A beautiful location. Breathtaking views. The house is beautifully designed and finished with beautiful materials. The kitchen is well equipped. The bed is of good quality. Really nice to wake up with a view of the sea. Eating out is wonderful. There are nice places to sit. Kathryn is a great hostess! She responds quickly and has helped tremendously with the planning of our trip. Perhaps it is good to mention that the house is part of a family home. Neighbors and a gardener sometimes pass through the garden / over the terrace. There is also some noise from the machines in the port - at the bottom of the garden

Donatellas place was lovely and big with stunning views out to the port and ocean from the multiple terraces. It was truly amazing. My mother in law (who was travelling with us) was born in nearby Valchiesa and we were back to visit relations. We visited the house where she was born and lots of relations who fed us very well. Some of us hiked to the top of nearby Monte del Fossa Felci which is the higher of the two volcanic peaks on Salina. An elevation of 960 metres above sea level from where the views were gobsmacking. The house was great and well featured and fitted the 6 of us very nicely. Unfortunately we had to leave two days early due to a storm and bad weather coming in which meant that the ferries to and from the islands would not be running for about 5 days. We would love to return again in summertime. We would highly recommend this property and hosts. :-) Chris, Karen and family

Superb experience. The host family was super friendly and nice. Beyond expectations. Totally recommend this place for a visit in Salina.
