoy your stay in Peniche: close to the beaches, supermarkets (two are right behind the apartment), and points of interest such as the Cabo Carvoeiro cliff and the liberation museum; it is also a quiet area and in the evening it is very quiet. Communication has always been excellent with both, I had problems with the car rental and they have always been very helpful both as intermediaries and to organize the check-in, which, due to this oversight, happened very late at night. The apartment is clean and well maintained, the kitchen is stocked and there is enough space for a family of four, and even more considering the sofa bed.

We were well received. The house was clean and the kitchen well equipped. Good location, with a nice walk we could go to the center. Good view. The weather did not allow the use of the pool, but it also seemed quite pleasant to us. The only thing we didn't like very much was the beds that, to our taste, had hard mattresses.

We had a wonderful stay at the cute house! Our daughter loved the rooftop and our son the courtyard. It was very central and the bakery on the corner to fall in love with. We were everywhere on foot which was very pleasant.

Ana's mother-in-law was the one who received us. Very sweet lady! I arrived just before the time of the chek-in and asked if I could enter earlier and was accessed. the site corresponds to the pictures. Everything was very clean. In the kitchen there are many more utensils than the necessary ones. The region is very good for holidays and is located relatively close to several points of interest for tourists. Without a doubt I recommend!

What an amazing stay! From the location, which embraces nature and brings incredible calm, to the house itself, equipped with all the necessary utensils for a perfect stay. I also have to thank Adriana and her father for the ease of communication and all the attention given! It will certainly be a place to visit again!

A charming house, a shame it rains and not being able to enjoy the garden and the barbecue. The fireplace heated the living room and the upper bedroom, but in the rest a little bit of cold at night that we solved with an electric radiator that was there. We had a great time in general, nothing was missing. 100% recommended, thank you very much Francisca.

We have had a very enjoyable time here. We have relaxed on the terrace, enjoyed the peace and comfort of your spacious and uncluttered home, explored the village and its surroundings and had many fine walks along the lagoon and by the sea. You do need a car! Shopping at 1 of 2 large supermarkets is super easy and only 10 minutes away. We have had a few excellent meals out and Robert’s book of places to go to and things to do has been invaluable. There is an excellent express bus to Lisbon at almost all times of day (50 minutes) with a large free carpark adjacent. Finally, but definitely not least, is Maria Jose who has been so helpful, friendly and informative. She is truly integral to the house and its comfort. One word of caution - there are many open stairs and steps in this house which may be a challenge to less agile people. Many thanks to our excellent hosts Robert and Saskia!

An ideal and peaceful environment. In front of a golf course, a pleasant green space. A pool is available for each house pole. Clean and close beaches. For Surfers the coast is filled with accessible spot. Regarding the house, ideal for a family of 4. Clean, clear, through and very well equipped. For George, responsive to every request. Before and after check-in and to resolve small material issues. Truly a real joy and a beautiful discovery of Portugal. Thank you George for the welcome.

Great apartment for a family of 4 or two couples. Has everything you could need. The pool was super and not too busy. The resort is great (super sandy beach) and there are many things to do locally. Would really recommend! We will be back!

Had a fantastic stay at Pedro’s apartment. Pedro’s parents met us and gave us a tour when we arrived. The place was super clean and we had everything we needed. They even setup a small Christmas tree (we arrived on Christmas Day) - very nice touch. Very safe, quiet and easy street parking a few steps away. It’s a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, which was amazing. Many fantastic beaches within a 15-30 minute drive. Only small issue we had was no wifi (but this was stated in the listing, so I knew beforehand) and poor to no cellphone service when we in the apartment. We had a great time and Pedro is an awesome host.

This was a wonderful find. I was in a car and found this location to be a great place to be based to explore the area- very easy to Caldas, Peniche and Baleal. Walkable to the restaurants and cafe’s in Ferrell. I felt very well cared for and Walterlacia was very responsive. If I had any questions she was right there with a kind answer or suggestion. I was able to stay here in the middle of a big trip and the opportunity to do my laundry was a gift. I recommend this place and would stay again

Everything about this place is at least as good, if not better, than your expectations! It is very spacious , light and airy, with windows on 3 sides , sea views , lovely stone floors and immaculate throughout. The kitchen has everything you need and all the basic foods which you can just use and replace. The supermarket is right next door, and just after that the cliffs , perfect for a spectacular morning run before the sea mist dissipates. (It was misty about half the mornings but don’t worry , the sun comes out and is lovely ). The pool is also great, with a proper deep end and we saw it cleaned regularly.(there’s a good view from the kitchen) . We also used the garage which has a lift or stairs directly up to your flat , couldn’t have been easier. The area is very varied, tiny fisherman’s cottages and strange derelict areas- not really touristy , even down at the port ( about 18 mins walk) where you will inevitably eat fantastic sea food. The surf school was 13 mins walk , so this flat is brilliantly situated for all your holiday needs. We also walked to Supertubos beach in about 40 mins. We visited Obidos , which is stunning and Baleal -to eat at one of Rodrigo’s excellent recommendations. Rodrigo could not have communicated more quickly or helpfully and was very friendly and accommodating. The Wi Fi was good too , even though Rodrigo forgot to mention that he had it!!

What's expected from a beach lodge! Everything works and beach very close by. Ricarda always close and ready to resolve any issues that may arise.
